Epstein allegedly sexually assaulted multiple teenage girls. Some of his victims were as young as 14 years old, prosecutors have said. He committed the crimes at his homes in Manhattan; Palm Beach, Florida; and his private island near St. Thomas.
In 2019, federal prosecutors charged him with one count of sex trafficking conspiracy and one count of sex trafficking with underage females. Epstein died by suicide in his Manhattan jail cell about a month after being arrested, and the charges against him were thus dropped.
His partner Maxwell, who was also involved in the crimes, is now serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted in December 2021. She was accused of helping Epstein recruit and sexually abuse minor girls.

By what name was King Edward VIII of England known to his family?
Edward Albert Christian George Andrew Patrick David, commonly known by those close to him as David, was the first son of King George V and Queen Mary. He reigned as King of the United Kingdom from 20th January 1936 until 11th December 1936. Edward abdicated from the throne because he wanted to marry the American woman Wallis Simpson. Simpson had been married twice before, and as King, he was Head of the Church of England, which did not support divorce. After abdicating, he was known as His Royal Highness the Duke of Windsor. His brother, Prince Albert, Duke of York, became King George VI.
After his abdication, Edward married Simpson in France on 3rd June 1937. The Duke and Duchess lived between Paris and New York, since they were no longer welcome in the UK. In the 1960s, the Duke's health sufferer and he was diagnosed with throat cancer. On 28th May 1972, the Edward died at his home in Paris, less than a month before his 78th birthday. His wife suffered from dementia and died 14 years later.

Henry ‘Chips’ Channon: The Diaries (Vol. 1), 1918-38, entry for 14th April 1923
Saturday 14th April
We dined at three tables this evening at the Grafton Galleries, we being the Carlisles, the Prince of Wales,¹ Poppy Baring,² Mrs Coats,³ Alice Astor, Prince Henry⁴ and a little woman he is flirting [with], Prince George,⁵ Lady Alexandra Curzon,⁶ Serge Obolensky and Paul of Serbia. Paul Whiteman,⁷ an American, conducted his fabulous orchestra with intoxicating skill on hearing who was in the room. At about 11.30 the Prince of Wales decided to commandeer the band and we left . . . but where to go? We agreed on the Curzons’ house (which is closed for repairs). The Prince of Wales sent to St James Palace for a great deal of champagne: the band of twenty-eight musicians arrived and we all crept stealthily into the darkened house. But no glasses! Prince Henry and I searched the bedrooms and collected every available toothbrush glass . . . . At dawn we went out on the balcony and at last when the band was ready to collapse and we were exhausted we sadly separated. It was 7.30 Sunday morning. We walked up Pall Mall in our evening dress hunting taxis. The guard at Marlborough House⁸ recognised the young pink princes and presented arms. We have all sworn to secrecy about this hush party but I wonder how long it will be before all of London knows and gossips. I shan’t say a word.
1. Prince Edward Albert Christian George Andrew Patrick David (1894-1972), elder son of King George V and Queen Mary, created Prince of Wales 1911; succeeded his father in January 1936 as King Edward VIII, abdicated December 1936; created Duke of Windsor on his abdication; married Wallis Warfield Simpson (1896-1986), of Baltimore, in 1937.
2. Helen Azalea ‘Poppy’ Baring (1901-80), daughter of Sir Godfrey Baring Bt, and Eva Hermione Mackintosh: the Duke of York had proposed to her in 1921 but his mother, Queen Mary, had forbidden the union because of her supposed unsuitability. She was also vetoed as a bride for Prince George, whose mistress she became. She married William Piers Thursby (1904-77) in 1928. She ran a dress shop in Down Street, off Piccadilly in London.
3. Audrey Evelyn James (1902-68), daughter of William Dodge James, married in 1922 Captain Muir Dudley Coats MC (1897-1927) of the Scots Guards. Having been widowed she married in 1930 Marshall James Field (1893-1956), an American department-store heir, investment banker and newspaper proprietor. They divorced in 1934.
4. Prince Henry William Frederick Albert (1900-74), third son of King George V and Queen Mary, created Duke of Gloucester 1928; married in 1935 Lady Alice Christabel Montagu Douglas Scott (1901-2004), daughter of the 7th Duke of Buccleuch.
5. Prince George Edward Alexander Edmund (1902-42), fourth son of King George V and Queen Mary, created Duke of Kent 1934; married in 1934 Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark (1906-68). Although known before his marriage to have had a number of mistresses he was also believed to be bisexual, and became one of Channon’s closest friends. He was killed on active service with the RAF when his flying boat crashed into a hillside in Caithness.
6. Lady Alexandra Naldera ‘Baba’ Curzon (1904-95), Lord Curzon’s youngest daughter by his first marriage. In 1925 she married Major Edward Dudley ‘Fruity’ Metcalfe (1887-1957), confidant and equerry of the future King Edward VIII, but conducted a number of affairs with men in high society, notably Lord Halifax, between the wars. Because of her flirtations with various fascists in the 1930s her nickname morphed into ‘Baba Blackshirt’.
7. Paul Samuel Whiteman (1890-1967) was one of America’s most famous band leaders.
8. Residence of Queen Alexandra in her widowhood.

