It was a busy and productive day at Grim Groceries.
A lot of the customers spotted Althea and Thomas and made beelines for them both, to congratulate them on their marriage and to hope their honeymoon went well.
Tumblr media
As well as promoting Emmy to a manager, Thomas had also hired two new employees who were well trained and were able to get into the grove of business.
Tumblr media
He also made to sure that all the stock was replenished and that there would be regular and accurate deliveries, due on specific days of the week, so that Emmy had all the tools at her disposal to run the store without calling Thomas every five minutes.
Tumblr media
He was pleased with his choice.
Cheryl had already informed him a few weeks ago that she would be leaving and the dispute between her and Emmy seemed to be resolved itself, and the two women got on very well nowadays.

News on “Call Me Dad” (via Vi Elsker Serier — translated):
Tumblr media
The attentive reader will know that already last year we had the comedy series Call Me Dad on the list of series we were looking forward to.
Unfortunately, we have not yet seen the series, but we still allow ourselves to hope that it will see the light of day on Viaplay during 2024 (and the same can be said about the other Danish Viaplay series, Bullshit, which we are also waiting for!).
Call Me Dad was created by the actors Alex Høgh Andersen and Magnus Haugaard, who also play the series' two main roles themselves. The series is about a friendship — a really good one where you have known each other all your life — but with the twist that one friend becomes the romantic partner of the other friend's mother. And what do you do then?
For the conflict-shy Emil (Alex Høgh Andersen), it becomes more than a hypothetical question when he finds out that his best friend, the confident Viktor (Magnus Haugaard), has started dating his mother, Helle (Ellen Hillingsø). From here, everything is turned upside down, and Emil must learn to navigate the new reality, where friendship, as the boys knew it, is seriously put to the test.
The cast also includes Roberta Hilarius Reichhardt, Johanne Milland and Peter Gantzler.
Call Me Dad has not yet been given a premiere date, but the series should land on Viaplay during 2024.

Spring and Visitors!
Well Spring has arrived here in Pullman! Spring Break was from March 9-17. Towards the end of the break the weather got very Spring-like which has been great. The fields around here are getting more green for sure as the winter wheat grows more.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
We even have some little flowers popping up in front of our apartment!
Tumblr media
I was able to finish the little quilting project that I was working on. Here a a couple of pictures of it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During the break we had a lot of work to do at the Institute building. Our director is changing the library space. 2/3rds of the shelves are coming out and in their place will be 2 walls of raised countertop desk space with lots of charging ports so that the students will have a quiet place to study. Most of the books were moved to our director's office, others will be given away -- we also simply got rid of a lot of them because many things are online now. It was quite a job to go through them all and figure out what to do with them all. The tables will still stay. Here are some before pictures.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here are some pictures of us going through the books.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This wall of books is staying as is.
Tumblr media
Here is what it looks like now, waiting for the countertops etc.

On Friday (16) Ellen and new baby Vivian came to visit us! It was so wonderful to meet this new little granddaughter! Thy flew into Lewiston. We went out to eat a couple of times, went to church, drove up to Steptoe Butte, and just visited and rested together. Such a treat.
This is a picture of Ellen and Vivy coming out of the airplane door.

