♚— Ok, because this keeps happening, I’m going to make a Breaking News announcement. No one seems to be reading my threads, hints, or pages, so I’m going to be blunt about it.

I’ve already updated my rules and data page.

My version and portrayal of Aspros is homosexual. He’s gay. He likes men.

He’s closeted due to the time period (in the 1700s, gays were lawfully murdered), but he’s not interested in women. 

Rant:

When I solidified this headcanon a year ago, I thought it would have been too cruel to exclude female muses from trying their shot at him. especially since shipping is 90% of the reason why people write threads. Due to the social pressure of the 1700s, he would have given women a chance. He would sleep with women and date women, since he has to give the impression that he’s ‘normal’. I would have loved to have threads where he was seeing a woman, but he would go behind her back to satisfy his real desires. That’s why I kept the door for shipping with female muses open. I wanted interesting dynamics, and I wanted to keep my availability for roleplaying open.

However, after getting a few repeating questions, I realized that I am not comfortable pairing him up with ladies. It always made me feel icky and gross and disrespected. Especially if muns of female muses are only going after the smut or ship-only threads.

On the other side, many questions got me fearful that no one wants to actually plot with me and they are just trying to find an ‘opinion’ of what they could do to pair Aspros up in their own personal projects. And even that makes me feel icky. Giving an opinion of what kind of women Aspros likes goes against a very fundamental headcanon that helps me build Aspros’ character, and I cannot entertain the thought of him being straight.

So, I’ve decided to come out with it and say that my version of Aspros is homosexual, and I’m going to exclusively ship him with male muses.

Female muses are still free to try their shot with Aspros, and they may end up sleeping with him as a one-night-stand. With that said, I’m not ever going to make their relationship official, especially when I know that Aspros isn’t going to fall in love with her or find her attractive.

Please respect this, and do not metagame. Between muns, we can acknowledge his homosexuality, but, unless my muse has told or given hints of his homosexuality to your muse, your muse should not know he’s gay. If muns are interested in plotting a thread with certain dynamics, please talk to me first before initiating the thread. My DMs are open.

On the other side, Defteros is interested in women and men. So, while Aspros is no longer going to be open to ship with female muses, muns of female muses can attempt to ship with Defteros.

HOW TO NOT BE AN ASSHOLE IN ROLEPLAY BLOGS: A KINDA IN-CHARACTER GUIDE BY TWO FICTIONALISED DEAD FRENCHMEN AND THEIR ROLEPLAYER

Ahem!

This is an official communiqué from the Marshal Dukes of Montebello and Dalmatia!

We have the greatest faith in the conduct of those marching in our Grande Armeé and those that we associate with BUT this bulletin has been written wit hthe express objective of instructing you fine folk on PROPER ETIQUETTE in the context of "internet roleplaying!"

We welcome any corrections, comments or suggestions in either of our respective inboxes, or in the inbox of our roleplayer, @cadmusfly. We also do not intend for this curricular to be construed as blaming anyone, while it is written in reaction to certain events and conversations that have occurred. We understand that some recent conscripts and recruits do not have the context and understanding of "roleplaying" that others may have, and we do not wish to cast judgement on people who do not know.

This is an instructional guide on certain concepts that are useful to be aware of when roleplaying, as well as an imperative on the golden rule: Do Not Be A Fucking Asshole!

On The Matter of Basic Courtesy

First of all, while this is a mature roleplay scene that addresses topics such as violence, sexuality and so forth, we are asking you to PLEASE observe common courtesy!

Certain topics should not be approached lightly, especially as an anonymous ask or message! These include but are not limited to: non-humourous insults and harassment, suicide baiting/suicide encouragement, heavily sexual and/or non-con content, non-exaggerated detailed threats of violence and other things that, if sent to a non-roleplaying blog, would be considered to be abusive and rude!

By default, assume that most people do not want to receive those things! Those blogs that are okay with answering such asks should tag posts that clearly fall under one of those topics under an easily blacklisted tag such as “harassment” or “tw harassment” and the specific topic, so that others who don’t want to see that can filter that out.

If a roleplay involves such topics or involves topics such as detailed sexual content, be considerate and put that under a cut!

