I was researching Northeast African lyres recently and came across two songs from this channel written in Old Coptic! This first one is about the new year, which for Copts occurred earlier this month. I would've shared these anyway but a lot of the comments on these videos aren't very pleasant, so I also want to expose them to a more positive audience.

Hi, since I am currently hyperfixated on Omori! I thought I'd spill some of my character headcanons!
Sunny/Omori - Full Name: Sunny Seraphim Liao - Ethnicity: Chinese-Coptic Canadian - he enjoys the literary works of William Blake & other romantic period poets - involuntarily mute.
Mari - Full Name: Mari Iris Liao - Ethnicity: Chinese-Coptic Canadian - favorite musical artist is probably Erik Satie - she is an avid enjoyer of obscure artforms - absolute theater kid lets be honest - embraced both of her cultures with pride.
Basil - Full Name: Basil Ivan Kaminski - Ethnicity: Polish-Canadian - brought up in a heavily Polish Catholic household - closeted baby gay - obsessively plays mario on the gameboy advance - total hypochondriac.
Hero - Full Name: Enrique "Hero" Almanzar - Ethnicity: Mexican-Guatemalan Canadian of Mayan descent - can probably cook better than Gordon Ramsay lets be real - probably worked at a blockbuster video rental store as a part time to get by during high school - one of the best people you can hang out with lets be real.
Kel - Full Name: Kelsey "Kel" Cristobal Almanzar - Ethnicity: Mexican-Guatemalan Canadian of Mayan Descent - has a goofy little obsession with terrible low budget films such as "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" - idolizes Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul Jabbar - has one of those basketball hoops near the driveway - ultimate gremlin.
Aubrey - Full Name: Aubergine "Aubrey" Hadassah Bernstein - Ethnicity: Israeli-Canadian of mixed Ashkenazi & Balkan Sephardi descent - raging lesbian - probably the Captain of her school's Baseball Team - Polyglot - can & will cuss you out in English, Hebrew, Arabic, Greek, Yiddish & Ladino - absolutely ruthless when it comes to being honest about shit - usually listens to grunge music - her favorite song is "Stacy's Mom" - neurodivergent af.

Me having silly head-cannon designs for the other Olympians form Ulysses dies at dawn by the Mechanisms.
As well as what their role in the city is outside of being crime bosses and mobsters. I’m not 100% certain with all these designs, but they are something.
Introducing from top to bottom, left to right.
Zeus - the biggest crime boss of the city. He practically owns the utilities, especially has a monopoly on most of the cities power grid. He controls a lot of the city by keeping it in the family and he has a big family. (he/him)
Poseidon- powerhouse in industry who’s main competitors are hestia and hepatitis, but they work in a shaky alliance as often as they work against eachother. He also has control of all the resources that come from what’s left of the oceans.(he/him)
Hera- the ultimate socialite. Anyone who is anyone wants to be invited to her shindigs. To be dropped from the invite list is to be declared socially dead. She controls large parts of the cities everyday burocratices and especially when it comes to marriage, funerals and organized festivals. Paperwork needs her seal of approval to be legal. She is known to be petty. (She/her)
Apollo- a huge influencer, dominates the social media and content viewed by the masses. Most of his power comes from his control of the medical sector, but he distracts the population from that fact by his contributions in the arts and music. Called the sun of Olympus. He is sometimes called the sun of the Olympians and is set to take over as head of comity if Zeus ever steps down (not happening) has a particular dislike of the Coptic gods, Hades in particular. (he/him)
Athena- she is a powerhouse in libraries, education, and the legal network. They know the laws as they wrote most of the laws. She is also a great sponsor of the arts. she runs the newspapers and has a web of information.(she/them)
Hermes- transportation, shipping and delivery, they also essentially run large portions or the cities information network. They are sometimes called the ghost of the internet along with their assistant Iris. (they/them)
Artemis- law enforcement and jails. She has her elite huntresses who deal with outlaws and criminals, renegades and thieves. She also preserves the little that remains of the cities “wild places” this is most of the time more of luxury gardens than anything that is actually wilderness. She is often considered one of the weakest of the Olympians, but as she has the backing of her brother no one bothers her, she is also a lot more powerful than people really give her credit for. After all the weakest Olympian is still more powerful than the strongest mortal king (she/her)
Demeter- the madam of food. The farms of the cities are hers and everyone relies on her food. She has adopted the mysterious ‘Persephone’ as her daughter (she/ her)
Hephaestus- the other powerhouse of industry, but focusing more on specialized goods and luxuries. Him, Aphrodite and Aries have a well known on-again-off-again situation going on. He is also know for creative (he/him)
Aphrodite- she defines beauty. Their head can be removed and swapped out as well as most of their other body parts. She controls cosmetic industries and clothing trends. He is the ultimate pimp. Running all the cities brothels and red lights districts even if doing so In the shadows. (she/them/him)
Note: Aphrodite was sort of inspired by princess langwidere from the wizard of oz. Because she is low key horrifying and I think it would fit.
Ares- the machines of war, the defenses of city districts, personal security, and criminal activities are all places where ares turns his attention. War is business and they make certain business stays booming. (they/them)
Hestia- she is that one essential oils lady, queen of home gadgets and MLMS. This Olympian has for centuries monopolized housing and construction. She is the largest landlord and head of the majority construction companies in the city. She is planning on retirement so she can focus more on her love of pyramid schemes. Though she has yet to name a successor. (she/her)
Note: this is all headcannon that I made for the fun of it. Perhaps it will be useful to someone, but for now it’s just silly headcannons.

