Was wondering how Josuke's near-50 days of Stand Fever would be altered to fit the Beaststars AU; gonna be hard having him at a hospital since he'll have to shift at least once. (And that's assuming he's not in beastform 24/7 out of illness-induced stress.) And another thing: (and I totally stole this idea from Wolf Children) would human medicine have an adverse effect on someone who's occasionally a peacat?

Josuke would've been sick from roughly November 28th to January 16th, and between that stretch of time there was one full moon, being on December 22nd (since January's full moon wouldn't have been until the 21st)

of course, there is also what you mentioned about how Josuke might be stuck shifting back and forth with somewhat regularity because of the stress and main, and he might even be stuck in his beast form permanently throughout the illness

as such........ Tomoko kinda can't bring him to a hospital

or at least....... not a human one, anyways

now, Tomoko is desperate. Her son is sick and can't switch back. She can't take him to a human hospital because he's not one right now, so her best (and only) bet is taking him to a veterinary clinic and praying they keep it secret

and the one who treats him is a young college student. There was a huge blizzard so he was the only one in the small, two person clinic at the time, because who in their right mind would be out right now but the owner didn't technically want to close up like this. Maybe he's an intern, maybe he's just gotten the job, but bottom line he's young and inexperienced and wasn't at ALL prepared for a woman to run inside with a bundle of blankets making sounds he can't believe he's hearing

he's never seen or even heard of anything like this. This small creature the size of a house cat that has both fur and feathers and is the brightest green and blue he's ever seen, that has the plumage of a peacock but the paws of a feline

the best word he can think to describe it is griffin, but even still it's not quite right. This animal isn't half something half other thing, it's one solid, beautiful, dying creature

but much to his dismay, there's....... not a lot he can do. He can't find the cause or diagnose the issues, hell he can't even prescribe her many medicines on account of not knowing enough about Josuke's biology. But he does what he can to keep his fever down and keep Josuke hidden

and it's thanks to his efforts Josuke lasts long enough for his fever to break

(and maybe there were some nights that Tomoko didn't notice, where fur and feathers gave way to flesh and hair in short bursts. Maybe the young man heard the faintest calls that sounded a bit too much like "mom" and "help" to be written off as coincidence.

he didn't say anything of course. But maybe some nights, when Tomoko was passed out in a chair, that this young man would comfort Josuke and through the haze of his fever make out a pompadour)

IM SO HAPPY YOU LIKED THEM 🤧 I have so many different hc for everyone in knb and especially for Rakuzan. Probably my second favourite team. For now here are some for Nebuya and Hayama. The next one will have the rest of the members!!

Nebuya Eikichi

- Like i said before, Nebuya absolutely adores animals, especially cows, specifically the highland cattle. He loves how strong and powerful they are, especially with their horns, yet also how cute looking the can be. It makes him appreciate people who can look deceptively weak yet are much stronger looking than expected.

- His love for animals, farm animals in particular, was due to him frequently visiting the farm his grandparents owned. He would constantly be coming into the country to spend time with them and help with work on the farm which ranged from feeding and grooming the animals. He would spend hours lying in the fields with the animals just dozing around him, baby calf’s would rest in his lap and let him pet them.

- He didn’t have a lot of friends growing up, ostracized because of the colour of his skin, despite the fact he was born in Japan. So when he was on the farm with his grandparents he always felt less lonely with all the animals.

- Nebuya loved animals so much he tried to go vegan, when that was too difficult he tried to be a vegetarian. He lasted longer than when he was a vegan before he gave it up because he loved meat just way too much 🤧but to make up it!

- He works/volunteers at vets. Sometimes even works part time at the groomers that is connected to the veterinary. He loves being around animals, a lot more than people, something that stayed with him since he was a child.

- The only people who have ever seen this side of him was his teammates. The only group of people he genuinely felt close to and even cared for, despite how much he and Reo like to argue with one another. He likes to put the other boy in a headlock, their interactions always remind Nebuya of when he’s with his older brothers.

- Which is one of the reasons why he loves to baby Akashi, when he’s retuned to himself, as he’s the youngest on the team and since Nebuya is the youngest of three brothers he’s always wanted to have someone to look over and be someone they could come to for help. Even though he’s bad at being logical, he will always support someone in what they want the most. (Even if he doesn’t completely understand what their talking about, he likes to act super knowledgeable, Reo calling him out on it all the time)

- His favourite time down activity is…cooking! He can’t bake for shit, somehow always burning any sort of cake, cupcake, brownie or pie. Like cannot bake for the life of him. But when it comes to cooking anything else, he’s the best. Having learnt from his dad who’s the main cook in the house since his mother is great at everything else but cooking. (The last time she cooked they all were in hospital for the week 💀)

- But cooking is something that started off when he was watching his dad in the kitchen, it became their thing to do together. And when Nebuya was old enough his dad allowed him to help with the cooking. It involved into them watching cooking shows together (his favorite show is Gordon Ramsay and he loves copying the insults and using it on people on the team. “Hayama you always surprise me” “woah really! That’s awesome, you know I always strive to being the exceptional and unpredictable” “you surprise me, how shit you are”) so he loves to cook when he’s feeling stressed or just bored.

