Ladies and gentlemen... I have an imagination...
Since my world accepts fictional characters from cartoons to video games and more, I don't really accept mascots to be real in my world because mascots are mascots and they must protect their rights.
If I'm able to do so, here are some scenarios from mascots I like if they were in my world. Some are fake, some are for fun, some are basically true...

We’ve lost Greece’s manual This week's newsletter from AthensLive is out:
* The costliest Olympics end up in derelict venues and a financial crisis
* The EU strikes migration deal, while it is revealed pushed-back refugees burned alive
* Major Greek involvement in Predator scandal revealed in detail
The iconic and super-expensive OAKA stadium roof, created by renowned Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava for Greece’s 2004 Olympic Games, has become derelict to such a degree that the stadium closed due to safety reasons, Greeks were told. It was reported that the roof was created with a license for a pergola and that its maintenance manual had been lost…
While the EU was striking an important migration deal that would supposedly lead to a change of its asylum rules to lift pressure on the continent’s border countries, Greek authorities were confiscating the mobile phones of the Coast Guard officers involved in the Pylos shipwreck - a whole 119 days after. Plus, the NYT revealed that refugees who burned alive during Greece’s wildfires were push-back victims.
Finally, a series of investigative reports named Predator Files brings stormy details on Greece’s deep involvement with Predator illegal spyware.
It cannot be recommended strongly enough to read and share this week's updates on the events and developments in Greece here: https://steadyhq.com/en/athenslivegr/posts/e679cd16-c2ad-4122-86b1-0938f60e2549

The spread of civilisation may be likened to a  fire; first, a feeble spark, next a flickering flame, then a mighty  blaze, ever increasing in speed and power.
- Nikola Tesla

Greece
General Information Greece is a country in Southeastern Europe. Greece was one of the major civilizations of Ancient times and as such the birthplace of many important ideas of Western philosophy, arts and politics. From the 2nd century BCE, Roman control of the area increased and Greece later became part of the Byzantine Empire. With the fall of the Byzantine Empire in late medieval times, Greece fell under Ottoman control until its independence 1821/2, over which a war was fought until Greek victory in 1829. The current constitution dates back to 1975, following the end of the military dictatorship which had ruled since 1936. Vast majority of the 10 Million Greeks are members of the Greek Orthodox Church. The capital is Athens.

Odysseus, Discus, and William Morris
Did you know: The sporting event of Discus was known in the days of the Greek poet Homer, who mentions it in both the Iliad and the Odyssey, and it was one of five events included in the pentathlon in the ancient Olympic Games. Throwing the discus was introduced as an event in modern athletics when the Olympic Games were revived at Athens in 1896.
Odysseus, ragged and unrecognised on his long journey home, used his prowess as a discus thrower to prove his credentials as a true Greek and person of quality to his sceptical hosts.
Although it was not a major event in ancient Greek athletics, where it only existed as one of the elements of the pentathlon, it has a special place in modern athletics as the only event with purely Hellenistic roots. Boxing, wrestling, running and equestrianism may have all been more important to the Greeks, but they shared them with many other cultures; the discus was theirs alone.
(quote from unknown author)
A truly Greek sporting event.
Did you know: the famed artisan and craftsman William Morris, who introduced art nouveau, fantasy genre, socialism, and communal back gardens to British city culture, during the same year as discus was being reintroduced as an event at the 1896 Athens Olympic Games, moved on from his trappings of London society?

How Naked Men Wrestling Saved The Western World
In ancient Greece the Olympians of the day fought in the buff. It literally saved the Greek world from becoming a Zoroastrian state. Greek city states were tiny countries around the coast of the Aegean Sea, and further afield around the Mediterranean. They competed each other for supremacy in commerce. This was in the centuries before BC became AD. Underlying their commercial competitiveness,…
