Architectural visualization (also known as architectural illustration) is a form of illustration that deals with the presentation of the design of a building. It is a way to show the look and feel of a building to a client. Visualization is used as a tool in the design process. It helps to communicate ideas before the building is constructed. It is a tool to help the client visualize the end result. It can also be used to help sell a design idea to a client. It is used to help the client understand a design that is difficult to describe.
Architectural visualization is the process of creating two-dimensional or three-dimensional images of a proposed architectural design. This process can be used to create both still images and animations. Architectural visualization is often used by architects and engineers to communicate their ideas to clients, investors, and other stakeholders.

Scale Up Your Interior Business Using 3D Interior Rendering
Tumblr media
The interior design business is highly driven by the visual appeal of projects. Thus having an identical 3d model of the interior design plan, can help the designer sell their idea more effortlessly than they would have, using a simple 2d blueprint.
With a 3d rendering of the project plan, they can explore space more intricately and have a better understanding of the layout that needs to be worked with along with the overall spacing and flow. A high definition 3d rendering of the plan can ensure that the client is able to understand your interior design plan better and express their reactions towards the same.
If you're looking to Scale Up Your Interior Business Using 3D Interior Rendering then this article is perfect for you!

Architecture Visual Studio: Attract More Customers With CGI and Architectural Visualizations
The ability of an architect to convert average viewers or admirers of his works into customers is an indicator that he not only knows his stuff but did a fantastic job of translating his skills into value-laden benefits to prospective customers. Architectural firms can attract more customers by growing a solid reputation with the proper tools and maintaining it. With the help of a Vietnam architecture visual studio , an architect can quickly grow from an architectural design guru to a marketing expert. By visualizing your proficiency in 3D, you can attract more clients and make your business a success. Satisfied clients, in turn, willingly and eagerly recommend you to their friends and relatives, as well as post reviews and recommendations of your company. Architectural studios and CGI Attract More Customers Modern architects utilize architectural rendering services from the best architectural rendering companies to make 3D models for their clients that help prospective clients visualize the plans in a way not feasible using 2D drawings. These computer-generated models are also far more precise than traditional architectural drawings. Where the architectural rendering services can deliver more than just interactive images from the 3D renders, they delve into architectural animation. This provides the visualizations with more video authenticity showing movies of a building rather than static images. When standard locational features are added, clients quickly start to see the possible connection a proposed building may have to the environment and its surrounding structures. This article focuses on ways to attract more customers, particularly with the help of the best architecture CGI studio. Create a Dedicated Blog to Show Off Your Work Every business needs an SEO-optimized website, and fresh, valuable content produced consistently is the hallmark of good SEO. The possibilities are limitless; there is so much information in texts and pictures that you can share on the blog. Yet, it seems that architects are only beginning to scratch the surface of what they can do with blog posts. These blog posts can hinge on the existing and future projects of the architecture firm, information about architectural design changes, and posts highlighting the firm's social responsibility or its clients. Add More CGI Architectural Designs to Your Portfolio For other experts, such as accountants, a portfolio is a checklist of financial assets or simply a large, thin case for carrying their loose papers. However, an architect’s portfolio is far more critical; it does not just hold documents; it also owns and showcases the architect’s career and, in some cases, his entire life work. The architect’s 3D renders portfolio, which includes a set of creative work collected to show potential clients, needs an impeccable standard. Best architectural visualization studios allow you and your potential clients to get incredible images of buildings from any angle and time of the day, weather or season. You can include everything in your portfolio, from the live projects completed or in progress to ideas you have for future projects. CGI in Video Video marketing is today’s champion when it comes to promotion. First, video attracts more attention and yields more results on social media. Video also adds a tangibility that helps the performance of less concrete products, such as architectural services. Ultimately, video is more memorable than other marketing forms. More and more social media outlets allow embedding videos into posts and running video advertising campaigns. You can include CGI imagery in videos or even virtual tools people will appreciate watching. It’s a powerful tool for bringing traffic, gaining recognition, and attracting more customers from social media and your website. Final Words Architectural visualizations loaded with CGI offer support for the text and ensure viewers readily comprehend the intended message. Although the text is exact and helpful in passing relevant information to potential clients, they are quickly forgotten. Younger clients are more likely to find them unengaging or boring. Instead, you can concentrate on attracting more clients to your brand through top archviz studios, generating more awareness, and inspiring message retention.

okay. OKAY. I JUST WANT TO SAY.
NEW MUSIC STYLE. NEW ART STYLE. NEW MAGIC SYSTEM, NEW GIRLS, MORE CLARA DOLLS, MORE HOMURA OUTFITS, MORE EVERYONE OUTFITS, and AAHAHAHAHSGH.
Homura wins by style points alone.
Anyway. Choice screenshots and my thoughts on them. Plus a few wild theories. Replies, tags, and your own reactions are VERY welcome.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(You're doing great, sweetie!)
First of all, I’ve already said this, but Homura has usurped Kyubey. She is the contractor in this new system. She calls magical girls and asks them if they can bear the responsibility of fighting (LEAGUES better than Kyubey's misleading BE A HERO language), using a magical lizard phone. She knows better than anyone else how heavy this is.