- Hardcore kpop stan. Like, if he had to choose between never listening to kpop or playing basketball…sorry everyone he can’t betray his girls Red Velvet 😔 you know that one scene of Patrick Bateman listening to music? Yeah that’s Nebuya listening to kpop with the most intense expression ever. Girl groups are his shit. His mother was the one who got him into kpop, it’s something they bond over. Like his father with cooking, with his mother is everything and anything kpop.

Kotaro Hayama

- People think he has ADHD, no, no he’s just jacked all the way 100. There is no in between with him. He could just be chilling, scrolling on his phone and the next thing you know he’s trying to do parkour inside your house out of nowhere. (More times than Akashi can count has he had to replace a priceless vase that had been destroyed by his teammate who decided he wanted to try and jump from the bookcase. He was banned for two weeks before doing it again)

- Because of this misconception people have about him, they’ve tried to use ADHD as an insult. Which Hayama becomes immediately defensive about, because whilst he doesn’t have it. His younger brother Reki does (🤭) He’s gotten in trouble for starting fights, but because he’s teammates with Akashi he doesn’t ever get detention (something about the Akashi family being secret Yakuza members or whatever) But Hayama is a big protector to those he loves, so he tolerates no bad mouthing or people using disabilities as an insult.

- Gymnastic Hayama. When he was younger, his parents wanted something to have him run all his energy out on, and they tried EVERYTHING. Like they had him in soccer, baseball, swimming, track, tennis, every sport imaginable (not basketball, why? Because his father had an intense hatred for the sport for pure comedic reasons and didn’t want his son to be infected by basketball germs — Hayama father was in a long running competition with his brother, who was a basketball player and had this hatred for the sport. Which really didn’t last long when his son started playing and was good at it. He never lives this down when his brother brings up his son being on the basketball team. In return he says his son has more trophies from his middle school then he does in his entire adult life…they didn’t talk for a whole month)

- But for some reason Hayama took to gymnastics fantastically well…too well because before they knew it they were taking their son constantly to the hospital for broken, dislocated and fractured bones. Why? Because when he wasn’t at the gym he was at home in the backyard doing backflips from the roof, tables and any surface he could climb.

- Hayama was a constant face at the hospital, they made these little stickers specifically for him (it was a chibi cheetah with a cast on it’s leg) Would be walking down the halls and would be like superstar with the way he was greeting everyone and giving out high-fives with an arm in a cast. Everyone knew him. Even the patients.

- Bros flexibility is on another level, like disturbingly so that one time during a sleepover at Reo’s after watching a horror movie he went into a bridge and scared the shit out of everyone as he chased them around the house. Reo kicked him out on his balcony and was forced to sleep outside the rest of the night.

- He loves skateboarding, it’s his favorite thing to do. Because he will without a doubt be incorporating what he learnt in gymnastics into skateboarding. Everyone at the park just be watching this mf skating on his hands like it was nothing. Would be going down the ramps and doing fancy little tricks and jumps all on his hands. Everyone hates him. (Jk they love him and will go to him for help, especially the younger ones and he takes to it and loves giving advice and cheering them on when they succeed) (he has a secret skateboard partner who is a first year that attends Seirin High…who also used to be Akashis old teammate 🫣)

- Crossdresser Hayama? Yes? Yes? Yes! He has two older sisters, he was the the real life barbie doll. No jokes his haircut was given to him by his sisters and he’s just kept the same style since middle school. His sisters would dress him up in skirts, dresses, wigs, stockings and high heels. The whole nine yards. And he didn’t hate it? He had a lot of fun learning that he could wear whatever the fuck he wanted to whilst looking hot as fuck. One time when he was dolled up and went out with his sisters, he ran into Reo, who tried flirting with him completely unaware it was Hayama. When he found out (it was on a tuesday afternoon, 4:20 pm at Rakuzan High School in the basketball gym) Reo had an identity crisis PURELY because it was Hayama, and couldn’t look at Hayama without turning red.

