My name is Kiana Imperial. I’m a Filipino american. I was born in Antioch Ca, raised in Pittsburg/ bay point. I’m a sophomore at SFSU, majoring in Pre-Biology. With my major I plan to get into health care. Either become a nurse, or become a medical assistant. I have 11 siblings, 6 brothers and 4 sisters. I have 2 real brothers and the rest are all half. I am 19 years old, I’m the youngest out of all my siblings. I’m very independent with how my life is, ever since I was a sophomore in high school I was very productive with how my life was set. I was going to school, playing basketball for 4 years, and having two jobs. I was really always multitasking and I mean I love it because it keeps me busy. My mom stays in Berkeley, and my dad stays in Modesto, my mother and dad separated when I was 7 and my siblings were who I was mainly close to. I often see my dad and mom 3 times a week and I can say I like it. I live with my 2 siblings, they’re both older than me and all my other siblings either live with their family or girlfriends. I am the second person out of my whole family to attend college and I can say college isn’t for everybody and some people just want to make money rather than going to school, but I would say that if the government didn’t help me with college than I would work instead because the money for college is a big help. I picked SFSU because I wanted to be closer to home and because it is an affordable school. My first choice was sacramento state but my major was too impacted there. Honestly I would say SFSU is a really good school for low income students because they help you with throughout your days in college like the muni and busses are free, I commute from concord to the city and I can say it is a pretty long commute but I’m use to it because I have been commuting all my life but they put a 50% discount on all our clipper cards so it is $4 there and back and there is a free shuttle so it’s really convenient and sweet. I want to say that I love this AAS 218 class because the beginning on how it all started I was in complete shock and amazed. I love food, any kind of food, I’m really not picky. I hate roller coasters but that is just because I’m afraid of heights. I love doing everything and anything ahead of time just so that I don’t need to do it at the last minute. I like to listen to music, either when I’m mad, sad or not feeling well, music is my shit. I love movies, I would say I also like to re watch movies that I already watched. I love my family and am glad that I have a huge family and every time there are family parties I get to pick which one I would like to go to. Most of all I love to free hope you enjoy this. In the first picture is my team, 2nd picture is my brothers half of them, 3rd picture is senior night, 4th picture is more of my family, 5th picture is me and my favorite sister, 6th picture is my one and only niece name Alexia.

Zachary Thomas Dancy, age 27, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019 at his home. Zachary was born April 17, 1992 in Forsyth County to Arthur Matthew “Matt” and Jacqueline Dancy Dixon. Zachary loved his video games. He was kind hearted, loved his family, and always put others before himself. Zachary was preceded in death by his grandparents, Haskel and Nellie Dancy; and Uncles, Billy Joe Dixon and Paul Dean Dixon. Mrs. Pierce was born January 30, 1962 in Wilkes County to John Ralph Sloop and Ruth Perry Sloop. She graduated ASU with a BS Degree in Information Systems and worked in the IT Department of Hickory Chair Company. She was a Partner in Statesville Pallet Company which her father started in 1988 and played an integral part of its success. Regina loved our Holy God and treasured her precious children and family. She had a love for English Bulldogs and her work. Mrs. Pierce was a member of Wilkesboro Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother; Eric Sloop.

Mrs. Pierce is survived by a daughter; Victoria R. Pierce of the home, a son; James R. Pierce of the home, her mother; Ruth Sloop of Wilkesboro, one sister; Teresa Sloop Church and husband Mark of Wilkesboro and a brother; Davy Sloop and wife Pam of Wilkesboro.

Mrs. Lane was born July 7, 1926 in Forsyth County to Worth Lyon and Myrtle Mahaffey Gant. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, enjoyed gardening and cooking. Geraldine was one who always thought about others before herself; she was very kind and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Mildred Smith.

Mrs. Lane is survived by her son, Timothy Lane and spouse Patricia of North Wilkesboro; grandsons, Matthew Lane and spouse Kelly and Austin Lane all of Durham; sisters, Nell Patterson, Bobbie Jean Wellborn both of North Wilkesboro, Gail Hamby and spouse Joe of Wilkesboro.

He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran. Tom was a member of Cub Creek Baptist Church; member of the Cruisers Club and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Wilkesboro. Mr. Elledge enjoyed fixing old cars and loved spending time with his grandkids and family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Daniel Elledge, and Chris Elledge.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Edsel Elledge; son, T.J. Mr. Christopher McKinley Parks, age 35 of Wilkesboro, died Friday, July 26, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Health - Wilkes Medical Center.

Funeral services were August 2, at Parks Grove Baptist Church with Rev. James Ferguson, Rev. Tyra Martin, Rev. Casey Walker and Rev. Roy Brown officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Parks was born April 11, 1984 in Wilkes County to Lawson

McKinley and Patsy Ann Parson Parks.

He worked for Home Depot and was a gifted singer who loved the Lord and loved to meet people.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Parks is survived by his sister April Parks and Kevin Watts of Wilkesboro; his God Mother Clara Parsons; and his God Children Ezekiel Leach and Avery Caul; and a host of Aunts and Uncles and Cousins.
