I would just love love love a Little Women movie (or, even better, another miniseries to capture everything that happens and the episodic nature of the books) where they wear HUGE Gone With the Wind 1939-esque dresses aaaaaand bonnets. Dresses with hoops under them. Corsets are, to be honest, what I would like for my own aesthetic joy, but I understand them not being used in Little Women adaptations because of their Modern Views. But hoop skirts?! Yesssss pleaseeeeeee.

Charlie and Paulette attend Hollywood premiere of “Gone With The Wind” Fox’s Carthay Circle Theater December 28th 1939.
Paulette Goddard screen tested as did practically every actress in Hollywood for the coveted role of Scarlet.
Charlie was in the middle of production of “The Great Dictator” hence the dark hair.