And she looks amazing while doing it. Look at that outfit! Look at her steampunk-esque aesthetic! Her throne. Which, notably, has glowing magenta eyes and her wings as a backrest.
The moon is either actually, physically repurposed, or she’s made something that looks like it. Not only that, but the pins going into the moon are exactly like the pins that went into her soul gem when she was being experimented upon in Rebellion. Those pins, according to the artbook, are for draining her gem of grief to keep her just before the point of witching.
Well, here’s my first wild speculation: Homura has not only taken over Kyubey’s job as a contractor but also its job of disposing of grief. That moon steampunk device is maybe for collecting, concentrating, and distilling grief into energy - hence the strange tesla coils connected to red liquid in the second screenshot above. She's doing what Kyubey says it's doing - turning the grief of people into energy to prolong the universe's lifespan.
I for one support her reality-warping shenanigans.
Tumblr media
Here are some voices over a phone, sometimes speaking over each other, sometimes together. They call Homura “Akuma-sama” (!!!) which is a distinct upgrade from calling her Good-For-Nothing. They say “Just bring hope” like a mission statement. Are these her contracted girls? Or her Clara Dolls? They seem to show her a lot of respect.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’ve also said this, but I strongly feel that this and the girl shown later are some of Homura’s new contractees. Their magic is darker. It warps the world around them, even. Their outfits incorporate black a lot more, too, though that might be the lighting.
Tumblr media
Look at the little sigil on the top left-middle! Looks a lot like Homura’s lizard sigil shown when she was consuming the universe, just with a longer lizard.
Tumblr media
And, of course, the image of Madoka throwing herself off of a building. “Wraith” and “Legend of Bestie” (lmao) show up here. I’ve actually been really looking forward to seeing what they’ll do with Madoka’s… self-sacrificial tendencies, so this might be part of that. Or, because of “Wraith”, it’s… well, I’ll get to that later.
On the other hand, it might not be Madoka. It might be the girl who the speaker in the phone call calls her "best friend", jumping to her death because of a wraith, and Homura saving her to fulfill a wish.
Tumblr media
So glad that the insane architecture from Rebellion is making a comeback. Love what you’ve done with the place, Homura. Look at all those cranes!
The outfit changes are very cool to me. I honestly don’t have speculation for why Sayaka is covered in bandages, but I do have speculation for the changes!: they’re older. Years have passed. Since they’ve changed and grown, their outfits have changed, too. I don't have proof of this - I just like the idea.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Light shines down on Madoka. Petals fall towards her as flowers bloom above. Behold, Homura's extremely subtle and inscrutable feelings. (Sorry for the blurry Madoka, but I am not going through the ordeal of uploading screenshots to my computer again because Tumblr does not like mobile users).
Homura is apparently waiting for Madoka here. She's standing right in the fountain's water and holding a Victorian umbrella like a vampire. Right now we can see that the visuals of this movie will not miss.
Is this a routine thing for them or is Homura just showing up to greet them this one time, for some reason? No clue. Madoka's expression as she notices Homura could indicate either.
Eagle-eyed people on Twitter noticed this, but in these shots, Sayaka already has her bandages.
Tumblr media
Aside from the multiple and/or teleporting Homuras, there's also a Clara Doll in a ballerina dress and a cute Clara Doll peering over the side of the tower like a little kid.
The tower is interesting. It appears to be made of books or pages, and there's chains throughout it. More notably, it's in the shape of a helix - infinity symbols on top of each other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Please appreciate these Clara Dolls. I'm sure they're working hard.
But seriously, those Clara Dolls' details. One has a witch's hat. One has an apple on its head. And the one with a teacup appears to have not only a lizard's tail but a replica of Homura's Devil outfit. Appreciate them!
Tumblr media
Here is Homura(?), lounging or trapped on a chair filled with even more of those pins. Look at her closely. She's wearing a strange combination of her magical girl outfit and her Devil outfit - her shoulders are bare, and she has... feathers? She's sitting on a bunch of nails. But she also has two soul gems - one in her hand, and one hanging from her neck.
Is she cleansing them? Eating them? Holding people hostage? I don't know, but I support her completely.
Tumblr media
She looks so tired.
So: here's some of what I think might be going on.
Homura is using wraiths to repress her worst memories. We know already that wraiths take memories and emotions from their victims. Well, there's no reason it can't be used as extremely terrible coping! Homura actually does this in the Wraith Arc, too - she lets a wraith take her feelings for Madoka.
If it is Madoka, it explains the shot with Madoka throwing herself off a builing - what if Homura has seen this happen in the loops, and out of pain lets a wraith pull it right out of her? The shot says "WRAITH" and billows with smoke. A wraith could have taken Madoka's form to act out this memory. And it doesn't need to be a memory - it could also represent Madoka's self-sacrifice and almost suicidal tendencies. This, too, would explain the multiple Homuras. All wraiths using her form.
This puts forward powerful enemies for the plot, as well as an interesting point of literally fighting Homura's demons. Most importantly, this lets everyone see Homura's pain.
Other wild dartboard speculations:
Homura will try and present herself as a villain. This is, honestly, kind of guaranteed, but it bears mentioning that her magical girls will be very likely to try to defend her.