He was the prince who wanted to be normal, to be called “Andy,” who insisted on serving in the military like everyone else. He was the favorite from birth, the irresistible, blue-eyed, blond baby boy, number one in the hearts of everyone from Princess Diana to the queen. Sixty-one years ago, when Andrew Albert Christian Edward was born, such a scenario would have seemed preposterous. How do you properly represent the family? How do you finance multimillion-dollar homes and travel all over the world representing the brand? How do you live? So what do you do? You’re in a constant search for money.” This has come back to haunt them over and over again. “The root problem is you cannot have the sovereign’s children out hunting for money. “You can’t take a conventional job without leaving the family, and family duties take a massive percentage of your time. “Outside of the direct line of the ascendancy to the throne-Prince Charles and Prince William-peripheral family members are severely underfinanced and have limited options on how commercial they can be to make money,” says a friend of Andrew’s.

It’s a deeply twisted fairy tale: The middle son of a royal family worth billions, a prince whose official annual income is $323,000 tax-free from the queen plus $26,000 from his 22-year service in the Royal Navy, has to hustle for extra cash. “She swanned in there,” says Witheridge, who swanned in after her “like I owned the place,” to see who she was dining with: a crowd of friends, but no Prince Andrew. The chase led them through Maxwell’s New York night: 40 minutes at a cocktail party in Tribeca half an hour at a charity event on Fifth Avenue and, finally dinner at the Darby, the then fashionable Meatpacking District supper club. “Andrew would stay at hotels but generally he tends to stay with rich people.” “Because they’re old friends and I assumed if he was staying anywhere he would be staying with Ghislaine,” says Witheridge. They raced after her, hoping that Prince Andrew would be with her or eventually join her. “She stepped out in a tiny skirt, a tiny jacket and boots and got into a waiting car.” “I learned that night the true meaning of the word socialite because Ghislaine’s schedule was remarkable,” Witheridge told The Independent in 2019. “Putting Jeffrey Epstein with Prince Andrew was like putting a rattlesnake in an aquarium with a mouse.” Mahmood alerted her to Prince Andrew’s visit and asked her to alert him of anything she found. We just had a tip-off that Andrew was in town,” says Annette Witheridge, a former News of the World reporter then freelancing in New York. Mahmood surely hoped to catch Randy Andy doing something naughty. We weren’t called News of the Screws for nothing.” “Something on Prince Andrew would have made Maz salivate-especially if it had any kind of kinky sex, which was super for circulation. “The royals were such a lucrative source of salacious stories, always shagging various people who weren’t husbands or wives and getting divorced in that period,” says Paul McMullan.
#Catch a lover house layout serial
In late November or December 2010, the tip that would rock the House of Windsor is believed to have come directly to Mahmood: Prince Andrew, Duke of York-known in the tabloids as “Randy Andy” and “the Royal Lout-About Town,” thanks to his serial dating and practical joking-was in America, embarking upon an unofficial four-day trip to New York City. Mahmood would go on to be sentenced to 15 months in prison for tampering with police evidence in his drug sting of a British pop star. By then, the News of the World had crashed and closed. “During my career at the paper I was responsible for over 250 criminal prosecutions, including of pedophiles, people traffickers, drug dealers, pimps and even a doctor who took me on as a hitman to murder his former mistress and was jailed for attempted murder,” he would later tell the 2011 public inquiry occasioned by the News of the World’s phone-hacking scandal. Best known as the Fake Sheik, he costumed himself in Arabic robes and an array of other disguises and guises to entrap the rich, royal, and reprehensible into doing naughty things on his hidden cameras. Photograph by Jae Donnelly.Ī sex, sin, and scandal machine the likes of which the world had never known, the fiery London-based tabloid had 5 million readers, 30 hotly competitive bloodhound reporters, and one true superstar: Mazher “Maz” Mahmood. Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein, photographed together in Central Park by Jae Donnelly on December 5, 2010.