Sometimes life takes on the thematic consistency of a movie, and this is always thrilling even if you know intellectually that all of your impulses and machinations have to come from the same subconscious place.
At the beginning of the week I saw an interesting horoscope prompt to write an obituary for your past self and bury it in the ground. I decided to do this, perhaps because I have been burning for change for several years now on a level that has been making me much more insane than I already am. I thought it would feel forced and pretentious to write the obit, but it was really easy, particularly easy to see what the "past self" consists of when I notice all the things I do now that I couldn't before. It was a good feeling, that it was so obvious to me what to write. I buried it where we spread our lizard's ashes, a place where there is a view of the Statue of Liberty. Sometimes I hang around there and analyze what "liberty" means to me in a culture where we often take it for granted as a foundational principle, even though this isn't very true in practice.
Tumblr media
It happened to be the summer solstice. On midsummer's eve I had been strangely full of energy. Someone posted a section of coptic midnight praise music, so I got out of bed and listened to that on repeat for about an hour before getting two or three hours of sleep. I woke up around dawn feeling refreshed and experienced no fatigue for the rest of the day. Then I did the writing, and the burial. Oddly (or not), I would spend the next two days finally-finalizing my married name change on every outstanding account. Becoming a different person.
In the night I'd found myself looking at pictures of snakes, my favorite animal since childhood. In the morning I vaguely remembered something having to do with snakes and midsummer; in fact there is a Lithuanian grass snake entity that is supposed to protect the home and bring good fortune, and it is connected with a sun goddess who is naturally celebrated on the solstice. I even remembered that I had some Zaltys-themed perfume in my collection, so I dug that out and enjoyed it, a sunny and snakey smell. My seemingly random snake meditation was well-timed, not only calendrically but because my husband and I have been desperately searching for a new home. We got one the next day.
Tumblr media
In less than 24 hours, we viewed an apartment in our (really MY let's be honest) favorite neighborhood, applied to lease it, and were accepted. Of course nothing with me is ever as cut and dried as that, and in reality it took several hours to get my application materials together and do banking bullshit and just stop fucking everything up. I started a post yesterday detailing all this, but now I'm too exhausted to fix it up and post it. Suffice it to say that almost every adult activity is almost Too Hard for me, I wish I understood the world better and I really do try but it's beyond my intellectual functioning, but every time I have to take care of some administrative nonsense I'm like a goldfish passing the same plastic castle like it's brand new. Sometimes it feels like everything I do is the hardest thing I've ever done, and my only source of pride is the willingness to keep doing it.
Tumblr media
The apartment is only slightly too expensive, which we will trade for slightly more space in a much nicer neighborhood. We've been sitting on each other's heads in a hilariously small place surrounded by toxic waste (literally) for ten years, and in the last few years it began to feel like something that was holding us back, as people, in life. Like I needed so many things to change about my health, my job situation, my daily routines, my worldly possessions, and it just didn't feel possible for anything to shift in this little place that seemed to be shrinking every day. I became convinced that moving house would trigger all of the other changes, no matter how unrelated they might appear, and I still think this may prove true.
Tumblr media
It may not be surprising that I started going to church during this time of constriction, when I could only expand my mind. I find it easy to love the intense fetishism of Catholicism, and its enormous pantheon of different guys with different attributes. It's got more guys than GI Joe, all with cool little backstories. Somewhere I read that you can bother St. Joseph for domestic needs. He is a guy who we know very little about, which is curious because the holy family is such a big deal; it seems that he died sometime before Jesus turned water into wine, but no one knows how. There is an incredible statue of him in Star of the Sea that is epically sad and exhausted-looking, I need to get a picture of him. I actually said a novena to Joseph for the new apartment...so now I guess I'm on the hook! Good thing I confused things by also asking my favor of the Lithuanian snake entity, so I don't have to just become a fanatical Catholic. I'll have to make a little joint altar in the new place for Joseph and the serpent.
Tumblr media
While I was changing my name on the last bank account down in the financial district, my husband texted me to say we got the apartment. It was about an hour after we submitted our application. When I stepped outside, I realized I was around the corner from St. Paul's Chapel on Broadway, an ancient-feeling place surrounded by modern steel and concrete and glass. The cemetery that wraps around the building has a view of the Oculus, which presents an extremely strange view that I couldn't get a representative photo of, so all these exteriors are stolen and you'll have to try to imagine what I mean. I did go in, though. The atmosphere is very powerful, a center of oldness and spirit and allegorical thought in the center of this futuristic business orgy. I think that I'd like to be wealthy because of course that's what everyone wants, but also because it would increase my ability to be helpful and contribute to changes I want to see around me. I thought about this while I put some money in the offering slot and lit a candle.
Tumblr media
In esoteric thought there is something called an egregore, which is sort of like a large-scale tulpa, an entity that arises from people's collective mental and emotional investment in it; Wall Street has an egregore, and the NFL, and Broadway, and Disney, and so on. St. Paul's Chapel does a great job of announcing itself as the seat of the egregore of New York City. I regret that I couldn't get a picture of this painting without the glare in the middle, although that does add a certain amount of drama. But anyway here we are, back to the concept of Liberty. Here's hoping the new apartment brings lots and lots of growth and change.

