Transformation Tuesday! These last couple of months have been quite rough for me. Sometimes we get do focused on the goal, we forget about celebrating all of our progress. The scale wasn't moving, for me, for quite some time. Out of disappointment, I found myself binging on foods I know are not so healthy for me. Why do you ask? I can't say I know for sure. the journey to your potential

We tend to move through our journey’s blindly. With our eyes on the prize. Not paying real attention to each step we are taking. Criticising ourselves for how we could have done things better. How much more we could have achieved in a shorter period of time. Questioning ourselves for something, that maybe we shouldn’t have done at all. Dismissing everything we experience that doesn't translate to an immediate win. Anything that isn’t “perfect”.

If it weren’t for the paths that we take on our journey, would we have achieved anything much at all? All the times that we have failed, contribute to our success. Every moment that we question ourselves, contributes to our success. Every moment that we chose to keeping going instead of giving up, contributes to our success. These things become our cheer squad. They become the very things that got us where we are. They are our evolution into something more than we would have expected. 

Consider a tennis player. They focus on every moment on their journey to winning a game. If they do not they will lose. Literally, if they take their eye off the ball for a moment. They miss an opportunity. If they are focused on the win, rather than the skill they need to exert. To watch the ball and return the ball succinctly. They waste an opportunity. They need to be aware of the ball, of their technique. So they can exert skill and adjust where necessary. It is how you win a tennis match. It is all in the journey. 

Had I not swallowed my fear and started recording videos. I would not have had the opportunity to learn more about myself. I would not have had the opportunity to learn how to be more myself on video. I would have forgone the opportunity to explore the platform altogether. That would have been a shame. I would have missed an opportunity. I would have limited the potential of myself, my business and the impact I want to have on the world. Simply by standing still. 

So that moment, in my ex-boyfriend’s study, where I was about to throw up in my mouth, not sure if I would pass out. Or if was simply better to run for the hills. That difficult and terrifying moment. Now becomes a moment where I succeeded. Where I chose to take an opportunity. If I hadn’t I wouldn’t be here now. And I would have missed the endless possibilities that I now have at my disposal. A new perspective of what can be achieved. 

Consider all those moments where you thought you couldn’t or wouldn’t? The moments that you did or didn’t? The chances you took that didn’t end up amazing to begin with? Look at them and see them for the catalysts they are to you achieving or better understanding what you do today. 

And now add them to your list of achievements.
