“Oh the water is just perfect today! Cooling down from the sun in here is nice! Why not give it a try too? Maybe you and your trainer can swim a round or two together! I can give you a lift if you want too!” The hybrid smiled. “I see humans riding on Lapras’ backs quite often at home so I’m sure I could do that too!”

How did Pearly Shells become the father of Hannah and Cassy?

“I have been living in this area of the beach for a long time and often came across young Pokemon who, for some reason, needed someone to take care of them.

Hannah for example was left behind by the school of Lapras she was born in, probably because of the Vaporeon genes from her fathers’ side. I found her lying on the beach all alone, whining and crying for her family, so I started to feed her. She now is old enough to hunt herself, visits me on a nearly daily basis here. She quicky started to call me ‘Papa’, even though she knew I’m neither her father, nor attempt to be a father figure. Just a caretaker.

Cassys’ case was similar. They were left behind by a trainer who caught them in his vacation, but quickly grew tired and released Cassy again. As they didn’t know anyone I had an eye on that child as well. Hannah was amazed and they quickly became close friends.

I have no idea where this Litten came from, but I guess I’ll look after them until they’re old enough to survive alone. Who would even leave a newborn alone?…”