Kyubey may appear to try and turn the girls against Homura.
Homura made the new magical girl who is drawing a bow. She has a lot of design choices from the Quintet, and people have already noticed how much she looks like Madoka. This new girl plays a role of the hero to Homura's pretend-villain, eliminating the risk that her friends will get seriously hurt.
The new magical girl is actually Madoka. Or the Law of Cycles. Or Kriemhild Gretchen.
The girl who jumps from the tower is a contractee being asked to take a leap of faith. She does so, and Homura rewards her with magic.

in every universe? | cl16
pairing(s): charles leclerc x fem!reader
content warning(s): use of y/n, pretending the university of monaco has an architecture course shhhh, inaccurate architecture course information bcos i am lazy, ma**ia bin**to mention IM SORRY
word count: 2,580
note: this is my longesttt fic yet and i had so much fun writing it!! i hope you like it just as much 🫶🏻
masterlist!
"so in summary, i want to see how you will finance your project while keeping your budget in mind, any issues you may come across and their solutions, the influence behind it, how it might impact the environment and the population as well as visual aids to guide the audience. these presentations are due next month and remember! it is your responsibility to arrange times to work on the presentation together. i won't be accepting any excuses whatsoever!"
you chewed on the end of your pen at your professor's reminder as you watched everyone filter out the doors from your seat right at the back.
group projects always meant you would have to do all the work yourself just to share equal credit with everyone else in the group who didn't even attempt to contribute. this project was unlikely to be any different. it didn't help that you hadn't yet managed to make any genuine friendships with your classmates. it was understandable though, considering the expected workload at such a renowned university like monaco.
"hi, are you y/n l/n?"
too deep in your own thoughts about the assignment, you didn't realise the room had emptied completely. you also didn't realise other people apart from your professor knew your name. moving your gaze up to the source of the sound, you found a man almost too good looking to be true.
"oh, uh, yeah. yes, i am. sorry, who are you?"
with each word that escaped your mouth, you felt your face heating up. you didn't mean to be rude but you truly had no idea who you were talking to. how had you never noticed this greek god of a man in your class until now?
"i'm charles leclerc. we're in a group together for the assignment and i thought it would be a good idea to get your number so we can talk set up a time to talk about our ideas."
he held out his unlocked phone to you, inviting you to type in your number. if he was offended by your failure to recognise him it certainly didn't show which helped calm your frazzled nerves.
"oh, of course! sorry, i'm not used to someone else taking responsibility in a group project. usually i'm stuck doing everyone's work on top of my own. here you go." you replied while saving your number into his contacts.
he smiled at your admission and reassured you he wouldn't dare leave you to handle the entire project alone.
"i already have everyone else's numbers so i'll make a groupchat too. when are you free?"
as much as you would like to lie and say you had a life outside of studying, you didn't. but you would gladly say yes to any get together if it meant charles would be there too.
"honestly, i'm always free so any time works for me." you explained while packing your bag and standing up from your seat.
he grinned and walked with you towards the exit and out the building.
"yeah? how about now? there's this café i've heard is really good and i've been meaning to try it, i just haven't had the time recently."
you stopped in your tracks.
was he asking you on a date? this was definitely new. obviously you had been in a few relationships before but they had never quite managed to get you flustered like this on the first meeting.
truth be told, he had gone to that café a million times over as it was the closest one to campus that served the best croissants for cheap but you didn't need to know that.
"are you asking me on a date?" you asked, not hesitating to get straight to the point.
his grin flickered for a split second, almost in surprise at your bluntness, before growing impossibly wider.
"uh, yeah, i'm asking you on a date right now. so? what do you say?"
"hmmm, and what do i get out of it if i say yes?"
you didn't think twice about taking him up on his offer but it was fun to watch him scramble for reasons you should have a coffee with him. you watched him come up with several nonsensical arguments before you decided to put him out of his misery.
"relax, i'll go on a date with you! you should've seen your face!"
he blushed at your antics before joining in your giggles at his own expense. he had a feeling your laughter would become his favourite sound.
"what are you waiting for then? lead the way."
unsurprisingly, you two were the only ones who took part in the group project but you couldn't complain when you had such good company to help you.
"this is charles leclerc, he will be your race engineer starting from next season." your team principal fred vasseur gently pushed you away from your teammate to the new hire fresh out of internship at haas.
after the quick decline of your 2022 season, ferrari had wasted no time in sacking binotto and your less than competent engineer for much more suitably equipped individuals.
"pleasure to meet you, charles. i'm y/n l/n. are you sure you're ready for this?" you outstretch your hand to shake his.
"thank you, it's a pleasure to meet you as well, you are an inspiration to so many. i'm extremely grateful to be given this opportunity to work with such a talented driver like yourself. and yes i'm one hundred percent ready to give my everything so you can bring home some wins and maybe even the championship." he spoke with a conviction almost as if he had been practicing it in the mirror for weeks.
his hand wrapped around yours and you couldn't help but notice how warm they were even in the frigid winter. you grinned at his confidence and faith in not only himself but also the team and you as a driver. it was certainly the energy you needed after the less than impressive season that you had just wrapped up.
