Today we bring you the story of the cute little bear cub Tango. Tango is just one month old but it has seen a lot of pain in its small life until now. Tango loves milk and playing slap game. He is an active bear cub who is so heavy that he cannot carry his own weight and often falls down going off balance. Today tango is happy and cheerful but things were not peaceful as today some time back. Tango was born somewhere between the lush green forests of Manipur in India. Tango had a younger brother called Charlie. The mother of Tango and Charlie were killed by the hunters in the forest. The hunters captured these two brothers and were selling them over a desolate street of Manipur. This is when a kind hearted man saw them and asked the shopkeeper why these bear cubs have been captivated. The answer he gave was quiet unusual. Tango and Charlie were being sold off as an edible substance there. The man immediately bought them in exchange of just 300 rupees with the intention of saving their lives but Charlie due to his physical weakness and failing health couldn’t survive for long. Tango on the other hand was a strong kid. He not only survived but he was very comfortable and happy living around humans. Tango was growing really fast and his adopter could feel that he was not mend to become a pet. Tango deserved a huge place to play and he should be around other bears as they are his true family. The owner decided that it was the right time to teach Tango some jungle skills like self-defense. After his training was over Tango was handover to the district forest officials who left him in the safer part of the forest where he could be safe from the hunter’s eyes and monitored regularly in case he felt some discomfort adjusting in the wild. It was difficult to say goodbye to cute Tango but we all know that wild animals are meant to survive in the wild and nowhere else. Best Ways To Avoid Bear Attack During Himalayan Trek
Best Ways To Avoid Bear Attack During Himalayan Trek #bearattack #himalayanbear
The Attack can be a dangerous and even fatal occurrence, and it is a very well known fact that the Himalayan bears are very aggressive, even when they are compared to the grizzly bears of the North American continent. They become irritated very easily when they encounter humans, and some are even man-eaters. If you visit the Himalayan villages, you will be able to understand that bear attacks are…

The Himalayan bear at Islamabad zoo has died. For years, visitors and activists raised concerns about the Himalayan bear and begged for her to be shifted to a sanctuary.
The condition that the female bear lived in were extremely cruel and disturbing:
View Clip of the bear  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_W31_BvpLhU
The bear lived in a concrete enclosure in the ground circular that resembled a well below ground (the bear could only look up and see the sky)
Kept in complete isolation alone / weaving back and forward
No grass, No water, No enrichment
Safety Issues / Visitors would stone the bear throw garbage & bottles in the enclosure
Bears aren't used to being confined and crammed into an enclosure. Swaying in bears or pacing and moving their head from side to side are abnormal behaviours. This bear was deeply disturbed a term called zoochosis. The administration control of Islamabad zoo was changed in (2016) from Capital Development Authority (CDA) to Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI). It's the duty of government to promote conservation by framing strict laws regarding these animals, but they continue to suffer. The bear died, sending out a clear message that the animals continue to suffer and that authorities are taking no interest in ensuring that there are proper facilities or care provided to animals. Himalyan bears are found in North Pakistan and considered to be critically endangered and facing extinction. The lack of awareness of Islamabad zoo administrator's, who are ignoring the bears' ecological and social importance, is making things worse. There are no laws in Pakistan to protect animals in captivity. We must ask for the framing of strict laws regarding the issues below: Pakistan Zoos Need To Establish: · Laws for Captive Held Animals · Management Of Zoos · Training Staff · Animal Welfare Issues Please sign this petition to say that this bear should have been protected! The Zoo must not get another bear! It's about time Islamabad Zoo administrators understand the animals they have captive are in crisis and that the bear should not be replaced.
