okay, yeah, barton is a bad guy — that is pretty much a given but what if i told y'all that i got this image of him in my head of him dressed up in matching tuxedos with matilda and them just. attending a masquerade gala as part of some plot to get close to someone and actually not committing any atrocities, but they do do one small little... victimless crime near the end of it which might be Uh. Stealing some rich guys car on the way out or something and flipping him off as they drive off with it, laughing all the way, and it's honestly kind of funny in a bad way because WOW are they bold and perhapsss dare i say it's a little iconic because of the matching tux's + i just imagined them peeling out of the place in the poor guys car like why did they have to do him like that??
i mean it's obviously NOT Good that barton stole that guys car but he actually didn't hurt anyone and stealing the car wasn't even planned. it was just a spur of the moment decision, like i can just imagine them having this completely non-verbal exchange with their eyes once they see this SUPER expensive car in front of the place. because matilda just gets wide eyed like 'OOH, that is niceee' and barton just looks back at her like 'wanna steal it?' and of course she says 'yes, obviously,' like LMAOO idk i just thought it was kind of a nice deviance from the norm for them and they're bonding. criminally, mind you, but still bonding JSJSJ

' and barton is just like#' HM good question. i'll give him about a week ' and matilda is just like ' oh? you wanna bet on that? because i think he'll get a new one#TOMORROW ' and then suddenly they're making a bet over when this random guy is going to buy another car bc they assume he is and whenever#one of them is proven wrong ( probably barton in this case TBH ) he is just such a sore loser about it but in an amusing way like he's#acting like he's physically pained by it and it's like JSJSJ he really does have the capacity to be funny in a non-mean way sometimes#he just doesn't want to a majority of the time because he's him ☠️ but yeahhh i hope you guys liked this little ramble of mine LOL

on the rare occasion a case finished early, and the jet wasn't scheduled to leave until the next morning, you'd all be stupid not to take advantage of a night out within a different, new city. somehow, this time, all of you had ended up at a basketball game, per derek's suggestion. and while it wasn't your usual scenery for team outings, the change of atmosphere was nice.
and the current setting gave you the opportunity to poke fun at aaron, which you would never deny, either.
as the clock neared the end of the game, you turned away from your conversation with jj.
"hey." you nudged aaron, getting his attention. he leaned down slightly closer, allowing you to speak more directly into his ear so he could hear you clearly. the crowd was loud, and you were also on the side of him consisting of his bad ear. "wanna get me a soda?"
there was a mischievous look on your face, while aaron's fell into his signature expression. however, there was a playful glint present in his eyes. he straightened up his posture before speaking. "very funny."
you feigned disappointment. "so... no?"
"nope."
"aaron pleaseeee." you jokingly whined, your hand clasping around his forearm and tugging on it gently.
"is this your way of telling me you want us to break up?" aaron arched an eyebrow, his lips pursed upwards as he attempted to hold back a smile.
you snorted out a laugh, rolling your eyes. "yeah, you got me there."
"well sweetheart, i think we're well past the ten day mark. so unfortunately for you, this tactic isn't going to work."
you opened your mouth to respond, but jj's voice came out instead.
"what did he just say?"
the team's undivided attention was present on the pair of you, nothing but quizzical, or slightly horrified (morgan), expressions on their faces. even spencer had ceased explaining all the mathematical aspects of basketball to dave.
"if you're asking, i think you heard me."
"yeah no i heard what you said, i just can't believe you're the one that said it." jj stated, bewilderment still present.
"contrary to popular belief, i don't live under a rock." aaron answered nonchalantly, loud enough for the whole team to hear. his hand also found your hip, giving it a squeeze.
he doesn't live under a rock, thanks to you.
"never knew you were into rom coms, aaron." dave pitched in. aaron simply shrugged his shoulders.
"next you're going to tell me the two of you have a love fern in your apartment." emily cackled which resulted in more laughter amongst everyone, but that dissolved as the conversation quickly came to an end; everyone's attention refocusing on the conclusion of the game.
and while you had full clearance to tease aaron, they knew better than to push their limits.
"hey, did you really want one?" after a moment, aaron's voice closely entered your ear this time, a softness to it. "because i will-"
"no, i don't." you interrupted him with a small laugh, pressing your lips to his cheek and looking up at him with all the love in the world. "you'll catch the end of the game, don't you worry."

