i wonder what jamie’s favourite movie is, like we know he’s seen the fault in our stars, and he doesn’t seem to like ratatouille very much. or maybe he just disapproves of sam mentioning ratatouille on a dating app idk. but then he also mentions the “three kates” (beckinsale, hudson, winslet) in the rom-communism scene, so maybe a preference for romcoms?
this is SUCH a fun question!! And I was going to say I don't have a good feel for the answer, but I thought about it over breakfast and came up with a whole thing, as one does (😂).
So, I think Jamie is generally one of those people who will watch just about anything and probably find most of them entertaining if not "good." And he is going to have very strong passionate opinions one way or another that he will voice to you during the movie (Since we know he was shouting things about the play down at the actors when Keeley took him to the theatre, I definitely think he's a talker during films lmao. And because of his total disdain for Ratatouille, I know he's very opinionated. But I also think if someone was like 'hey let's watch Ratatouille' Jamie would readily agree to it even though he hates the film, because he enjoys the opportunity to tell them during the movie exactly why he hates it.)
Jamie is my age and Fault in the Stars indicates to me that he was into all the popular YA movies of the 2010s, so I think he definitely likes like, Hunger Games, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Divergent, Marvel... all the classics hehe. The romcoms I think come from Georgie! When Georgie finally managed to get a night off work to spend with Jamie they would do film nights and curl up together by the TV. Jamie always let her pick the movie because it was a small way to make her happy, and she introduced him to all the classic romcoms :)
With Keeley I think he would happily watch reality tv with her just as readily as he'd watch whatever weird arthouse indie Film™️ she suggested to expand their cultural palate or whatever. He doesn't understand a single thing that's happening in those ones (especially if its a foreign film subtitles situation, because he can't read the screen fast enough) but it's okay because Keeley always patiently explains it to him afterward and doesn't ever make fun of him when he misses the point :)
Also, I wrote in Waterfalls that he loves the Fast and Furious franchise and I stand by that. I think a lot of like, objectively stupid and nonsensical movies are his favorites 😂 Brett apparently thinks Phil has terrible taste in movies, and I like to think Roy thinks the same about Jamie, except that it's very surface level because no matter how much Roy complains, he always ends up getting drawn in my how stupid the plots are kdngjka. And when Roy refuses to watch something Jamie and/or Keeley want to watch, Jamie gets to throw back at him, "don't act like you're better than us, Roy, I know you watched all of Lust Conquers All" and that shuts him right up 😁
Jamie never actually cares what they watch when he's with Roy and Keeley, but he nevertheless puts up a fuss about how it's his turn to pick and dramatically dive-grabs for the remote just to mess with roy hahahah.

This isn't strictly related to any particular discourse, more of a wider commentary on nepo babies and growing up wealthy. I hope that's OK! Also, I apologize in advance for the length of this.
I hesitate to judge anyone for the situation they were born into, and I don't begrudge anyone having opportunities or experiences because of growing up rich. I also don't believe that rich automatically equals happy. That said, I think that people who grow up with wealth, especially in Hollywood, should recognize and acknowledge that their lives are very different from the majority of people's. I'm not saying nepo babies should apologize for the circumstances they were born into, but they should at least acknowledge that they do have a leg up in the business, and try to do something good with the opportunities they have.
I think the difference between modern-day nepo babies and the ones from previous generations like Jamie Lee Curtis and Drew Barrymore is that the old-school ones may have gotten in on their parents' connections, but they stayed there due to their own talent and work. There are many, many incredibly talented performers might not be famous if they didn't have a parent, or even a sibling, who came first. But the biggest thing about the original generation is that the ones who went into the business did it because they had a talent or a passion, and knew they had the opportunities to make that happen. They didn't just go, 'my mom/dad is famous, so I'm going to be famous', which seems like the way some of today's nepo kids approach it. It also sucks when they go into acting when they don't necessarily have the talent, because they have the money to get whatever kind of education they want, discover causes that are important to them, or pursue a passion that isn't in the entertainment industry.
I'm sorry to ramble so much, and I hope this doesn't come off like I'm hating on nepo babies or saying anything negative about people with money. I'm also not saying anything bad about anyone in particular. I think there are some industry kids who seem lovely, and there are first-generation Hollywood people who seem like they'll raise good, grounded kids if they have them. I'm sorry to ramble so much, especially on anon, but I was thinking about this earlier and I felt like this would be a good place to drop my long-ass, multiparagraph opinion! ❤️
This was so good and I appreciate your thoughts on the topic at hand! Your sentiments mirror mine exactly. I have no issue with old-school generation nepo babies, like Jamie Lee and Drew as you gave for examples. They made something out of themselves. They didn't just say "im so-and-so's child and i deserve this role". Jamie Lee broke barriers by doing Halloween, which was considered a low budget horror flick back in the day. And yeah while her mother was the scream queen, Jamie Lee went on to have a career that became solely her own. Same with others, like Kate Hudson for example. And others I can't think of right now lol.
I'm glad you bring up these points. The conversation we're having today about nepo babies is a pretty strong one of course, because it's a hotly debated subject matter. I think overall, those in positions of power and wealth should check their privilege. And they should be aware of their standing as compared to other blue collared folks who are trying to get a foothold in the industry.