Emahoy Tsegué Mariam Gebru — Jerusalem/S-T (Mississippi)
Tumblr media
Jerusalem by Emahoy Tsege Mariam Gebru
Emahoy Tsegué Mariam Gebru passed away on March 26, 2023 at age 99. She led an extraordinary life (readers are urged to consult Sound Within Sound: Opening Our Ears to the Twentieth Century by Kate Molleson (Faber) for a revealing chapter on her work). It culminated with her becoming a nun in Ethiopia. She continued to make music, idiosyncratic piano compositions that were a melange of styles: French Impressionism, Chopin-esque Romanticism, Ethiopian Coptic liturgical music, traditional music of Africa, and the light pop of mid-century teahouses. Despite its unorthodox pedigree, Gebru’s has snuck into popular awareness via arthouse film soundtracks, and even an Amazon advertisement.
For a long time, her music was elusive on record, leading to Discogs bidding wars. Over the years, short runs of her music were released in Germany to benefit various philanthropic causes, but Gebru had no commercial ambitions. Mississippi Records has recently released two LPs collecting a number of Gebru’s performances: Emahoy Tsegué Mariam Gebru commemorated her 99th birthday in December 2022 and Jerusalem was released close to her death.
The title track of Jerusalem reveals Gebru’s playing style. Mid-register chords accompany highly ornamented melodies in modular, waltz-like sections. “Movement from Rainbow Sonata” channels early Romanticism alongside her use of Ethiopian scale patterns. “Aurora” is a delicate salon piece that bridges the classical and early popular genres in her music.
The self-titled LP has some excellent discoveries on it. “Mother’s Love” plays with arpeggiations in a fashion reminiscent of early jazz a la Zezz Confrey. “Golgotha” is a minor key rumination on the story from Holy Week. Its companion piece is “The Garden of Gethsemane.” In both, there is a great deal of call and response between the hands. “Son of the Sea” is an extended impressionist excursion in which one can hear Gebru’s affinity for the music of Debussy and Satie. It imitates the rocking of ocean waters and crashing of waves and features a plaintive call above them.
“Quand la Mer Furiese” is the sole vocal cut on either of the recordings. In addition to being Mississippi's leadoff single for Jerusalem it serves as a taster course for an all-vocal LP planned for the Fall of 2023. If the song is any indication, listeners are in for a captivating musical experience.