This little yellow dress has a story. Right before coming on the mission I cleaned out all of my sewing patterns and while doing so I found this little dress that my mother had cut out years ago to make for a granddaughter and had never sewn. I sewed it up as a surprise Christmas gift for Ellen and it fits Vivy now!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After Ellen left we went back to our regular schedule. On Friday evening we had a treat. My cousin MaryLee Winzenried and her husband Greg were in town from Nevada to visit their son Eric and his wife Lauren. We all went out to dinner and had a very nice time. Eric and Lauren are here in Pullman studying and working.
On Saturday (23) we had a very full day. We drove to Spokane early in the morning and attended the temple. Then we went to the Spokane Stake Center to have a special meeting with the entire mission. Elder Neal Andersen spoke to us! We were all waiting in the cultural hall for him to arrive and take a picture with the entire group. It was taking awhile for him to come in ---we stood and sang for 40 minutes!!! But it was worth it. I'll post the picture when it becomes available for sure. To be with all those sisters and elders was AWESOME. We are so impressed with them all. They have the Spirit of the Lord with them, and they work so hard. We found out from Elder Andersen that our mission is the second highest baptizing mission on our area!
It was so very inspiring to have Elder Andersen address us in the chapel. He told us that we need to concentrate on 3 things.
Growing Faith
Working Diligently
Having Patience
Elder Andersen said that President Nelson and the 12 are very grateful for the missionaries and all they are doing. He said that if it weren't for them, the apostles could not fulfill the assignment they have been given to build up the kingdom sufficiently before the Savior comes again.
He also asked us all to memorize 5 scriptures from the New Testament, and 5 from the Book of Mormon. He said to choose scriptures that have deep meaning for us personally. That way when we feel inspired to share with someone, we will be ready. Shirl and I are working on choosing which scriptures to memorize.
HIs wife also spoke. She was very sweet. That day was the 50th anniversary of their first date. They were both pretty excited about it. She said that we need to prepare ourselves to hear the word of the Lord and He will teach us. She bore a firm witness that her husband is an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We also heard from General Authority seventy Elder Ojediran. He told the missionaries:
We Love you
We Thank you
We Need you
He emphasized Preach My Gospel and how it can be used to help people make a connection with the Lord. He said that studying the Book of Mormon will help our faith in Jesus Christ grow.
Tumblr media
This is a picture of our entire mission with Elder Anderson. We are on the far left standing in the front.
Our Mission Leaders, President and Sister LaBaron also bore their testimonies. We are very impressed with them and their ability to lead the mission. They will be leaving in July. Our new leaders will be President and Sister Kerr. It's kind of funny that he and President LaBaron both served young missions in the Netherlands, just like Shirl!
Tumblr media
That night we came back to Pullman and attended the baptism for two new YSA members! Gleidy Puentes and Ryan Wildblood.
Gleidy is in the center.
Ryan is on the left.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
The young missionaries recently had transfers. It was sad to see a few of them go. Here is a picture before they left.
Tumblr media
Holy Week has started. I'll tell more about that on the next post, but here is a little taste.