Thank you so much for your comments! Feel free to send more if you like :) ive got time to talk lol

A movie you can watch if you want to spend Valentine's Day at home part 3
A movie you can watch if you want to spend Valentine's Day at home part 3 Friends with Benefits Who among us does not get tired of watching this movie at any time, as it proves that the best thing that can happen in your life is to fall in love with your best friend?  It tells the story of Dylan and Jimmy, who have a feeling of admiration for each other, but are afraid of the bad consequences of romantic relationships and prefer to be friends but with different privileges.   Love, Rosie This movie is one of my favorite romantic movies and you will definitely love it too. It tells the story of Rosie and Alex, who have been friends since childhood,  but their feelings begin to change without anyone frankly speaking, and they begin to enter into other relationships over the course of their lives until they face the truth of their love for each other.   Love and Other Drugs The film revolves around a pharmaceutical company representative who begins a relationship with a girl who does not want to be engaged but succeeds in changing her view after discovering her illness.   A Walk to Remember It is one of the best romantic drama movies I advise watching. It tells the story of student Landon Carter who and his friends make fun of one of his classmates,  but are punished by participating in obligatory activities at the church after school, and here he falls in love with his classmate Jimmy.   When Harry Met Sally We go back to the '80s with this movie when hair was curly and men were so cute. They say there's nothing better than falling in love with a girlfriend, so why not watch a movie about how friendship develops into something bigger?   Hitch Any movie in which Will Smith appears will make you laugh. This movie is definitely your best option if you want to watch a movie with your partner and laugh all night long. Intolerable Cruelty   You have to watch George Clooney when he was little on Valentine's Day! He is a handsome lawyer who thinks he is the best person to meet the cunning Catherine Zeta-Jones.  This movie can also appeal to men if you were wondering.   How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days One of the most famous romantic thriller movies you must watch on Valentine's Day with Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson.  It's really funny especially when Kate Hudson is acting weird and singing "You are So Vain".   Pretty Woman This movie is a mix of comedy and classic romance, and you'll probably find it in all of our lists of the best romantic movie of all time. Julia Roberts and Richard Gere try hard not to fall in love with each other, but their relationship can't be ignored.   Love Actually This film presents nine different stories and how does love affect each of them? This movie is about romantic signs from young children to adult men.   Now, which of these films would you choose to spend a beautiful and special day at home on Valentine's Day? God, petition for Amemiya to be in every single episode of Revue Starlight.
I love when stuff like this happens both in fiction and in real life, because so often it DOESN’T. Your mom or dad was an actor or whatever, and so you get blitzed right to the top not because you’re particularly good, but because someone knows where to place you, and then I end up having to watch Kate Hudson and Josh Brolin run around like attractive wallpaper paste. God I hate legacy bullshit, no matter where it is, fuck nepotism in the ear.
ANYWAY, it’s really pleasing to me to hear someone just straight up say that Kaoruko can’t fucking act, and she may be great at the specific type of Japanese dance she’s been doing her whole life, but that doesn’t matter here, and she’s going to have to get over herself and accept that she ahs to work or live at the bottom.

Sia's debut movie “Music” is severely ableist and contributes to harmful stereotypes of autistic people. The Golden Globes must rescind its two nominations for “Best Musical/Comedy Picture” and “Best Musical/Comedy Actress: Kate Hudson”, and the entertainment industry must promise to actively work towards inclusion and better disability representation.
Sia has claimed the movie is a “love letter to the autism community”, however, the music segments are filled with strobing lights, colors, loud sounds, and quick camera movements, which is very overstimulating. About 1 in 4 autistic people have epilepsy, so the movie can cause seizures and is also very uncomfortable for those without it. Despite making the movie “for” autistic people, Sia has made it in such a way that a majority of us will be unable to watch it.
Secondly, actual autistic people were ignored in the casting process when Sia cast neurotypical Maddie Ziegler to play the autistic character, “Music” because she "can't do a project without” her. That is not a valid reason to create a movie about autistic people without including autistic people in it. How does one act autistic, you may ask. If we look at Ziegler's portrayal, the answer is by stereotypically mimicking autistic people the exact same way autistic people have been bullied and mocked their entire lives. It also enforces the idea that autistic people are not good enough and that their autism is better portrayed by someone with no concept of what it is to be autistic. To make things even worse, Ziegler learned how to “act autistic” by watching videos of autistic children having meltdowns uploaded to YouTube by their parents without their consent. Autistic Sophie Buck asks in her article on Dazed, "why autistic people [are] shamed for being themselves, but a neurotypical actor gets rewarded for inaccurately and reductively assuming an autistic identity?".
“Music” is also used as a prop to advance the other characters' stories and lives. Not once are her feelings and thoughts expressed or even sought out. What about the trauma from watching her grandmother passing? What does she think of suddenly having her estranged sister take care of her? Does she want Ebo to move in, the grown man who restrains her? As non-speaking Niko Boskovic says in his essay: “I think there are two points which stuck out to me. First, that there is a caricature of autistics which relies on depicting us as headphone-wearing, gaping innocents who are symbols of purity there to remind us of selfless sacrifice.” And “Second, the assumption that we have no dreams or hopes for the future of our own, and that the life experiences of everyone around us, i.e. those without disabilities, are central and more important than our own dream for the future.” In the movie, "Music" is gifted an AAC device to help her communicate, but it only seems to be able to say “I’m happy” or “I’m sad”. AACs usually have thousands of unique words programmed. It highly underestimates the intellectual capabilities of autistic people. Non-speaking does not mean incapable.
