Teen Wolf/Theo Raeken headcanon
- Ever since Theo was young the only constants in his life were: Tara, his hair, and a book series Tara used to read to him about a young teen superhero with Intermittent Explosive Disorder. Considering his parents were always on business trips, he and Tara had to take care of themselves from the ages of five and seven respectively. When Tara died he lost two of those things, his big sister and the book series because the Dread Doctors wouldn’t let him take the books with him. - When he was eleven he was put in a school in Wichita, Kansas, and put with “Parents” that were hired by the Dread Doctors. He knew not to get too attached to these people. However, he couldn’t help but think that the little girl they had reminded him of his big sister when she was younger. That year was when he got the two things he lost when he was nine back, the little girl who reminded him so much of Tara had taken him to a bookstore after he told her about the books he remembered so little about and she had taken some of her allowance money to buy him one of the books, the first one, he read it in a week. - When he was almost twelve he went to another bookstore, this time he was in Grove, Oklahoma. He didn’t have any money, but he had a bag that could be mistaken for a backpack. He went straight to the section of the store that would hold the books made by  ‘Jenna Geyer’ and put as many of the books as he could in his bag without it looking much bigger than it had when he entered. In the end, he got the second and third books. He saw two kids a few years younger than him with an older man right outside the bookstore when he left. The kids were a boy and a girl. The boy was blonde with freckles all over his face specifically his nose and right under his eyes which were a striking electric blue. The girl had reddish hair she had some freckles as well, not as much as the little boy though, one freckle was in the outer corner of one of her eyes which were a beautiful shade of jade green. The older man had scars under his eyes and one on his chin, he and the little girl shared an eye color. The older man had said to the kids: “Remember that your mothers are waiting back at the farm, so we have to hurry to make sure they don’t worry.” The kids had just responded with bright smiles and nods. If Theo felt a little bit jealous about their family dynamic, no he didn’t. - When he was thirteen he was put in a school in Omaha, Nebraska with another family that took care of him while he was there. The school he was going to was giving away books that weren’t checked out as much as the school library thought they would be when they first got them. The fourth and newest book in Jenna Geyer’s superhero series was one of the said books, so he got to take it “Home” and keep it. He finally read through the dedications of the books he had. The first one said: “To, mo chridhe*, my youngest son, my superhero, the inspiration of this story. Liam, I love you. Thank you for being an amazing, kind, sweet boy.” The second one said: “To, my sons, solais mo bheatha**. May you always know what it is like to have a family that loves and supports you throughout whatever you do.” The third one said: “To, my darling oldest son. Camden, may you always look after your baby brothers, no matter how far away you are or if you are with your seanair***, we can find you wherever we look. The fourth one said: “To, the fans of my books, my family, and my friends. Thank you for supporting my writing. I love all of you, and may you always know that I will be in your corner no matter what. Theo now feels a little less alone in this stupid life that he was born into. - Theo is fifteen when he hears that Jenna Geyer is making a new book, and he decides to go to the closest store he can find and get the cheapest phone he can to see the updates about said book. He has grown his hair out since the last time he got one of Jenna Geyer’s books and now has a mullet. He finds out the release date of the newest book is on October 21st, 2013, a little over a month before he turns sixteen. When he gets the book he immediately reads who it’s dedicated to. The book says: “To, my ex-husband. I hope you are happy that you hurt my sons, and I hope that you are ready to face the wrath of what happens to people like you in Dubnos****.” And Theo’s jaw just fucking DROPS to the ground because, after reading all of the updates about the latest book he could find and reading the dedications for the other books he never thought that Jenna Geyer of all people would be that harsh, but, as he knew from memories of Tara, you should never hurt someone that an over-protective sibling or parent loves with all their heart. - The next house Theo is put in his “Parents” force him to cut his hair because they don’t want to be seen with a boy who has long hair no matter if it’s a mullet or not. He cuts it, but not much, not wanting to lose the only thing that is still under his control. After he leaves that house he cuts his hair short on his own accord, not because some strangers forced him to. - When he goes back to Beacon Hills, he hasn’t yet become seventeen and he’s standing in front of his old best friends in the pouring rain, explaining why he’s back. He knows