Something Real To Hold On To - Spiritual Awakening Radio Podcast

Becoming Free From Illusion - Leaving the Matrix, Merging With the Divine Beloved: This human condition is a story about the limited perception of relying solely upon the outer five senses and being deceived, existing with a severely limited ability to know the full picture, to find what is Real. However, according to the mystics of all generations, there's another means of spiritual knowing, another way of seeing and hearing available to us. There is hope of finding Light in the darkness, and the Music of the Spheres playing beyond, on the other side of silence. In my soul I am free.
The true devotee has an internal focus. The human body is the true "temple of the Spirit". Thus, one closes their eyes and looks within, entering the 'door' to the temple via the Third Eye Center, also referred to as the Single Eye and, the Seat of the Soul. In other words, we have the ability to see and hear spiritually if we did but know it. Instead of allowing these abilities to remain dormant, unused, the devotee develops his or her ability to see and hear spiritually during meditation practice, as revealed in Sant Mat, the Path of the Masters. Sant Kirpal Singh: "The greatness of a Master lies in the fact that when one meets Him, He initiates him into the Mysteries of the Beyond and gives Him first-hand experience of being born anew, and then by regular practice the initiate may transcend into the Beyond at will and enjoy the ineffable sweet symphonies of the Word which no ears have heard and no eyes have seen on earth." (Spiritual Elixir) In the Gospel of Thomas, the Master said to his living students at the time, "I will give you what no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, what no hand has touched, and what has never occurred to the human mind." (Coptic Gospel of Thomas, Saying 17)

April Nine - "Deepest Chills" Sonic Wonderland: A Journey Through Triphop & Drum 'N' Bass Song released in 1996. Compilation released in 1997. Trip Hop
Happy New Year!!! 🎉 Here's some luxurious and aptly titled mid-90s vocal trip hop from a duo that hailed from Ljubljana, Slovenia and also named themselves after my birthday! 🥳 "Deepest Chills," which they originally released on their well-regarded second and final album, Sandglass, is some Portishead-y stuff that sets beautiful strings against a slow and simple boom-bappy beat while also incorporating some turntable scratches too.
And April Nine were also known as Coptic Rain as well, the name under which they released industrial music.