Positional Asphyxia. That is how 13-years-old autistic Max Benson died in 2018 when he was physically restrained by staff at Guiding Hands School. Max was held in a prone restraint for an extended period of time and was forced to urinate and vomit on himself before becoming unresponsive. It is far from the only case of positional asphyxiation in autistic people being restrained during a meltdown. Sia’s decision to include this inhumane treatment is a testament to her ignorance and complete disregard for the safety and needs of autistic people. Despite claiming her movie to be a “love letter to caregivers and to the autism community”, she is actually telling the autistic community that she doesn’t care about them. The fact that “Music” has been nominated for two Golden Globes awards illustrates the complete disregard the entire entertainment industry has for inclusivity and minority representation. It will only use autism as inspiration porn to make neurotypicals feel good about their supposed “superiority”.
Sia’s handling of the comments by disability activists so far has been insensitive, irresponsible, and invalidating. When faced with justified critique, Sia decided to personally attack members of the community e.g. when she replied: “maybe you’re just a bad actor” to one autistic individual who expressed their ability and willingness to act in her movie. Furthermore, Sia claims to have researched autism for years, but the fact that she collaborated with Autism Speaks, easily identified as a eugenics-promoting hate group, is a testament to the severity of her lies. She refused to apologize and only did so after receiving the nominations out of fear of a boycott, which is exactly what we urge all of you to do. She did announce that she is removing the restraint scenes, but that doesn’t change the fact that it was nominated before Sia made this decision. The damage has already been done. Update: the restraint scenes have NOT been removed and there are no warnings in the movie.
In light of this damning evidence, we call on the Golden Globes to rescind its nomination in both categories. We also call upon the entertainment industry to create a more inclusive workspace that will allow autistic people to become part of the industry. We are already seeing more inclusion of minorities, but disability inclusion is non-existent, which is deeply immoral and concerning. When representing autistic people, listen to actual autistic people, not just social workers, parents and organisations. We are the only ones who knows what is best for us and what it is like to be us. We also call upon other members of the industry–such as actors, producers, writers, and musicians–to call out the movie and its enablers, and to show support to the autistic community and its wishes. We call on HanWay Films and Vertical Entertainment to immediately stop the distribution of “Music”, and on any streaming platforms planning to show it. We call on the actors to apologize and distance themselves from the movie. Your silence is louder than you think. Lastly, we call on YOU to sign this petition, to share it, to demand justice, to be an ally of autistic people, and to listen to the autistic community. Let’s make history together!

LA Times - THE ACTOR'S LIFE, July 09, 2006
Tumblr media
Rachel Abramowitz, Times Staff Writer OWEN WILSON may be the only Oscar-nominated screenwriter who's never owned a computer. He's not going to take the plunge now at the advanced age of 37 because he's afraid he'd get addicted to computer games. "If I got one at this point, I'm very susceptible to getting super into it," he drawls over turkey burgers in a joint in Venice. "I'll look at these ads for these war games they have, and they look so cool." He elongates the word for effect. "I feel I could really lose myself." It's hard to reconcile the various faces of Owen Wilson: the wildly competitive devotee of ping-pong, foosball, bocce and a game called head soccer (soccer played on a tennis court), the girl-chasing figure labeled "The Butterscotch Stallion" in the tabloids, with the guy who cries at "The End of the Affair" and reads the Graham Greene novel afterward, who can quote chunks of dialogue from films such as Terrence Malick's "Days of Heaven." With director Wes Anderson, Wilson co-wrote two of the most amusing but poignant distillations of precocity of the last dozen years: "Rushmore," with Bill Murray, and "The Royal Tenenbaums," which was nominated for an Oscar. Yet he's also a charter member of the comedy frat pack, a golden circle of 30-something funny guys that includes Will Ferrell, Jim Carrey, Jack Black, Steve Carell, Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn, whose broad antics have powered mainstream comedy for the last half-dozen years and whose most potent screen relationships appear to be with one another. That was all too apparent in last summer's raucous, hard-R comedy "Wedding Crashers," in which Wilson and Vaughn troll for chicks like a particularly libidinous Lewis and Martin.
At first, it appeared as if the latter incarnation came to lunch as Wilson ambled up in a rumpled T-shirt, loose pants and no wallet. His freakishly blue eyes peer out from under a mop of longish blond surfer hair, and the famed, twice-broken beak looks more Roman in profile than the mashed-up boxer's schnoz that defines his face from the head-on perspective. And then there's the grin, which alternates from shy, polite Texan to louche ladies' man. Still, while some major movie stars seem shellacked in narcissism, Wilson emits a wry curiosity. He actually asks questions and listens for the answers. Like Woody Allen, Wilson is less an actor than a comic persona who acts. And the shtick does vary from a kind of mouthy, ironic parody of a Tom Cruise action figure ("Armageddon") to a mouthy, ironic, arrested-adolescent party boy ("Wedding Crashers") to a so-sincere-it's-ironic adolescent slacker ("You, Me and Dupree," landing in theaters Friday). The latest film is a comic paean to the underachiever. Wilson's Dupree is a wide-eyed naif who at 35, 36, 37 can't manage to get a life, a career, a girl, a sense of direction, some hard elbows useful for clawing one's way through the grown-up world. In the film, Dupree, beanbag chair in tow, moves in with his newly married