#RapSnacks #RapSnacksBarBQuinWithMyHoneyTrufflePotatoChips #FlavoredFlavoredPotatoChipsReview
I tried the Rap Snacks Bar-B-Quin With My Honey Truffle Potato Chips and these were pretty good.
These were light, crispy, airy, and not greasy in texture.
These chips had a lightly sweet and salty barbeque taste to it while also having the taste of honey at the end.
I remember these chips being on the news that the Rapper on the bag got sued by the Mattel company since she used the Barbie name and needed to be changed.
I would eat these again.
Got at the BP Gas Station.
Found it.

Adventures in Maud's Recipes
Tomato Jelly Salad
The Recipe
It's been a while since I've picked up LMM's cookbook, after the successes of the New Moon Pie, the cornbread, and the potato soup! I experienced hit after hit - New Moon pie was light and delectable, the cornbread a taste of Eden, and the potato soup apparently academy award worthy. Why at this point, I thought to myself, I should trust Maud's judgement implicitly when it comes to the dinner table. But then I pondered: I'd only tried the recipes that are difficult to get wrong. What if I tried one of the more out there recipes? Cornbread is one thing; raisin pie another. I considered my options. There was dandelion wine, but that required wild dandelions and I didn't feel like curling up with a book and a glass of pesticide; salmon jello molds (yes, really) but that was too much for me (there are some paths even I dare not tread for the sake of lm montgomery); or, I found, there was the aforementioned tomato jelly salad. This salad involves tomato juice, vinegar, onion, sugar (hold on, now we get crazy) which you combine with gelatine to make a jello (keep holding on) and then while the molds are forming, you add a vegetable such as peas or cabbage. For the crunch, I suppose. After all, everyone wants their jello to be crunchy. For obvious reasons, I hesitated. While I do not hate jello, I am suspicious of jello combined with tomatos and peas. In fact, it took me months to build up the emotional resilience to try. Yet, try, I have, and you shall hear of it.
The Results
After a rather disastrous mold experience (I made the mistake of pouring into a floppy dish instead of a metal one, thus meaning any movement of the dish resulted in tomato jello liquid everywhere), we landed on this:
Tumblr media
Do you see the peas? Waiting, in the jello like little minnows? What's not to like about this presentation? I love all of my meals to look like bloodsoaked peas. I go for "Veggie Tales mass murder" when it comes to meal presentation, personally.
After bravely moving past the Veggie Tales crime scene, I popped a piece out onto a plate. Here's what it looked like out of the mold (featuring wizard hat roommate's banana chips in the background, my food photography skills are truly impeccable):
Tumblr media
That looks vaguely pretty, if it weren't for the peas. One last photo - much like a crime scene, I feel obligated to provide photos from multiple angles. The mold is definitely molding. I suppose you could argue this is vaguely Christmas themed due to the red and green.
Tumblr media
The Review
You're supposed to eat this wrapped in a lettuce leaf, but I detest lettuce leaves in that form and refused to do so. I would take this pure, raw, unfiltered by any form. Wizard Hat Roommate insisted on watching as I took the first bite. Tremulously, I took up the fork. Would it taste all right? Would the texture be too much? Would Lucy Maud deliver? I paused, then boldly took a bite.
I want you to imagine the flavor of ketchup. Then I want you to imagine this flavor transmitted via the medium of jello. Then on top of that, as the cherry on this veggie tales sundae, I want you to imagine this ketchup has peas in it. Needless to say: I did not enjoy it. It tasted wrong...disordered...as if the earth itself shuddered as I bit into it. Is this how Frankenstein felt, feeling his creation lurking in every corner of the world? Haunted by the work of his own two hands?
Okay, in all honesty: it wasn't that bad. It wasn't good, but it wasn't bad. The taste was okay - I didn't like it but it wasn't disgusting. The texture was weird - I didn't like it but it wasn't disgusting. The two combined admittedly pushed it, but it only toed the line of being gag worthy.