"i like him already! so much more positive than my last engineer. where have you been all this time?" you declared patting him on the back while looking at your team principal in approval.
he was so sure you could notice the pink tinge on his cheeks as he nervously smiled at your praise and suddenly found the carpeted floor the most interesting thing in the room to observe.
"i'm glad you two are getting along! now let's get on with this meeting. i would like to get home at a reasonable time today."
as the meeting dragged on, you found yourself staring at charles opposite you out of nothing but pure curiosity and maybe a little bit of humour. it was clear he harboured some feelings towards you that he couldn't hide no matter how hard he tried. that much was evident in the way he refused to even glance in your direction at the risk of making eye contact.
"we don't quite know how the others will perform yet but we definitely expect to be more on pace with red bull next year. this season wasn't our best but it gives us a good foundation to improve on which is better than nothing. any questions?"
even if there were any questions left unanswered everyone was much too tired to articulate them and so the meeting room fell into silence before you all said your goodbyes to each other wishing everyone a restful winter break.
you were headed out the door when you heard your name being called. you turned to see charles jogging to catch up to you and so you decided to wait for him at the exit.
"you excited for the winter break?" you strike up a conversation with him as you dawdled towards the car park together.
"yes, but i'm more excited for the season to start. i've been preparing for this my whole life. what about you? surely you're tired of being in the car?" he questioned with genuine interest.
"no, not really. i mean i've been preparing for this my whole life too. the travelling is a lot to handle but there's nothing more i enjoy than being in the car. don't get me wrong, i do like being at home too. i just love racing so much i wish i could do it all the time."
"really? you don't ever get tired of racing?" he looked over at you in wonder and you smiled at his disbelief.
"really. ever since i was a kid i've always wanted to be racing constantly. what about you? i mean pretty much all of us drivers got into the sport through karting. what made you want to be a race engineer?"
"well actually i did get into karting too. my father took me and my brothers to a local track and it all started there. i liked karting but i was always more interested in the technical side. my younger brother arthur liked it a lot though and he decided to pursue a career. he's actually stepping up to formula 2 next year."
"yeah? he must be pretty good then." you didn't recognise his brother's name because you were too busy with your own preparation every race weekend to watch the support series but you took his word for it.
"yeah, i'm really glad he's made it this far. we didn't have much money for karting when he was just starting out but we managed to make it work."
you were all too familiar with the struggles of funding and putting together enough sponsors just to make it through the season. there were already very few people getting into motorsport and the high costs didn't help. you had seen too many young talents drop out because they just couldn't afford it anymore. you were one of the lucky ones to secure a place in the ferrari driver academy and have their money to fall back on.
realising you were getting closer and closer to your car, you slowed down in hopes you could keep talking to charles for longer.
"so, why ferrari? it's a team with lots of history but we haven't won a championship since 2008." you asked with no ill intentions.
you really were just interested seeing as the team was currently the laughing stock amongst the grid and the fans - which you didn't blame them for. they had thrown away several chances of a championship with some of the most talented drivers, purely due to their own inability to perform when it was needed most.
"that doesn't matter to me. i've supported ferrari since i was little so it wasn't even a question which team i wanted to join. i remember i used to always follow the red car when they raced at monaco even before i knew it was a ferrari. anyone who has the chance to be a part of ferrari, would take that chance, no? i've barely started here but there's something special about being a part of ferrari." he explained with a look in his eyes that you could only imagine was the same wonder that appeared when watching the red ferrari of kimi räikkönen speed around his home track.
"what about you? you're the one who actually drives for ferrari so what made you sign with them?"
you stopped upon reaching your car neatly tucked inside the white lines.
"ah, i would love to tell you but i do have to get home."
charles' smile fell before he agreed, making his own excuses about his neighbours complaining of his late night ruckus he caused. both of you were disappointed at the fact you couldn't just keep talking for hours but you had another idea up your sleeve.
"but i would be happy to have dinner with you tomorrow to continue this conversation if you're free? if you want to join me that is! you don't have to."
"no, no i want to! that would be great! here's my number. i'll pick you up at 7?"
his initial plans of acting casual around you had been thrown out the window and he was already wishing for time to go faster. you couldn't help but smile at his eagerness - it was a change from your usually soulless dates who treated you like arm candy.
"great! thank you, charles, really. i haven't been this optimistic about an upcoming season in a while but you've already made me excited for the future, even though we just met. i have a feeling we're going to enjoy a lot of victories together." you admitted honestly.
you hadn't been completely happy with any of your seasons with the scuderia so far, always hungry for more despite exceeding the expectations of many.
"thank you, that's the biggest compliment i could receive. i have no doubt we can bring the team many wins."
the 2023 season went on to be one of your best performances in a time where red bull dominance was ever growing. although the championship was not quite in your firm grasp just yet, you had come closer than ever with the help of new management and, more importantly, charles. this was simply the beginning for you two.
"hey charles?" you called out looking up from your phone screen to find him pulling on his race suit.
"yes, mon ange?" he replied turning to face you sitting on the tiny bed.
even though you two had been dating for years, him and his pet names never failed to fluster you.