best friend, the uptight Carl (played by Matt Dillon), and his wife (Kate Hudson), and wreaks havoc, ultimately imparting some addled life lessons. Perhaps the most important involves being true to oneself -- a theme that echoes from both "Rushmore" and "The Royal Tenenbaums" -- although here the message is delivered with goofy glee rather than drenched in loss. Wilson developed the idea for "You, Me and Dupree" with writer Mike LeSieur and produced the Universal film while ad-libbing more than a few of the movie's signature scenes. "He's got an amazing ability to improv, because he has such a mind for storytelling," says Anthony Russo, one of the forces on the cult TV show "Arrested Development," who directed the film with his brother, Joe. "Owen keeps his improv right on target. Normally you can use about 10% of what somebody does, but with Owen, you can use 90%." "The way he works is he likes to keep every take fresh," adds Joe Russo. "He changes every take, and he rarely does the same thing twice. He's like a jazz musician who goes on a 10-minute riff. He'll find a new melody to start playing." "Owen is great because you get all the imaginative, addictive stuff that the great comics bring, but without the angst," says director Shawn Levy, who just employed Wilson as a 3-inch-tall cowboy in the upcoming holiday release "Night at the Museum." "Maybe there's angst, but if so, he's disguised it well. I had all the pleasure and none of the pain. For a comic, that's unique." Unlike some of his counterparts (Stiller or Vaughn or Anderson, for instance), Wilson doesn't bristle with ambition and perfectionism. He seems to treat the whole movie-star phenomenon as an incredibly fortuitous freak of nature, like a comet that happily landed on his head. He never intended to star in "Bottle Rocket," his screen debut, which he co-wrote with Anderson, but they couldn't get anybody else to take on the role of Dignan, the demented would-be burglar. "I didn't study to be an actor. It always seems like a lucky thing," says Wilson. "I don't think of myself as really driven as an actor to try to stretch myself. I think I'm sort of limited. I can do some stuff and make it sound real. s→Owen Wilson It's funny about Owen Wilson More ad-lib comic than thespian, the Frat Pack's golden boy says he just got `lucky.' (Don't believe it.) THE ACTOR'S LIFE July 09, 2006|Rachel Abramowitz, Times Staff Writer (Page 3 of 6) He seems to treat the whole movie-star phenomenon as an incredibly fortuitous freak of nature, like a comet that happily landed on his head.
Ads by Google Advertisement "A movie like 'Anaconda' -- it's weird -- I would have been embarrassed to have written that movie but not to act in it. I don't know why that is." Indeed, Wilson admits to being more "discerning" about the writing, which is partly why he hasn't actually sat down and written his own script start to finish, since Anderson, his college roommate from the University of Texas, began writing without him. He and his good friend Woody Harrelson are planning to write one in August, but they've spent most of their time discussing in which beautiful spot on Earth they should write. And then there's the issue of who will man the computer. "What keeps me from writing more is I'm very particular. If I don't feel something's good, I don't want it out there. I'm more discerning. I always feel with the writing I'm going to get to it." He grimaces and sighs. This is himself he's talking about. "I was also going to get to graduating college." Middle man WHEN Wilson was 3, his mother wrote to her sister describing her second son: "Owen has a very zany sense of humor. He doesn't like to read the same book twice, and he idolizes Bobby [Owen's dad]." We're discussing nature versus nurture. Wilson has one of those minds that remembers all the nuances, the slings and arrows of childhood, coupled with a firm grasp on the mythology of family. He's the middle son of a couple of cultured East Coasters who transplanted to Dallas, where his father ran the public television station and his mom became a photographer. He remembers himself always being the "odd man out," with his mom gravitating to his older brother, Andrew, also an actor, and his father having a special affinity for his younger brother, Luke, who's starred in all the films Owen has written as well as appearing in "Legally Blonde," "The Family Stone" and the upcoming "My Super Ex-Girlfriend." "It wasn't like I was like Oliver Twist: 'More bread, sir,' " adds Wilson, who knows that his parents love him. "It was maybe easier for my dad to be around Luke. They had more of a connection. Luke looked like my mother. My dad and I would butt heads." It's pretty safe to say that his parents worried that Owen would turn into a permanent screw-up. He always had problems in school -- not working up to his potential, as a raft of teachers pointed out. He wrote one of his first short stories in eighth grade -- about a real-life incident in which his brother Andrew shot a deer. It was so good that his teacher thought he plagiarized it. In 10th grade, he actually got kicked out of the tony Dallas prep school St. Mark's for cheating on a math test and ended up transferring to a local high school for a semester, then getting shipped off to a military academy. At least the trauma proved useful for the art. The deeply idiosyncratic protagonist of "Rushmore" flunks out of his tony prep school and winds up at the local high school. He befriends the industrialist played by Bill Murray, who looks at his own children, a pair of violent lunkheads, and bemoans, "Never in my wildest imagination did I dream that I would have children like this." "My dad would say that," Wilson says with a laugh. "But thing is, my dad and all his friends, all the stories he told that were celebrated, were about getting around the rules. One of my earliest memories was my dad sneaking us into the state fair, saying he was with the Channel 4 news. It was pretty clear where we got this from." Even today, the Wilson boys are a tight clan, ferociously competitive in sports and games, and nothing makes Wilson happier than beating someone who deeply cares. "I don't have to win. I just want to know that the person I'm playing hates to lose and really wants to win, otherwise it's no fun." He insists that this competitiveness does not extend to their respective Hollywood careers. "Not because we're so