- Wanna guess what his favourite genre of music is? Mozart, Frederic Chopin and Pyotor llyich. No kidding, completely deadass. Classical music is his jam. Fast paced, dramatic and overall epic as fuck? (Nobody gives him the aux cord) he of course loves rnb, rap and pop. But classical music has a grip on him. He will attend orchestras when they have shows, Akashi goes with him since he also shares the same taste in music which was a surprise to the younger boy, but it was something they bond over.

- I’m not kidding nobody will let him have the aux cord unless they pre approve what music he will play 😭

thank you so so much, nonnie!!! that means so much to me!! I do actually hehehe i was waiting to answer this ask until i had my plans confirmed! so this is actually A Story but i shall condense it afdjsasjdfad.

so i actually had secured a job a year ago (in april 2022) as an associate veterinarian at a clinic because i didn’t think anyone would be interested in hiring me and i felt really lucky to secure a job so early on during clinical rotations. but then in the last month i got offered 2 more jobs (i didn’t apply but it was 2 clinics i externed at during my clinical rotations) and these 2 different clinics liked me so much they offered me jobs to work there as a veterinarian. one of those clinics i actually fell in love with and i really really wanted to work there but i didn’t want to make any decisions until i got my NAVLE results. when i got them on monday, i drove to the clinic and accepted the offer!! they just sent me the contract yesterday and i signed it, so I’m gonna work as a veterinarian at a clinic that’s 3 miles from my house and I’ll be working with dogs and cats, and it’s 4-doctor practice and they are all so wonderful and they’re going to be amazing mentors!! I’m so so excited to work there like i adore the doctors and the techs and everything about the hospital and the clients and patients and just all the tools and equipment they have!! anyway so i will be resigning from the clinic i had signed on with last year (which i do feel guilty about leaving but i never actually started working there and i just found this other clinic is a better fit for me and i will flourish better at this new clinic) and will be starting at this new clinic on July 17th!!!

long story short, i am going to be working at a small animal clinic with dogs and cats that’s part of a national company and they are an amazing and wonderful veterinary hospital and i cannot wait to start working as a vet starting on July 17th!!! <333

Windsor Archer is the daughter of big investment banker, William James Archer, from Nashville. She’s the daughter of an affair he had with his secretary when he was 35, and when her mother realized he wasn’t going to marry her after having his daughter because it’s not what he wanted, she left Windsor with him and never came back. It didn’t mean William never loved Winnie any less. 

William worked a lot, which in turn had Winnie raised by lots of maids and staff, but he still loved his daughter very much and everything he did, he did to give her the best life possible. He spent every second of the weekend with her, playing outside, going to her horse riding competitions and watching Disney movies together. With her dad being outside of the house until the very late hours of the night, Windsor turned to after school activities to keep herself interested. She’s always been very interested in animals and loved them as a child, keeping all sorts random pets at home and taking the stray ones she found on the street to the shelter. She’s always had a special bond with animals that couldn’t be explained, from the horses she rode and jumped on since she was old enough to hold onto reins, to the dogs and cats that came into her house uninvited and found a new home.

Windsor worked her fingers to the bone to get into college -not that her dad couldn’t have waved one finger and gotten her into any finance program she wished, but she wanted to make it by herself-, and she sent out tens of application letters. So when the letter came from Florida telling her that the University of Florida program of Veterinary Medicine would be delighted to have her, she couldn’t have jumped high enough. Moving to Florida was going to be a big jump in her life, she loved her dad and wanted nothing more than to be with him, but this was a change she wanted to do. Move away from the nest, create a life for herself. She was gonna miss her dad, he was her best friend, but this was her lifelong dream. A chance to study the every animal in the world? Hell yeah.

Moving to Florida was such breath of fresh air. Her father visited at least once a month whenever he could, and Winnie lived for those moments with him, but she’d definitely found herself and had broken out of her shell of being a little girl, transforming herself into a young woman.

While in Florida, one night at a bar, she met Theo. He looked like the guy every girl wanted to date, and she couldn’t be bothered at first to fight through the competition, figuring he could be a good friend and just that. He was so interesting, working towards becoming a firefighter, he had great morals and values, and wasn't bad looking either. She would've been happy with being just friends for longer, but one night, but after a few drinks and an even longer conversation, it clicked on her. She was in love with him. And nothing else, nobody else, would do. They lived together in Florida while they were both in college, and after they were done with their degrees, Theo wanted to return to Merrock. Winnie’s dad would’ve loved if she'd returned to Nashville, he’d already lined up a residency at a racetrack there, but Windsor wouldn't spend a day without Theo, so she said no. She would return to Merrock with him, and do her residence at the big animal hospital in Maine thirty minutes away. 