This is also a reminder that you are not required to answer every ask or message that you receive! You are not required to have your inbox open or to have it open to anonymous messages and you may close or open your inbox as you wish! You may delete messages at your will. -

Second, we will advise you to keep in mind the maxim that Real Life Comes First. We are not expecting you to dedicate all your time and energy to this roleplay and roleplay interactions. While it is pleasant to receive swift timely responses, we recognise that this is not often feasible. We therefore ask that you attend to your own needs before dedicating time to fiction.

This is an activity for entertainment, and it should remain entertaining.

However, it is polite that if you are engaged in an ongoing involved roleplay activity or interaction that is dependent on your interactions, that you update the other people involved in this activity if you foresee that you are unable to respond for an abnormally long period of time. An example of an ongoing involved roleplay that is dependent on common updates is the current incident with Murat and Bessieres nicknamed “Phantoms of the Opera”.

If you are also involved in such a thing and find yourself not responding for weeks or months, it is better to apologise and communicate rather than to expect yourself to one day pick it up again. This may sound ridiculous, but our roleplayer was involved in a Tumblr roleplay scene dedicated to lengthy third person prose roleplays, where the common length of response was a few hundred words per response. The roleplayer was committed to multiple of these roleplays at once, which proved to be a far too involved activity that had unfortunate repercussions.

Our particular roleplaying world is far more casual and far less involved than that, and not even “Phantoms of the Opera” is as involved or as time-consuming as those threads. But we bring up that past history to illustrate that communication is important, and roleplay should never feel like an obligation. -

Third, we are well aware that there are different roleplaying styles, different levels of proficiency with language, different levels of knowledge on the historical subject  and different viewpoints. We are grateful to see that nobody has been rude about this. But! We think it is worth asking people to be understanding about this matter! Be gracious and do not be an asshole, or we will have words!

In fact, if you and someone else's roleplaying styles clash or you're not having fun, you're allowed to not interact with them but be a goddamn adult about it!

Now, let us move on to some roleplaying concepts that it is prudent and useful to know.

On The Difference Between In Character And Out of Character

That being said, we will emphasize a few things such as In Character and Out of Character separation! In Character means actions and words that are taken by the character, while Out of Character means anything else that is not in the context of the roleplay!

(( For example, Out of Character stuff during a roleplay is usually denoted by two parenthesis, like this! This is me, Cadmus, speaking out of character - I've indented this to make this stand out from Lannes. Other OOC stuff includes, well, anything I say on my main blog or discord or whatever. OOC communication that relates to a roleplay often involves talking about things like planning plots, chatting about characters, etc! ))

It has surely not escaped your attention that this communique is written In Character, as an imagined collaboration between heavily fictionalised parodic depictions of Marshals Soult and Lannes. However, this bulletin is curious in that it depicts us as being aware of meta elements such as this roleplay. This is not intended to be part of either of the assumed narratives that is present on our "blogs", and is thus why this is labelled as "kinda in-character".

We are also aware that some people are playing themselves or fictionalised versions of themselves. There is nothing wrong with that, and it is gratifying to see that there is more acceptance for this than there historically was. But if you are roleplaying a fictionalised version of yourself, do be mindful of keeping IC and OOC separate.

Yes! It is important to make sure that In Character and Out of Character actions and emotions are separated! Two characters may have an argument that escalates into violence, but the roleplayers behind the characters should not feel ill will towards each other. That said!

On the Subject of Emotional “Character Bleed”

Emotions can run high, we know, and we are not saying that you cannot be affected by roleplay! There is a concept called Character Bleed where a roleplayer and a character can be influenced by each other’s actions; a character who is very angry at someone making their roleplayer feeling a bit irritated at the other character. Bleed is not inherently positive or negative - getting a sense of catharsis from good roleplay is considered to be bleed! 

This is an informative article on the idea of Character Bleed in the context of Live Action Roleplaying. We personally advise you to be aware of the concept of bleed and to be mindful of how you’re feeling. In the case that the roleplay is feeling far too intense or upsetting, we recommend talking to your roleplay partners about what is going on and/or stepping away from the roleplay and computer.

On “Metagaming” or the Subject of Abusing OOC Knowledge

We also will advise that it can be awkward if Out of Character knowledge is used to make In Character decisions in a way that confers undue benefits to the character! For example, if two characters are having a private conversation about one of them having an allergy to bread, and then another character later weaponises bread because they magically know about that weakness, that is rude of the roleplayer to have their character magically know what is private information!