he’s being followed when he hears Stiles talking with someone who he can’t recognize the voice of. - When he gets back from Hell (for lack of a better term) he’s met with Liam and Hayden’s faces and scents, but he immediately pushes Liam against the wall, because he’s scared, but also because he feels the need to be in control of a situation for the first time in months. - After the final fight against the hunters at the hospital, he walks over to Gabe and kneels down in front of him, holding his arm and asking: “Does it hurt anymore?” Gabe had responded with a simple: “No.” Theo looked at Gabe and said: “Good.” - One day, after Theo and Liam get together, Theo is over at Liam’s after spending the night the day beforehand and they’re making breakfast for themselves and Liam’s parents when Dr. Geyer and Liam’s mom walk downstairs. Liam’s mom came downstairs first, seeing Theo and Liam singing along to We Will Rock You by Queen. “Hello, are you one of Liam’s friends?” Liam’s mom had asked when she saw Theo, having not met him before. Theo turned to her and when he saw who she was he whispered: “Putain De Merde... tu l'es... hum... Salut*****.” closing his eyes, embarrassed that he started speaking in French. Jenna just looked confused as Theo looked between her and Liam, who was wearing a matching look of confusion, while Theo continued to ramble in the languages he knows. Italian. (Liam and Jenna not understanding anything he’s saying) French. (Liam catching onto a few words, but not enough to understand what he’s talking about) German. (No fucking clue) Latin. (Again, no fucking clue) Turkish. (Liam and Jenna wearing matching looks of concern) Liam puts his hand on Theo’s shoulder and he starts to calm down. He’s still speaking in another language, but this time it’s just French. He starts to get angry with himself before mumbling: “Bon sang, Théo, Anglais. Tu parles à ton idole et tu ne peux même pas dire un putain de mot, imbécile******!” Jenna doesn’t know what he’s saying, but she knows it’s self-deprecating and she’s not having any of that under her roof. “Take your time, I don’t mind.” Jenna says, placing a hand on the shoulder Liam doesn’t have his hand on. Theo looks at her and blurts out: “I love your books!” Jenna looks pleasantly surprised at what he said while Liam looks confused because he didn’t clock Theo as the type to like superhero books. However he also didn’t clock Theo as the type to like him, so... “That’s very sweet of you to say.” Jenna replies, smiling at Theo softly, and then something dawns on him. The dedication of the first book coming back to him:  “To, mo chridhe*, my youngest son, my superhero, the inspiration of this story. Liam, I love you. Thank you for being an amazing, kind, sweet boy.“ Theo just turns to Liam, eyes wide. Liam looks at him confused. “What?” Liam asks softly, Theo stares for a little longer before he questions: “Have you never read who the first book your mom wrote was for?" Liam nods slowly before confusion turns into embarrassment, making Theo smirk widely. Jenna looks between the two before clearing her throat. Liam turns to his mom before she asks: "So... how do you two know each other exactly?" Liam blushes even more before saying to Jenna and David: "Mom, Dad, this is Theo Raeken. My boyfriend. Theo, these are my parents." Theo stretches his hand out for David to take, having already been comforted by Jenna in her own goddamned home. Jenna has a smile on her face for the rest of the day, and Theo will be embarrassed for the next month because of this ONE encounter!

Welcome to the blog where I'll be introducing and share my thoughts and opinions on one of my favorite TV series - Game of Thrones. Based on the book series "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin, this epic fantasy drama consists of eight seasons and originally aired from 2011 to 2019. I've recently been watching the series over the past few weeks and have been absolutely captivated by its progression.
The series is known for its complex characters, violence and shocking twists. The story takes place in a fictional world, on the continent of Westeros and Essos. The series features families that plays an important role in the series, including Starks, Lannisters, Targaryen, and Baratheons. The relationships within family members often fought with conflict, tension, and betrayal while they struggle to balance between their loyalty to one another and their personal goals.
Tumblr media
The show is also known for its eagerness to kill major characters which made it difficult for me to decide which character to root for, While the series keep me on edge it also makes it harder to predict what will happen in the later episodes.
But despite the many characters that come and go throughout the show, there are still certain characters who have captured my heart and stayed with me throughout the entire series:
Jon Snow is one of the important character in the series, He is introduced as the illegitimate son of Ned Stark. Jon joins the Night's Watch, military tasked with defending against the threats They're encountering, including Wildlings, Wights (zombie-like beings). Jon became a skilled fighter and leader, earning the respects of his fellow men in the Night's Watch.