@desertfragments - Boss Battle Asks (this is all of them)
🎵 for a battle theme song
I suck at knowing instrumental music, but gonna say this has approximate vibes. P o s s i ble shades of this or this, instrumentally speaking. ;)
🏰 for a location or dungeon theme and setting
This town has been going downhill. The entire district is dying, residents leaving for greener pastures, filled increasingly with the husks of failed attempts at industry.
It's the early hours of the morning, and the streetlights are sparse and poorly maintained, forcing you to rely on the light of the moon.
Will be found meandering around the streets and alleyways, doing gods-know-what.
💬 for a opening dialogue before fight
"Afternoon," he says, with a bright grin that makes you feel like he wants to see you hang. "Are you interested in making a deal?"
"...Um. What sort?"
"Hand over your wallet and I won't force your brain out through your eye sockets."
👊 for a description on a special move
Argumentum ab mortem (I)
Well, that was easy. The vague shape of the mage suddenly slips to the ground, crumpling like wet tissue paper, and dead silence falls over the alleyway. You step closer to the dark shape on the pavement, frown at the empty robes, and feel something slam into your back. He's laughing at you. Resurrects once with partial health.
👏 for a subordinate or mini-boss they might have
Mummified Rat
Something leaps down onto you from the gutter. It smells like rot, and its claws are filthy. Puny. Chance to inflict damage over time.
👌 for an key item left from them after losing
Bangle of Pestilence
A greenish-pinkish copper bracelet, spun into an odd, spongy texture. Just looking at it makes you feel a vague sense of malaise. Why would anybody wear this? Small increase in both vulnerability to and effectiveness of plague-based magics.
Components Pouch
Smells acrid. Contains several common and 1 uncommon crafting material. Randomised.
☠ for a game over if they win the fight
Whatever he's doing to you is making you gasp and sputter for breath, and black is creeping in around the edges of your vision. Your knees give out, your body crumpling gently to the ground. The mage creeps cautiously in, hovering over you like a carrion crow.
He presses his fingers over the veins of your neck for a few seconds, carefully props you up against the brickwork and pats you on the shoulder before skulking off.
You have lost most of your inventory.
💯 to know if they would be a easy or a hard boss
Early-game. Not too bad.
Unfortunately for everybody, though, this is not the only time you'll fight him. :)
ITERUM.
🎵for a battle theme song
I like the vibes of this or this, maybe. With less screaming.
With reference taken to the previous version of the song, obviously. ;)
🏰 for a location or dungeon theme and setting
Warehouse basement, disused. He's been renovating, wards scrawled thickly across the walls and floor in the red-brown of what smells like drying blood. They look like Coptic, but they shift as you try to read them, and it's giving you a headache. Something about it makes you want to leave, but you know what you're here for.
It's lit with candles, which you're not sure the ventilation is equipped for. It's unclear what the elaborate ritual circle is for or what he plans on dragging back to the altar, but it cannot be good.
💬 for a opening dialogue before fight
There's something wrong with the way he's moving, as if he's being operated by a very talented but nonetheless imperfect puppeteer. He sways on his feet, smiles wider than it seems he should be able to.
"Come, now," he says, enraptured. "I'm sure we can settle this reasonably, yes?"
He attacks before you can point out the dead man's liver staining his teeth.
👊 for a description on a special move
Spiritual Vampire
Everything he does is unnaturally frenetic. He barely seems to be affected by gravity. The air in here's making you slightly dizzy. Small but continual energy drain, which is split between his own mana & temporary hit points.
Argumentum ab mortem (II)
You can feel his skull cave in under your blow, and you can see that the dent is more than sizeable. Sticky, red-black blood seeps out from the wounds peppering his body, soaking his robes. He staggers, starts to fall -- stops before hitting the ground, hanging motionlessly for several seconds. His form shudders. He raises his head, shakes out two broken arms, and laughs. Resurrects once with partial health and improved evasion.
👏 for a subordinate or mini-boss they might have
Desecrated Corpse
Fresh from the morgue. There are a few of these, shoved into the corners with little regard. You're not sure precisely what the shit carved into their flesh means, or what he's done with all the parts hacked haphazardly out of their body. You don't want to know. Or do you? Not too damaging, but they're making you distinctly uncomfortable. Causes stacking debuff to strength and accuracy.
👌 for an key item left from them after losing
Cracked Ring
Static electricity occasionally sparks between the two halves of the crystal. This seems foolhardy. Substantial boost to strength when activated. Penalty to the same at all other times. Everything you eat tastes wrong.
Necromancer's Notes
It's a mess, but you might be able to decipher it with a few spare hours. And a Latin dictionary. One-time use. Allows you to learn one of his moves, if you have the prerequisites, of course.
☠ for a game over if they win the fight
You fall back against the wall, neck at an odd angle, a knife driven hilt-deep through your eye. He stares at you with a dull, glazed look in his eye, as if not fully cognizant of what he's seeing, or what he did roughly two seconds ago.
"Oh," he says softly, head falling by a fraction to one side. Something detached and calculating is already vying with the strand of horror in his voice. "Oh, shit."
A slight death rattle emanates from your throat. Your remaining eye is open and lucid, your mind not nearly damaged enough to stop you from recognising precisely what's going on.
He sinks down to meet your gaze, movements mechanical, automatic. Yanks the knife out of your face and slits your throat in a single sharp, precise movement.
GAME OVER.
💯 to know if they would be a easy or a hard boss
Might suck some (for you). Needs good DPS. Still not The Most Difficult.

