Today’s Challenge: The war of Independence lasted from 1775-1783, with the colonies. Winning the war led to the colonies forming the United States. The colonies fought this war due to a desire to self-govern and rid of unfair taxes. Today we celebrate this independence. On April 20th, 1783 the Quock Walker case ruled effectively abolished the practice of enslavement in Massachusetts. Before the year ends, the importation of enslaved African people is banned in Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. 1783 was a big year for ALL Americans! Although it would be another 82 years before slavery was completely abolished in the US, the Declaration of Independence was an important step towards such progress. I believe the prioritization of DEI corporately is another big step in the direction of realizing the totality of today’s celebration, as stated in the Declaration. A reason to celebrate -- Felix/Levi

To say Felix was having a good day was an understatement. His usual fear of leveling up, getting that much closer to his planned claimship, was cast to the side when he found out Carson would be his roommate. Their days on the cots had finally ended and that was definitely worth something to celebrate. Though he had plans with Carson later in the night, Felix was getting ready to join Doctor Levi Abrams for a casual dinner at the mansion's restaurant. It still didn't settle right with Felix that the older man had a connection to his father in some way. It was Richard Princeton himself who picked the doctor and forced Felix into going as a last resort for his disappointing behavior. The only thing that had slightly held the submissive's attention about Levi, when he was attending therapy, was the dominant's looks. Sadly that wasn't enough for Felix to actually take his therapy seriously. The sessions only lasted a month. Felix's father ended the therapy after his son had gotten in trouble with the law for his shady escort service.

Perhaps Felix was being paranoid about the good doctor. The man did appear genuine and hadn't tried to play any head games with Felix that Elijah had. Theses one on one interactions were the only way for Felix to get a feel on the type of man Levi really was and if he was one that could be trusted. The temptation for a more refined meal was also enticing to the young heir. China had been a delight of delicacies and Felix had missed the 5 star meals he had grown accustomed to growing up. One might he think he was a snob for it, but Felix found nothing wrong with savoring one or two things from the finer things in life.

The brunette sub had dressed into more formal attire. Black slacks, a white and gray thin pin striped shirt, a black vest, a gray jacket, black dress shoes and tie. If Felix could say one thing about himself it was that he was impeccable about his attire when enjoying an evening out. He had recently gave his hair a much needed cut, returning back to his shaggy banged hairstyle that only added to his boyish good looks. He was ready 10 minutes before six, a stickler for being on time. Felix walked outside of his room, closing the door shut behind him. His hands found their way into the front of his pockets, leaning against the wall, he patiently waited for the handsome doctor's arrival.