(( This is known as "metagaming", when out of character knowledge is used to make in character decisions. A lot of people don't like metagaming! However, I'm actually of a slightly different opinion: metagaming can be fun if used correctly - that is, to complicate your characters' lives or create opportunities - but it has to be believable. For example, Soult showing up on Lannes' blog for coincidentally funny interactions is arguably a form of metagaming. I also enjoy having my characters make stupid decisions based on in-character reasoning, while I know or suspect that those decisions will lead to entertaining results based on my OOC knowledge! ))

We recognise that due to the fast and casual nature of this roleplay, ideas of what is private and what is not may not be understood in the same way by all people! When the Duke of Montebello is answering “asks” on a “blog”, sometimes it’s implied to be via a computer somehow set up in the afterlife, sometimes it’s implied to be via handwritten letters in some kind of bulletin, and sometimes it’s an in-person communication, or maybe it’s somehow all of those at once. This is a rather confusing state of affairs!

But generally, if two characters are sending private letters to each other or have marked something as private, that information is private.

Arguably, matters of historical fact may or may not be metagaming here. We do not wish to come to an actual judgement on this,  though we are leaning towards no as l’Art de Google (as invented by Jomini) is accessible to everyone for the most part. Our roleplayer prefers to play his characters as being ill-informed on matters past their deaths, but others do choose to play their characters differently in this regard!

On “Godmodding” or the Subject of Writing Other People’s Characters For Them

There is another concept called "godmodding" which is when one roleplayer narrates or specifies another roleplayer's character's actions or reactions. This is usually seen as rude, but is sometimes hard to work around with certain interactions such as fighting.

This is where communicating with the other roleplayer about intentions and getting permission to narrate what the other character is doing is a polite thing to do, or else deciding together on what the end result of the interaction is in advance. Otherwise, you can describe your character making an attempt at an action that impacts another character, but leaves the other character free to react.

Example! I punch Soult in his face! But I'm not going to be rude and say that my fist automatically connects with his face!

And I will reel back most ungracefully, my hand grasping at my face. It is also a little impolite to always dodge attacks and to always have the upper hand, so we do suggest occasionally letting your characters face some failures. To interact with someone who never loses is rather irritating.

If it makes sense for your character to know something about the other player’s character based on magical and supernatural abilities, we highly advise contacting the other player and asking if your character can have that information. If they say no, respect that answer!

On “Powerplaying” or the Subject of Winning All The Time

Related to the above two subjects is the topic of “Powerplaying”, also colloquially described as the “Ass-Pull”. Simply, this is when a character happens to have always have an “overpowered” advantage for any situation that is not established or grounded in previous facts established about the character. 

For example, we can consider an example where a group of intrepid adventurers have been captured and locked up, and then one of them says that they secretly learned since they were age five how to explode locks with their minds! If this character was established as having a predilection for lock exploding or psychic powers, this would be more excusable, but it frankly comes across as ridiculous and as a game of one-manupship if done repeatedly.

In this casual humorous roleplay world set in an ill defined afterlife, we do have a certain amount of leeway in having interesting characteristics! Certainly, the phenomenon of “Magic Anons” where magical effects are unleashed upon people is a source of entertaining and interesting consequences, and we do not begrudge playing around and exploring this and other interesting ideas!

We merely ask that you do not view the goal of a roleplaying interaction as “winning”. There are multiple ways to “win”, and ultimately the goal here should be thought of as entertainment!

All things in moderation.

On Joining Existing Ongoing Conversations And Interactions

Again, we will reiterate that some conversations may be private or in between a few people only. For example, again, the ongoing “Phantoms of the Opera” is/was open for additional participants, but they were advised to ask the GM (Game Master) - your-dandy-king’s roleplayer - or our roleplayer first.

As a general rule, if you are considering joining in an existing interaction, first we will advise that you judge the tone of the interaction. Most of the interactions are lighthearted and humorous, and such lighthearted humorous interactions are generally assumed to be open for anyone to comment on. However, a serious and heartfelt conversation is most likely not conducive to additional humorous banter. 

Secondly, we’ll say that communication is really useful! So if you really want to join in something and you’re unsure, just ask!

We’ll point out that roleplays that were open to all to join were marked as “Open” roleplays, while roleplays that only involved preset participants were marked as “Closed”. This terminology has not been used in this particular roleplay scene, but it’s a suggestion if you want to be very certain about stating that a particular ongoing interaction is open or not!

