Premius Fyyre's house

After this long drive Bavaria seemed pretty okay to Valkyrie, she really liked the Alps. The glaciers, where she once had fought that yeti, had made an even more beautiful landscape, but this would do, too. These sweet mountain huts everywhere between the green grass were kind of awesome. And even more awesome were the cows standing all over the place. God, what a boring trip this has been. But now they were here. In front of Premius Fyyres‘s house.

„Soo, this is his house?“, Valkyrie asked already out of the car not even stretching. Too glued were her eyes to the house.

„It is“, answered Skulduggery silently walking around the car.

„It‘s just... that‘s not a house.“

„Yes it is.“

„No, Skulduggery, this is not a house. Definitely not. By definition.“

„I don‘t get what you’re trying to say.“

„A house has like... walls... made out of concrete or something.“

„Not all houses.“

„You’re missing my point. I don‘t say it‘s no house because it‘s a hut or something. It‘s no hut. It‘s not even a shack. That‘s a freaking outhouse, Skulduggery.“

„Indeed, an out-HOUSE. That‘s a house, too.“

„No, no, no“, she paused. „No it‘s not. It‘s just not. That‘s... like someone took four wooden doors and leaned them against each other and then he put some nails into them, so that only one door can be opened. And, and after that he, he laid a few planks on top of everything to stop the rain when someone‘s taking a shit. You can‘t call this a house.“

„I think I can.“

„No, you can not, I forbid you.“

„I think before you can forbid that, we need to discuss a little more: it got four walls, a door and a roof; that‘s a house.“

„Three walls and a door.“

„The door is a door and a wall at the same time.“

„That’s also not possible.“

„In a discussion you can‘t just say that everything‘s impossible, that‘s not how a discussion works.“

„It‘s not a house, you lied to me.“ Valkyrie crossed her arms.

„I didn‘t lie to you, technically this is a house. It even got a window.“

„And that‘s not a window, either. This ‚window‘ is just a heart-shaped hole in the door. It‘s much too small for a window.“

Skulduggery opened his mouth again, but Valkyrie didn‘t let him speak. „‚Hey, Vally‘ you said, ‚wanna go on a cool adventure? We are going to capture Premius Fyyre.‘ Hear that? Fire. You said fire. ‚He has got a house in the Alps in Germany.‘ You lied to me and the whole boring trip I was looking forward to invading a burning lava-fortress made out of flames. And now I just get an outhouse!“

Skulduggery tilted his head. After two seconds he said: „But look at this adorable heart-shaped window!“

„No, I‘m not listening to you, you are stupid.“

Skulduggery waited two seconds. „So here‘s the plan: The door is sealed and even more important: we have imagination. So we‘re gonna jump through the window after the house completed the first looping.“

As the last word ran out of his mouth the outhouse started to move and a rail system started to rise.

Valkyrie‘s confused face was also decorated with an half open mouth.

„Why didn‘t you just tell me we are going to break into a roller-coaster-outhouse?“

„I didn‘t want to spoil the surprise. And looking forward to a burning castle is even cooler than an roller-coaster-outhouse.“

„So you did lie to me?“

„It‘s already in the looping, get ready to jump.“

Valkyrie had no idea how they would fit through the window, but she didn‘t care. She couldn‘t help but smile because she knew Skulduggery was smiling, too.