It didn't help that the color of the jello meant my subconscious kept expecting a sweet cherry flavor, only for my mouth to meet vinegary tomato and peas. Ketchup jello with peas on top is not for me personally, though I won't speak for anyone else. Wizard Hat Roommate insisted on trying one, and actually finished hers. She described it as something she'd never make, but she could eat. We shall see if Clifford Roommate has the same opinion.
So, what would I rate this? Well, if a zero is a mouse in a pudding sauce, and a ten is Susan's monkey paws, I rate it Aunt Martha's ditto served cold and topped with peas.

My observations from the Welcome Home secret Episodes and Other Important Items. (Some details will be reblogged on this post.)
Hidden Video Link Summaries
These are summaries I created of each secret of @partycoffin's Welcome Home episodes and the few things I've notices in them. I have yet to review the audio linked from the pictures drawn by Wally, but I am curious if they are the "Answers" to each question that cuts off the video.
These episodes can be accessed by finding all the bugs on the pages of the Welcome home website. I will late post all their locations, but the links will be pictured below.
In all the episodes, there is a loud dial sound or a noise cutting to the video at the beginning. The video ends when another character mentions Wally, causing the video and audio to glitch. We seem to be viewing Wally’s point of view in these episodes.
“Answer"
Howdy delivers yarn to Poppy and procures a “yarn spinner” which is most likely a handheld whisk. Poppy is appreciative but skeptical about this device, as she already has help from Wally.
POV- We are sitting on a quilt with yarn in our hands looking at the ground. He remains rather stationary the entire time.
2. “Answer”
Sally is asking Poppy to make her a cake for an upcoming show or play. She wants a huge three tier cake that’s vibrant and showstopping. Poppy inquires about the flavor or the cake, but Sally hadn’t thought that far ahead since the audience wouldn’t be able to taste it from their seats. Then Poppy asks Wally what he thinks and that’s when the video ends.
POV- We are sitting on a quilt with plates of tea, an apple, pancakes, and a duck plate of a single piece of broccoli. Compared to last time, we see Wally move his hand back and forth from the teacup in front of him.
3. "Answer"
Sally has come in to Howdy’s grocery store to buy either chips or potatoes. She wants something light, something not as heavy as chips so Howdy suggests mashed potatoes. She ends up getting those and a bunch of other food that seem inedible. Then Howdy asks if Wally wants anything.
POV- We are facing two cereal boxes. The cereal box on the right is moved forward slightly during the video.
4. “Answer”
Frank tends to his flowers while Barnaby makes insufferable jokes. He insists that Barnaby leave since his jokes are poisoning his flowers. Frank then asks Wally how he deals with Barnaby, ending the video.
POV- We are sitting in the tomato garden surrounded by clothespins of red, blue, yellow, orange. To his front right, there is either a pulverized or half eaten tomato and to his left is a blue clothespin facing upside down in the dirt. These clothespins oddly look like people.
5. “Answer”
Eddie is delivering mail when he trips and falls over. He gets back up and mentions that he ran into a few buildings today and played hopscotch that Julie drew earlier. He delivers the mail he has for Wally, and Barnaby begins to chase Eddie who is supposed to deliver his Kazoo collection today. Eddie runs away as Barnaby makes it to the front to Wally.
POV- We look to be staring at the ground with leaves on the left side and an odd-looking teethed stick in front of him. The ground seems to be covered in letters.
6. “Answer”
Frank is talking with Julie about how there are beetles eating up the tomatoes he’s grown. He wishes they would leave the tomatoes alone so Julie suggests that they put up a sign to tell them that they can look but not touch. But Frank insists the beetles can’t read. Julie believes that they can because they have big eyes, but Frank says that comment was rude, and they poke fun at each other with rude jokes. Then Frank suggests coming up with a joke to save his Tomatoes, saying that with the three of them, they could figure something out.
POV- We are pointed down in at the ground, similar to the position in video 4, where we are in the tomato patch. This time the clothespins are rearranged and where the blue clothespin was, are a few yellow tomatoes that have been half eaten and lightly covered in dirt. The red tomato on the right is covered in dirt too.