generous and loving -- it's more selfish," Wilson explains. "If Luke's movie does really incredible, I know I can always get him to do a movie with me, or for me. It's a rising tide. If one of us does well, it's going to help the other guys too." As kids, Owen dreamed up the games and the clubs and forced Luke to serve as a pledge, getting hazed to get in. As grown-ups, Luke -- in a kind of Dupree moment -- moved into Owen's Santa Monica house, bringing along a stuffed boar's head, a wild javelina he'd appropriated from the set of "Tenenbaums." Although Luke Wilson owned his own house a mile away, he stayed for a year. "When he finally moved out, he took the javelina with him. I miss it. It tied the room together," cracks Wilson. "Even a mile away I don't see him as much." His brothers are the only people Wilson has fought with -- physically -- as a grown-up. Right before the Wilson brothers and Anderson boarded a plane from Texas to California to meet writer-producer-director James L. Brooks about making their debut, "Bottle Rocket," "Luke and I had a punching fight. I had scratch marks down my face. I had to get on the plane. It's really emotional fighting your brother. We were crying a little bit on the flight. We went to the meeting. It was such a heavy vibe from us, they didn't even ask us what had happened to our faces." 'Rocket's' red glare WILSON doesn't elaborate about what they were actually fighting about, but "Bottle Rocket" -- and meeting Anderson in a University of Texas playwriting class -- were the pivotal events in his professional life. Brooks, the director of such films as "As Good As It Gets," "Terms of Endearment" and "Broadcast News," arranged for the financing of the $5-million film, about a loopy gang of aspiring burglars. But the making of the film was something of a bloodbath, an ugly collision between a renegade indie sensibility and mainstream Hollywood moviemaking. The film got eviscerated by audiences in test screenings, a process that Wilson has said left him feeling so pummeled that he even considered joining the military. Polly Platt, the film's producer, recalls one particularly rough day when the boys were wrestling with the powers-that-be in the editing room. She went across the street to sit in the Roman Catholic church to get a little sanctuary. "I looked over to my left and Owen was in the same church praying. That's the only indication I had that he was suffering." Anderson wrote his latest film, "The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou," with another partner, Noah Baumbach, which at first shocked Wilson, who still starred in the film, a much more sprawling, undisciplined work than the earlier Anderson-Wilson collaborations. The former screenwriting partners are still close. "I can hardly think of anyone that I have as much fun talking to as Wes. We're really on the same page," says Wilson. The distinctive, stylized Anderson films definitely launched Wilson in Hollywood. "Bottle Rocket" might have failed financially, but it has turned into a cult favorite, drawing fans such as Martin Scorsese and Stiller, who wrote the filmmakers a fan letter. Wilson has gone on to star with Stiller in half a dozen comedies, including the upcoming "Night at the Museum." Like Stiller, and much of the comedy mafia, he's represented by United Talent Agency, who, in fact, were the ones who introduced him to "You, Me and Dupree" writer Mike LeSieur, then a complete unknown. The actor appears to have made peace with mainstream Hollywood. "He has that breed of effortless Texan cool that's incredibly winsome," says Levy. "He doesn't seem to have adjusted his life to the rules of celebrity. For better or worse, he's doing whatever he damn well pleases, whether it's going to a bar and chatting up a pretty girl or running along the sea wall in Vancouver alone during the middle of the day. He seems to have refused to rejigger his lifestyle the way many famous people do." "One thing I admire about Owen is he loves life," says "You, Me and Dupree" producer Scott Stuber. "All of us get caught up in
striving for success, and weirdly, when you're in the middle of it, success ... tends to be the most stressful time of life. You feel this need to continue it. Owen understands that he's in a great place as a person and has great opportunities as an actor and appreciates it. He travels. He reads a lot. He's expanding himself as a person." One direction in which he does not appear to be expanding is maritally. Unlike Stiller or Jack Black or Ferrell, Wilson isn't settling down. When asked if he's ever a Dupree himself, he admits that he occasionally gloms on to Woody Harrelson's family unit. He went to visit the actor and his wife and young daughters in Hawaii for four days but stayed a month. Recently, he bounced over to Italy to see them and their new baby in Ravello, where they were vacationing. "I'm single. I'm still out there," he muses. "But who knows for how much longer." He laughs. Devilishly. "I could be winding down." Yeah, yeah, yeah. At 37, he has at least 40 more years in which he can procreate. That's in Hollywood-movie-star years, which is something akin to dog years for men. Adds Wilson, "If you read the Bible, I've got till I'm 120."

post/647135262236983296/this-blog-supports-the-hell-out-of-wyatt-russell omg, YES to all of this!! it makes so mad when "fans" can't distinguish between an actor and the character they're playing. also, how do people not realize that Wyatt is a legend???! not only by his own work but being siblings with Kate and Oliver Hudson and son of Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell - like come on! he's doing an incredible job of playing this character that makes us all hate him (the character) so much!
also not for nothing, I truly dont think nepotism comes into play that much with him even considering who his family is- he’s even said in interviews he wasn’t getting work and was thinking of giving up on acting, but he was REALLY good in overlord, and the episode of black mirror he was in. some people (not naming names) 10000% get by just because of who they’re related to or know, and not based on actual acting ability.
