TakemuraWeek22 Day 7 - Just a memory thought
The dark leather coat felt rough under her fingertips. The texture of the worn material was anything but foreign. She had it long memorized, after spending a restless night clutching onto the clothing item for dear life. Shivering from pain and cold, slipping in and out of consciousness, praying the poorly done stitches on her side would not tear open again.
“Goro?” she asked softly, her hand brushing towards his shoulder, sensing his tension even through the layers.
"I'm here," he said, turning slowly to face her, the hint of an expectant glow hidden beneath the halos in his eyes.
“I..” her voice cracked.
“What’s wrong?” A frown gracing his handsome features without diminishing them. The worried expressions regarding her were nothing she would ever witness under normal circumstances. But here and now, he wasn’t wearing his mask.
“Can you stay?” Vague, cautious hope tainted the question, innocent yet heavy with aspiration.
His palm came up to rest against her cheek. She leaned into his gentleness. Relishing the warmth from his skin. However, a breath of fresh air shattered the illusion of touch.
Lydia opened her eyes, sighing heavily, when the scene disappeared, leaving her alone with the bitter memory of a wishful thought. She remained standing in the doorway for a few more minutes, staring in the direction he had walked away.

Unfortunately, I could not properly participate in this year's TakemuraWeek. Despite my undying love for Goro. But that's just the way life is. All I can offer now is a scrap of a fanfic I never finished and an old screenshot.
But seeing everybody's incredible work has made this week truly wonderful!!!! <3 A big thank you to everyone involved and a big hug to all my fellow Takemura simps <3
Lots of love to my friends from @takemuraweek <3
