Digital Love

NB Da leggere con la musica in sottofondo.

Quando mi sento così fuori dal mondo mi partono le idee (forse) più belle: ad esempio ascoltando Digital Love mi sono immaginato una storia dietro questa canzone.

Siamo nel futuro,un astronauta,che sta con la sua crew per degli esperimenti sulla Terra,decide di abbandonare “l’accampamento” e andare in una casa che solo lui sa. Prende la sua jeep futuristica (immaginatevi una a caso di Cyberpunk 2077) ed arriva sul posto. E’ abbandonata,diroccata,distrutta quasi completamente.. come se fosse rimasta così da parecchi anni. Ad un certo punto si avvicina ad una scrivania e accende qualcosa che assomiglia a un Lettore di micro SD o CD..prende una schedina che assomiglia a un floppy più grosso e piccolo,lo inserisce (esattamente come questa scena https://youtu.be/OrzgxUhnYjY?t=16) e parte Digital Love dei Daft Punk.

Quando comincia la voce robotica inizia a “cantare”,e nel mentre gira per la casa. Quando parte “The time is right to put my arms around you” la scena si sposta su due ragazzi : il primo mette le braccia attorno a lei,e lei fa altrettanto,sembra tutto positivo..e la gente applaude.

E’ un ricordo passato dell’astronauta,quando lui durante una festa,esattamente in quella casa dove lui ora sta passeggiando tra le macerie, baciò per la prima volta quella che sarebbe poi diventata la sua ragazza..e la gente sono gli amici che applaudono.

Dopo la prima strofa, a “Ooh, I don’t know what to do” si avvicina ad una finestra appannata e semi distrutta,la pulisce,e dal vetro vede la sua ragazza dell’epoca che arriva in cima a una collinetta o qualcosa del genere che si trovava davanti alla finestra,la scena è accompagnata dal suono della trombetta. Al “About these dream and you” si sente di nuovo la trombetta e la scena si sposta dalla ragazza che è arrivata in cima e che sta aspettando il ragazzo,al ragazzo stesso che è arrivato dopo di lei (ricorda moltissimo questa https://youtu.be/F2bk_9T482g?t=34) . Alla fine la scena ritorna dall’astronauta che viaggia ancora per la casa,la scena si sposta poi sulla casa..che all’improvviso..cambia. Le chiazze sulle pareti,la muffa,cominciano a diventare sempre più piccole,idem le crepe sui muri si cuciscono. Il tizio nota qualcosa e la prende,al minuto 2:46 un altro ragazzo suona un piano..cominciano a tornare le luci,l’elettricità. Al minuto 3:16 in primo piano vi vede l’astronauta con una chitarra elettrica e la cam comincia a girargli attorno,si nota anche un batterista in fondo che accompagna lui che dice ” Why don’t you play the game?” mentre fa l’assolo con la chitarra.

Mentre esegue l’assolo la casa dietro di lui riprende vita per la musica,come se si auto riparasse da sola. Al 4:11 ritorna la cam in primo piano che gira attorno a lui e alle altre persone che suonano,fino a 4:18 quando finisce l’assolo con la chitarra,con gli occhi chiusi e commosso (simile alla scena di Ritorno al Futuro).

Si vede poi lui,al centro della stanza da solo,con una vecchia chitarra in mano e la casa abbandonata,e si sente base di Digital Love in sottofondo.

L’astronauta ha immaginato se stesso che suonava la chitarra insieme a quella che un tempo era la sua band formata dai suoi amici (tastierista e il batterista della scena precedente). Era tutto frutto della sua immaginazione infatti,la casa ha ripreso vita perché la musica dei Daft Punk gli ha fatto rivivere il ricordo di lui da adolescente quando suonava la chitarra.

Proprio quando fu adolescente,ci fu una guerra atomica tra le potenze mondiali dell’epoca che devastarono completamente il pianeta Terra,rendendolo quasi del tutto inospitale alla vita. Alla fine,per riparare i danni causati dall’umanità,una società “arruolò” una serie di astronauti volontari per costruire nuove colonie su Marte,che all’epoca fu già visitato. Alcuni astronauti avrebbero poi avuto il compito di tornare sulla Terra per eventuali controlli (oltre a quelli dei robot) e per “ricolonizzarlo” facendo accampamenti ed esperimenti nelle estreme condizioni terrestri..una sorta di colonizzazione marziana al contrario. Alla fine la spedizione sulla Terra toccherà al protagonista astronauta che,in una notte,lontano da tutto e tutti,ricercherà la sua vecchia casa..in memoria della sua ragazza e dei suoi amici,che non furono risparmiati dalle bombe nucleari.

La canzone parte,ed egli rivive tutti i più bei ricordi passati assieme a loro in quella che era all’epoca casa sua.

While T-Bug is in the Squad, they are sorta neutral. And are friends with/works with Squad, Old Crew, and Fixers pretty evenly.

Vincent took Street Kid path and Valerie took Corpo path. Vincent eventually a bit of Nomad path to find themselves. After Valerie fired, Vincent helped out and they grew to be close siblings after long stretch of time having a rocky family life growing up.