but the guy is seriously talented. hes also in this movie that i love called table 19 which is nowhere near great but its one of my comfort movies ive seen it so many times lol

Page 1: Photo Flash -- Tom Cruise is well known for doing his own stunts, but during a location shoot in Yorkshire, U.K. for Mission: Impossible 7, Tom's co-stars Hayley Atwell and Esai Morales proved they were no slouches either: all three actors wowed onlookers with their daredevil moves aboard a train that was in motion

Page 6: There's no limit to what Angelina Jolie wouldn't do for her kids and instead of living abroad, she purchased a home for them in L.A. because she wanted it to be close to their dad Brad Pitt and now, Angie reveals she's had to give up her dream of directing because she had a change in her family situation that's not made it possible for her to direct for a few years and she needed to just do shorter jobs and be home more, so she went back to doing a few acting jobs -- Angie filed for divorce from Brad in 2016 and while they were declared legally single in 2019, the former couple have yet to settle on a permanent custody arrangement for kids Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne while at age 19, son Maddox Jolie-Pitt is able to make his own decisions about whom he lives with and Angelina is blowing through millions of dollars on lawyers and she isn't broke, but she can't exactly afford to stop working either and amid mounting legal bills, Angie's signed on to blockbusters like Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and Marvel's Eternals and while Angelina would rather work behind the scenes, it's too time-consuming and as an actress, she can make ends meet and be there for her kids
Page 8: Less than a month after giving birth to her third child, a baby girl named Mae, Hilary Duff is opening up about the pressure that comes with breastfeeding, saying all of the babies latch really great but she's just not a huge milk producer, so it's emotional for her and she has tons of anxiety, and then she's in her head, and then she doesn't feel like enough, and then the spiral continues from there -- she decided to share her postpartum struggle as a way to cope and to let other new mothers out there know that they're not alone in this
* Sarah Jessica Parker is trying to convince Hugh Grant to star in the upcoming Sex and the City reboot because it's unlikely Chris Noth will be returning as Mr. Big, so she needs a new leading man and Hugh's the perfect candidate -- Sarah Jessica finds him so charming and talented and she was blown away by Hugh's recent acting in The Undoing so she's desperate to have him on the show -- Sarah Jessica, who appeared alongside Hugh in 1996's Extreme Measures and 2009's Did You Hear About the Morgans?, absolutely loves the idea of working with Hugh again and he hasn't agreed to anything yet, but she's hoping he'll say yes

Page 20: Chris Hemsworth landed in hot water with Elsa Pataky after pics of him hanging out with Australian stunner Cheyenne Tozzi hit the internet -- Chris was photographed with the model at Zambi Wildlife Retreat in Wallacia while his wife was off shooting Interceptor in Sydney and it's definitely put Elsa on high alert and she had a lot of questions for Chris when they finally spoke and Chris said he had the kids with him and it was all very innocent -- the couple has often been at odds over their careers and while Chris and Elsa try to coordinate their schedules so that their children, daughter India and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, are always with one parent, Elsa was usually the one forced to put family before fame, but now that Elsa's been working more, she's not always home like she used to be, and this little incident was a huge wake-up call because she might trust Chris, but she isn't stupid: who would want their handsome husband running around with a blond bombshell?
Page 21: Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Claudia Jordan is alleging that Kanye West made a move on her while he was still with Kim Kardashian, saying he tried years ago when she and Nikki Chu were in the club and they shut the door and she had met him before and she hung out with Kim as well and because of Girl Code, she couldn't do it

Page 28: Prince William and Duchess Kate: Stepping Up for Queen Elizabeth -- as the queen grapples with tremendous loss, Prince William and Kate Middleton provide support -- a frail-looking Queen Elizabeth sat alone due to COVID-19 restrictions at the funeral of Prince Philip, whom she called her strength and stay and the loss has been even harder than she expected -- William and Kate are lightening the queen's load and they worked on the queen birthday to give her time to mourn

Star, May 10
You can buy a brand new copy of this issue without the mailing label for your very own at my eBay store: https://www.ebay.com/str/bradentonbooks
Cover: Meghan Markle having twin girls (oops!)
Tumblr media
Page 1: Famous for doing his own stunts, Tom Cruise helicoptered in to the tiny English village of Levisham to film aboard, or rather hanging off of, a vintage train and along for the ride was his Mission: Impossible 7 costar Hayley Atwell, who was spotted running along the top of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway car and while the pair, surrounded by crew and tech experts, were total pros, it's an open secret on set that their romance is going strong and Tom and Hayley hang out non-stop when the cameras are off and are pretty much joined at the hip but not in a showy, PDA way; it's a very discreet thing they've got going on -- off-camera, 58-year-old Tom and 39-year-old Hayley enjoy quiet nights holed up in Tom's London digs, eating meals specially prepared by his private chef and they'll watch movies or read books or just chill out doing their own thing -- chilling out isn't Tom's forte, as audio leaked of him berating the film's crew for violating COVID-19 protocols, but things have calmed down considerably as the spy flick, due in theaters May 2022, closes in on its wrap date, but the ensuing publicity push will put Tom and Hayley's relationship front and center, but don't expect the devoted Scientologist to jump on any couches (a la Katie Holmes) announcing wife No. 4 as Tom has learned the hard way about putting everything out there and getting picked to pieces; this time, it's all about subtlety
Page 2: Contents, Cher got up and personal with the World's Loneliest Elephant Kaavan, who she helped relocate to Cambodia
Tumblr media