7. “Answer”
Julie is instructing Eddie on how to be a good associate of the “Breen Berry” company, with her as President Joyful. She is demanding that Eddie follow along at her pace, as it is difficult to run a business. Julie gets a phone call from someone and finds out that the company has gone broke, and she goes on a rampage. Eddie gets a call from Barnaby who’s looking for Wally and Eddie hands Wally the phone.
POV- We are looking at a piece of paper with a drawing of a pie and a drawing of Wally with the word “Breen” written at the bottom. There are crayons and some colored paper next to him.
8. “Answer”
A bell rings and Frank enters the post office where Eddie is freaking out about a beetle in the office. Apparently, it has been rummaging around, making a mess of things, so Eddie called Frank to catch it. Frank teases him and catches the beetle, taking it away.
POV- We are next to a pile of paper chains and paper, looking down at them.
9. “Answer”
Poppy is trying a new recipe out, one that involves fruit and seeds, with no gelatin. Frank comforts her as they talk about the food. Frank references that if the muffins were shaped into butterflies and had the seeds in them, that could’ve saved his garden from the previous episodes. Poppy is so worried she will burn or hurt herself in some way as she takes out the muffins and Frank reassures her, asking Wally to assure that everyone is safe and sound.
POV- We are looking down at a plate and an apple shaped game of tic-tac-toe. A tray of fruit and seed muffins slide onto the table, and later a handkerchief or towel is put down beside it.
10. “Answer”
Sally is rehearsing a play where Julie is princess turned queen and house is her knight in shining armor. Julie is supposed to be reading from the script but she keeps adding wacky lines declared as law, which in turn frustrates Sally. Sally lets it go and then emphasizes how difficult directing is to Wally.
POV- We are looking at a script procured by Sally, showing the lines that Julie is supposed to be reading.
11. “Answer”
Julie is making jokes to Barnaby and says that they are absolutely terrible. Julie continues to try and prove that they’re good, exclaiming that Frank thinks she is funny too. Barnaby continues to tease her, and Julie tries to get Wally to agree that she’s funny.
POV- We are looking at the leaves as the sun peers through them. It looks as if it were sunset.
12. “Answer”
Howdy is telling a story about his very extensive family members and Barnaby acts to be interested, trying to follow along in Howdy’s tale. Barnaby makes some jokes about the play-on-words and they both laugh. Then Howdy asks Wally how his drink is.
POV- We look down at a table with a sundae to our right and a spoon and a blue swirly straw to our left. The tablecloth is striped red and white.
13. “Answer”
Eddie delivers a bunch of packages to Howdy and finds he needs to deliver a bunch of bowling balls to Julie.
POV- We are looking at a bunch of multicolored apples.
14. "Answer"
Barnaby is making jokes to House who replies with squeaks and creeks. Barnaby then makes a joke that House doesn’t like and Barnaby tries to prove that he is funny. Then Barnaby notices that Wally has stopped painting and is acting weird.
POV- We are starring at a blob of white paint and a blob or red paint.

Book Blurb: Perfect for fans of New Kid and A First Time for Everything, a joyful and tearful debut middle grade graphic memoir about one girl being uprooted when she moves to Hong Kong, a place where her family fits in but, for her, it's nothing like home.
Ruth Chan loves her hometown in Toronto, hanging out with her best friends for life, and snacking on ketchup flavored potato chips, which are the best. What Ruth doesn’t love is having to move to Hong Kong after her dad gets a new job there.
Her mom is excited to reunite with her family, but it’s not the same for Ruth. In Hong Kong, her classes are harder, her Cantonese isn’t good enough, and her parents are never around. Ruth feels lonely and completely uprooted.
But as Ruth’s dad tells stories about her family, about how they relied on their strength, courage, and each other to survive the most difficult times, Ruth realizes that she too can be strong. Gradually, she puts down roots, knowing that home will always be where her heart is.
