An electronic music genre that was developed in Detroit stemming from [Detroit Techno] music with influences from Chicago Ghettohouse, [Miami Bass], electro, etc. It is uptempo, stripped down, gritty music made for dancing, specifically the "jit." If a bunch of white rappers from MPLS want to call themselves [ghettotech], then so be it, but let it be known that the above definition is the true definition of [GHETTOTECH].
Call me basic, but I have absolutely fallen in love with Tim Burton's recent Netflix series 'Wednesday', as the rest of the world has, and I've especially been especially enjoying some of the vibes the show's soundtrack has bought. I am also loving some of the music being used for 'Wednesday' edits on Tik Tok, so I made a playlist for me to enjoy inspired by all of this music, which I thought I would share.
Tear You Apart -She Wants Revenge
Bloody Mary - Lady Gaga
Goo Goo Muck - The Cramps
Frankenstein - Rina Sawayama
Travesty - Kaeler Grey
Human Fly - The Cramps
LoveGame Chew Fu Ghettohouse Fix - Lady Gaga, Marilyn Manson
The Perfect Girl - Mareux
She Will Always Be A Broken Girl - She Wants Revenge
the way the LoveGame (Chex Fu Ghettohouse Fix) has reworked the "Hold me and love me, just wanna touch you for a minute, baby 3 seconds is enough for my heart to quit it" line makes me feel similarly to whenever I crave a hug/physical closeness in general and how even the smallest quickest accidental brush of shoulders/hands with another human, skin to skin, sends me into metaphorical cardiac arrest because I am so disgustingly touch-starved and not used to it.