Page 3: Brie Larson in a swimsuit with butterflies on it during a getaway to Hawaii, with headphones at the ready Brooke Burke was itching to cut a rug with friends before teaching a silent disco cardio party at the Rafi Lounge in Malibu, Maria Shriver and Christina Schwarzenegger enjoyed some quality time on a stroll in L.A., Boy George sporting a bold look on The Jonathan Ross Show in London
Page 4: In a recent interview, AnnaLynne McCord revealed a shocking diagnosis: for years, the 90210 alum has been battling dissociative identity disorder (often erroneously referred to as multiple personality disorder) -- she told Dr. Daniel Amen she is absolutely uninterested in shame about opening up despite the stigma surrounding mental-health issues because that's how we get to the point where we can articulate the nature of these pervasive traumas as horrible as they are -- for her part, the 33-year-old traces back her troubles to sexual abuse she suffered as a child and as had many of the 200,000 people diagnosed with DID each year, she suppressed those horrific memories and it was only within the past few years that they began to resurface, largely after she sought treatment for PTSD related to another sexual assault and she doesn't have any memories of abuse until around 5, then from 5 to 11, she recounts incidents throughout and then, when she was 13, she has a singled-out memory and it was at that age that she developed what doctors call a second personality identity: as Little Ann, the Georgia-born daughter of a pastor said she was balls to the wall, middle fingers to the sky, anarchist from hell who will stab you with the spike ring that she wears and that helped her survive her nightmarish situation -- ironically, acting created the same dynamic, making it sometimes difficult for AnnaLynne to let go of characters she'd played and all of her roles were splits but she didn't even realize she was doing it
Page 5: Jennifer Aniston wasn't exactly touched when Justin Theroux gushed about how much he still loves her in the issue of Esquire -- complaining about feeling like a hermit during the pandemic, 49-year-old Justin nearly got misty discussing FaceTiming and texting his ex, saying he cherishes their friendship and they can not be together and still bring each other joy and he'd be bereft if they weren't still in touch and he'd like to think the same for her -- but 52-year-old Jen, whose love life has been low-key since the pair's 2018 divorce, has stayed on good terms with most of her exes including Brad Pitt but doesn't want anything more than a friendship with Justin and sure, it's flattering but she's just moved on and wishes he would too, and that goes double for some of her friends who griped that Justin tried to milk Jen's connections to further his career -- in the end, Justin needs to know he's got no chance whatsoever of winning Jen back and she doesn't feel anything remotely close to passion for him anymore
* Roseanne Barr showed off her newly svelte frame on Instagram -- back in 1998, she lost 100 lbs after undergoing gastric-bypass surgery, but yo-yo'd over the next decades but now she's determined to keep the weight off by totally changing the way she eats and she's growing her own fruits and vegetables and has a whole new appreciation of food
* Five months after he entered the Federal Correctional Institution, Mossimo Gianulli finished up his stint at his plush Hidden Hills home and now, the 57-year-old, who along with wife Lori Loughlin, pleaded guilty to paying a $500,000 bribe to get their kids into USC, can't wait to get back to normal and his biggest priority, besides spending time with Lori and the girls, is to get out there on the golf course -- the designer, worth a reported $70 million, still has to perform 250 hours of community service while Lori, who finished up her prison stint in December, is chipping away at hers, doling out meals at L.A.'s Project Angel Food -- Lori and Mossimo have resolved not to dwell on the past and they want to move forward with a positive and grateful attitude
Page 6: Fans of Angelina Jolie's stunts in movies like Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Mr. & Mrs. Smith are looking forward to her return to the screen as a wildfire fighter in Those Who Wish Me Dead and in the upcoming Marvel flick Eternals but 45-year-old Angie would rather be behind the camera and she explained the real reason behind her comeback is she loves directing, but she had a change in her family situation that's not made it possible for her to direct for a few years and she needed to just do shorter jobs and be home more, so she went back to doing a few acting jobs -- that change in her family situation, of course, is her divorce from Brad Pitt, ongoing since their 2016 split and with no bitter end in sight and it could drag on for years
* Catherine Zeta-Jones says it's no secret her 20-year marriage to 76-year-old Michael Douglas hasn't been easy and it wouldn't be normal if there weren't any ups and downs -- it's another Michael, her Prodigal Son costar Michael Sheen, who has friends whispering as both are Welsh and only a year apart, the two have been having a lot of fun shooting the serial-killer drama and they had never met before the series but they keep discovering how much they have in common -- while Michael, who has been linked with Kate Beckinsale, Rachel McAdams and Sarah Silverman, has been with Anna Lundberg for two years, friends can't help worrying because it's a little to close for comfort
Page 8: Star Shots -- Marlee Matlin kicked back during a portrait session in La Canada Flintridge in California, a loaded-down Irina Shayk in a Victoria's Secret photoshoot in NYC, Gavin Rossdale and his dog Chewy leaving tennis practice in L.A.
Page 9: Kelly Clarkson and her battle advisor Luis Fonsi on The Voice, John Stamos at the drive-in premiere of his new series Big Shot in L.A.
Page 10: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley toting her $3800 Bottega Veneta Shell bag in NYC, Niall Horan and Anne-Marie jumped into a classic Jaguar XK120 for a music video in Essex in England, Adam Driver as Maurizio Gucci on the set of House of Gucci on a bicycle in Rome
Page 11: Jay Leno takes a selfie with a fan, Kate Hudson and her daughter Rani busting out some mommy-and-me moves
Page 12: David Beckham filming a commercial for Maserati, Kaley Cuoco working out with ropes, a windswept Olivia Culpo held on tight to pup Oliver while enjoying a sunset ride aboard a boat named after her dog, Miles Teller looked both ways during a cruise in his blue Ford Bronco which is the same car he flipped in a 2016 accident
Page 13: Garrett Hedlund hit the pavement in a jog in Hollywood, Johnny Depp got behind the camera at the photocall for his film Minamata during the Barcelona Film Festival, friendly exes Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry masked up for a walk in L.A.