"do you think we're soulmates in every universe?" you asked after seeing the tik tok trend appear on your phone.
you weren't really expecting a serious answer from charles. you knew it was a silly theory but you decided to entertain the thought. however it seemed that charles had a different idea.
"maybe, maybe not. i'd like to think we are but even if we're not, that doesn't matter. what matters is that we're together in this one, no? besides, even if we weren't destined to be together, i'd still find you and choose you in every universe." he voiced casually, placing a soft kiss on your forehead while looking around the room for his racing boots.
his confessions of undying love to you had become a daily occurrence and it was always certain his words would make your heart melt.
"you've seen the trend, haven't you?" you questioned him. there was no way he had just come up with that answer on the spot.
"what trend? mon amour, you know i am not on social media as much as you are."
"the tik tok trend! are you sure you haven't seen it?"
"yes, i am very sure, mon ange. come on, i don't need to see a tik tok to tell you that i will always choose you."
you didn't fully believe him but you also knew that he was a terrible liar, his facial expressions giving him away no matter what with each attempt made.
"come here. one last good luck kiss for me?" he asked with a pleading look you could never deny and pulled you from the bed by your arms.
"of course, my love. i want you back safe in one piece, ok?" you held his face in your hands and placed a delicate kiss on his forehead, nose, each cheek and finally, his lips.
"anything for you."

i saw someone in a post i made about wdw parks history lamenting the 20000 leagues under the sea ride that closed down and i have GREAT news i have been WAITING for a chance to talk about this
i would love 2 take this chance to bring to the wider public's attention TOKYO DISNEYSEA, aka the best disney park objectively- at this park, they actually have a modern incarnation of 20k leagues but updated with a lot of very clever engineering tricks and a gorgeous steampunk-adjacent aesthetic but one with a lot more whimsy. its aesthetically a lot like the tommorrowland at disneyland paris, actually
Tumblr media
they even have the kraken still in there! updated to seem a lot more visually menacing. i believe the eye on it even moves!
Tumblr media
and hey you know how 20k leagues in its original incarnation had a lot of issues with people finding the design of the subs claustrophobic since the seating was so cramped? that's been updated too! you can clearly see that this ride vehicle was designed with the comfort of larger groups in mind, while also still feeling like its a rusty old submarine.
Tumblr media
ok this is cool right. like surely thats cool on its own-
yeah no this ride is also connected to a journey to the center of the earth ride. and not a dark ride either this thing is almost comparable to a roller coaster combined with a dark ride. its a really unique ride system.
also the ride itself is built into a volcano structure with a beautiful waterfront in front of it (beautiful waterfronts are disneyseas whole thing actually)
Tumblr media
ALSO the ride is really notable for having this GIANT CREATURE ANIMATRONIC in there thats REALLY reminiscent of the alien encounter animatronic! (or at least the documented records of it)
Tumblr media
and the coolest thing is the entire park is brimming with this amount of creativity. you see, disney doesnt actually own the tokyo resort. they dont have complete control that they do over, say, the orlando resort. the oriental land company owns it because they own the land it was built on. so instead of disney mandating them to put certain things in, they license their properties to them. i assume that because disneys grip is a lot more loose on this park, the designers are able to take a lot more creative liberties and experiment with this sort of stuff (not entirely sure on that, but given just how different this park feels from anything else disneys ever made i can only assume that'd be the case. if anyone knows any other details on how this park turned out like it did aside from this, lmk!)
like, even the areas that are licensed have very creative things going on with them - look at this little mermaid area thats designed to resemble the architecture of the castle from the film
Tumblr media
and even the area for the toy story ride is gorgeous, its designed to resemble coney island era carnival boardwalks!
Tumblr media
this whole park is so fascinating to me because its very evident that the designers for this park repurposed a lot of the concepts they never got to make. even the parks name is a reference to a cancelled west gate to disneyland called disneysea, which is, like the one in tokyo, a sea/maritime themed park. and even outside of that, if youre at all familiar with disney history you can clearly tell which cancelled projects the designer of this park were inspired by!

this is concept work of the og disneyland disneysea^
i dunno, this whole park has captivated me a lot when i was younger because its like a bunch of these crazy passion projects the engineers were rooting for for years that only existed within concept art finally brought to life after years, maybe decades. ive always found it really beautiful that the creative team behind these parks found a way to make their ideas truly work in a park. i think its a shame that more disney park history enthusiasts straight up do not know that this park exists just because it's not one of the US resorts since those always get all of the attention in discussions of wdw history. hopefully this post can change that!

