Drabble: The Starboy's Kindness

"Kikimora, I want you to capture The Collector. You better don't return empty handed!" Emporer Belos said dangerously calm. "Yes, my Lord!" The demon girl was clearly nervous as Belos was glaring at her. She immediately left the Castle.

Unfortunately, Kikimora felt feverish and crashed to the ground with Princess, her dragon. Belos' right hand woman fell unconscious. What she didn't know yet was, that a certain celestial boy with otherworldly fluffy lavender hair found her.

"Kikimora, are you ok?" Colli asked, clearly concerned. He didn't hesitate to use his magic to heal her. Even though Kikimora was the enemy, the starboy with a heart of gold didn't wish any harm upon her.

Kikimora woke up. "Collector? Why did you help me?" She asked. "As you know, my name is Colli, and I helped you because you clearly didn't feel good." Colli explained with a sweet smile on his adorable multi-colored face.

Kikimora noticed that Princess was very cuddly with Colli. "I will spare you this time. But when I see you next time, I'm going to capture you!" With this words, the demon girl took her dragon and returned to the Castle.

Really meant to post these a while ago, but here.

So, in the magic world, there is a school called Toadsview academy of learning and magic. In addition to being a maddle school, they also have magic classes. The schools founder believed that anyone can learn magic and so many years ago, opened up Toadsview to give any magical beibg the same opportunities to learn magic as anyone else, a first of it's kind at the time.

Since then, all schools across the realms have opened themselves up to anyone, and magic is more accessible than ever.

These are some of the Mages and Warlocks that teach at Toadsview, along side Thaddeus Glyphgold. Sadly i haven't got a lot to say about them. I was gonna give tidbits on what species they where but i ran out of characters so instead I'll just give theur full names for now...?

hey here's another Hunting Palismen re-watch thought

i didn't spot this on first viewing bcos it goes by really quick and (like most people) i was paying attention to Luz at this point, but Hunter knocks Kikimora out & wins the fight with this move

aside from the fact that she is y'know flat on the ground, he removes his mask and takes his eyes fully off her to watch Luz fly away, which I don't think he would have done unless he was certain Kiki was out for the count

its not like he can't catch up to the Hand Dragon (see: the infamous Separate Tides exit) so i think it's fair to say he could keep going after the palismen if he wanted to. he just didn't. :)

In addition to copying Belos‘ tactics, I also find it interesting how Kikimora uses the sleeping nettles that Luz once weaponized against her. There’s of course the obvious karmic revenge, but as Luz outright says, Kikimora has no ideas of her own and is copying others’, hitching a ride on the coat tails of stronger people she latches onto. Most of her danger this episode comes not from Kiki’s own magic, but from Roka, who was built by Alador and given to her by Odalia!!! I think that’s just an interesting detail, that Kikimora has little strength of her own and is always hiding behind and using others to get by, such as her dragon Princess, Belos, and now Boscha.

Also it’s kinda freaky that Kikimora plans to rule for generations... Like yeah this is clearly not a very impressive stint as it is, but she does plan to expand from here and basically fill in the isles in the absence of others. Again, using a larger ‘threat’ (the Collector) as an enemy to justify control, militarization, that sort of thing.

And there’s something very messed up about that, that Kikimora is trying to raise society under her thumb as part of this reset, and is grooming Boscha to be her puppet emperor, as a twisted reversal of her and Belos’ dynamic that probably gives her both frustration but also vengeful catharsis. Kiki is basically planning to become a divine matriarch of sorts, working from a small group of survivors and assimilating others to rebuild the same isles and same empire but under her control.

And she’s controlling it since childhood, so it remind me of how Belos makes the Grimwalkers young so he can insert himself as a formative influence, compared to the rest of the isles where many were adults who were skeptical; So Kikimora copies his cues with the Grimwalkers and avoids the skeptical adults by targeting the vulnerable and susceptible children, who are the only ones left thanks to the Collector! Again, a common threat she can use.

Kiki isn’t just grooming Boscha, she plans to groom the entire population as it starts back from scratch, and posing herself as one of them as she does so, which is all sorts of messed up. No wonder she doesn’t want the adults freed with the Collector’s defeat! Kikimora sees the adults as basically competitors so by keeping them out of the equation, she wins by default! And that’s a lot of pressure for Boscha, already struggling to lead a school and knowing she’s gonna eventually step up in charge of all survivors and their future generations. Damn this episode really explored the best and worst of what adults can offer to kids...

So with the owl house ending I thought I should admit something on tumblr, the fact that kikimora is unironically one of my favourite characters in the show.

She’s such a pathetic angry gremlin women that does in order:

•Becomes basically the secretary to the emperor of her whole world.