Page 14: 2021 ACMs -- country celebrates its best in Nashville -- Elle King and Miranda Lambert kicked off the 56th Academy of Country Music Awards by rolling up in a hot ride before performing, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, co-host Keith Urban
Page 15: Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd performed together, Carrie Underwood
Page 16: Margot Robbie inline skating during a beach day in Malibu, Kate Beckinsale carrying her two cats and her dog as she tried to read, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend and their daughter Luna took a silly mid-game family selfie while playing Hedbanz
Page 18: Normal or Not Normal? A sleepy George Stephanopoulos was caught yawning on the Good Morning America set -- normal, Emily Blunt kicked back a little too much at The Jonathan Ross Show -- not normal
Page 19: With a $1400 rainbow Gucci sweater wrapped around her shoulders Selling Sunset's pregnant Christine Quinn with her dogs in L.A. -- normal, Chelsea Handler works out with her dog on her back -- not normal, Zach Braff stuck his tongue out as he took a silly selfie filming the Cheaper by the Dozen reboot -- not normal
Page 22: Fashion -- stars shine in metallic frocks -- Becky G, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Karen Gillan
Page 23: Miranda Lambert, Cynthia Erivo, Renee Zellweger
Page 26: Travis Barker didn't hold back in his birthday tribute to girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian -- sharing a series of sexy shots with 42-year-old Kourtney, including a NSFW video of Kourtney sucking his thumb and the rocker's risque pics quickly went viral, as did Kourt's TMI essay posted to her health and wellness site Poosh titled "Rough Sex: Love It or Leave It?" -- definitely leave it, if it were up to the pair's kids; 17-year-old Landon and 15-year-old Alabama, who are 45-year-old Travis' children with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, are mortified by their dad's behavior and like most teenagers, the two are active on social media and can't avoid the new couple's loved-up posts and Travis' kids are happy that he's happy, but the PDA is weird and takes some getting used to, while Travis' stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, on the other hand, doesn't seem to have a problem as the 22-year-old posted a heart-eyes emoji -- as for spending time with Mason, 11, Penelope, 8, and 6-year-old Reign, Kourt's kids with ex Scott Disick, the pair try to restrain themselves but still the lovebirds are happily oblivious and have a hard time toning it down and Kourt and Travis are just being themselves and going with the flow; they're in love and want the world to know it
Page 27: After 10 months of dating Australian model Vanessa Valladares, Zac Efron is officially back on the market -- 33-year-old Zac called it off with the 25-year-old after things got too serious, too soon and they spent every moment together and it was too claustrophobic for him, as Vanessa, who quit her job and gave up everything to be with Zac, became a fixture on set as he worked on Down to Earth with Zac Efron and he felt guilty that she was giving up her dreams and aspirations to be with him -- despite their split, Zac, who had put his L.A. home on the market and extended his stay in Australia after meeting Vanessa, has no plans to rush back to the States because he has made a lot of friends there and feels at home
* Like many planning their vows during the pandemic, Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost had to get strategic when it came to their big day -- Scarlett said they wanted it to feel like it had an intentional intimacy as opposed to being something that felt like they were restricted by all these things -- the intimate and small event the pair threw was at their $4 million Palisades, N.Y. home in October and the ultra-private pair kept their guests safe, and the guest list was tiny and it was understated but lovely, just what they wanted -- now Scarlett and Colin have settled in to married life and Scarlett and Colin both like to steer clear of the spotlight which makes them perfectly suited for each other
* Vanessa Hudgens revealed the surprising way she was introduced to boyfriend Cole Tucker, who she's been dating since November -- 32-year-old Vanessa and 24-year-old Cole met on a Zoom meditation group and Vanessa admits that the Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop is just perfect for her and Vanessa and Cole, who debuted their romance on Valentine's Day, moved their budding friendship offline after feeling sparks via the virtual meeting app and they started communicating on their own and found out they have a lot in common -- now Vanessa, who dated Austin Butler for nine years before their 2020 split, is zooming ahead and she doesn't want to rush or jinx things, but she's saying Cole could be The One
Page 28: Cover Story -- Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: Twin Girls -- it was a somber, but loving occasion as the royal family celebrated the life of Prince Philip and amid the pomp and truly touching moments, like Queen Elizabeth sitting frail and alone, viewers waited to see what would happen when Harry and Prince William reunited for the first time since Harry and Meghan stepped down from senior royal duties in March 2020 and just weeks after their bombshell TV interview rocked the monarchy and tensions had been running high before the funeral, but everything went better than expected as William and Harry bonded and united in grief at the loss of their beloved grandfather, the estranged siblings along with William's wife Duchess Kate Middleton, waved away their waiting cars, opting to walk the half-mile from St. George's Chapel to Windsor Castle together and the trio chatted easily as they strolled -- back home in Montecito, Harry has been by pregnant Meghan's side around the clock making sure she takes it easy and the couple are in full-blown prep mode and Harry has been helping baby-proof their mansion and designing the nursery and Harry's been on his hands and knees making the house baby-friendly and he's got the latest, state-of-the-art safety devices installed around the pool -- Harry's promising visit with the royal family has given him one less thing to worry about, but still he and members of The Firm will always have different perspectives and after dismissing William and dad Prince Charles as trapped by the monarchy, Harry was persuaded by Kate to take the first step and she went up to Harry to suggest he have a heart-to-heart with William and their father, then she stepped back; Harry felt nostalgic being back home and it's a work in progress -- Harry made headway with his grandmother as well as he and Queen Elizabeth had a private meeting and spoke for three hours and seeing Harry's face made her smile again and Harry loves his grandmother very much and he's promised to bring his kids back to England later this year and he wants the Queen to spend quality time with them
Page 31: The Home Birth Brigade -- Who needs hospitals? These fearless celebrity moms opted to welcome their babies in the comfort of their own homes -- Ashley Graham, Eva Amurri, Hilary Duff, Gisele Bundchen, Gigi Hadid

Page 48: Parting Shot -- in honor of Earth Day, Alison Brie kicked off the second year of the Planet Oat Project by planting trees at Rancho Sierra Vista -- the 38-year-old also took to Instagram to bring awareness to the wildlife restoration initiative, noting that a startling three million acres of trees in California have been destroyed by recent wildfires