Bran Stark who is the fourth child of Ned Stark, was later paralyzed from waist down after being pushed from a tower. Bran becomes the "Three-eyed Raven", a person who can see visions of the past and present. Brand also plays an important part against the Wight and in the final battle of Westeros.
Lastly, Davos Seaworth, was introduced later in the series and a loyal advisor to Stannis Baratheon, Davos also becomes an ally of Jon Snow and played an important role as one of the allies in the battle against the Wight.
To me, the Game of Thrones series is a captivating and intricate tale that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. The various characters that appear throughout the show, along with the unexpected plot twists, have contributed to its immense popularity and widespread discussion among fans.

How To Make Your Dragon
First thing’s first: Dear United States of America, how the hell are you still tolerating Nazis in your country? The world defeated Nazism over 70 years ago, and you played a big part in that. The birthplace of Nazism is more intolerant to it than you. Everyone in the world knows it, condemns it and vehemently opposes it. Everyone but you, it seems.
The World hopes that for your own sake, you use your sense, just the common one in this case will be good for a start.
On to happier things…
Last weekend I watched one of the greatest comedians in the world perform live. Jerry Seinfeld graced our shores with a one night only stand-up act and me and the wife were lucky enough to be a part of it.
He has been doing stand-up shows for 40 years now and he is still the best. He doesn’t do sex. He doesn’t do race. He doesn’t do accents. He doesn’t do impressions. He doesn’t do politics (he didn’t mention Donald Trump at all!).
90 minutes of non-stop gut wrenching laughter was all about observational humour. Much like his sitcom Seinfeld, which aired 20 years ago, the stand-up act is much about nothing. It just looks at people’s lives, as it goes by each day. The writing is so tight, the performance is so nuanced that you can almost see how much work must’ve gone behind it. He knows how to time the punch lines, he knows exactly when to pause, when to raise and lower his pitch. He knows how to draw the audience in and then take them on a journey.
There is so much class about everything that goes on about the show. Right from the moment you enter the arena. You walk in and there’s Frank Sinatra’s New York, New York blasting on the sound system. You hear that and you know, you’re in for something special. The set decor is simple, yet elegant. Everyone, from the announcer, to the opening act, to Seinfeld himself are dressed in very stylish suits - jacket, tie et al.
Best of all, there is no fanfare before Jerry’s entrance. No DJ spinning some gangsta shit or some band announcing his entrance. Hell, even the announcer doesn’t do anything at that moment. The lights go out and Jerry just walks on to the stage.
It was a dream, I never thought would come true. If I could, I would do it all over again. And if you ever get a chance, Do. Not. Miss. It!
Now, on to this week’s GOT. There are spoilers from S7, E6. If you haven’t watched it, you know what to do…
The penultimate episode came with big expectations. This series has been so huge - so many characters, places, houses, lineages, story lines, relations, alliances, enmities and deaths. So many deaths, and bringing-back-from-the-deads.
Now it is nearing towards an end. We know it, the writers know it and they need to do bring it all together in pure GOT style, in GRRM style.
But I am not sure what is their approach for this though. Are they bringing it as the fans want it? or as they want it, as George RR Martin would want it? GRRM is involved in it, no doubt. But the plot seems to distance itself from GRRM’s style.
My gripe is not with the writing per se. It is with the plotting of the episode, the narrative style and structure. GOT has taken TV to a new level and in doing so, continuously built and delivered on new expectations. And this is working against them a little bit at this point.
Here are some of my observations/questions/WTFs…My 2 Cents
- Tyrion started off well on his attempt to get Dany to cool down on the people burning part. He was starting to get through to Dany when out of the blue, he started talking about succession! WTF man? She’s right - first get me on the throne and then we can talk about who will succeed me! Plus, what about my ships that Euron Grejoy stole/burnt? What about my important allies that are captured/dead/presumed dead? It was an awkward dialogue between the two with no logical conclusion in sight. The only thing it showed was that tensions between Tyrion and Dany increased further, which was evident when Dany left for North against Tyrion’s advice.