Review:
A great story about a girl's life becoming uprooted as she moves from Toronto to Hong Kong and starts over. Ruth Chan loves her life in Toronto but when her dad gets a better job in Hong Kong, her family decides it's time to move. Ruth isn't ready to give up her best friends, her favorite things, and starting over in a new place where her language skills aren't the best and her parents are never around is hard. Ruth will go through a lot of growing but along the way her dad will tell her stories of her family and how they have persevered. Moving to a new place and trying to fit into a whole new society is hard, but anything is possible with a bit of strength, courage, and open heart. This was a really cute story and since it was based on the author's own life, it really felt so authentic. I think it's a great read for kids !
*Thanks Netgalley and Macmillan Children's Publishing Group, Roaring Brook Press for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

Doritos Tangy Ketchup Review
Tumblr media
I heard about these from a friend and as a known ketchup lover, I had to go check them out. I checked a few stores near me, and luckily I was able to get my hands on a bag (also managed to get the Hot Mustard ones too, but those will get their own review). They were apparently initially released in September 2022 but this is the first I'd heard of them - I haven't paid a lot of attention to new chip releases since the 2013 Lay's Do Us A Flavor campaign ended in such a fiasco. (Those Chicken and Waffles chips were disgusting.)
Anyway, I digress. Onto the chips.
The ketchup taste is a bit subdued at first, and as with all Doritos there were some chips that were inconsistently dressed with the powdered flavoring. It took me a few chips before I could really taste the ketchup flavor, which is prominent, surprisingly rich, and complements the corn chip flavor quite well. I was a little worried that it would be an odd mix, but Frito-Lay has done a great job.
It's a typical Dorito, so nothing to be said about the chip part. Ketchup chip enjoyers may liken these to Herr's Ketchup Potato Chips, or to the long-gone Ketchup flavored Lay's (gone from the United States, but forever in our hearts). However, these have a bit of a bold and rich take on ketchup. It's not Heinz or Hunt's or Red Gold, it's your weird cousin's artisan homemade ketchup cooked slow and with extra spices. The garlic and onion flavors are at the forefront along with the tomato flavor, and after eating a few chips a surprise heat starts to sizzle. It's not THAT spicy (I'm a white guy) but it's noticeable. Toward the end of the bite the sweet flavor really hits, and then on the way down the spice lingers along with the classic corn chip flavor.
I can't stop eating them. These are absolutely fucking incredible and I'm considering buying a bulk order if I can. 10/10.

Sweets and Snacks review Fall 2023
Crunky cookie ball: These are cookie balls covered in chocolate. 9/10
Tumblr media
Mini daifuku: These are bite sized red bean mochi. The mochi is so soft and chewy and the red bean is smooth and not too sweet. 10/10
Tumblr media
Yakiimo (sweet potato): These are a special type of Japanese sweet potato that are sold in fall/ winter time. They are kept warm on hot rocks and you can eat it by itself. You can buy it at the convenience store or supermarket!
Tumblr media
Tricolor dango: I usually eat one of these when I come home from work in order to muster the mental fortitude to do the dishes. It's also mochi- made with sweet rice flour. Dango comes in a lot of different varieties but the tricolor one is the most recognizable I think and it's also my favorite. 9/10
Tumblr media
Jagabee potato chips: These are potato chips shaped like french fries. They are really crunchy. They're really addicting and I could easily eat 2 bags. I've tried both the 'happiness butter' flavor and the lightly salted. Both are great and the lightly salted tastes exactly like french fries. 10/10
Tumblr media
Milk paste buns: These are small pastry buns filled with a sweet “milk” paste. It does not taste like milk, it's more of a sweet/ slightly creamy taste. I first tried these in 2019 and then never saw them again and thought I hallucinated them for a bit, so I was glad to see them. They're really good and I have not had any other dessert quite like it. I only see them at 7/11 just as a FYI. 10/10
Tumblr media
Alfort chocolate biscuits: This is my favorite candy bar in Japan. Chocolate tastes different here than in the states but it's really good. It comes as like 12 small cookie biscuits with chocolate on top. They come in a bunch of different varieties including strawberry, double chocolate, vanilla, and butter. The original is the best though. I buy one pretty much every time I enter familymart. (no picture sorry) 11/10
Sesame crackers: I buy these at the grocery store to put in my lunch everyday. They come in packs of two crackers. It's made with sesame and I could eat like 10 in one sitting if I tried. (also no picture but just trust me) 10/10

My review of Snoop Dogg Bar-B-Que and Cheddar flavored Rap Snacks ☞ Despite what being a potato chip might suggest, they do not have a greasy feeling to them. Rather the texture is crisp and somewhat dry. (I enjoyed mine with unsweetened iced tea 👍) The flavor might also be slightly deceptive to the average chip fan. Unlike most Cheddar flavored chips, the cheesiness is not overpowering, it instead offers a slight umami that contrasts the sweetness of the BBQ. They do however still leave a sweet aftertaste if that is not something you like. In regards to the bag's design, Snoop's visage on the front is somewhat reminiscent of an angel. Overall I give these chips ⭐ 5/5 stars ⭐ :) I will buy these again.

