Gideon McDuck!
Even though he's depicted many times as stressed and workaholic, he still can be a big softie, he just complains a lot (for sure a McDuck)

Happy late 80th birthday, Grandma Duck! And happy 76th anniversary of Scrooge McDuck!
I haven't posted anything related to birthdays and anniversaries for a long time, but here I am posting this, even though I'm already more than a month late (because I've been away for a long time).
But, regardless, I'm publishing a special post for one of my favorite characters from Donald Duck comics and the Duckverse in general, as well as one of the best fictional parents, Grandma Duck (Elvira Coot).
It first appears in a short Donald Duck comic in a newspaper published on September 27, 1943. The comic was written by Bob Karp and drawn by Al Taliaferro and George Waiss, and Grandma Duck would later become one of the main characters in Donald Duck comics. Elvira Coot is the daughter of Clinton Coot (founder of the Junior Woodchucks) and Gertrude Gadwall and granddaughter of Cornelius Coot and sister of Casey Coot. Living for a long time on the farm, she learned to be an excellent gardener, cook and a good keeper and breeder of farm animals. And yes, she raised many children, her own, but also her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her nephews and nieces from the side and became a role model for all important members of the Duck family. She especially influenced the life of Donald Duck and that is why she is the best parent in the Duck family. And she is the oldest living as well as among the oldest people in Duckburg.
It mostly gained popularity in comics, first in America, then in European comics. Unfortunately, she didn't appear much in the animation. She only appeared in the Wonderful World of Color episode "This is Your Life, Donald Duck" in 1960, as a cameo character in "Mickey's Christmas Carol", as a cameo character in Sport Goofy in Soccermania and as a cameo character in the original Ducktales episode "Horse Scents" and in two video games. However, in most of the comics, Grandma Duck appears with Gus Goose. Yes, she is helped by two mice from Cinderella, Jaq and Gus.
Also, although this post won't be as dedicated to it as Grandma Duck, let me say that on November 14, 1947, Scrooge McDuck first appeared in the comic "Christmas on Bear Mountain" by Carl Barks, and more about that here: https://ducklooney.tumblr.com/post/701216162745352192
So Happy Anniversary to both Grandma Duck and Scrooge McDuck! Yes, if anyone is asking, in the Marco Rota comics, Scrooge and Grandma are sibling, so maybe this is related. However, they are totally separate and only have connections through Scrooge's sister Hortense and Elvira's son Quackmore.
And now pictures of Grandma Duck from her first appearance until today. Happy belated birthday Grandma Duck and happy anniversary of Scrooge McDuck's first appearance. If you love these characters, feel free to like and reblog this!

Scrooge McDuck's Easter Party - April Fool's Day and Autism Day - Scrooge McDuck's Duck Friends, Family and Rivals - Duck comics and Duckverse
Once again, I wish everyone a belated Happy Easter as well as a Happy April Fool's Day and a Happy Autism Day and Month! I know I didn't make it in time to do it and post it, because I had other things to do, but I certainly did a drawing related to the previous one (Donald's nephews' birthday), only with grown-up characters from Duck comics. Yes, since Easter almost fell on April Fool's Day, Donald and his cousin Fethry burst into Scrooge's party and douse him with a bucket of water, which of course Scrooge doesn't like. And Fethry Duck is definitely autistic (like me lol) who likes to try all kinds of things. And yes, a cake, cookies, and Easter eggs (mostly chocolate eggs) were prepared for the party. I didn't manage to draw all the characters that I love and that I know from Donald Duck comics (either from American or from European, especially Italian comics) because not all characters would fit in one drawing, and I apologize for that. Here are Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Scrooge McDuck, Flintheart Glomgold, John D. Rockerduck, Jeeves (Lusky), Miss Emily Quackfaster (Scrooge's secretary), Albert Quackmore Battista (Scrooge's butler), Gyro Gearloose, Brigitta MacBridge, Goldie O' Gilt (Glittering Goldie), Gideon McDuck (Scrooge's brother), Dickie Duck, Gladstone Gander, Ludwig von Drake and Abner Whitewater Duck.
I hope you like this drawing and this idea, and once again I wish everyone a Happy Easter, a Happy April Fool's Day, a Happy Autism Day and Autism Month, and a Happy Tax Day on April 15th! Feel free to like and reblog this, but please don't use these same ideas without mentioning me and without my permission. Thank you!
Also happy 75th anniversary of Topolino comics which are published in Italy and which are some of the best Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck comics ever!

