you and march sat near a vending machine at the starskiff haven, voices near silent as the two of you waited. it was unlike march to be quiet and still as you waited, but anyone could understand why the two of you were so still. if the two of you disappeared within the crowd, there was no chance you'd find dan heng, or he'd find either of you. and even though it was kind of boring to people watch, the idea of moving from your current seats was causing a bit of fear within the two of you.

"do you see him yet?" march finally asked, and you looked over at her, shaking your head. she groans and leans back in her seat, her eyes searching the ever-moving crowd of people. "me neither. do you think he got lost?"

you laugh at her question, and shake your head again. "dan heng probably knows this place better than us, march." you say, but you search the crowd again. still no sign of your companion. it was kind of eating you up inside, but you knew both you and march missed him. after all, after jarilo-vi, the three of you had kind of become inseparable. even though march and dan heng couldn't understand your love for trash cans and dumpsters...-

"hey, look!" march suddenly calls, pointing behind you. you jump out of your seat by the time you've whipped your head around to see what she was pointing at.

dan heng was not expecting to see the two of you barreling at him at top speeds. he barely even realized he had seen the two of you until march had called out. in fact, he had been so caught off guard that he nearly fell over when you and march crashed into him, hugging him tightly. he recovered quickly, though.

"hello." he murmurs, wrapping his arms around the two of you. his voice is quiet, but you can still hear him chuckle. "i wasn't expecting such a welcome..." you don't even respond, nuzzling your head further into his neck.

"we missed you!" march grumbles, holding both you and him tighter. her grip would almost be painful, if you weren't so focused on how happy being wrapped in a cocoon by the two of them made you feel. dan heng was so warm and march 7th was so cold, it was a perfect combination.

"i missed you guys too." he finally admits, and you can swear you feel him kiss the top of your head.