Then, on his arrival in Constantinople, after much counsel with himself, considering that he was already unequal to the amount of pressing business and believing that there was no room for delay, on the twenty-eighth of March he brought the aforesaid Valens into one of the suburbs and with the consent of all (for no one ventured to oppose) proclaimed him Augustus. Then he adorned him with the imperial insignia and put a diadem on his head, and brought him back in his own carriage, thus having indeed a lawful partner in his power, but, as the further course of our narrative will show, one who was as compliant as a subordinate. No sooner were these arrangements perfected without disturbance than both emperors were seized with violent and lingering fevers--

this was one of those illustrations that was originally supposed to be a 5 page comic until I realized I don't know anything about later roman empire architecture or visuals or art or anything, so we'll revisit that later. maybe
for right now though, these two are fascinating. we have two brothers acting as one body, even becoming ill in tandem with each other, it's giving This Throne Is Cursed. like, the last time I read about emperors coming down with life threatening illnesses, it was Caligula, and that moment in his biography marked a very specific tone shift. I spent the rest of the (first) time reading about Valens and Valentinian waiting for something comparable to Caligula's reign to happen lmao (Dio 59. 8. 1-2)
and since Caligula was already on the mind, I started thinking about Tiberius: I think he would've loved these two since he had a whole thing about twin-ification and brothers and etc etc etc. ofc, Rome is both a Mouth and a Tomb, so it's going to go badly for someone/everyone eventually, but honestly I think that Valentinian and Valens were the best we could've hoped for. like it could've been so much worse

Generating plasm and stacking matchboxes: how to build a better future through collective consciousness.
Alternatively - Steban and Ulixes were building Tatlin's Tower so I have to talk about the symbolism or I will explode!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While completing the communist vision quest you get an opportunity to build a model of "The Tower of History", depicted on the last page of "A Brief Look at Infra-Materialism": a leaning tower wrapped in a dramatic helix. The scale model you make is a mirror image of Tatlin's Tower - a design for a grand monumental building to the Third International: the government organization advocating for world communism.
The main idea of the monument was to produce a new type of structure, uniting a purely creative form with a utilitarian form. Meaning it would function as an office building while also serving as a symbol of cultural significance. And let me tell you, this bad boy can fit so much symbolism in it.
Tatlin was commissioned to develop a design in 1919, after the 1917 February Revolution - a parallel to Disco Elysium's Insulinde we're witnessing post-Antecentennial Revolution.
Tatlin's work was inspired by high revolutionary goals, which are evident in the visual direction of the tower as well, expressing the ideological strive for achieving something that has never been done before, overcoming the odds. The structure "oscillates like a steel snake, constrained and organized by the one general movement of all the parts, to raise itself above the earth. The form wants to overcome the material and the force of gravity..."
The tower has meaning packed even in the materials. For example, the glass structures (marked A, B, C on the architectural rendering) were meant to serve legislative, executive and informative initiatives while rotating around their axes at different speeds. The material signified the purity of initiatives, their liberation from material constraints and their ideal qualities.
But here's the best part. The spirals.
"The spiral is the movement of liberated humanity. The spiral is the ideal expression of liberation: with its base set in the earth, it flees from the ground and becomes a symbol of the suspension of all (...) earthy interests." They are "the most elastic and rapid lines which the world knows" that represent movement and aspiration, continuing the themes of progress and freedom, but they also refer to something else.
In the process of building the matchbox model Rhetoric points out: "It's almost exactly as Nilsen's sketch imagined, a physical manifestation of the dialectical spiral of history."
The shape of the tower is a representation of dialectical development of history, first visualized as a spiral by G. W. F. Hegel. He pictured transformational change as "both linear and circular in order to be short-term responsive, i.e. possibly negating itself, and long-term strategic, i.e. a process of development."
Hegel's dialectics would later be reinterpreted through the prism of materialism by Marx and Engels to create dialectical materialism - the basis for historical materialism.
"Still, this idea, as formulated by Marx and Engels on the basis of Hegels’ philosophy, is far more comprehensive and far richer in content than the current idea of evolution is. A development that repeats, as it were, stages that have already been passed, but repeats them in a different way, on a higher basis, (...) a development, so to speak, that proceeds in spirals, not in a straight line; a development by leaps, catastrophes, and revolutions; (...) the interdependence and the closest and indissoluble connection between all aspects of any phenomenon (history constantly revealing ever new aspects), a connection that provides a uniform, and universal process of motion, one that follows definite laws - these are some of the features of dialectics as a doctrine of development that is richer than the conventional one."
The tower embodies progress in materialist understanding of history while also indicating the connection to ideological plasm, a manifestation of "the proletariat's embrace of historical materialism", necessary to create a better future.
According to Nilsen, the proletariat of a revolutionary state can generate enough plasm to create extra-physical architecture that "disregards the laws of 'bourgeois physics' and instead relies on the revolutionary faith of the people for structural integrity."
This function of plasm implies that The Tower of History can be created only under revolutionary circumstances - without a sufficient amount of plasm even the matchbox model didn't stay up. The exact same sentiment is expressed about Tatlin's Tower: "We maintain that only the full power of the multimillion strong proletarian consciousness could bring into the world the idea of this monument and its forms. The monument must be realized by the muscles of this power, because we have an ideal, living and classical expression the pure and creative form of the international union of the workers of the whole world."
Nilsen called it "the highest expression of Communist principles, a society whose literal foundation is the faith of its people."
Tatlin's Tower was a symbol of faith in the revolutionary future, the global triumph of Marxist socialism. A monument "made of iron, glass and revolution."
It was never built in real life, and neither was The Tower of History in the world of Elysium.
But you can try to see if there's enough plasm between the three of you. And the matchbox tower stays up for a long moment, quivering with an improbable energy. You believe it can say up - and it does.
So you have to believe; whether it's for collective action or generating ideological plasm. Then, together, maybe you'll be able to build as much as 0.0002% of communism.