mark... honestly i feel like a mix of words of affirmation, quality time and physical touch. he likes to show you how much you mean to him and he's not afraid to tell you often. also likes spending time with you, even if it's time spent doing nothing, it's still meaningful to him because he has you there with him. as for the physical touch, i think i've said this before but he is touchy just, without realizing it lol. his skin to skin affection would be so subconscious to him. he likes receiving affection in words and physical forms but also likes giving it! sometimes he doesn't realize he's being touchy lot of the time, it's just this pull that he has towards you and he can't seem to shake it
renjun... hmmmm acts of service? he gets told on a daily basis how amazing, wonderful and pretty he is but when someone actually does something about it is when i think he finds it more meaningful, so i feel like that would trickle into the way he shows you how much he loves you as well. would want to do things for you and would honestly also buy or make you things that remind him of you just because words can only do so much in his mind. he likes quality time a lot, any time he gets to spend with you is nice. would prefer to do something alone though, like just the two of you spending time together in the privacy of your super cute apartment :) really good listener and gives good advice with whatever issues you may be going through at the time

OHHHHH, he would have you glued to his side 24/7. quality time is also something he enjoys, i feel like he is such a movie buff tbh, from watching a movie series or a full tv show would be really enjoyable for him because its ALSO an excuse to wrap your arms around his waist hehe. likes giving gifts sometimes but it HAS to be perfect especially if its for you. but yeah, physical touch is a big one for him. he just, likes you so much and finds a lot of joy in being able to touch, peck and hug you whenever he wants. likes running his hands on your back, shoulders, lower stomach, head, neck, etc, y'all get the jist!!
jaemin... okay so physical touch LIGHTLY, because sometimes he just can't help himself but, he usually shows his love through words of affirmation and gift giving! absolutely adores telling you how much he loves you and how beautiful, lovely and amazing he thinks you are and he is SO good at articulating what he wants to say to you and how he wants to say it. never fails to leave you flustered and fulfilled. it would be so hard for you to not feel loved with how much he spoils you haha. always buys you random knick knacks and clothes/accessories he thinks would look good on you. and listen, idk if showing off is a love language but he loves showing you off like jeno i think it goes along with words of affirmation for him. very gentle when it comes to physical touch btw :") just overall very kind and considerate, treats you like a doll
chenle... gift giving obviously as well as quality time. like i've said before, he's pretty clingy with you but i think giving you things and having the ability to work hard and make money makes him all the more inclined to want to give you everything you want and more. really really enjoys being able to have you all to himself. adores the idea of being domestic with you and just doing something in silence and being in each others presence. calms him so much and he feels he really should give you his full attention not because its something he has to do but something he really values and wants to be able to do for you. can be clingy sometimes but is mostly a quieter pda type of guy. you can never say no to him buying you things though HAHA he'll always find away, fills him with a lot of pride that he feels/proves he can provide for you
jisung... words of affirmation and acts of service. just likes being able to be seen as an adult. he's been around people older than him all his life and constantly in the state of being babied so he would like to be able to be seen as someone who could do valuable things for his partner. which is why he's always trying to help you! gives good advice and gives an even better hand around the house PFT. i mean c'mon he's so lanky and lean and obedient. so smiley whenever he sees you need something or you come to him for help. but also never wants you to think you can't do things for yourself just because he has a need to be helpful yknow? so he never fails to tell you how well you're doing and how much he loves you. has a hard time being vulnerable but it gets better since he knows you won't ever judge him for being shy about professing how highly he thinks of you always

2023 top five!