hi! sorry If I am bothering you. I was just curious if you had any disney ducks ships?
Of course! But honestly not much outside of the canon. This is mainly due to the fact 99% of the characters are related. 🤯
Anyway my all time fav gotta be Daisy and Donald, BUT not really in the way they’re portrayed in the majority comics.
Tumblr media
Aka, the never ending Donald has to proof himself to her. With as his opponent either Gladstone or his chronic anger issues and bad luck. I do however really like the stories where they’re actually in a more healthy relationship, and not a bad one for the sake of the plot. And when Daisy actually resents Gladstone for once. And obviously not every relationship is perfect, but ykwim.
Tumblr media
Sorry I got too lazy to analyze any other ships in depth but here’s a quick list 💀
Scrooge and Goldie, although only in the Klondike days. I can’t really see them in a romantic way now, more in an old people that have a deep mutual understanding of eachother? Does that make sense? Maybe I just can’t picture old people in love.
Tumblr media
Gyro and Dickie, although again only in certain comics. Obviously Ducks on the Road, but it really depends on how the writer depicts Gyro. Would I ship chronically tired Barks gyro w her? Not really. But whatever they have done to him in Italy probably yes.
Although I have to say I have no idea how old that guy is if you don’t count Ducks On The Road. He could be 25 but also 40 depending on the writer. 🫠
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the rest I don’t actively participate in shippings. There’s some ships that I like, like Donald and Gyro but there’s also some that I despise. (Brigitta🫠) Personally I prefer to stick to the canon anyway since I’m just a massive nerd when it comes to Duck lore.

The series is concluded, and as I once did with Hemingway series, I think it's worth to collect them in one big file.
The scanlation of the story wasn't an easy decision. It was suggested by @frustratedpker herself. Even though I am aware of original novel popularity, the scans that I found just weren't great, and keeping in mind that I don't know Italian, and can't read the story beforehand, I decided to postpone it. Well, turns out the story was really worth it, and I shouldn't have any doubts in the first place. So... you should thank FrustratedPker for that series, that's for sure. And, don't forget about @scroogemcduckair who did really important corrections to the text overall. (she also owns a brilliant duck-themed discord server, so join if you still haven't)

i'm excited that there's finally a canon universe where scrooge and dickie know each other and then he gets a big surprise about her being related to goldie, thats so much fun for me specifically

Date, rudely interrupted by sudden appear of your partner's ex.
G:  Oh, Scroogie! Fancy meeting you here~!
S:  G-Goldie? I didn't know you were in town –
G:  Oh, I just came to spend few days with my granddaughter.
S:  Um, I see. …How has it been?”
G:  Just splendid~! We’ve been shopping… See this cute shirt I just had to buy?”
S:  It’s… nice.
G:  Hmm… Oh, it’s also quite useful ~” (winks at Flintheart). “So, what do you think, eh ~?
F:  I think that we’re taking another route!
S:  B-but, Flinty, we just came that way -!
F:  I feel like we might have missed few paintings down in the hall…
G:  (chuckles)
D:  … Grandma, did you seriously buy that shirt just to troll Scrooge’s partner?
G:  (with perfectly innocent tone) “Whatever gave you that idea?
D:  Grandma, you need a hobby.
G:  Making my exes’ partners feel insecure is my hobby~! Besides, if they can’t handle their men having a past, they don’t deserve them in the first place.
D:  …
G:  Really! I’m just helping them to notice red flags!
D:  Soo, did Mr. Glomgold raise those?
G: Dickie, darling, that man is one big, walking red flag…! But Scrooge likes the thrills, so I guess that in this case it’s okay.
D:  So: It was just for trolling, then?
G:  Well… yes~!
If the picture didn't glue you in, Goldie is wearing a shirt with a colors resembling polyamory-flag :) She's not currently looking for partners, and Flintheart has never been one to share, but if things ever changed, she wouldn't mind to join in...

Duckvember Day 20: Professional Duck
This one I felt that I needed to draw Scrooge again along with his love interest, green hoodie wearing nephew, workaholic younger brother, and the two duck balls of energy.

Happy birthday, Dickie Duck!
On December 18, 1966, the famous Italian artist and writer Romano Scarpa writes and draws a comic called "The Miner's Granddaughter" (or in Italian "Arriva Paperetta Yè-Yè") in which Paperetta Yè-Yè, i.e. Dickie Duck, appears. She is Goldie's granddaughter (not sure if she is Scrooge's granddaughter) and she is an older teenager, very friendly and very active and exciting in many things. Yes, she works as a reporter for Scrooge's brother, Gideon McDuck and his news agency "The Duckburg Chronicle" and in certain situations also works for Brigitta MacBridge (Scrooge's second love besides Goldie). She also goes to high school and college (not sure how old she is, but definitely between 18 and 24) and has female and male friends behind her, such as Beckett, Neptunia, Olympia, Walter, and Aracuan Bird. She is mostly very popular in Brazilian and Italian comics where she is mostly represented. Also, she is a friend of Daisy Duck, Brigitta, Magica and in some cases she is a babysitter for Donald's nephews and Daisy's nieces. In certain comics, Fethry is her boyfriend, while in some comics, Gyro is her boyfriend. She appeared in animation only once, in 1982 as an intro to the Topolino Show created by Romano Scarpa. And now, pictures of her from the beginning until today.
If you love her and her family and friends, feel free to like and reblog this. Happy birthday to you, Dickie!