Five Forks Cafe
Our first stop on our visit to all of the pancake house in the Williamsburg area was five forks cafe. The food was so good we forgot to take pictures.
Our review:
Rating: 8.5
Parker rates it a 9 (doesn't want to rate it a 10 when we haven't tried other places yet), while I rated it an 8.
My order: Chocolate chip pancake
Parker's order: The Eggs Benedict special
Total price: 28.03
My Chocolate Chip Pancake was huge, taking up the entire large plate. It was very good, and Parker says it was the best they'd ever had.
The eggs benedict came with a country fried ham/bacon, which Parker gave to me. It had a maple flavor, but maybe that was just residual syrup on my fork. It paired very well with the chocolate chip pancake. The eggs benedict was also served with a side of hashed potatoes. They were good but didn't stand out.
Our coffee was pretty good, regular for a diner, they had half and half as creamer and both sugar and artificial sweeteners.
Overall the food was great, the vibes of the diner were friendly. The man ringing up our bill was wearing a pepe the frog hoodie, which Parker and I felt important to mention.
Parker also felt important to mention that they had visited before with their dad.
We definitely recommend this cafe, particularly for anyone looking to get away from the tourist attractions on Richmond Road.
We're looking forward to trying more restaurants soon.

now that i’m back in the us here are my british/irish food reviews
jaffa cakes: ?/5 at first bite they are gross and the cake is dry but they are weirdly addicting. two minutes later i wanted a second even though i didn’t like the first. impossible to rate.
ribena: 2/5 tasted fine while drinking but it had a weird too sweet aftertaste. saw somewhere you were supposed to mix with water(?) so i tried that but it didn’t help.
british starbursts: 3/5 flavors are better than american starburst especially lemon lime which is great but the texture’s not as good. too soft not as chewy don’t last as long.
cadbury crunchie: 5/5 love the crunchiness of the honeycomb and great flavor combo.
cadbury flake: 4/5 good chocolate but pretty simple. not something i will greatly miss.
cadbury dairy milk caramel 4.5/5: classic combo which left me wondering why we don’t just have a plain chocolate/caramel candy bar in the us they all have something else added in??
mars bar 3/5: exactly like a milky way bar which is good but i was disappointed it didn’t have anything special going on
walker’s cheese and onion crisps 4.5/5: new favorite potato chip/crisp flavor. seriously we need to introduce it to the us asap it’s way better than sour cream and onion
tayto cheese and onion crisps 5/5: like walker’s but somehow even better. i guess irish people are just better than british people at potato snacks.
tayto occasion crisps (aged cheddar and scallion) 1/5: these were weird and i think an attempt to be more healthy than the regular ones? didn’t finish, don’t buy.
lemonade, as a whole 3/5: better than i expected because last time i was in the uk and asked for lemonade they just brought me sprite. but they only seem to have sparkling soda type lemonade and not the regular kind. truly a failing for both the uk and ireland

#LaysFlavorMixVarietyPackMegaSize #RufflesCheddarSourCreamChips #LaysChips #RufflesFlavoredPotatoChips #FlavoredChipReview
I tried the Lay's Flavor Mix Variety Pack Mega Size Ruffles Cheddar & Sour Cream Chips and these were pretty good. These chips were crunchy and cheesy with a light cheddar & Sour cream kick. I really like the seasoning on this since the ridges help hold the flavor on the chips.
