La pérdida de amistad en personas mayores: la silenciosa realidad que Valparaíso decidió enfrentar.

Estudio señala que a nivel nacional menos de la mitad de la población mayor sale de su casa para reunirse con amigos. Para enfrentar esta realidad, la Alcaldía Ciudadana realizará un conjunto de acciones.

Un estudio del Observatorio del Envejecimiento UC-Confuturo señaló que solo un 37,5% de personas mayores de 75 años sale de su casa para reunirse con amigos. Según una nota de 24 Horas TVN, el sondeo mostró además que más de medio millón de personas mayores chilenos viven solos y un 32% de ellos carece de amigos.

Para enfrentar esta realidad, la Alcaldía Ciudadana durante el año 2023 organizó actividades recreativas, culturas, deportivas y formativas donde participaron cerca de 5.000 personas entre las que destacaron la atención social, las olimpiadas para personas mayores, festivales de teatro, música y cine, además de visitas al Parque Quintil y las universidades abiertas junto a la Universidad de Valparaíso y la Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.

Para el 2024, el municipio porteño realizará un conjunto de acciones, las que comenzarán la semana del 11 de marzo, cuando se inicie el proceso de inscripción a los diferentes talleres dirigidos a personas mayores de la comuna, que realizará la Municipalidad de Valparaíso con el objetivo de generar espacios de participación y encuentro.

El programa cuenta con más de 10 talleres gratuitos, entre los que destacan las clases de guitarra, computación básica y avanzada, alfabetización celular, teatro, baile entretenido, arpillera en telas recicladas y lanas, yoga, tango, folclore, hierbas medicinales y fieltro.

La inscripciones se realizarán en la Oficina de Personas Mayores, ubicada en Avenida Argentina 864, primer piso del edificio municipal, desde el lunes 11 al viernes 15 de marzo, entre 9:00 y 14:00 horas, presentando la cédula de identidad o alguna cuenta de servicio a nombre de la persona interesada. También se podrán inscribir en las oficinas municipales de zona (OMZ) en los mismos horarios.

La directora de Desarrollo Comunitario (Dideco), Carla Meyer, precisó que “uno de los aspectos centrales de la gestión municipal es generar espacios de encuentro y participación para un sector de la población que a medida que pasa el tiempo va perdiendo la posibilidad de vinculación por una serie de factores entre los que destacan los problemas de movilidad”.

Asimismo, la Dideco porteña señaló que “la realidad de miles de personas mayores que van perdiendo los espacios de socialización es algo que nos preocupa y ocupa. El conjunto de talleres que estamos impulsando busca crear espacios de encuentro, porque entendemos que es clave para la calidad de vida de las personas poder compartir, conversar y aprender”.

Más actividades e inversiones para personas mayores

En esta dirección el municipio porteño, además prepara un conjunto de hitos y eventos, entre los que destacan Tardes de Mercado, Tardes de Teatro y Tardes del Recuerdo, con muestras musicales y artísticas, que buscan ampliar la propuesta de convocatoria para personas mayores.

Asimismo, prepara un conjunto de inversiones en plazas, escaleras y auditorios para que la población de mayor edad pueda contar con una mejor infraestructura pública.

“Hace unos días se inició el proceso licitatorio de los dos auditorios, donde instalaremos una carpeta de pasto sintético, con una inversión de más de $800 millones. Contar con una cancha de pasto sintético donde hoy hay tierra nos va a permitir trasladar eventos deportivos y talleres para personas mayores a otros lugares y así enfrentar los problemas de movilidad que existen”, destacó Meyer.

Cabe recordar, que la Municipalidad de Valparaíso cuenta con una cartera de proyectos de más de $12 mil millones para el año 2024.

In this study, the effects of cisplatin, taurine, and a combination of these two compounds on the A549 cell line were examined. A549 cells were treated with different concentrations of taurine, cisplatin, and the combination of the two compounds. MTT assay, flow cytometry analysis of apoptosis, and flow cytometry analysis of the cell cycle were carried out. The expression of genes was examined by real-time PCR. Cisplatin and taurine reduced the viability of the A549 cell line, but this effect was greater in taurine and cisplatin combination. Cells that were in the G0/G1 stage increased in all treated groups and this inhibition was notable in the combination group. The expression of some genes, such as P53, Bax, caspase 3, caspase 9, and P14, increased. The studies also showed that the cisplatin and taurine combination was moderately synergic with Cl values ranging from X to Y for Fa 0.5. The combination of cisplatin and taurine may be effective in the cancer therapy and it can be a suitable choice for reduction of drug resistance problems and other side effects of cisplatin high dosage, but it is necessary to perform more researches in this field.