After she was done with residency, she started working at Harmony Ranch as their on-call veterinarian for five years, but that all stopped about when she got pregnant with Riley, and soon after him, Lily came along. With two kids, and Theo always out of the house with his job and training, she realized that working a high demand job wasn’t really in the cards for her, so she hung up her coat and dedicated herself to being a mom to her two children and all their pets. Now that the kids are older, she’s picking the old habit back up, offering to do emergency or last minute calls at the ranch or the animal sanctuary for no pay at all, only to be in contact with the animals and make sure she hasn’t lost her touch with healing. Both from Theo’s side of the family and her dad setting up a generous trust fund he still feeds daily for his grandkids, Winnie wouldn’t have to work if she didn’t want to. 

Aside from being a mom, Windsor likes painting, still enjoys horseback riding whenever she an, going to her kids soccer games and spending time with her family.

a real, true, city girl, rya is the definition of 'if i gotta ask somebody else to do it, imma just do it'. born in san myshuno, rya immediately entered the foster care system. she didn't have any relatives to take her in, so, she bounced from home to home, never really having someone to call mom or dad. she returned to the system at 9, and stayed in it until she graduated high school at 18. while in the system, she kept her focus on the books (and occasionally girls), so that she could go to school on something close enough to a full-ride.

currently majoring in veterinary medicine, rya hopes to open her own vet clinic or emergency hospital. while staying at lennox's house over the summer, she was able to intern at the emergency vet in brindleton bay. throughout her entire time in the foster home, there was a dog she lived in that always gravitated towards her; when he passed away, she vowed to make sure that the next generation of animals she encountered were given just as much love and care. her freshman year she danced for the basketball dance team, but decided to stop to focus on school for the next semester since she has a myriad of labs she needs to get through.

she had an immediate liking to lennox, after finding out that they were each other's roommates that had been scouring social media to find. they'd met at orientation, and have been inseparable ever since; which, speaking of lennox, after alex found out about her upbringing, he unofficially, officially adopted rya. he is on her emergency contacts, he's who she called when she went cross country from brindleton bay to del sol valley and got a flat tire, and he's who helps feed her (and lennox) when their funds are running low at school. she met taylor and sage through lennox, but does have her own separate group of friends from them -- even though she spends most of her time with them.

This story begins in a small town east of Kyoto region, Japan. A small community where everyone knew everyone. Here live his father and his father before him and so on a whole generation of Uchihas. Now in the family house lives Uchiha Shisui with his older sister father and stepmother. His whole life Shisui was here, reaching his 20th birthday, he felt a need for a change. For the last five years, this man spent traveling. Documenting and photographing all that he saw.

The sea, the land, the mountains, just him and his photo camera. . In the end, he found out what he wants from his life and that no place is like home. His love for nature and animals won. He had his own small workshop connected to his house. He could be commissioned for custom work or contacted through his working place. He even made an internet blog with presentations of his works. Photos he did for magazines and encyclopedias, for history books. Photos for children's books with animals even his five dogs were part of some books.

But this time when Shisui got home there was a change, he will be getting a new neighbor. Finally...and finally this small community will have their own veterinarian. Usually, when Shisui's pets needed care he had to drive to the town, it was so annoying and unfair. But finally, now this newcomer will restore as they say that old veterinary station.

i've been up all night tossing and turning and i've done some contemplating about things and...

so i'm supposed to go in for my first day of work today at a veterinary hospital that is 25 minutes/25 miles away from my house, it's a full-time job and it'll be 8am-5pm shifts monday-friday every week

my car is 10 years old and falling apart, and i simply cannot afford to purchase a new one right now because the market is absolutely ridiculous

winter is also coming and it's going to be a bad one supposedly, and driving 25 miles to work and then 25 miles back home in shitty weather (which i have done so. many. times. in my life) is not ideal at all whatsoever, i'm sick of it honestly

but more importantly

i have autoimmune diseases (fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis) amongst other health problems (tachycardia, adhd, autism, depression, anxiety, scoliosis, et cetera)

i'm just thinking about how hard this will be on my body, like yeah in theory it sounds good because helping animals etc but in actual practice??? idk

i've obviously worked in a veterinary hospital before, three actually, and they all absolutely destroyed my will to live body and mind

i think... i think i'm just going to turn down the job and apply for a ton of remote jobs today even though i hate customer service, it's really the best and only option right now

idk i've been thinking about this all fucking night and is this a bad idea??? a horrible choice??? possibly

but if it doesn't work out i can always find another job somewhere around here, it won't be easy but

i LOVE helping animals and i LOVE working with animals, but i NEED to take into account my body and how it is incapable of working full-time (and no veterinary hospital hires part-time employees anymore) and also my mental health and my PETS, i won't have the time nor the energy needed to properly care for them and the lack of free time + the commute + the backbreaking work + being treated like absolute trash right to my face by clients is....... not worth it in the end

i may regret this decision and i'm sure my father (who i live with) won't be too pleased but... yeah

working from home is truly the best option for me if i want to be at least a little bit happy with my life