T-bug OG Friends with Dexter Deshawn.

Evelyn and Judy are OG friends.

Goro is like really good friends with both V's for different reasons and the Arasaka's are like “why yo” lol.

Goro and Oda are OG friends.

Claire is like intermediary between both old and new squad – she's like adopted by old squad.

We never see Claire's husband (running theme) until the random reveal at some point in the most non-extravagant way. Everyone in the crew are always trying to see him and are sorta obsessed after a bit cuz they never see him because things always “come up” or visual is blocked).

Misty is still doing her witchy/spiritual tarot card thing.

Basically everyone who died in game are alive in this AU. Jackie, Saburo, T-bug, Dexter, The V's, Etc.

Johnny and Alt are the only ones technically dead in the AU. Johnny is in shard thing, and Alt.. Idk yet. She maybe still alive in this but with like AI copy of herself or something interesting like that.

Both V's are at the very least Bi but def queer.

Anna: Before the Collapse, she was closest to Staci Pratt in all of Hope County. He was less instrumental in showing her the ropes - like Hudson was - and more into showing her how to have a good time while the county descended into a bigger mess. She came to enjoy her time on patrol or behind a desk with him, since he did his best to keep the atmosphere lively; he was also the only one to be able to convince her to head to the Spread Eagle for drinks after work instead of heading home to her rented place to be alone and even while some of his antics and flirting exasperated her, she really liked him and enjoyed his company. She’s greatly affected and angered by his transformation under Jacob and is fiercely protective of him, prepared to do anything to get him back.

Reese: Her father drew away from his children following his wife’s death and it only got worse for him when the Collapse happened. He eventually withered away, unable to be inspired to continue on despite his children’s best efforts. Even while he was still alive, Reese looked to her brothers for male role models, as they were the ones to care and teach her more than anyone: specifically, her elder brother Danny, who had always been fiercely protective of her and always pushed her to the heights he knew she could reach.

When she reaches Hope County, Reese is drawn in by Joseph Seed’s magnetism and finds herself accepting him as a father figure, despite warnings from the former Resistance members she’s allied with. He initially provides a steady reassurance that she felt denied by her biological father and she’s taken by the  

Kate: One of the very few possessions she has and prizes above all else is the photo or her and her father, James, taken on her 10th birthday. When Amata pleads for her to return to Vault 101 and help her with the coup she is staging, all Kate returns for in her former home is that picture and leaves everything else behind when she is banished once more. The other things she cherishes are the holotapes of James’ diaries working on Project Purity both before and after she was born and being able to hear his voice again...she replays his voice so often that the tapes start to run and she has to make her replays more sparing to preserve them.

Jem: Has a very strong connection with Joshua Graham upon first meeting. She’s in awe and a little wary of him, having heard the stories of the Malpais Legate and the Burned Man but comes to admire him. Joshua in turn sees the help she provides, but also the brutality and cruelty that lurks inside her from her former self - and that comes out to rears its ugly head from time to time - and sees a great deal of his younger self in her and hopes to steer her away from the path he walked. Eventually, she proves herself able to overcome the darkness that lurks inside when she takes mercy on Salt-Upon-Wounds and convinces Joshua to spare him. They part ways when he takes the Dead Horses back to Dead Horse Point and she returns to New Vegas to prepare for the upcoming battle at the Dam, but they both have a feeling of “in another life, maybe...-”. He gives her his pistol, A Light Shining In Darkness, and it becomes her sidepiece from that moment onward

Deckard: Deacon is her best friend: they have similar senses of humor and he can make her laugh like no one else can. Deacon always sees the goodness inside her and how she tries to help people and admires her maintaining nobility even in the strange, cruel new world she finds herself in. While he disapproves of her allegiances with both the BoS and the Railroad, seeing the danger there in trying to straddle both lines, he comes to understand her perspective when she can’t support the worst of the Brotherhood’s bigotry but also can’t support the Railroad turning a blind eye towards the suffering of those who aren’t synths. He joins her with the Minutemen to take down the Institute and elects to remain in Sanctuary from time to time to look after her, following her depression after she kills her son, Shaun.

Eventually, his feelings become more than just friendship but he’s willing to hide his love for the sake of her happiness with Danse after they become a couple. However, she approaches Deacon when she and Danse consider the possibility of having a child, and he becomes father to her daughter, Ripley. Deckard comes to acknowledge she loves Deacon as well and he rounds out the strange little family they now form together.

Cyberpunk 2077 OCs: since you convinced me to maybe have two characters instead of picking between two names, they’re gonna be Brody and Hudson Stark. Brody is female, Hudson is male: a younger sister and an older brother. As is tradition for most of my characters, their names are inspired by other fictional characters i admire or like. The last name “Stark” comes from my boy Tony Stark. “Brody” comes from Chief Martin Brody of “Jaws” and Hudson comes from Pvt. Hudson of “Aliens”. I haven’t had a female protag with red hair before so Brody is going to have red hair

...and that’s legit all i’ve got so far, lmao. they’ll take shape the closer we get to release and more info is put out, and then they’ll go through major overhaul once i actually play the game through once or twice