On Interacting With Non-Roleplayers

(( This is something that I’m personally not as certain about, because maybe the consensus has changed.. Basically, when I first used to do Tumblr RP in 2013 or 2014, it used to be considered rude for non-roleplayers and roleplayers to interact. It was like the two had their own different worlds. There were posts telling non-roleplayers not to reblog roleplayer threads. Nowadays, I don’t care and you are all free to reblog my roleplay threads onto your non-roleplay blogs if you want, but maybe someone might not want their roleplay threads reblogged and it might be nice to respect that. There was also a consensus about not reblogging non-roleplay posts with roleplay commentary. I’ve seen this happen a few times here and I’ve talked to a few people about it, and I don’t know how I feel about it! I do reblog things in-character occasionally - sheep for Lannes, nice art for Soult, occasionally info about both for both - but I try to make the tags fairly generic. I guess I’m a little paranoid about the idea that someone might be weirded out by historical RPF or roleplay happening on their posts. I won’t be telling people off for this, now that I’m writing this post, and it’s probably okay if the original poster of that post follows you, but be mindful of this. And probably keep it to a comment or two if you do! Don’t do long roleplay threads on non-roleplayers’ posts!))

Metagaming:

Remember, even you have foreknowledge, your muse does not! Don’t bring knowledge they shouldn’t know into threads.

Don’t try to control what my character says and/or does. 

Replies:

The muse can be highly selective depending on mood, so if he is a certain mood, he will reply to what he is feeling. OR WHAT IM FEELING. 

There a select few that will almost always get a response first, don’t take this personally, it’s just how the muse can be! (There is a select few people who are going to take complete importance!)

I am not a fast roleplayer, so I replies may sit in my drafts for days to weeks. But eventually they will be responded to.

If a thread is dropped, I typically won’t say anything especially if I’m not feeling it.

If I haven’t responded in a while, you can remind me once, but don’t spam me with reminders

Multiple threads are completely okay!

Relationships:

I am OKAY with pre-established ships but it has to be plotted out or discussed.

i forgot something that I need to add to my rules page . this is specifically in regards to jack . aside from the main canonical timeline , jack's identity as a serial killer is hidden to the public . most people do not even know who he is as a person , let alone a criminal . so in historical timelines , or other timelines earlier than his canonical reveal ( the beginning of round 4 ) , no one truly knows who he is . there are exceptions , though , such as brunhilde . jack will introduce himself as jack , however . and he publicly goes by the name "jack smith." however , the presence of being around him , how he acts towards others , etc . are generally to be seen as ... extremely strange . he absolutely gives off a dark & unsettling aura . your character can be put-off by him , for instance . but if your character isn't some divine being possessing mind reading powers / omnipotence / secret knowledge etc , most people will not know that jack IS jack the ripper . he will just appear as a very strange british man . if your character is a regular human , they would likely never know . he keeps his identity very close to him , and not even those who have lived near / with him personally can even tell for sure. he has never told anyone outright , prior to his canon reveal . that is why he goes into the area wearing a mask . please do not metagame about jack's identity unless if we discuss things beforehand ! thank you .

Please read this section very carefully as it contains important things you should know before you approach me to RP with my character(s).

NO MINORS.

Yiuno’s lore contains very dark and mature themes, and these are crucial in his characterization and development as a person. On the same note, I’m also not keen to work with adults who are sensitive to various triggers, to err on the side of safety. I’m a very busy person, and my empathy for others is fairly limited after a long and stressful work day.

NO IN-GAME RP.

I have a demanding full-time job and I live in the JST (GMT+9) time-zone. Aside from schedule restrictions, I mainly play on Japan DCs due to latency issues. It’s difficult for me to arrange in-game meetups, and I’m too busy with real life to manage alts on other data centers. I’m also uncomfortable with many aspects of in-game roleplaying, which I find them too stressful and not fun to deal with.

NOVEL-STYLE WRITING.

Google Docs is most preferred. Also open to other long-form writing platforms suggestions and I’m happy to give them a try. That being said…

I don’t expect my partners to be a bookworm as much as I am, but please have the basic courtesy to provide enough content in your IC replies to keep the story moving. Neither Yiuno nor I can read minds; metagaming is frowned upon in roleplays, and I’m sure we both want the collaboration to be a fun and fruitful experience.

PATIENCE IS A MUST.

