thank you for the follows and the kind words, but I really don't think I have much to offer as I don't do sky art that much anymore and this is more of a blog where I post just about whatever.

You know how minecraft culture by this point just kind of assumes that there are people who will play the game differently from each other? You have the builders, but you also have diggers and adventurers and farmers and people who do redstone, and ideally you're going to have at least one person on your server for each?

I wish more multiplayer games were built with this in mind. Like, I know that's difficult -- usually games with built-in "character classes" are pretty rigid, and lose part of what makes minecraft so appealing -- namely, the sandbox aspect. But I still think it would be cool to play a game that anticipated all these different playstyles, and really gave them space to do their own thing.

I want a game where I get to play a cozy farming sim, just churning out potions and food all day, and my friend who likes combat can play an exploration roguelike, occasionally popping back to the base to load himself up with potions and stuff before departing again. I want to be able to randomly decide that I wanna go gather materials for a full set of armor, and equip my sword, and head into the dungeons to mine some ore, without that having any negative impact on me or my co-players or the game experience itself.

I dunno how you'd pull this off, but I want it really bad.

I’ve watched too many animes about MMOs that don’t exist and I’m too nostalgic for Minecraft FTB I think. Does anyone have a suggestion for an MMO that will let me focus on growing a farm, cooking, and trading to wandering adventurers/other players? My whole goal in (gaming) life is to be the tavernkeeper NPC who will give you bread and beer in exchange for a cutlet of bear meat or for clearing my farm of dangerous mobs or something. Where can I live this dream?