Today is 115 years since the birth of HRH Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark Duchess of Kent 13–12–1906
Princess Marina was born on 13 December 1906 in Athens, Greece, during the reign of her paternal grandfather, George I of Greece. She was the third and youngest daughter of Prince Nicholas of Greece and Denmark, and his wife Grand Duchess Elena Vladimirovna of Russia.
In my opinion she was the most beautiful and stile full member of the Greek Royal dynasty ever
Her father was the third son of George I of Greece and Queen Olga, while her mother was the only daughter of Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich and Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna of Russia. Her father was a grandson of Christian IX of Denmark, while her mother was a granddaughter of Emperor Alexander II of Russia.
Princess Marina had two elder sisters, Princess Olga and Princess Elizabeth. Princess Olga married Prince Paul of Yugoslavia in 1923. After the assassination of his cousin, Alexander I of Yugoslavia, Paul served as Prince Regent of Yugoslavia from 1934 to 1941. Princess Elizabeth married Carl Theodor, Count of Toeerring-Jettenbach in 1934.One of their paternal uncles was Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark, the father of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (making Marina and her sisters Philip's first cousins)
Marina spent her early years in Greece, and lived with her parents and paternal grandparents at Tatoi Palace. Along with her sisters, she was raised to be devout and religious, which was encouraged by her grandmother, Queen Olga of Greece.Marina's family travelled outside of Greece often, especially during the summer months. Her first recorded visit to Britain was in 1910 after the death of her godfather, Edward VII. She officially met her other godmother and future mother-in-law, Queen Mary, who treated Marina and her sisters like her own children.
The Greek royal family was forced into exile when Marina was 11, following the overthrow of the Greek monarchy. They later moved to Paris, while the Princess stayed with her extended family throughout Europe.
In 1932, Princess Marina and Prince George (later the Duke of Kent), a second cousin through Christian IX of Denmark, met in London.Their betrothal was announced in August 1934.Prince George was created Duke of Kent on 9 October 1934.On 29 November 1934, they married at Westminster Abbey, London. The wedding was a grand affair, as it had been more than ten years since the last royal wedding with Prince Albert, Duke of York, and Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon. The wedding of Prince George and Princess Marina was the first royal wedding ceremony to be broadcast by wireless, and with the use of other technology, such as microphones.
The wedding was followed by a Greek ceremony in the private chapel at Buckingham Palace, which was converted into an Orthodox chapel for the ceremony. The wedding was the most recent occasion on which a foreign-born princess married into the British Royal Family
The couple had three children:
Prince Edward, Duke of Kent (9 October 1935): he married Katharine Worsley on 8 June 1961. They have three children.
Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy (25 December 1936): she married the Hon. Angus Ogilvy, son of David Ogilvy, 12th Earl of Airlie and Lady Alexandra Coke, on 24 April 1963. They had two children.
Prince Michael of Kent (4 July 1942): he married Baroness Marie Christine von Reibnitz and got two children.
HRH dyed from a brain tumour at Kensington Palace at 11.40 am on 27 August 1968, aged 61.Funeral service for the Princess was held at the St. George's Chapel on 30 August.
She was buried in the Royal Burial Ground, Frogmore. Her funeral was the final royal ceremony attended by her brother-in-law, the former Edward VIII.
Πριγκίπισσα Αλεξάνδρα , The Honourable Lady Ogilvy (25 Δεκεμβρίου 1936): παντρεύτηκε τον Hon. Angus Ogilvy, γιος του David Ogilvy, 12th Earl of Airlie και της Lady Alexandra Coke, στις 24 Απριλίου 1963.