I am unable to respond immediately due to time-zone differences. Your active time is my working or sleeping hours, and vice versa. Real-life commitments take priority over a shared hobby, which is a rule I will respect you for and expect the same in return. I’d need some time to come up with quality replies, too.

DO NOT MIX IC & OOC.

While I’m willing to impart bits and pieces of Yiuno’s backstory for the purpose of planning ahead in OOC discussions, it should be universally understood that you should never mix OOC knowledge with IC development without my explicit permission. Always keep communication channels open—not only to make sure everyone is on the same page with the RP, but also to build good rapport along the way.

POSSIBLE STARTING POINTS.

I’m mainly looking for serious, long-term roleplays with a good dose of plot and character development. If none of the hooks below can tickle your fancy, we can discuss further in OOC to brainstorm more ideas.

SHARLAYAN.

Krile Baldesion. One of Yiuno’s regular clients, who often calls upon his expertise as a treasure hunter and curse breaker both, to handle jobs deem too dangerous for any gleaners to tackle. In exchange for his assistance, Yiuno exploits Krile’s position as an esteemed Sharlayan scholar to gain access to the Noumenon, where he can conduct his own research for the information he seeks. The question is: what is he looking for amongst the dusty, ancient grimoires of forgotten past?

ARCANE HUNTER.

Yayake Yake. Though a dutiful receptionist who works at the Thaumaturges’ Guild, this seemingly polite Dunesfolk has a sharp sense for those with great potential for arcane arts. She has tried and failed to recruit Yiuno to join the guild on countless occasions, with only requests in reclaiming artifacts of the black to seduce the unwilling man back to Ul’dah each time. While this seems like an inconspicuous relationship, there is definitely more than meets the eye. Why does Yayake single out Yiuno from amongst the promising candidates of black magic? Why does she have such high regards for his talent and skill? What else does she know about this brooding Viera—and what is she hiding about him?

ANCIENT CITIES.

Remnants of the Great Flood. Though Yiuno would often introduce himself as a mere treasure hunter when prompted on his martial prowess, if one is observant enough to pick up the signs, they would notice that some things just don’t add up. Majority of Yiuno’s regular clients have affiliations with guilds of the arcane arts. He’s usually tasked to find and reclaim ancient artifacts from fallen civilizations known for their knowledge in magic. He has a curious familiarity with the three factions in the Magi War: the Floating City of Nym, the Weeping City of Mhach, and the Lost City of Amdapor. Just what kind of connections did Yiuno have with the Sixth Umbral Calamity?

THE DUALITY OF IANA.

An enigma of many faces. Many adventurers would’ve dipped a toe or two into the Eozean underworld during their long journeys; those enticed by the promise to fulfill their desires would exchange their virtues for riches, sinking themselves into the violent hellscape beneath the façade of peace and prosperity. Toxic masculinity ruled this chaotic world with brute strength, while they exploit femininity to charge their own libido. However, not all women are willing to bow down to such prejudiced savagery—Yiune is an assassin who seduces her male targets with her beauty before she seals their fate in the silence of the night (or so the rumors say). Very few would live to learn about the shocking truth of this graceful lady of death… for “she” is actually a man under the glamorous mask. What compels him to exact his own brand of justice in such an unorthodox way? Is there more to this curious killing spree under the bleeding moon of Etheirys?

LOOKING FOR…

To reiterate on the importance of OOC discussions: both parties should have basic respect for all characters in the roleplay. Pre-established connections or no, I expect the player(s) to keep communication channels open—talk things out and come to an agreement first before throwing any drastic plot twist in each other’s face, especially one that can drastically change the course of the RP development for both sides.

TRAVELING COMPANIONS.

A wanderer at heart, Yiuno often flits around Eorzea and beyond, never staying in one spot for long. Sometimes due to work calls, other times purely on a whim—while he is fairly knowledgeable on the geography of Etheirys, he doesn’t seem to have a place he’d call home. Deep down, Yiuno knows that he doesn’t belong anywhere: his immortality forces him to constantly move from town to town, keeping a low profile lest someone finds out the secrets to his eternal youth.

Do you share his plight of not having a place to feel home? Or are you seeking for the thrill of leaving your home and explore the uncharted waters beyond your comfort zone? Yiuno’s experience with traveling might just be what you need for the long journey ahead.

FRIENDS & ALLIES.