Hosted by Bridgeport City Commission with proceeds going towards the city of Bridgeport. Come join the fun with your best I want brains’ growl! Costumes are encouraged! Medals awarded upon completion & Photo opportunity at finish light with frightful friends!

Scarefest! At Big Al’s Drive-In 

During the month of October, Big Al’s Drive-In will take turns each weekend playing Halloween themed movies. Halloween Weekend (October 28th - 31st)  

Trunk or Treat at Bridgeport Memorial Hospital! - Please bring the kids and come on out as the various departments and offices affiliated with the hospital decorate their trunks and dress up per their chosen theme. Votes on the best trunk of the night will be placed by those who walk through. Maja’s Food Truck will be stationed in the parking lot as well providing delicious food. Free water and popcorn will be given out courtesy of the hospital.

All Hallows Hoedown! - Looking for some adult fun on Halloween night? Why not don your best costume and come out to a frightfully good time. Located inside the spacious barn on the Rhodes family property, featuring food, live music, photo booth, and more! Dance until dawn and have a good time! A cash prize will be handed out for the best costume of the night. 

 Trick or treat! - On Halloween night the local business and home owners of the historic district will be handing out all the treats, and maybe a few tricks! Enjoy pumpkin carriage rides, see the headless horseman ride through the streets, and why not take a walk tours of some of Bridgeport’s oldest - and most haunted - locations!

Ladies in Utah please share this with any ladies you know who might be experiencing a crisis and are concerned about their pets.

(CNN)A new program in Utah will provide short-term housing for pets whose owners are going through treatment for drug or alcohol abuse.

The program is a collaboration between Ruff Haven Crisis Center, a nonprofit providing short-term care for pets whose owners are experiencing crises, and Odyssey House, Utah's largest addiction program.

The partnership launched three weeks ago, Kristina Pulsipher, executive director and co-founder of Ruff Haven, told CNN.

For the most part, the shelter specializes in short-term stays, which makes it hard to work with clients undergoing addiction treatment, who often need to stay for longer than the 60 or 90 days pets usually stay at Ruff Haven. Collaborating with Odyssey House has allowed them to "work past that."

"Having the knowledge that their pets are safe while they're working for themselves provides that additional feeling of support for them to focus on recovery," Pulsipher said.

Ruff Haven plans to accommodate around 10-12 clients through the partnership with Odyssey, according to Pulsipher. The housing for addiction patients, like all the nonprofit's services, is completely free of charge.

The shelter opened in June 2020, Pulsipher noted. Although they did not intend to launch during the pandemic, "We happened to open our doors at a very significant time, when the need was greater than ever," Pulsipher said. "We saw that this need wasn't being filled, and we thought maybe we can keep pets with their families, keep them out of shelters."

Ruff Haven launched with a focus on crisis sheltering, often for clients who were hospitalized or experiencing domestic violence and other crises. Now the shelter mostly works with clients experiencing housing insecurity. And in addition to providing short-term housing for clients' pets while they work to get back on their feet, they also provide community pet vaccination clinics and other veterinary care for the local unsheltered community.

The nonprofit provides crisis housing for pets, mainly dogs and cats, through both a brick-and-mortar boarding facility and a foster program. Pulsipher emphasized the importance of the team's "temporary foster homes."

"These are people who really, what draws them is that they love giving back to the community, and know these are people in very vulnerable positions who could be them," she said.

Fosters "take an animal into their home for 60-90 days, sometimes longer," she said. "They just provide them all the love and care that they give to their own pets. It gives the animals time to de-stress, and not be in a boarding situation."

Clients get videos and pictures of their pets while they are in Ruff Haven's care, so they can make sure their furry friends are well taken care of.

The shelter has served around 510 animals through their crisis sheltering program and more than 1,500 through other programming, like their free vaccination and microchip projects. Currently, they have 61 animals in their care in either the boarding facility or foster care program.

Pulsipher commended the lengths to which their clients will go to keep their pets out of shelters, even while they may be experiencing a crisis like hospitalization or homelessness.

"Our clients are animal welfare heroes," said Pulsipher.