so in no particular order, here are the five fics i liked the best/am the most proud of!
considering that everything i’ve written on this account (240k words of it good lord) was published since february 23rd, i’ve got a lot to work with!
i was in the fandom back in 2012-2013 until 2016-2017, and when i rewatched it recently with some friends, i realized just how many words and feelings had been broiling since. i wrote a LOT for spn back in the day (not published, just for the pure joie de vivre), but everything on the ao3 is completely new since feb!
1. tell me, why are you still so afraid?
or, the "what do you want, sam?" fic. this one might be a surprise! it did moderately well, but i'm really happy with it! i love writing weechesters/pre-series, and i hope this fic did them justice! it hit a lot of points i liked, and i had so much fun writing it!! i'm proud of it! :)
2. you're pretty when you don't speak
or, sam's wife pov. i was shocked!!! aghast!!! frankly agog!!! at how much folks loved this one! i had the idea in the shower of all places, lmao, just the idea that wait, being sam's wife must be so lonely. it was not the usual fare (and written in second-person pov), so i was expecting it to gently and quietly flop. but no! i wrote this fic in two sittings at one a.m. the night before a paleopathology exam, so i'm shocked any of it was coherent in the morning. thank you, dear reader, if you interacted w it at all! :)
3. romans 3:10-11
ahh, romans. to other folks that write, this was one of those fics that scratched in my bones until i sat down and wrote it all out. does that sound pretentious? it was stifling; it was all i could think about. even now, i look back on it and feel like there are things that are missing, extended scenes and extra themes that i wished i had teased out. the response was overwhelming and positive and i'm so glad you lot liked it! if you ever want more...idk...lemme know...
4. we didn't get it right, but love we did our best
or, the Heaven fic! this one took awhile to make, and a lot out of me to do! it's the longest fic i've made this year, by a lot! the planning process was a lot of fun (even though charlotte was mostly asleep), and i even colour-coded themes and turning points i wanted to include. the sense of accomplishment when it was done was a great part of this year!
5. there's no such thing as a clean break, when your heart starts bleeding out
or, the stanford!era fic where dean bleeds out on the highway and decides to not tell sam about it. one of my favorite things to write is a character getting more and more out of it as they lose control (or blood), and this one was a fun challenge! i love stanford!era dean, because he's so mangled and angry and sad. i feel like that one tweet that william shatner posted where he said ELECTROCUTE HIM!!! this also feels the most like the things i wrote back in 2014, so it brings nostalgia :,)
this was WAY harder than i thought! i loved and was so proud of so much of my work this year! a top ten would be easier, but i'm happy with this list!

Random thoughts have brought me back to one older anon ask that i sent. i feel like i haven’t revealed it to you. It was about how you made me realize that i might actually be into monster fuckery HAHAHSHAHDHSH i’m coming clean now because i just wanna tell you that it’s definitely because of how you write (and other users that i follow!!). I think a recent anon said something about finding it rare to have stories with werewolves or vampires that are more on exploring how “human” they are. I would like to tell u that u are so awesome for writing that kind of stories :)) [again i am so sorry my brain is mush rn but i just wanted to tell u everything!!!! 😭]
in more personal news, i am at that time of uni where i am undergoing on the job training 🥲 and although i find the topics that i study really interesting, i am an extremely introverted person in an extroverted career choice 🥹 AKSBXJSBBDHDH my social battery is currently drained and i am now curled up in bed and ranting to u 😂

Anyways, I was like 'why not give him super duper ticklish hips'. And who else to exploit that sensitivity other than Rui. And that's how I got here. Hope y'all enjoy!