- Speaking of North, what’s up with Arya and Sansa? Haven’t they lost enough to be fighting now? Sure, sister jealousy and whatnot but they cannot make it this easy for Littlefinger. Arya, for all her new wisdom should’ve sensed that. They argue about the moment when Ned was beheaded. Both were there. For her to insinuate that Sansa was there, and not affected by it all is a bad jab at the viewers! Yes, a lot of this is setup for the finale and the next season but come on guys, please set it up a bit better. They teased the audience with the unsheathed Valyrian dagger and then did nothing with it! And where was Three Eyed Raven 2.0? Ya, we know he doesn’t care about any of this now but he can clear the air out. He can now see what happened. So see, clear the air.
- Moving further up North, North of the Wall, the first 10 min or so felt like The Fellowship of The Rings. Unknown companions on a quest to save the world from evil. But it was weird to see that at this stage of the series they were trying to build rapport between the characters.
- There was a nice tongue-in-cheek moment between Jon and Beric (Dondarrion). Beric tells Jon he doesn’t look like his father at all. Kinda true for the show. However, in the books, Jon Snow was more Stark looking than any of his half-siblings. However, we the viewers know that Jon is Rhaegar and Lyanna’s son so from that POV, yes, he doesn’t look like his father at all!! Would Beric know something or was that an unintentional coincidence?
- How convenient was it for a small party of un-dead to be wandering separate from the main group? Just what they wanted, right. And how easy was it for them to capture an un-dead. But we all knew it was not going to end there. That confrontation between the living and the dead was so very one sided. There was no way out of it. But we have Gendry, the character who returned after four seasons to get a quick exit yet again! We also have a frozen lake. It’s not that frozen - BTW; we can buy you some time until the message reaches Dany. You just hold tight and don’t do anything stupid. Enter, The Hound, throwing rocks in a lake like a bored kid on a family picnic. The rest was an unconvincing fight sequence. But then what to do until the dragons show up? How silly would it look that the dragons show up and the two groups are just sitting quietly :D
- Why did Dany take all three of them up North? Drogon has already shown his power. Plus, it was not an attack. It was a rescue mission. Yes, I know it was necessary for a major, probably the biggest plot twist of the series. But that too came too easily. Are we to believe that the Night King has a spear more powerful than the scorpion and an arm more powerful than the scorpion? Lets say the former has magic involved. But the force with which the spear pierces Viserion was unreal. This means in battle, the dragons are essentially useless against the Night King!
- Waddup, Uncle Benjen! Where did you come up from, yo? That was the most convenient placement for a Jon getaway. He just came there, out of nowhere to get Jon to escape and then he just gets himself killed! I guess the actor was just bored and the writers didn’t know what more to do with him.
 - There is an undead Dragon now. How strong is the Night King’s army now? Think about it - GRRM’s original title - A Song of Ice and Fire seems to refer more and more to a final showdown between dragons - two (until now) spitting fire and the one spitting snow! Obviously, the Night King will ride it into the battle. Does this mean they now have the weapon to bring the Wall down? Hell, as such they don’t need to bring it down anymore, they can just fly over!
Look, I am still excited and committed to the show. I even got a HBO subscription. The fans are very invested with the characters and want to know how it all ends. Jon and Dany obviously have a thing for each other. Even though I noticed that she withdrew her hand three times when Jon held it, I also saw the look on her face when Jon asked them to leave him in the North.
We have picked our sides and we have spirited debates around the lunch room, with the Non-GOTs looking at us with blank looks! But as per my last post, we want entertainment. Game of Thrones delivers entertainment at a certain standard. While it is known for its violence and sex, it is admired for its characters, the plots and the politics. We want to see a final showdown. But we want to see it done with finesse and with justified motivations for actions as per the characters. They have kept Tyrion, Varys and Littlefinger in the background for most of this season. Remember when they ruled the plot-lines in the earlier seasons. It was so much fun to watch!
Since S4, E2 - The Lion and the Rose, GRRM has not written a single episode. He is currently busy writing the books (apparently), which are already way behind schedule. But that would mean an even more reduced input from him in the writing process of the episodes.
Maybe there is a need for bit of an impetus from the man himself - a bit of course correction, if you will.
Maybe he needs to…

by Theangelicdevil
He was never meant to live past his first year. He was meant to die by the hands of his mother who gave him Life.
But when the gods reversed time to give the Prince that was promised another chance, he too was given one. This in turn put Death's interest directed at him.
And throughout his life he shall forever evade death's touch. Due to surviving his many close encounters with Death, people started calling him the Prince of Death and soon the Death King. The only human in history that can command Death .