What would you do if your best friend started dating your mother? Viaplay's new original series 'Call Me Dad' is now filming
Tumblr media
New Viaplay Original is an awkward affair that goes straight to the heart. 'Kald mig far' is a comedy series starring Alex Høgh Andersen, Magnus Haugaard and Ellen Hillingsø. The series is produced by Nordisk Film Series for Viaplay. 'Kald mig far' is expected to premiere in 2023.
Imagine a really good friendship. The kind where you've known each other your whole lives. You do everything together, and you're just about to launch a sustainable catering company that makes you business partners on top of it. Everything is just as it should be. Now imagine your friend hooking up with your mom. What would you do?
For conflict-averse Emil, it becomes more than a hypothetical question when he finds out that his best friend, confident Viktor, has started dating his mother, Helle. From there, things turn upside down as Emil learns to navigate the new reality, and where the friendship as the boys knew it is put to the test. Emil is played by Alex Høgh Andersen (Vikings, The Viking, The Shadow in My Eye), while the role of the outgoing and confident Viktor is played by Magnus Haugaard (Guilt, Love You for the Time, Centrum). The role of Helle is played by Ellen Hillingsø (Hvidstengruppen II, Advokaten, Dopamin).
Actors Alex Høgh Andersen and Magnus Haugaard are best friends in real life. They are the ones who first came up with the idea for 'Call Me Dad,' and they are now looking forward to redeeming it together.
- The development of the project has been a fun, educational and overwhelming process that has only given us more blood in our veins. I think most actors have a dream of launching their own original idea, and for that to happen now feels sincerely unreal. And to be able to do a project like this with my very best friend is a huge joy. I'm really looking forward to it," says Alex Høgh Andersen.
The actors have been working on the idea for 'Call Me Dad' for some time, and expectations are high.
- It's through my and Alex's love for each other that the idea for the project was born - and we try to bring that feeling throughout. It hasn't been a challenge at all, though, as we're part of a team where the chemistry is just really good and there's a general agreement about the direction we want to go. Christian Dyekjær, Søren Felbo and the rest of the team are the right people to take 'Call me Dad' to new heights, says Magnus Haugaard.
'Call me Dad' is directed by Christian Dyekjær, who is behind the series Guru and the feature film Fantasten. The script is by Søren Felbo (Sunday, Orkestret, Viaplay Original Series Friheden).
- My vision is to create a modern comedy series that exudes visual and narrative excess. A series that will both entertain and at the same time be about something as essential as how we treat each other and our shared planet in 2022. It is the greatest pleasure to work with two of the greatest acting talents of their generation. All in all, Viaplay's viewers can look forward to seeing a modern comedy series with an exceptionally strong cast down to the smallest supporting role, says director Christian Dyekjær.
In addition to the main cast, you can look forward to seeing names such as Roberta Reichhardt, Johanne Milland, Søren Sætter-Lassen, Peter Gantzler, Lone Rødbroe, Bjarne Henriksen, Lila Nobel, Oscar Dyekjær Giese and Tommy Kenter.
- When Alex Høgh Andersen and Magnus Haugaard first presented their idea for 'Call Me Dad,' we could immediately see that this was a unique opportunity for a unique series and it has been a pleasure to see their great talent, commitment and humour permeate the production of the series and watch them unfold this funny and absurd story together with an ensemble of some of Denmark's most talented actors. Together with the experienced team behind it, they have created a unique series and we are very excited to introduce Viaplay viewers to this comedy developed by two of Denmark's greatest acting talents. Viaplay has announced more than 30 Originals in recent years and our ambition is to deliver many more in the future. We hope for a continued healthy investment environment and fair playing field, which will create the best conditions for the production of Danish content, says Marlene Billie Andreasen, Head of Scripted Content, Denmark at Viaplay Group.
‘Kald mig far' is a Viaplay Original, and the series will be released in six episodes of approximately 25 minutes. 'Kald mig far' is produced by Nordisk Film Series for Viaplay by producers Trin Hjortkjær Thomsen and Laura Frederikke Kragholm. Executive Producer at Viaplay is Dorte Fuglsang. 'Call Me Dad' is expected to premiere in 2023.
Viaplay Group (publ) is the international streaming challenger. Our streaming service Viaplay is available in all Nordic and Baltic countries, Poland, the USA and the Netherlands. We are expanding rapidly and Viaplay will launch in the UK in 2022 followed by Canada, Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 2023. Viaplay will have a market presence in at least 21 countries by the end of 2023, including at least five partner markets for the Viaplay Select branded content concept.
Every day, we entertain millions of customers with our unique entertainment offering that includes acclaimed Viaplay Originals and a premium selection of live sports. From streaming to TV channels, radio stations and production companies, our purpose is to tell stories, touch people and broaden perspectives. Viaplay Group is listed on Nasdaq in Stockholm ('VPLAY B')

“The Exorcist” remake is coming in October 2023. Actually being billed as a sequel. Not sure how I feel about this. I’d really l’d really like to know what Friedkin thinks about it. William Peter Blatty passed away in 2017. The original “Exorcist” IMHO is still the scariest movie ever made. Ellen Burstyn will be back. Andersen’s still makes pea soup.