These were a little salty but not overly salty to me.
I would eat these agsin but with hummus or dip.

Juicing Is An Easy Way To Get The Health Benefits You Need
Using your juicer to make fresh fruit or vegetable juices daily can be a wonderful addition to your health care plan. Most people who start juicing report that they have more energy, feel better and even lose weight. Here are some helpful tips to help you get more from it. Juicing is a wonderful part of a healthy lifestyle, but you don't have to be totally strict about what you consume. You should practice excellent health choices at least two-thirds of the time. The other third allows you to go out to a restaurant, have a few potato chips, or indulge in some ice cream. You don't have to spend a fortune on fresh juicing produce as long as you shop in season. Berries are great in the summer, but will cost you an arm and a leg to buy in the winter, so skip them until the prices drop again. Apples last all winter, so feel free to buy a few bushels and keep them in the garage. When juicing leafy vegetables like spinach, ball the leaves together. If you form your vegetable leafs into a ball, like crumpled paper for instance, you will give a more solid mass for the juicer to work with. This will prevent small pieces of leaves from showing up in your juice and affecting the consistency. If you don't have time to juice in the morning, you can make juice on the weekend and drink it throughout the week. The truth is that the vitamins and other nutrients in the drink will break up as time passes, but it's better to drink homemade juice, than nothing at all! You should always remove the pits from fruit, such as peaches or plums, before juicing or you could dull the blades in your juicer. Apple seeds contain cyanide, so it's best not to eat those, either. Citrus seeds can be bitter and large enough to cause damage to your machine, so pick them out, too! Start juicing! People begin juicing - adding freshly juiced fruits and vegetables to their diet - for a vast range of reasons. Some people juice to supplement their diet or detoxify their bodies. Some people are doing it for other health reasons. Juicing in and of cerebrozen review will not cure ailments - yet you will benefit from juicing - with extra nutrients and more energy! It's important to juice wheatgrass as our bodies can't actually process the plant fibers contained in it. I like to include wheatgrass in my apple/ginger/orange juice, but you can come up with a hundred more recipes that make great use of wheatgrass and it's wonderful earthy flavor. Give it a try! When it comes to juicing, one thing that you want to keep in mind is the fact that despite the time and money that you are losing by making your own juice, you will find that it most likely tastes better than store bought juice. This is important to give you a good reason to keep on juicing and influence others to do the same. When juicing for good health, try adding a handful of cranberries to your regular selection to help bladder or urinary tract problems. The minute you feel the infection taking place, start using them. When it comes to juicing, one thing that you want to keep in mind is that there are a lot of choices to consider when it comes to picking your ingredients. Most people are only aware of the most popular fruits and vegetables, but you may find that there are many other ingredients that provide excellent taste and nutrition benefits. Pay attention to your reactions after drinking a new juice. Some fruit juices will not work with your system. If the juice gives you a stomach ache or makes you feel nauseous, study the various ingredients to see if you have incorporated something that you don't normally eat. Then, you will be able to eliminate these products or use small amounts to get your body used to them. When you make a commitment to begin juicing, buy the best juicer you can afford and get started right away. In the beginning, it may feel as if you have taken on a huge daily project. However, by following the simple steps you have learned in this article, juicing can feel less like work and more like fun.