And his legend will be well known. More than the Prince that is Promised.
For he is Lyonel Baratheon. The future King of the Seven Kingdoms, and the only one who has Death as their greatest ally.

Game of Thrones Recap: S8E1 - "Winterfell"
We’re back! After 12 years of waiting (okay, a year and a half, but who’s counting) Game of Thrones has returned. Mirroring the reunion of long-separated characters in-show, this episode at once feels like an old friend that never left, and yet has grown and matured in undeniable, but almost imperceptible ways. Compared to previous seasons, the episode maintained the improved (if breakneck) pacing of post-book content but has characters being written more consistently with their established arcs and motivations. They even trotted out a new intro this season. While in past years, the focus was just on how expansive this story truly was, ranging across countries on two continents, the focus is now much narrower and honed in on the remaining threats.
King’s Landing
In the capital, we see Cersei overseeing The Golden Company’s arrival in Westeros without much fanfare, and to the Queen’s deep disappointment, sans elephants. With precious little time left in the series, it seems unlikely the famed Essos mercenary troop will feature as much political intrigue as suggested in the books (with much of that being shifted into Jon and Daenerys’s storyline), they do at the very least come through suited and booted under the command of Captain-General Harry Strickland. The comparatively ragtag Second Suns these are not! Sidelined sidepiece Daario Naharis can eat his heart out while we see exactly what this portends for Cersei’s grand plans.
Speaking of royal jumpoffs, Euron again asks for a downpayment on his reward for aiding the Crown and asks to bed the Queen. She reads from the Book of Olivia Pope and demands Euron earn her, and then immediately lets him into her bed anyway. While most people are, to put it mildly, bemused by Euron’s continued prominence I’m (against my better judgement) at least willing to see where the writers are taking us with his character. It seems like there’s at least one twist left in his arc, at the very least as an obstacle in the Cersei/Jaime relationship. The story would have been better served setting it up during the meandering season 5 as the series stalled for George RR Martin to finish his books, but what’s done is done. If nothing else highlighted how truly alone Queen Cersei has become, it was her resignation in letting a Greyjoy into her bed, even if it was simply to keep him around and as a tool for her alleged pregnancy.
Meanwhile, after interrupting one of Bronn’s dalliances, Hand of the Queen Qyburn relays Cersei’s offer of gold to the sellsword if he will kill her “traitorous brothers” Jaime and Tyrion. And because she has no chill, she wants him to use Joffrey’s crossbow that Tyrion used to kill Tywin to do it. I think most of us would be surprised if he took her up on the offer and betrayed his friends, especially since he got paid up front, but this furthers the idea that one of her brothers will turn the tables and be the one to kill the Queen.
Finally we were reminded that King of the Iron Islands, Euron, whose ships ferried the Golden Company, still had Yara as a hostage in his ship. This is immediately paid off as Theon leads a successful rescue while crazy uncle “Crow’s Eye” is occupied plying his wares trying to send Cersei her queenly quivers. It’s still eff Theon forever around these parts, and while I remain unmoved by his inevitable redemption arc, he did come through for once. Despite her time as a captive Yara almost immediately has a plan and decides to retake the Iron Islands while Euron is abroad to provide a fallout shelter to survive the Winter should the Northern Alliance fail. Theon however feels honor bound to return to Winterfell and help his Stark kindred. While that’s cool and all, I’d be more worried about the other Northerners if they see him first. The last thing they remember is him allegedly burning the youngest Stark heirs alive and setting Winterfell to the torch among an infestation of Ironborn captors in the North.
Sidenote: Everyone is real cool about seeing Bran alive and wheeling around. Sansa knew Theon didn’t actually burn them because he slipped up, but everyone else should be a little more shocked he’s still alive.
Last Hearth
In Winterfell, we learned when the Wall fell, Sansa called all her banners to Winterfell to prepare for the long night. Ned Umber, underaged son of the traitorous Smalljon (who died in the Battle of the Bastards) and current lord of the Last Hearth, remains a straggler and was given more horses and wagons to transport his crew. You knew from jump nothing good was going to come from that late breaking news.