I love me some tag game!! This one’s from like at least a week ago, but I’m still doin it, I don’t care! Was tagged by @shameless-notashamed @creepkinginc @mishervellous @celestialmickey @whatwouldmickeydo @ardent-fox @heymrspatel @squidyyy23 @deathclassic
Favorite color: Green 💚
Currently reading: @squidyyy23′s Dancing After Death has kept me up way way way past my bedtime more than once this week! And I just read @gallawitchxx’s new chapter of mate M8te this morning. IRL I’m reading some super nerdy history books about Coptic people and their history and culture and faith.
Last song: ummm @heymrspatel what’s that song you told me to listen to last week? Bad at music you guys.
Last series: Oh!! Julissa and I just finished watching Broad City and it was VERY good!
Last movie: Good Luck Leo Grande (also with Julissa)
Sweet/savory/spicy: Oooo! All of them, but very easy on the spice. And not like hot sauce spice. NO! But like Indian food spice. But like, Indian food where the restaurant is cooking for non Indian people and also with a tub of raita next to me.
Ok. I prefer savoury and/or sweet.
Currently working on: Ummm my resume? Sorta. I’ve ignored it for the last few days. Also, a really cool collab project for the @gallacrafts @shamelesscreatorsnetwork collab!! Can’t wait for y’all to see!
No tags, but if you wanna do it anyway tag me please!

hello friend i have frogs and happy things to share with you
Tumblr media
the wooden frog is an incense burner, he is my smoking buddy, aptly named “smoky”
the tiny frog next to smoky is nameless but they are very good friends
the planter is a gerald! he holds candle because the mantle doesn’t get much sun!
and then the box gerald sits on contains a collection of dried flowers
and the lil wooden box is a music box with a few bars of merry go round of life from howl’s moving castle
BIG FAN OF GERALD!!!
very good excellent vibes in this collection of things, love the tiny frog, love the vibes of Smoky and Tiny Frog best friendism, I'm sharing my own collection of my favorite small frogs and things:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
-tiny glass frog that is like the size of my pinky fingernail it is SO small
-frog I made out of soft rainbow fabric that has weighted beads inside and is the perfect size and shape to sit comfortably in your hand
-transgender wizard frog (need I say more)
-AND: tiny functional coptic stitch manuscripts which I made and then turned into earrings :)

Electric Sufi - Breathe In Love
This is Breathe in Love, the new album by Electric Sufi. A first single 'O Ignis Spiritus' will be released on 1 February 2023, the album will be released later that year.
Electric Sufi are Sheffield based Professor of Music and Sound Archaeologist at Huddersfield University Rupert Till, Manchester based singer-songwriter and environmental activist Sarah Yaseen and Nottingham based multi-instrumentalist / University lecturer Mina Mikhael Salama.
Rupert has produced ambient dance, chillout and electronic music under the the moniker Professor Chill throughout his career, including the album Dub Archaeology released in 2018. He’s also written the book Pop Cult which delves into the mysteries of music and spirituality, participated in the BBC TV series Civilisations as well as numerous other TV and radio shows, plus written articles in The Quietus, Huffington Post and New Scientist. His extensive research projects have been wide and varied, covering a multitude of subjects ranging from ‘The influences of Religion on British Club Culture and Electronic Dance music’ to ‘Sound Archaeology, Acoustics and Cave Art’.
Sarah, whose family roots are in Kashmir, is known in world music circles as a singer in UK Womad favourites Rafiki Jazz and Danish all-woman ensemble Radiant Arcadia. In Electric Sufi she sings in Urdu, Punjabi, Persian, Latin and English – and by doing so, draws upon a wide range of cultural influences. Inspired by Qawwali (Islamic devotional singing from India) and Ghazals (Arabic poetry), she has one foot firmly placed in a contemporary multicultural world and the other in the ancient lyrical and musical traditions on which she draws.
Mina, a Coptic Christian from Alexandria, Egypt, came to the UK as a refugee, taking asylum here from persecution in his homeland. He has since contributed much to UK culture through his performances at WOMAD, Edinburgh Festival, The Southbank, London as well as Cardiff, Leicester, Manchester and beyond. Along with Rupert, Mina has also contributed to the BBC TV series Civilisations where he demonstrated a 30,000-year-old Isturitz Vulture bone flute. On an international level, Mina has contributed to the music score on Disney’s Aladdin, directed by Guy Richie and starring Will Smith, Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott.
With a first performance at Bradford’s Kala Sangam Arts Centre, which received much applause from a diverse audience, this trio brings much collectively and individually to the Electric Sufi sound, resulting in a rich tapestry of cultural and musical layers of influence that their album Breathe In Love explores in much detail. Their modern interpretation of O Ignis Spiritus is a wonderful introduction to this enchanted world and their message of hope.