Regardless of Yiuno’s hermit lifestyle, even he understands that people are generally social beings who thrive on interactions with anything and everything around them. Yiuno knows that he can’t stay incognito forever—he’s getting weary of all the running, hiding, and lying. He wants a shoulder to lean on when the world comes crashing down upon him, or to be in a group of his caliber that can bring out his real talents.

Are you looking for a veteran to join your team and perform great heists like the one in the TV series, Leverage? Or are you the same as Yiuno, seeking a partner with great chemistry to make the world tremble under your unstoppable efficiency? Yiuno might just be that unlikely friend you need to make your ambitions come true.

Perhaps your only goal is to hire someone for the job, and you’re content to keep the relationship professional. Or you’re already taken and eternally bound by oath, preferring to employ someone who will respect your boundaries. Yiuno has been in this job for a very long time, and he knows where to draw the clear line to get the work done.

However, having a personal network of contacts does have its own merits—the gil and rewards grow with the trust and reputation built from the result of every completion. Of course, the danger and tension will come along with the riches, and perhaps this is the thrill you seek beyond the façade of your seemingly peaceful life.

RIVALS OR ENEMIES.

Perhaps he’s an infinite darkness you want to reach and conquer. Or maybe you hate him just because. Whatever your reasons are, you’ll never see eye to eye with him: you communicate with fists and blades, and every meeting is a fight to kill.

Whether Yiuno is an assassin you aim to erase from the world, or his very existence threatens yours, how will this rivalry or enmity end…? Or a different kind of dynamics might be born from the final clash?

WHAT ABOUT SHIPS?

I’m selective towards romantic relationships with other player characters. Slow-burn is most preferred to create a meaningful development between our characters, and also reveal the truth behind Yiuno’s complex characterization in the most organic way, layer by layer. Though he’s no stranger to one-night stands due to the nature of his job, Yiuno’s a demi in the RP verse—mere physical pleasures with randoms aren’t enough to win him over, and instead more than likely to send you into Death’s sweet embrace.

Rules

- General - DON’T PANIC!

This is multi-fandom blog, but some primary influences you may find are The Stanley Parable, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and the works of Stephen King, as well as anything horror. I routinely poke fun at tropes, themes, and other elements of storytelling while attempting to introduce elements of horror.

My blog is Selective - that means that before we interact, I will check out your blog to make sure that we’re a good fit. If I choose not to interact with you, please don’t take it personally. I have my reasons for being selective, and I choose to be selective so I can keep my rping space fun and comfortable for myself. Please don’t let that stop you from inquiring, though! Odds are if you’re 25+ and open to rping crossovers and with OCs, I’ll rp with you.

That said, I prefer to rp with folks closer to my own age, and so to interact you must be at least 25 years of age. You may see me interacting with some others who are under 25 - this is because we were rping together before I put in the age restriction. If you are under 25, I may still choose to interact with you if I feel like we’d be a good fit as rp partners.

I’m not a terribly strict person, so things on this blog will probably not be terribly strict either! I’m just here to have fun. Mostly I don’t take things too seriously - so most things will be lighthearted and will trend on the silly side. I do love to write dark humor, though, so there will probably be some of that. Anything that is a serious trigger, I will try to tag appropriately (I sometimes forget though, so please forgive me! Please message me if I miss something in this regard and I will fix it).

I’ll interact with muses from pretty much any fandom. The only caveat is that if your muse is from a fandom I am unfamiliar with, I may need some information from you in order to understand things better. Otherwise, bring in your little ponies and your stubborn test subjects and your space-exploration team! And, oh yes, your OC’s and self-inserts. Bring them all!

There are at least two ways to play here! You can send your muse through “The Story” and have one of my Narrators narrate for your muse. Or we can just interact. Whichever you like. Most of the time these days it’s normal interactions, but my muses love to narrate stories so they’d be happy to do so.

Please note: This blog contains dark themes such as depression, anxiety, death, horror, and occasional gore. HOWEVER! I will include content warnings (such as  “cw death”, “cw images of horror”, etc.) and usually include anything particularly graphic or descriptive under a cut. A good deal of the stuff I roleplay here is silly humor, and I don’t intend on including  anything horrific in RP threads without discussing it with you first. - The Mun - I, the Mun, am in my 30s. Understandably this may make some uncomfortable and I totally understand. I am not at all offended if you choose not to rp with me due to my age.