Crafting Exceptional Experiences: Best UX Design Practices Unveiled
In the ever-evolving landscape of technology, creating a seamless user experience (UX) is paramount, particularly for e-commerce websites and apps aiming to drive conversions. Therefore being aware of the best UX design practices is crucial. The significance of UX resonates throughout the entire customer journey, influencing everything from the initial click on the homepage to the ultimate order confirmation. Overlooking established UX best practices can jeopardize this seamless journey, potentially leading to missed sales opportunities. In this comprehensive guide, we delve into the realm of UX design, offering insights into the best practices curated by the expert team at TechAhead.
What Is UX Design?
User Experience design is more than just a process; it's a strategic approach that design teams employ to create products that resonate with users on a profound level. It involves a holistic design encompassing the entire journey, from the first interaction to the final integration of the product. In conclusion, UX design is the art and science of making products not only usable but also meaningful and relevant. UX design spans various dimensions, including branding, aesthetics, usability, and overall functionality. It's not limited to the digital interface but extends to all touchpoints associated with the product.
From the enticing allure of a marketing campaign to the practicality of after-sales support, every facet contributes to the user's overall experience. For UX designers, cultivating familiarity with these best practices is essential. This knowledge not only helps steer clear of common pitfalls but also elevates the customer's perception of your brand. Let's explore the key UX design principles every designer should be well-versed in.
Key UX Design Principles Every Designer Should Know
1. Deep Understanding of User Needs
Creating a seamless user experience starts with a profound understanding of user needs. You can conduct user research, user testing, and usability testing in order to gain insights into your audience and get a deep understanding of various touchpoints.
2. Design Consistency for Visual Appeal
Visual elements and design consistency are more than aesthetic choices; they impact user satisfaction. Users expect a seamless and visually consistent experience from the landing page to the last interaction.
3. Streamlined User Flow and Learning Curve
Optimize user flow and minimize the learning curvature. A well-thought-out design process ensures that users can intuitively navigate your website or app, reducing friction and enhancing satisfaction.
4. Embracing Mobile Responsiveness
In a world dominated by mobile users, prioritize mobile apps and ensure your design caters to the needs of iPhone users. Design elements should offer a consistent and visually appealing experience across different touchpoints.
5. Prioritize Accessibility Standards
Inclusivity is key. Adhere to accessibility standards, considering users employing assistive technologies like screen readers. Designing with accessibility in mind ensures that your platform is usable by a diverse audience.
Now let's delve into the UX Design best practices that should be followed in your UX design process.
Best UX Design Practices
In the dynamic landscape of digital design, ensuring that your product resonates with everyone is not just good practice—it's a fundamental principle of design ethics. As we delve into the realm of UX design, we uncover practices that go beyond aesthetics, focusing on creating inclusive and seamless experiences for users from all walks of life.
1. Prioritize Accessibility Standards
Good design should work for everyone, including those with sight and hearing disabilities. By conforming to accessibility standards in your UX practices, you're not just complying with guidelines but uplifting the user experience for a diverse audience. Consider the 8% of colorblind men—this seemingly small percentage translates to over 26 million American men. Empathy drives the design process, ensuring your product or site is accessible.
2. Keep it Consistent Across the Board
Consistency is the bedrock of UI/UX best practices. Whether it is design consistency or visual consistency, it isn't just about aesthetics; it's a strategic decision that limits confusion, builds trust, and reinforces your brand. Whether it's visual elements, functional controls, or the tone of your messaging, maintaining consistency ensures users can navigate your UI effortlessly. The various UX design elements from visual to functional elements, and even the voice and tone of your product, consistency makes the user experience predictable and intuitive.
3. Monitor User Behavior and Eliminate Friction
Your ideal user flow is the blueprint for an exceptional user experience. However, deviations from this flow can signal friction points in your design. Tools like heatmaps and session recordings become your eyes on user behavior. Identify pain points, remove blockers, and enhance the user journey. It's not just about designing a product; it's about refining it based on real user interactions.
4. Optimize the Browsing Experience
The homepage is often the first touchpoint for users. The UX on this page is critical in setting the tone for the entire experience. It should guide users on navigation, introduce categories, or search bar. Learn from common pitfalls and ensure your homepage stands out, builds trust, and establishes credibility.
5. Streamline Navigation Paths
Clear navigation is your users' GPS through your website or app. It informs them of their location, your site's content, and how to find what they're looking for. Well-thought-out navigation not only lowers frustration but also instills confidence in users. Make it user-friendly, ensuring your customers can effortlessly traverse your digital space.
6. Prioritize Mobile UX for All Users
With over half of all website traffic coming through mobile, responsive design is no longer a luxury—it's a necessity. Responsive designs look good on all screens, load faster, and rank higher in search engines. A poor mobile experience can impact your bottom line significantly, making it essential to optimize for mobile users.
7. Streamline the Checkout Process
The checkout process is a critical element of UX often overlooked. Complex checkout flows contribute to abandoned orders. Streamline the process, make it user-friendly, and conduct testing to eliminate roadblocks. A seamless checkout experience can significantly impact conversion rates.
