I guess when the people in Kamome got infected as candy zombies they went after the people they were fond of or interested in.

Because when Nene sees Hanako as a zombie in the bathrooms, he wonders if it’s Yashiro, then turns around and tries to bite her because he thinks she’s candy.

And then when Kou shows up, Hanako wants him too.

Ive actually never thought abt it before..i think i rlly only looked into lemonkane before but i think both cld be rlly cute!!! Esp since lemonkane was technically canon at one point iirc