I am also a mother to an eight-year-old and I babysit my baby nephew during the week. Sometimes I get very busy, but I do try to stay as active as I can.

I go by the name of Thursday! My muse Thursday started off as a self-insert but she broke away from me and ran off into the sunset. She decided to keep my name, but we are both completely different people.

- NO METAGAMING - This means using your personal real-life knowledge to influence your character’s decisions. It honestly takes the fun out of roleplaying for someone’s muse to “know” everything and always make the “right” decision because of it, especially if it’s to manufacture or kindle a relationship or manipulate things in your favor. PLEASE NOTE: The exception to this is if we agree to breaking the fourth wall (due to the nature of The Stanley Parable or another fandom) or crack threads. Information obtained via ask memes is okay!

- NO GODMODDING - This means assuming the actions of my muse or actively controlling my muse. If it’s something small like opening a door, that’s okay, but assuming my muse will go along with every action your muse is saying/doing without protest is unacceptable.

- Harm towards muses - If your muse is about to get into a situation where they can be hurt or killed, I will reach out to you first before I reply to your post. I will never harm your muse without permission first, so please extend that same courtesy to me. PLEASE NOTE: Some of my muses are more dangerous and violent than others - and a couple of them are intentionally overpowered. If you are uncomfortable interacting with these muses, please let me know!

- Replies - I try to reply within a day or so, but sometimes I get busy and can’t keep to that time frame. However, if it has been a week or longer, please reach out to me. I may have overlooked your reply or didn’t get the notification. I also use an RP Thread Tracker. Some threads are easier for me to reply to than others, but I will answer as soon as I can!

I sometimes get carried away with my replies and they end up long. Don’t ever feel compelled to match my post length, but please give me enough to work with. A couple of short paragraphs with some dialogue and descriptions should be enough. Also, if my posts are too long for you, let me know - I will do my best to keep them shorter.

- Shipping - My blog is multiship. That means that my muses may be shipped with more than one character and from different verses, AUs, or even in the same verse. I am open to shipping with chemistry only - it may take several rp threads together to determine whether my muse likes your enough to ship with them. Also, please don’t ship with my muses just to collect ships or if you don’t intend on ever developing the ship with my muse. I have had too many people want to ship and then never do anything and it’s very frustrating. My muses want to get to know your muse and form bonds with them.

That said, I’m always open to hearing your thoughts and ideas if you have a ship in mind. Don’t be shy about reaching out. I’m perfectly willing to work towards a ship via plotting. I will always be 100% honest about whether or not I think they’d work.

Please be mindful of my muse’s ages when interacting with them! I will not allow Anons or ANYONE who is a minor to interact romantically and/or sexually with them, even in jest. It’s inappropriate and makes me uncomfortable.

- Plotting - I am open to plotting! Usually I let things unfold as they go, but I do occasionally have plots running and little situations for my muses to get into. If you want to be involved or want my muses to be involved with your plots, feel free to ask!

Please do not feel obligated to participate in my plots. Also, if I pitch a plot to you and you truly don’t want to go with it, please be honest and tell me up front. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been told by an rp partner that they want to do a plot, and then I’m left hanging or dropped altogether with no word or warning. I would much rather be told no up front and will have no hard feelings for it.

- Trigger warnings/content warnings - I will tag the following items as indicated below. They’ll be tagged as CW - for example: CW blood. If you have any particular triggers, squicks, or things that make you feel uncomfortable, please tell me so that I may add it to this list and remember to tag them for you!

- Stuff I am NOT comfortable with roleplaying - Smut. I am not really into rping smutty stuff. Suggestive or dirty humor, implying things, flirting, mentioning it, saying it happened, asking questions about my muses’ sex life, and suchlike is all fine - just nothing overly explicit, please. I don’t mind other people rping smut and following those who do; I am just uncomfortable rping it myself. If in any case an rp starts going in that direction, I’ll have it fade to black or skip ahead.

Excessive violence towards children. It’s okay if it’s part of a muse’s past and I am also okay with some angst and general childhood things like skinned knees and the like. But I am not comfortable rping actual threads where there is excessive harm being done towards children.

Toxic/abusive relationships, especially ones being handled like it’s romantic or sexy. I don’t find abuse romantic and I will not portray it that way. If you do, that’s fine, I’d just prefer not to be a part of it. Thank you.

