At the end of FB2 Leta looks at the Scamander brothers and says “I love you”, there’s been a lot of argument about who she was talking to but nobody seems to think it might be both of them. To be honest I have no idea which brother Leta loved platonically and which she loved romantically, that part was super unclear to me. Anyways I would love it if someone could send me some of the arguments about this cause quite honestly I find this aspect of the movie really interesting and frustrating

It had been weeks since he’d begun to visit the her home every afternoon. Prometheus had surprised Nettelia with a bowl full of leeches for her to use, which made her far too excited and the disgusting retrieval very much worth it. They’d started with fixing her roof, but he’d figured she could improve the size of her herbal storage and her table was creaky. Then it was building her a well. Then it was walking the forests near her home for all her herbs and her favorites fruits and vegetables; she’d show him and name each of the animals that they passed. He’d eventually surprised Nettelia by telling her that the specific herbs she sought for could be found in greater quantities elsewhere. And when she’d argued that they were nowhere near where they grew in abundance, he had lifted her up and startled the poor woman by bringing them both there in less than 3 minutes. Everyday Prometheus woke up thinking about her, and every night he fell asleep with her face and her voice in mind. That musical laughter in his memory made the avariel smile to himself at the most inopportune times when he was meant to be listening carefully to the Gods who were making their demands to him.

“It’s called a pegasus,” Prometheus piped up, hoping to startle her just a little bit. He’d been silently standing to one side, leaning up against one of her trees as Nettelia stepped outside her home and was met with surprising creature grazing calmly just a few feet from her door. “Stole it from Epimetheus this morning. Oztalun’s probably currently letting out herds of them, but... I figured you’d want to be one of the first to see one.”

The biggest waste to me about FB3, if we exclude plot-related things, is that for FB1 they went to the trouble of choosing 2 actors who have natural chemistry with Newt’s actor, and 2 women who give off the feeling they are real sisters, so that just by seeing them together on screen you could say “they’re friends/sisters”, but they (practically) don’t interact in SoD.

The way Albus' and Gellert's interactions and their relationship are described in the screenplays of FB2 and FB3:

"DUMBLEDORE is looking at the pictures. These memories are agony. He is full of remorse but, almost worse: nostalgia for the only time in his life he felt fully understood."

LIKE OMG😭 Albus had so many people he was close to in his life. Like his parents and siblings, Newt, Nicholas Flamel and especially Elphias literally his closest friend. But it's GELLERT that was the only person that made Albus feel fully understood. And they only knew each other for like two months too. They must've been so crazy in love. :')

Sadly I don't have the screenplay of FB2 in english. But I also remember that in the scene where Newt gives Albus the blood pact vial back and asks him if he can destroy it, Albus is close to tears. Which wasn't in the movie. 😭

The next one makes me so sad but also so angry, because they changed that scene in the movie:

THEY LITERALLY GENTLY PUT THEIR HANDS ON EACH OTHERS HEARTS. NOT JUST BY ACCIDENT, BUT ON PURPOSE!!😭💔 ALSO GELLERT BEING HEARTBROKEN...I CAN'T 😭

The next ones don't even need explaining. They speak for themselves. :')

Yes, the movie was based on a book written by Eduard Volodarsky and Nikita Mikhalkov. Several parts of the original plot changed in the movie adaptation but the main story line is still the same. If you watched the movie from mosfilm youtube, here's some example:

Lemke's name is transliterated as Lemke (Лемке) instead of Lehmke

Station master Vanyukin (Ванюкин) instead of Stinkin. Clever word play actually: Stinkin -> Stinky -- Vanyukin -> Vonyuchiy (вонючий, smelly)

Young Kazakh Kadyrkul (Кадыркул) instead of the bandit Kayum

Shilov is using his cossack background to infiltrate Brylov's gang instead of his chekist affiliation

Bits about Shilov and Lemke's tragic backstory revealed in the book

etc etc

But first just a head up: one of the movie directors (who also play the adjutant/yesaul Brylov) Nikita Mikhalkov, is supporting Putin's side on Russia invasion of Ukraine [x]. I think it's important to address this if you want to be critical about his works. Volodarsky on the other hand, already dead in 2012.