There were many things that Rui was curious about when it came to the Sekai. Like how was it created? What's inside the living plushies? Do the clouds really taste like cotton candy?? Very important questions indeed. Sadly for most of them he wasn't able to get a proper answer. Although there was one thing he always wondered about the vocaloids that inhabited the Sekai. Even though they were virtual singers, in the Sekai they were just like any other normal human. Which created this question in Rui's head... can vocaloids be ticklish? He's not sure why he wants to know. Although if it turns out to be truthful it might be fun to mess around with them, and that's the only excuse Rui could ever need to test that theory out.
One day he was roaming around the Sekai all by his lonesome. Seeing what kind of mischief- I mean seeing what the vocaloids were up to. He eventually stumbled upon Kaito who was unboxing some new props backstage. "Ohh Kaito, what are you up to?".
"Just getting the props ready for our next show. What are you doing here? Did something happen??" poor Kaito couldn't help but kick into his overprotective brotherly instincts.
"Oh no I'm fine, promise. Actually I wanted to ask you something?".
"Ahh okay, what did you want to know?".
"Are you ticklish by any chance?" asked Rui with a mischevious smirk on his face.
Kaito was taken aback by the question, his cheeks softly growing red. "Uhh... n-no I'm not" he tried to give his most convincing smile as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. Sadly for Kaito, he sucked at lying.
But Rui decided to play along "Aww I see, well I'll leave you be now". Kaito nodded as he shifted his attention back to the stage props. What he didn't realize was that a certain purple individual had snuck up on him.
"Gotcha~" teased out Rui as he gave Kaito's hips a surprise squeeze from behind. It sent the poor vocaloid jumping like a startled cat. Earning an ear-shattering squeal in the proccess. If Kaito wasn't flustered before, he definitely was now. "So you are ticklish~".
"Y-you just startled me is all!" Kaito tried defending himself but he was a lost cause.
"Is that so? So you won't mind if I do this~?" he gave Kaito's hips another squeeze.
"EEP-!" Kaito quickly slapped a hand over his mouth, trying to muffle the embarrassing sounds.
"Hehe, seems pretty ticklish to me~" Rui kept repeatedly squeezing the dreaded spot. Earning the funniest squeals and cackles from the male vocaloid.
"PFFT! AHAHAHAHA! R-RUI STAHAHAP!" he tried to swat away at the evil hands but Rui was as stubborn as he was mischevious. Kaito's knees started to buckle and he crumpled down to the floor, but Rui easily followed him to the ground. Opting to now scribble at the ticklish hipbones.
"Tiiickle tickle tickle! Coochi coochi coo~!" he teased the vocaloid relentlessly, and it was very effective. Kaito's face grew redder by the second. He had his eyes completely squeezed shut as he threw his head back in laughter.
"GYAHAHAHA! D-DOHOHON'T!" Kaito kept on screeching like a maniac as he flailed his arms around. He was so ticklish he wasn't even sure how to react.
Seeing as his eyes were starting to get watery, Rui decided to switch spots and started to softly trace along his tummy and sides. Kaito instantly gasped for air as he produced the cutest giggles at the softer touch. "Ahahaha..! W-what wahas thahat fohohor?!".
"Uhh... i-it's for science! Mmhm!" Rui nodded his head to try to seem convincing, but his own goofy smile gave him away. I guess there was no harm in letting him have a bit of fun, Kaito thought. Rui then moved up to his ribs, poking and prodding at the ticklish bones.
"Eek! Hahahahahaha!" Kaito instantly wrapped his arms around his torso as he curled up on himself. Trying his best to not squirm away.
Rui quickly caught onto what he was doing, and found it rather adorable that he was letting himself be tickled willingly. "Does someone like the ticki ticki tickles~?" obviously Rui just HAD to tease him some more.
"Gyahahahaha- *snort*! S-shuhuhush!" Kaito's face somehow got even redder at the snort that escaped him.
"Aww haha I didn't expect you to sound like a cute 'lil piggy~" Rui kept on pinching the tickle spot, earning even more funny sounds from the other.
"Gahahahaha- *snort* S-stahahap thahat!".
"Hehe alright" Rui stopped messing with the vocaloid, giving him a quick breather. "Hmm... are you ticklish up here~?" asked Rui as he tried to worm his fingers up to Kaito's armpits.
"AHH! W-WAHAHAIT!" Kaito screeched out as Rui quickly halted his fingers.
"What's wrong? Is it a bad spot??".
"I'm juhuhust vehery ticklish thehehere..!" said Kaito through flustered giggles.
"Oooh. I'll be gentle, I promise" replied Rui with a genuine caring smile. Kaito was a bit hesitant, but he then slowly put his arms up. Rui's smile grew wider as he started to softly draw small circles on Kaito's armpits.
"Pfft! Ahahahaha! It tihickles so bahahad!" giggled out Kaito as he softly kicked his legs out to try to distract himself from the tickly feeling. He struggled so badly to keep his arms up, but he managed to somehow.
"Whaaaat? But I'm barely touching you hehe~" teased Rui as he wiggled a single finger under each arm. "Tiiickle tickle tickle~" he said in a sing-songy voice.
"WAH! HAHAHAHAHA! N-NAHAT THAHAHAT!" Kaito screamed in laughter as his arms instantly came crashing down, leaving Rui's tickly fingers trapped under them. He squeezed his eyes shut once again as he scrunched up his nose all cutely.
"Hehe, who would've thought you'd be so sensitive to two 'lil fingers~" Rui chuckled as he kept tormenting Kaito's armpits with the two wiggly fingers. The poor vocaloid was absolutely losing it. He even started babbling out random nonsense.
"RUI P-PLEHEHEASE! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!".
Not wanting to overwhelm him, Rui slipped his fingers out of his armpits. This time giving him a proper break. "Are you okay?? Sorry if I took it too far..." said Rui with a saddened expression as he averted the vocaloid's gaze.
"Ahahahaha..! I-I'm fihihine..! It was kinda fun actually... so plehease don't feheel bad" replied Kaito through aftermath giggles.
Rui couldn't help but smile at that response. "So you did like it~" he couldn't help but tease him as he gave his tummy a quick poke.
"EEP! D-dohon't tease mehe!".
Rui giggled as he helped Kaito back up to his feet. "Uhm... I guess I should stop bothering you now" he turned around to leave but Kaito quickly stopped him by placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Hold on, I wanted to ask you something".
"Oh, what is it?".
Kaito's face turned into one of mischief as he asked "are you ticklish?".
Rui's eyes widened when Kaito teasingly turned his hands into claws. "Uhh... W-would you look at the time! I should really get going, I have to go... feed my robot!" he excused himself as he quickly zoomed on out of the room.
"Hey! Get back here! I'm not done with you!" Kaito yelled as he playfully chased Rui all over the Sekai. At the end of the day, Rui got a taste of his own medicine.