Cutting to the Umber’s house seat, we find out Tormund and the plot imperative remainder of the Brotherhood without Banners survived the collapse of the Wall and have made their way to the Northernmost castle in Westeros. It’s abandoned however, with obvious signs of a recent White Walker attack. In an eerie dark, they run into Lord Commander Dolorous Edd and what’s left of the Night’s Watch also making their way south. Momentarily fooled by Tormund’s gorgeous baby blue eyes, the two parties join up to find Ned Umber’s dead body bolted to the wall with the arms of several other corpses arrayed in a now all too familiar spiral pattern of the dead. Many viewers have noted the vague similarity between this and the Targaryen sigil. It’s possible “Fire and Blood” may have a deeper meaning than we originally thought, but before we can ponder that, surprise! Little homie ain’t dead!
Well, he is dead, but not dead-dead, which is still bad news for our group as he zombies back into the fight as Tormund’s back is turned. Luckily Beric Dondarrion and his flaming sword are there to burn him, but now they know the army of the dead is between them and their retreat to Winterfell.
Winterfell
WHERE. IS. GHOST?!?!?!?! Ahem...
We start in the home of the Starks, and quite expertly mirrored the start of the series with seemingly all of the North gathered to witness the procession coming to Winterfell and the arrival of the King and Queen. They even featured a young boy as Bran 2.0 climbing around and Arya hiding in plain sight betraying her noble bearing. Not to be forgotten is the Permit Patty looks of the Northerners as they see Missandei and Grey Worm rolling through the gates, and you can tell they have clearly not seen Black people in the North before.
Jon Snow returns to Winterfell after his quest for allies (and dragonglass), and he finally gets his reunion with Bran, who he hasn’t seen since episode 2 when he was hanging on for dear life after being pushed out of the Astronomy Tower by Jaime Lannister. Any hope that Bran may have gotten some chill in the offseason and settled into being a less creepy Three-Eyed Raven was immediately blown as he remains as cold and detached as ever. He rudely interrupts the formalities between a less than impressed Sansa and meeting the family Daenerys to remind them they “don’t have time for all of that” with the Night King on the march. He does have time for an old friend, but we’ll get back to that later.
We soon find out that Sansa isn’t the only one a bit chafed at Daenerys’s presence and what that means for the political reality of the North. The trillest player in the game, and Lady Olenna reincarnated, Lady Lyanna Mormont takes time out of her busy day of giving people stank faces to read Jon for filth. We all know Jon is only concerned about the Great War against the dead, and while you’d THINK knowing their only protection from the White Walkers which had stood for 8,000 years was gone would focus them, petty is gonna petty. Meanwhile Sansa asks the QTNA such as how are we supposed to feed these extra 100,000 people you just showed up to dinner with? Did you bring food for those two fully-grown dragons with you, or did you burn all that grain from Highgarden and spend the money on winter fits Dany?
The homecomings continue as former (and technically still, depending on your interpretation) husband and wife Sansa and Tyrion get to catch up for the first time since the Purple Wedding. We get to see how much Sansa has grown, and for all the earlier haters calling her naive and dumb, she’s the one pointing out the obvious holes in believing in Lannister promises. But the real meeting we’ve all been waiting for finally happened; Jon and Arya are together again! They both downplayed what they’ve been through, but we see just how much their experiences have changed them. Jon has spent seven seasons doing everything he can to be the shield that guards the realms of men. Arya in turn did everything she could, and killed anyone she had to in order to make her way back home to her family. It’s a subtle difference in perspective that Arya invited Jon to realize before his big picture thinking misses the forest for the trees.
And then there was Gendrya!!! Sorry, got a bit excited there for a second. We see Gendry already hard at work fashioning dragonglass weapons in the Winterfell forge. Arya comes in to ask for a custom made weapon, and also to flirt, and their obvious chemistry has not changed a bit. But before that, the Hound gets to be a proud papa bear and see his baby for the first time since she left him to die (and robbed him) at the end of season 4. It went about as gruff and awkwardly as you’d expect but there was obvious love there.
While Ser Davos, former hand of the former King in the North Jon Snow, talks to Tyrion about the seemingly inevitable marriage proposal to seal their alliance, Daenerys and her boo are looking for any excuse to get out of his folk’s place and get it on. She takes him out for a date, and apparently Jon has been putting it down so good she’s letting him borrow her car with the AKA plates. She invites him to get on Rhaegal and we finally get Jon, the not-so-secret Targaryen, riding a dragon!!!!!! The dragon named after his father no less, and while we all know — and the dragons clearly know — Dany and Jon are still in the dark about his true parentage. They fly off to a cave underneath a waterfall and Dany remarks they could stay there for a thousand years in obvious echoes of the dialogue between Jon and Ygritte north of the Wall.