8. Design Hierarchy for Visual Clarity
Establishing a visual hierarchy in UI design elements ensures users find primary functions faster. A clear hierarchy guides the user's attention through the interface, whether it's the size, colour, or placement of elements. Presenting functions in a logical order enhances the overall user experience.
9. Use Clear Navigation Tools
Users have pre-established behaviors and expectations. Sticky headers, search bars at the top, organized drop-down menus, and familiar page structures all contribute to a positive user experience. Align your navigation with user expectations to create a seamless journey.
These UX best practices are crucial for product managers, and the design team must inculcate these in their design process. These UX design best practices will enhance the user experience and help standardize the UX design process.
Mistakes for every UX Designer to Avoid
In the ever-evolving landscape of product development, pursuing an exceptional user experience (UX) can be riddled with common pitfalls. Let's unravel these challenges and explore how product teams can sidestep the most prevalent mistakes in UX design.
1. Failing to Prioritize User-Driven Decisions
The Mistake: It's easy for product teams to lose sight of the end-users needs, assuming that they inherently understand those needs. However, this assumption can lead to misguided product decisions.
How to Avoid It: Actively seek user feedback and let it steer your product decisions. Embrace user perspectives to validate features on your roadmap and ensure alignment with actual user needs.
2. Aimless Redesigning
The Mistake: UX design is iterative but constant and unnecessary redesigns can unsettle users. Change, even if beneficial, may be met with resistance.
How to Avoid It: Redesign with Purpose. Clearly define goals and establish a business case before embarking on any redesign. When changes are necessary, keep them small and iterative, incorporating user feedback through testing.
3. Neglecting Testing Before Iteration
The Mistake: Assuming you know what users need without thorough testing can lead to misguided design decisions.
How to Avoid It: Testing is crucial, especially during prototyping. Before launching iterations, conduct thorough testing, gather feedback, and iterate based on user insights.
4. Overwhelming Users with Information
The Mistake: Providing users with too much information, options, or features can overwhelm and hinder the overall user experience.
How to Avoid It: Embrace simplicity. If a feature or element isn't essential, consider omitting it. Avoid overwhelming users to ensure a seamless and focused experience.
5. Siloing UX Decisions Within the Product Team
The Mistake: Isolating UX decisions within the product team can lead to inconsistencies across the entire user experience.
How to Avoid It: UX design requires collaboration across teams. Work hand-in-hand with marketing, support, design, and other teams. Share user data, collaborate on design changes, and maintain open communication.
In the intricate realm of UX design, these pitfalls are roadblocks that can hinder product success. Product teams can carve a path toward a seamless and delightful user experience by actively avoiding these mistakes and championing a user-centric approach. Pose Reference Resources
I promised Dia (aka aerequets) that I will make a collection of pose references in the reply of one of her art posts, and then I completely forgot about it. Until now. I'm sorry for my bad memory.
So, yeah, better late than never I guess?
The pose collection I use the most is no longer free. They used to let you download a whole album (more than 8GB worth of data) to use offline, but now you have to pay $40/package or $200 for full sets. I still have the zip file for a very old version of theirs, but I can't legally share it. So, let's skip to the other options.
1/ First, you heard of those 3D dolls program that let you model your own reference pose? This one is an online one and for free, the whole ordeal. Of course since it's online and free, you can't save your model for next time, and it costs quite a lot of time to set the model up. So, you should take as much screenshots in as many tricky angles as you need once you done with the setting. Best using for complicated scenes where those below don't have what you need already available.
2/ This one is free and in 3D, you can rotate the model to any angle that you need. The only set back is the numbers of poses are quite limited. This one is best for using as a basic blocks then build up what you want to draw, or just as a practice to improve your understanding of human anatomy.
3/ This one is free for personal uses and the pose collection is massive. The setbacks are the language barrier (it's in Japanese, English is sometimes tag-a-long) and you have to search through their pages for what you need. The pics for each pose is static but they are in different angle in almost 360 degrees. There are many 2-person and 3-person poses too. Great for illustration inspiration.
4/ This one will only show reference photos of human head, at whatever angle you rotate the model. The web interface is easy to use. There are options like searching based on gender, ages, emotions, glasses, facial hair or not, etc. Good for practicing face drawing.
5/ This one will show reference photos for human body parts, at whatever angle you rotate the model, read the instructions for how to do it. The web interface is quite hard to use at first, just tinkering around for a bit, and you will be fine. There are options like searching based on gender and which particular parts that you need refs for. Good for that moment when you go "huh? how is this <body part> will look in this <situation>????"
6/ This one will only show reference photos of animal heads, and only the head, at whatever angle you rotate the model. The accurate skull refencence list is their best point. There are enough common species in the drop down list. Tbh, I don't use this much because I often need refs for the whole animal most of the time. But it's best for furry artists, I guess?
7/ Real model photos. They sell pose reference in themed packs, but there are enough free packs to use as drawing practice too.
8/ This is the best for general background reference. Lots of options. Not really good for very specific location results, but good for random background in drawings.
9/ Lastly, for specific objects or background references at strange angles, I often search for 3D models on this site then take screenshots of whatever I need.
That's all, folks. Hope this list can help ease some of the struggles that we will encounter on our quest of learning the art of drawing things 😂