•Starts beef with a literal 16 year old child despite being a grown ass women because she thinks said child is getting better treatment from the emperor than her (he’s not).

•Attempts to murder said child on multiple occasions including using a fucking dragon.

•becomes ultra paranoid of literally fucking everything because she thinks the child is trying to steal her position (he’s not).

•upon failing all her missions due to her aforementioned Child obsession gets demoted and then balls her eyes out while she gets comforted by a different 14 year old child who try’s to redeem her and kiki then basically temporarily joins the resistance against her former boss but then immediately does an Italy and switches sides again because boomer poison ivy told her she was getting a promotion (the promotion is not dying).

•Becomes depressed and a caffeine addict.

•Depression cured as she is given a mech suit by the parenting antichrist immediately turns back to her favourite pastime attempting to murder children.

•kidnaps who she thinks is the 16 year old she’s been trying to murder but is actually the 14 year old who tried to redeem her but before she finds out her boss tells her to kill herself now.

•In the pit of corpses of clones of the 16 year old she’s been trying to murder unknowingly tells the god that her boss has been pretending to be able to understand that her boss threw the walkie talky he uses to communicate with a different elder god into said corpse pit.

•Said elder god is unleashed starting the literal apocalypse meaning she is partially responsible.

Season 3 for the future spoilers in the next bits so if you haven’t watched it yet stop reading now:

•While the literal apocalypse is going on she dresses herself and her mech suit like children and sneaks into a school (SERIOUSLY WHY THE FUCK DOES EVERYTHING SHE DO INVOLVE CHILDREN SHE IS AN ADULT) and convinces angry lesbian school bully whose crush ran away with a girl from another dimension to help her rule the school so they can start their new empire( this plan somehow works for months) then the main characters come back and she decides the best course of action is too drug them and throw them in the ultragore nest.

•She then try’s to murder the SAME children with the SAME mech suit however is stopped by the only thing that she’s never faced before, a person over the age of 18 also known as gods gift to parenting who critical bonks her on the head by throwing a baseball bat at her and mispronouncing her name.

•The last we see of her in the episode is she is attacked by a horde of angry kids including the angry lesbian she coerced into helping her and if that’s how kikicumfuckororororora dies it would be a fitting end.

And that’s the end of my summary while everyone else is obsessing and overanalysing Luz,hunter,amity,Eda or belos you know actually good characters here I am obsessed with the 4ft tall pathetic sad child endangering gremlin who is unintentionally one of the funniest written villains in any peace of media I’ve ever seen I fucking love this character so much yes I know I’m probably the only one who thinks this shut up I’ve written way too much and should just stop now.

Kiki: Why do I hear boss music?

They go from "eh, she sucks, but I suppose it's fine if she gets away with communitary service" to "I'll make it look like an accident" 😭

Eber might have to stop Darius from going to commit murder right there and then, because he's very protective and also prone to emotional reactions in the moment, and while Eber very much also wants to have a chat with Kikimora, they can't just go and be rash about it.

Unfortunately, they can't go and murder her, probably, but oh, someone definitely is getting the fear of the Titan put into her via a pair of very protective parents who are going to show themselves as even more intimidating and frightening than when they scared off the other Coven Heads.

Kikimora is gonna know that one (1) bad look in Hunter's direction and she's toast. Better if she doesn't get anywhere near him, in fact.

So, I appear with Madou findings I forgot to give. And Yokai Watch updates.

I was supposed to show this in my last post but forgot to make a section for it, so I'm deciding to do it here, alongside other stuff.

Check it, a popularity poll around the time Saturn released. (The Schezo and Witch artwork.)

It's quite literally a popularity poll. There's the usual, Arle and Schezo being top 2, Witch and Draco in top 5, Satan being 6th, that nonsense. However, as we go down the list gets more interesting. Notably, Kikimora ranked 10 over Lagnus, who ranked 11th.

A few more notable placement is Momomo outplacing Suke (15th to 19th), Skeleton-T being 14th, and 20th being Honey Bee.

Waku Puyo Stuff:

So, a pal (@kirstenonic05 ) and I decided to go through some old Waku Waku Puyo Puyo Dungeon manuals we found online, and honestly? Yielded interesting results.

Waku Puyo Translations takes a super long time. Believe me, I'm working on them.

But with that, here's some of what we found.

Quick Yokai Stuff:

A while back, I posted the 3D models of the Yokai Watch collab finally being unearthed, so I decided to just quickly find some neat looking stuff.

First thing I wanna say about it: Arle is legit part of the metagame. She's unironically amazing.

Second, just some promotional artwork I found of the game. I couldn't find more stuff for Witch for some... unexplainable reason.