Torture porn. This to me is like in-depth threads that have extreme violence for the sake of extreme violence and has erotic undertones along with it. I don’t find torture and extreme violence to be erotic and I am uncomfortable with portraying it that way. Again, if you do, that’s fine, but I’d prefer not to be involved.

- Stuff I am comfortable with - Violence? Sure. Blood and gore I am okay with, though when I write it it tends to be less descriptive and more to let you do the imagining. Cursing? Fuck yeah! Crude humor? Of course! General horror - definitely!

- Blocking -

I don’t often block people myself, but if I find you’ve blocked me then I will also block you so your blog doesn’t keep coming up as a suggested blog.

I ask that if you truly don’t want to rp or talk ooc with me anymore, please hard block me instead of softblocking. Tumblr has a glitch that randomly makes you unfollow people sometimes, so if you softblock me I’ll assume it was the glitch and follow you again. Hardblocking will communicate to me that you don’t wish to interact any further with me at all and I’ll get the message.

And finally...

- Communication - This one is a big one for me. It’s important to me that if you have any issues with anything that you please tell me, so that I can do better going forward. It doesn’t matter how big or small - please bring it to my attention. Don’t let it fester. It is always better to talk about it than to try to shrug it off. I will do the same - if I have any issues, I will bring them to your attention.

If at any time you want to stop writing together, I understand. Sometimes muses fall out and even mun chemistry can go sour or you lose interest for one reason or another. All I ask is that if you truly don’t wish to rp together anymore, please let’s decide to peacefully part ways. Please don’t force yourself to keep replying to me out of a sense of obligation. I would rather us go our separate ways than for you to feel obligated to reply to me when you aren’t into it anymore.

I really don’t want to make this kind of post but I realize a lot of you may either be newer to the rp scene or unfamiliar with interacting with canon characters.

Do not assume Osiris knows your OC unless discussed prior. The only characters I will have him “know” is the Young Wolf and other canon characters. That being said, it’s fine if your OC knows who Osiris is, certainly — he is a legendary figure after all. But if your OC expresses any more knowledge about him outside of what the general populace knows I probably won’t reply.

This is a form of metagaming. I do not enjoy it, and I do not enjoy having to reply with Osiris being disconcerted by their level of knowledge. Please please please be a bit more aware of the fact your character cannot and does not know about the levels of grief he has.

Osiris is a very very private man, and you should respect this.

Code of Conduct.

1. Moderators will be monitoring gameplay and any metagaming will be addressed both in and out of character. 

Metagaming: defined as the character having knowledge of things the character should not (for example: witnessing a character death OOC in a mini meta event and somehow having knowledge of that death IC), or attempting to influence the plot in major ways without consulting a mod. Offenders will receive a warning. Repeated offenders will receive a strike.

2. Players are expected to be consistently active and interacting with multiple parties. If you are chronically inactive, you will receive a private message from a moderator and could be removed from the server.

3. If the plot involves significant life events (pregnancy, jail, serious bodily harm, etc), it needs to be approved by the mods and your fellow writers. If your character has a “secret plan,” that plan should never be a secret from the mods. Springing a last minute plan on the mods will result in that plan being denied. Until your request is approved or denied, DO NOT continue with your plot. Put it on hold. If the plot affects more than two people, all affected parties must be consulted. You cannot speak for another player in these matters.

4. If your character is standoffish or rude to another character, it’s important to interact with that writer OOC and make sure they’re feeling comfortable. Things can be taken personally otherwise. Character bleed is a real thing, especially in high stress situations. If mods sense tension, we reserve the right to call for a break to avoid hurt feelings.

5. Actions IC have consequences IC. Mods can step into private and public threads at any time to narrate/help players navigate the plot. If your character wants to investigate something, let the mods know! We’ll make you your own mini-event. Anyone can have a mini-event at any time, with regard to mod availability.

6. You have a certain amount of control over your character and their death. You’re welcome to plot out your character’s death with mods, if you’re into that kind of drama (we definitely are). We’d love to help make the end of your character’s story special. Otherwise, your character may still die as a result of their action or inaction IC. Again, if *you’d* be afraid for your life, your character probably should be too. 

7. There are no main characters in this server. All characters are important in their own ways and all characters are fallible, prone to mistakes, and make poor decisions. No one likes a character who’s always right. Please take care to keep your characters from becoming Mary/Gary/Therry Sues. If this becomes a repeated problem, you will be issued a strike.