Baby Name Guesses: It's a Baby Girl for Beatrice!
Well, I was being my usual procrastinating self, or I would have gotten this up a few weeks before, but here are my guesses for the Baby Girl of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
Edo’s son from a former relationship is called Christopher Woolf.
Christopher is quite certainly after Edo’s stepfather, Christopher Shale, who died in 2011 and I have no idea where Woolf comes from.
But it gives me something to go on, to say that at least Edoardo doesn’t shy away from honour names.
So some option if they go that route:
Edoardo Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi:
Mother: Nicola Diana Burrows (Daughter of Robert David Burrows and Susan Arnot Heath)
Father: Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi (Son of Count Gianpaolo Mapelli Mozzi and Gigliola Stoppani)
Sister: Natalia Alice Mapelli Mozzi
Half-Brother: Albermarle Shale
Son: Christopher Woolf Mapelli Mozzi
Princess Beatrice Elizabeth Mary:
Mother: Sarah Margaret Ferguson (daughter of Major Ronald Ivor Ferguson and Susan Mary Wright)
Father: Prince Andrew Albert Christian Edward, Duke of York (Son of Elizabeth Alexandra Mary and Philip)
Sister: Princess Eugenie Victoria Helena
So what does that tells us?
Susan / Lily
They both had a grandmother called Susan!
Susan actually means lily flower, which means that Daily Mail article in the Spring where they put Lily on the list of possible baby names, could actually have been true. It would have been a lovely nod to the Queen’s nickname of Lilibet, without using that whole nickname.
I don’t think they are going to go that route, however.
Alice
So my next option would be Alice.
Princess Alice of Battenberg was the late Prince Philip’s mother, so that would also be a very lovely nod to the family of Beatrice. And it’s Edo’s sister middle name and it’s a quite common name in Italy. So it’s one of my front runners.
Isabella
Isabella is another option because it’s the Spanish/Italian/ Portuguese/ IT DEPENDS ON WHAT WEBSITE YOU ASK; ALRIGHT?! form of Elizabeth, which would of course honour the queen.
Though the goddaughter of Princess Eugenie, the daughter of Lord and Lady Frederick Windsor is also called Isabella.
Eliza
Another Elizabeth variant.
Elisabetta
Another Elizabeth variant.
Florence
It’s on the betters list for some reason, maybe because it’s an Italian city? I have no idea. I like it though.
Philippa
I mean, that would be perfect to honor Prince Philip, right?
Victoria/ Helena
Both names with the Queen Victoria connection. Beatrice’s mother is kind of obsessed with it, if it’s not obvious. No idea if Bea also got that bug, but she did have a guest role in The Young Victoria. Also, Eugenie’s middle names.
Other assorted guesses based on the name Christopher Woolf or whatever else I come up with:
Dorothy (nicknamed Dottie)
Florence (who is called Flossie)
Ottilie (who they then call Otter or Ottie)
Virginia (If Woolf is a nod to Virginia Woolfe but I doubt that)
Amaryllis (because it can also mean Lily)
Susannah (because it can also mean Lily
Clementine (Clemmie!)
Violet
Thomasina
Penelope
My guesses:
Currently, I am very much favouring Alice and Isabella.
Alice Margaret Elizabeth
Isabella Mary Philippa
And one wildcard:
Ottilie Elizabeth Mary

19th February 1960 - Prince Andrew, Duke of York was born at Buckingham Palace.
Andrew Albert Christian Edward was the first child to be born to a reigning Monarch for 103 years.
Andrew joined the Royal Navy in 1978 after leaving Gordonstoun School, and saw active service as a Sea King helicopter pilot aboard HMS Invincible during the Falklands conflict in 1982.
Outside of the Royal Navy, Andrew also flirted with danger in his private life. In the 1980′s he was dubbed the Playboy Prince, with one newspaper claiming he bedded 1,000 women. Andrew was suspended from carrying out any official Royal engagements following allegations regarding his links with a convicted child sex trafficker, and in January 2022 he was stripped of his military titles and Royal patronages after a private lawsuit for sexual assault was brought against him. Allegations he has always vehemently denied. The charges against him were dropped following an out-of-court settlement.
Prince Andrew continues to reside at Royal Lodge, Windsor with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, and they adopted The Queen’s dogs when she passed away in September 2022.

In 1894, the eldest child of TRH the Duke and Duchess of York was born. The infant would be named Prince Edward Albert Christian George Andrew Patrick David.
On the left, Princess Victoria Mary shares a moment with her own mother Princess Mary Adelaide; the Duchess of Teck is Queen Victoria’s cousin.
On the right, the proud parents and their new baby. Scant did they know that little David would grow up to become a disappointment, abdicating the British throne in favor of “the woman he loves.”