This comprehensive buying guide will walk you through the key factors to keep in mind. Airtightness: An Airtight Seal is a Must 🌿 The number one job of any food storage container is preserving freshness by preventing air and moisture from getting in. You want canisters with lids that seal completely air tight. - Rubber gaskets around the lid create a tight vacuum seal when closed - Locking mechanisms like clamps or clips compress the lid down extra tight - For staples like flour, coffee, and sugar, go with airtight models to maximize shelf life - Allowing air to escape compromises freshness and flavor Level of Air Tightness Storage Items Completely Airtight Flour, coffee, sugar, other grains Mostly Airtight Pasta, coffee beans, dried fruit Somewhat Airtight Packaged snacks, baking needs Visibility: To See or Not to See🧙‍♂️ There's something so satisfying about a clear display of neatly lined up ingredients...but complete visibility isn't always necessary: - Glass or plastic models allow you to view contents - Stainless steel often has small viewing windows - Opaque ceramic, tin, or stainless steel still stores food well! - Consider if you will display the canister or keep it in your pantry Determine what's more important - enjoying the view or retaining maximum freshness. Durability: Long-Lasting 💪 The longevity of your containers comes down to investing in durable designs: - Glass - Risk of cracking or breaking over time - Stainless steel - Withstands frequent use without dents or corrosion - Ceramic - Chips and cracks unlikely but not unheard of - High quality materials that don't fade or degrade Consider the placement in your kitchen, the use frequency, the types of food being stored inside and choose durable canisters suited for your habits! Material: The Beauty Contest 🏆 Beyond functionality, storage canisters are available in stunning styles to coordinate with your kitchen's aesthetic: - Glass - Sophisticated transparency shows off contents - Stainless steel - Sleek, modern, polished or brushed look - Ceramic - Vibrant, colorful glazes and painted designs - Tin - Retro charm reminiscent of old-school general stores You'll find brilliant colors, gorgeous patterns like florals, warm wooden lids, charming distressed finishes, and more! Determine the look you love before choosing models that reflect your taste and kitchen style. Size/Shape: A Canister for Every Culinary Creation 🍲 Consider the bulk ingredients, snacks, and food items you want contained before deciding on dimensions: - Individual canisters or full sets - Capacities ranging from less than 1 cup to over 5 cups - Measure dimensions of your cupboards and pantry shelves - Uniform sizing for organized rows or a mix of heights Coffee beans, large bags of flour and sugar, giant boxes of oats - assess your quantity needs so your containers can house everything with room to spare! Old Dutch Ripples All Dressed Potato Chips Review
Tumblr media
Happened upon these chips at Cub recently, and knowing they were a Canadian flavor intrigued me. I'm familiar with the brand, being a Minnesota staple, and the other snack offerings by Old Dutch Foods are classics.
These chips are a perfect blend of thin and crispy, crunchy but not overly so. I think they're similar to Ruffles, but with even thinner ridges, almost like Corduroy fabric. They don't tend to break as much in the bag, and a full chip can be easily put in the mouth and crunched without breaking on their way in. Furthermore, they're not as hard and crunchy as kettle chips (which I do like, but sometimes they are too much). The full size chips are impressively large and feel great in the hand.
The flavor initially is reminiscent of ketchup flavored chips, but there's more going on. Supposedly the mix is supposed to include ketchup, salt and vinegar, sour cream and onion, and bbq flavors. Definitely a ketchup-forward flavor, and there is a garlic / onion flavor present, but hard to pick it out without knowing to look for it. It can easily be explained by the ketchup flavor. There is some sourness too but not not to the degree of a salt and vinegar chip. BBQ too is hard to find, but there are what I would call "miscellaneous spices" but really nothing I would point to and say "that's BBQ!". I could be convinced that there was a slight creamy flavor present, but typically I don't notice the sour cream flavor on other sour cream chips, so that could just be me.
I enjoy these chips very much, despite the flavors being somewhat muddled. My only real complaint is that there were a good amount of brown/black potato bits on the edges, which are not a problem for most people, but I tend to pick those bits off and not eat them. I would rate them as ketchup flavor with extra steps, but since I've been hunting for ketchup flavored potato chips for years, there's no complaints here.
9/10 is my overall score. I don't buy potato chips too often unless they're on sale or if I have a hankering, but I'd definitely pick these up again. I hope they become a permanent offering from Old Dutch.