“I’m glad it’s just one baby in there” Ellen said and the relief was evident on her face. “I’m excited to become a mother but so daunted by the task as well!”
Tumblr media
“You’ll be brilliant, Ellen” Helen said with a confident smile. “My mother had four of us, albeit all separately, but we were all quite close to each other in age. I overheard my parents saying they wished they’d had more of a gap between my eldest and second-eldest sister.”
Ellen sighed with more relief “Glad I’m not worrying over nothing then.”
“Still having the wedding afterwards?”
“I dunno” Ellen shrugged. “Jasper would probably want to get married before but he’s content with whatever I want to do.”
“What do you want?”
Ellen paused “Honestly? I want to hit the pause button and take time to breathe. But life’s not going to do that to me.”
Helen squeezed her arm reassuringly. “One step at a time, Ellen.”
Tumblr media
Meanwhile Luke and Becky’s debate had escalated to a pillow fight.
Emmy rolled her eyes as she sat down with her coffee. Where they heck did they get pillows from in a park?!
Tumblr media
Luke couldn't stop laughing “Becky, this has got out of hand!”
Becky snorted “That’s what a loser would say!”

WHY? P3
15. Mirror - My big vanity mirror was given to me by my parents for my birthday which I was so grateful for, I used to use a cheap one on the inside of an eyeshadow palette, so the upgraded was super needed and it has been well loved, it was also super meaningful that my parents got it for me as it felt like they really loved and appreciated my art form and what I do, I use it pretty much everyday and is a needed part of most of my art practises. 16. My Ariel doll - I have quite the collection of Ariel dolls now, but one of my favourites is the one that my friend also has - Shes the one from the newest movie and as one of my main compositions and subject matters when it comes to drawing and painting is mermaids, I like how she consistently provides inspiration and also memorabilia of when me and my friend went to see the film in cinema and went to the Disney premiere. 17. Crystals - Crystals are one of the main ways I have decorated the space in my room, they feel very peaceful and spiritual to me and also remind me of my mum who has gifted me lots of hers, arranging them all in my room is super important to me and I love how they fill my space. 18. Design and illustration books - Some of my favourite illustration and graphic design books really help fuel my creativity and give me the drive with my studies and outside of uni design commissions and work, I love Ellen Luptons books on type - I've learnt alot from those as typography was something I really struggled with but found alot of enjoyment in, I feel like I can always resort back to these when im stuck or need some motivation with type, I also have a few illustrative books that show the beautiful illustrations of Hans Christen Andersen's The Little Mermaid, its a great read to shut your mind off too and is just visually so stunning to look at. 19. Easel - I was gifted a large antique easel by a customer from work at Gordon Harris - it was such an honour to get given something that was once so sentimental to someone, it belonged to her father who was a Walt Disney animator, so it feels really special to own this now, its made of real oak and needs to get oiled and cleaned every few months, it takes up alot of space and is such a privilege to own. 20. Cards - I keep all the cards I get given by friends and whanau and one that I have on my desk next to my vanity is one that was given to me by one of my friends who lives in Nashville, I often think about how cool it is to be able to have items from all across the world that contribute to one larger creative space, that remind me of people in my life that are important who help me get by each and every single day, not only in the creative field are they inspiring but in everyday life I feel loved and cherished by them.

⭐ Thor Odinson (MCU) + Ellen Ripley (Alien): I just think this would be such a fun crossover! I'm picturing post-Ragnarok (maybe post-Thanos) Thor with all the #trauma and Ripley hunting Xenomorphs together. He's finally got an alien problem he can do something about. *cracks knuckles*
⭐ Andy Barber (Defending Jacob) + Isabella Meyers (OC): Former district attorney meeting his replacement? Or maybe just a fresh start and new lawyer friends after the events of the show, but he could be a threat to her professional reputation. I've never written him in a paranormal verse, but that could be interesting too!
⭐ Grant Andersen (OC) + Alba Reyes (OC): Aside from the fact that they have cute photo ops together (and I'm a sucker for photo resources), tell me these two aren't a set up for the fluffiest coffee shop AU. He's totally that sweet idiot who would come to her cafe every day just to see her.