The Royal Wedding took place at 12:30PM on Thursday, July 6th, 1893 in The Chapel Royal (Left Picture) at St. James Palace (Right Picture) in London, England

𝐸𝓃𝑔𝒶𝑔𝑒𝓂𝑒𝓃𝓉 𝒮𝓉𝑜𝓇𝓎
♕ Previous Engagement: Her Majesty Queen Mary (Top Picture) was engaged before meeting His Majesty George V. Mary had become engaged to His Royal Highness Prince Albert The Duke of Clarence and Avondale (Bottom Picture), the older brother of George. Sadly the wedding never happened, as The Duke had fell ill with the Flu which then took a bad turn, turning the flu into Pneumonia. The Duke passed away on Friday, January 8th, 1892 at The Sandringham House in Norfolk, England.

♕ Staying In The Family - Part 1: Her Majesty Queen Victoria (George’s Grandmother: Left Picture) wanted the then His Royal Highness Prince George of Wales, to marry either Her Majesty Queen Marie of Romania (His Cousin: Middle Picture) or Grand Duchess Victoria Feodorovna (His Cousin: Right Picture). George sadly was not fond of either of the two women & Her Majesty Queen Marie of Romania (Middle Picture) did react to George’s proposal to her by rejecting him.
Tumblr media
♕ “I’m Too Young”: Even after his grandmother tried to wed George & his two cousins, the young prince refused to be married. “I still think marrying too young is a bad thing. The one thing I never could do is to marry a person that didn’t care for me. I should be miserable for the rest of my life.” George wrote this to his grandmother stating that he was too young to be married & even if he did marry young, he would marry someone he loved.
♕ Staying In The Family - Part 2: George’s grandmother & Mary had met during her engagement to the now parted Duke, & Queen Victoria was fond of Mary. She had spoken to Mary to see what she would think about marrying her fiancé’s brother. This was very embarrassing for both George & Mary, as Mary’s fiancé's & George’s brother, had only been dead for 1 year & the two were still in mourning. The couple began to feel the pressures of the royal life. Mary began to feel pressure from not only her family but George’s family to be a married woman. George felt the pressure of his new position as second-in-line to the throne, he was still recovering from the proposal rejection of his cousin Her Majesty Queen Marie of Romania, & he also had no idea if Mary even had romantic feelings towards him.
♕ The Proposal: After a long conversation with George’s favorite aunt Olga Constantinovna of Russia (Also known as Queen Olga of Greece: Left Picture), the young duke was urged to propose to his brother’s fiancé Mary. George had help with his proposal from his sister Her Royal Highness Louise The Princess Royal (Middle Picture) & his brother-in-law Alexander Duff 1st Duke of Fife (Louise’s husband: Right Picture). On Wednesday, May 3rd, 1893, Louise had “arranged” to have tea with Mary. When Mary arrived to have tea with Louise, she had found George & Louise waiting for her instead of just Louise. The Princess Royal had suggested that the couple go to the garden to go watch the frogs that lived in the garden pond. The duke then proposed to Mary by the pond & she happily accepted George’s proposal. The couple came to learn how to love & care for each other deeply, despite the stress & heartbreak of the last year.

♕ Morning: That Thursday morning, when George was walking the corridors of Buckingham Palace, he accidentally spotted his bride. As tradition, Bride & Groom are never supposed to see each other (unless a private moment is planned by the couple to meet with each other before the wedding) because it is bad luck. As George spotted Mary, he proceeded to make a low & courtly bow towards the princess, a sweet moment many say that Mary never forgot.
♕ Wedding Party: The Royal Wedding was attended by 5 Bridesmaids, 5 Junior Bridesmaids, & 2 Supporters of The Groom.
♕ Wedding Officiant: The Archbishop of Canterbury Edward White Benson (Left Picture) performed the ceremony. He was assisted by The Bishop of London Frederick Temple (Middle Picture), The Bishop of Rochester Randall Thomas Davidson 1st Baron Davidson of Lambeth (Right Picture), & 5 other priests.
Tumblr media
♕ Register Signing Tradition: As Tradition during all Royal Weddings, the Register must be signed. The Register of the Wedding of His Majesty George V The King & Her Majesty Queen Mary was signed by Her Majesty Queen Victoria, The Prime Minster William Ewart Gladstone (Pictured Below), & all other royal personages that were present at the wedding.
Tumblr media
♕ Balcony Tradition: As Tradition of all Royal Weddings, the Bride & Groom along with family, made an appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony. Even Queen Victoria made a rare public appearance when she joined the couple on the Balcony.
♕ Official Portraits (Photo is in Order): The Official Painters of the Royal Wedding were Heinrich Anton von Angeli, Laurits Tuxen, & Sir Samuel Luke Fildes
Tumblr media
♕ Title Change: As Royal Tradition, the Groom (Sometimes) & Bride’s (Always) Title will change. Mary’s Title changed from Her Serene Highness Princess Victoria Mary of Teck to Her Royal Highness The Duchess of York. George’s Title changed from His Royal Highness Prince George of Wales to His Royal Highness The Duke of York.

