oof, type one diabetic!henry is my beloved and the bane of my existence part 2. i was so committed to the research i even went under a dka myself just to get it more accurately 💀💀 /lh but /srs djdksjsksjsksjsksjsksjskssjsk thats the reason ive been rewriting chapter 1 and 2 (in case you havent read it, you can find the absolute monster here!)

chapter 3 has been incredibly difficult to write (and thats why i havent updated it in more than a year 💀) but here's bea and alex bonding !!!

When Catherine has already thanked him and David has become a little traitor by refusing to leave her side, Alex accepts defeat and goes back to the kitchen, where Bea seems to be, indeed, moving all of Henry's Earl Gray boxes to the back, and putting on the front flavors like hibiscus, mango, maracuja and sweet ginger in the center of it as a signature of who rearranged the collection.

It's even funnier when Alex looks at her, wearing one of Henry's cardigans that he must have left on the living room, having to stand on the same stool Alex uses sometimes because Henry is an ass that puts his tea collection on the middle shelf so that Alex can only reach to the first row of it while on the tip of his toes.

Alex is also an ass because he starts laughing as much as Henry does when he sees Alex in Bea's position.

"Do not laugh at me, Alexander. We're basically the same height."

Alex is still giggling as he says "I'm pretty sure you're a bit shorter."

"And I'm pretty sure I will have you kneecapped if you don't quit it." Alex can only laugh harder at that, and then Bea is also sitting on the stool, hiding her face on her hands as she also shakes with laughter. "And here I thought you both couldn't get more insufferable. It's like you share your only brain cell and use it to torment your poor sisters."

Alex notices the kettle and turns it off as he goes to retrieve Bea's mug from the pantry. It's on the back, but he still can tell it apart from the others because it's the one that looks fully black but when poured hot liquids, it turns blue and reads "british press’ tears" on black letters. It was custom-made and gifted by Alex and Henry to her. Alex has to admit he has always been a bit obsessed with her mug.

If you don't mind answering, how long in your opinion the Legendary heroes stayed as a group before final conflict followed by party breakup? Since where were multiple graphic scrolls, children book series, posters, fan followings for them and almost all of the places on material plane where our dear Band of Boobs has been has had some notable markings of tLH actions. Taking all of that into account it is still very unclear whether their adventure lasted one year or even half a decade. (1)

Btw thank you for all of the naddpod content! Fics, metas, playlists, answers - all of that awesomeness brings delight and a great joy. And your enthusiasm and commitment with which you do it all is very inspiring. (2)

first of all thank you very much, i do it because when I love something i’m incapable of shutting up and for a while there i didn’t know any people irl who were into naddpod BUT all the lovely validation i get from y’all is an excellent added bonus :) <3

second of all, ah, the bane of our collective existence, a Congruent Linear Timeline. someone a while back ( @spacetrashpile maybe?) was trying to put together a timeline, so they may know more than me, but generally I think we have to assume that the Legendary Heroes were together for longer than the BoB have been. My guess is they met somewhere around 6 years ago and spent about four years doing adventures--killing Shadowfang, visiting the Watchman, finding the traitor in Galaderon, etc. Maybe they even took some downtime, that’s the sort of thing you do in DnD sometimes. I think toward the end of this is where you start seeing their graphic scrolls and merch and fan followings. The only thing that doesn’t line up is Lydia saying she read Hardwon “Ulfgar Goes Punch” when he was a baby, which makes NO sense considering that Hardwon is 26 years old. However, dwarves live to be about 350, so I prefer to think that Ulfgar had a successful wrestling career before he was ever an adventurer and the ORIGINAL version of “Ulfgar Goes Punch” was based on that, with a revised edition including his adventures with the LH coming out afterward. but I digress.

About two years ago, the LH became aware of Ilsed as a threat and also that he was working with Asmodeus and they would need to go down into the Nine Hells to finish this. They spend the next year travelling the lands, collecting the artifacts and also recruiting allies (the Green and White Knights, the elves of Gladeholm, etc.) to help them take down Ilsed’s armies in Asmodea. Cue huge battle. Ilsed is defeated on the surface, and in the wake of that, the LH put together the artifacts they’ve collected and do that ritual to open a portal to the Nine Hells. They make their way through the Hells, taking a good few weeks to do so rather than skipping through several levels like the BoB did, team up with Ilsed somewhere around level 7, defeat Asmodeus, and are too low on HP and spell slots to stop Ilsed from taking the Hellfire Crown but Thiala manages to snatch up the Divine Heart and hide it away from everyone before they teleport out (or potentially Ilsed even banishes them out of the Hells rather than deal with killing them). They tell everyone they killed Asmodeus, leaving the little detail about Ilsed out and planning to come back and finish that off later, but over the next few weeks of celebrations and debriefing throughout Bahumia, Ulfgar slowly succumbs to Crick Rot, Alanis becomes more and more suspicious, eventually the three of them fight, Alanis barely escapes with her life, Thiala spends the next few months gathering power and bringing all the Chosen to her side, and the rest is history.

so tl;dr I think the LH were together for about 4-6 years before they split up! that’s more of a standard pace for a 1-20 campaign than the speedrun the BoB have been doing over the course of a single summer. also the war with Asmodea was like a year ago, which I don’t think we talk about enough. that shit JUST happened.