After getting her back broken, Dany goes with her little buddy Jorah to thank Maester school dropout Sam for curing his greyscale. Upon realizing he’s a Tarly however, she also has to not-so-delicately break the news that she flambéed his father and brother for not bending the knee. Already crestfallen, Sam is pushed by Bran to reveal Jon’s true parentage as he’s paying his respects in the Winterfell crypts.
Always on time for heartbreak, we realize this is the first time Jon has “seen” his father since they parted ways on the Kingsroad in S1E2 when Ned promised to explain about his mother the next time they saw each other. What should have been another joyous meeting between best friends is soiled as Jon is less struck by the “you’ve been playing hide Longclaw with your Auntie” news than the whole “you’re the one true King” part, and is in full denial of a man who’s been given yet another promotion he never asked for. In the space of a single conversation, he now has to grapple with the feeling that his father Ned lied to him about who he was his entire life, whether this news cripples his alliance to save Westeros and defeat the dead, the realization that the love of his life is not only now a political rival but blood family, and the weight of another crown after he just refused the first.
In our final scene we see a hooded Jaime Lannister make his way into Winterfell after finally abandoning his sister’s evil to try and fight for the living out of honor. Unfortunately, the very FIRST person he sees is Bran, who’s been sitting in the same exact spot all night, waiting for his “old friend.” See, he didn’t have time for Jon to meet the family, but he did make time for Jaime’s ass after he pushed him out of the window.
With all the callbacks, this episode did a wonderful job of subtly (and not-so-subtly) reminding us of where we started so we can appreciate just how far we’ve come. While some were expecting a bang after so long off the air, the first episode of the final season focused on setting the final pieces on the chess board, and giving us a deep breath before the final descent into madness.

Oklahoman Nolan Holloway growing up on country music, specifically angry women country where they’re singing about getting revenge on their cheating partners and killing their abusive fathers.
Imagine him just listening to music with one headphone out and all the werewolves (pretty much everyone actually) can hear what he’s listening to and it’s just Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood or Mama’s Broken Heart by Miranda Lambert. Also, him showing the Lahey brothers Blown Away by Carrie Underwood and them just absolutely LOVING it. (The Lahey Brothers love Carrie Underwood’s music and no one can convince me otherwise)
Imagine Brett coming to take Nolan out on a date and there’s just three people, two of which are also werewolves staring him down because they’re all VERY protective of Nolan even though he can protect himself, and Brett’s just standing there like: 🧍‍♂️ because he doesn’t want to do anything to make these people hate him, because they’re Nolan’s family and Nolan will do anything for them. Then Nolan comes downstairs with a huge smile on his face and Brett smiles back at him and Billie, Jolene, and Ally stop staring him down, because it’s obvious that he won’t hurt Nolan, but they still threaten him to be 100% sure.
Jolene’s dad, Robert, visits at some point and gets there while Brett AND Lori are over hanging out with Nolan and Ally. Brett just straightens his posture when he sees him because Robert, despite being very kind and caring, looks like how you would imagine a werewolf who got in many fights (Against other werewolves [or involving wolfsbane]) when first turned would look like. Plus Brett has heard about how Robert killed the werewolf that turned him, and is slightly scared of Robert but Nolan and Ally just run up to him giving him the biggest hugs and Robert’s just smiling widely and hugging them back.
Then Robert sees Brett and Lori standing there and looks at them then back at Nolan and Ally then back at Brett and Lori and just smiles brightly and introduces himself and Brett relaxes a bit but not much. Nolan notices this and when they all sit on the couch Nolan sits right next to Brett, with Nolan sitting next to him Brett relaxes the rest of the way.
Robert leaves to go back to Oklahoma, but not before getting to know Brett and Lori. Whenever he visits in the future he makes sure to bring Brett and Lori stuff, like he does for Nolan and Ally, because he wants them to feel safe and happy around him.
This got out of hand, it was just supposed to be about Nolan listening to angry country women.

I tried making an aesthetic board for Ally, one of my Holloway/Martin family OC's and Nolan's younger sister.
The pictures I get are from Pinterest and some of the photos I chose for her face are all of different people because I can't find consistent photos of one person.