♕ Spectators: Since The Wedding of His Majesty George V The King & Her Majesty Queen Mary, was the first public royal wedding in 32 years, the large crowd of spectators spread down the route of travel from Buckingham Palace to St. James Palace. As she arrived at the chapel, Mary gave the crowd a side-ways smile & a wave that made her seem a little nervous about her upcoming vows that were about to take place.

♕ The Designer: In 1891, Mary’s mother Mary The Duchess of Teck announced that not only Mary’s dress but also the bridesmaids dresses would be made in Britain. Arthur Silver of Silver Studios was chosen to design the then Princess’s future wedding gown for when Mary was supposed to marry Prince Albert (But sadly the wedding never happened). Before the dress began, Mary & her mother visited the Warner & Sons’ factory which is located at the Hollybush Gardens in Spitalfields, London. The mother daughter duo asked the factory to make fine white silks with silver thread by Albert Parchment for the dress. Mary’s Second Wedding Dress was crafted by Linton & Curtis of Albemarle Street (A street in Mayfair Central London off Piccadilly).
♕ The First Dress: After Mary’s fiancé had passed away, her “Lily of the Valley” (A highly poisonous woodland flowering plant with sweetly scented, pendent, bell-shaped white flowers borne in sprays in spring) wedding was made public but was abandoned by the family & the designer.
Tumblr media
♕ The Second Dress: For Mary’s wedding to George, the design that she chose for her dress was “The May Silks” & would be influenced by Japanese Art. The design of the embroidery of the dress would include emblems of Roses, Shamrocks, Thistle, Orange Blossom, & True Lovers Knots. The front of Mary’s Wedding Gown was made of white satin which had 3 small flounces of old Honiton Lace (A Type of Lace Textile made by braiding & twisting lengths of thread, which are wound on wood or bone bobbins & is made in Honiton, Devon) from the wedding dress of her mother which were located on the top & upper parts of the sleeves. The bodice long, pointed, cut at the throat, made of Arthur Silver’s white & silver brocade, & satin fell from the Princess’s shoulders. The train of the gown was long but plain & Mary wore her mother’s veil, which was also made of Honiton lace & fastened using her wedding gift from Her Majesty Queen Mary, diamond pins. The veil was never used again in another royal wedding. Following the flower theme of the dress, small wreaths were placed around the bust & in Mary’s hair. (A Dark Photo than the one above so you can see the design better)
Tumblr media
♕ Royal Jewelry: For her wedding, Mary wore a diamond tiara as a loan from Queen Victoria. Along with the Tiara, the bride wore a Diamond Rivière Necklace from the Prince & Princess of Wales, Diamond Earrings from Prince George, & a Anchor Brooch from Prince George.

♕ The Wedding of His Majesty George V The King & Her Majesty Queen Mary, was the first Royal Wedding to take place in St. James Chapel since the death of Prince Consort Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Albert was Her Majesty Queen Victoria’s husband but many of the couple’s children married in the St. James Chapel. The cause of death was Typhoid Fever.

The Duchess of York (later Queen Mary) and baby Prince Edward (later King Edward VIII, then Duke of Windsor), 1894. . 👑 Interesting fact; Prince Edward was baptised Edward Albert Christian George Andrew Patrick David. The names were chosen in honour of Edward’s late uncle (Prince Albert Victor) who was known to his family as “Eddy” or Edward, & his great-grandfather King Christian IX of Denmark. The name Albert was included at the behest of Queen Victoria for her late husband Albert, Prince Consort, & the last four names – George, Andrew, Patrick & David – came from the patron saints of England, Scotland, Ireland & Wales.