You just know that Kaito and Rui would have tickle fights all the time, that's just facts.
Anyways this was a lot of fun to write! I really enjoy writing for this duo
I love how this escalated from me wanting to give Kaito ticklish hips to...whatever this is lmao. What can I say, gotta relieve the lee mood somehow ajrhqkfjsjdh

im watching the Lincoln lawyer at the moment because Lana is in it and I needed someone who gets it and it’s only you I could think of!! I was watching it and it occurred to me how fucking sexy it is that we can sometimes really see Lana’s scar and sometimes it’s practically invisible but when she’s on the screen and I can see it I get ✨feelings✨ like that’s mommy for sure.

Needing
To do my nails because it's long na. Brought all the stuff needed. Execution nalang. Lol. I need to sort out my priorities, too. One thing at a time. But I am absolutely sure that living with you is on the tippy-top of my list.
Feeling
Nervous and excited all at the same time. Made the biggest (and most sure-est) decision I've ever made in my life. And it scares me. Not the fact that I'm quitting my job, or the moving part, or the living together part. But I'm scared of being a burden for not finding a job right away. my month went okay-ish, i guess? 😕 i finished my exams, and they were very hard, so i guess i might have to repeat some? but that is not an issue bc our lecturers have told us that no one passes exams on the first try, esp in second year. but still it terrifies me bc my mum keeps pressuring me since she's stressed these days too 😔
but in good things !!! my best friend's brother's wedding on the 8th, and i was invited to it which was exciting bc i've never been to big functions like that without my family! 😅🥰 it was amazing, i kinda teared up seeing the ceremony, and then had my fill of good food and desserts and even danced a little! i was introduced to my best friend's churchmates and everyone was like 'oh yeah ik you bc you are always on xx's whatsapp statuses' 😳 and literally i just realised how much my best friend posts about me for no reason. everyone and their mums knew about me and it was so 😬 overwhelming, but also a relief at the same time, bc i'm not the most social person! 😅
then i also met my friend's ex (they broke up on mutual terms) and it was my first time seeing him irl and his eyes are so pretty but then he reminded me that he's seen practically every message i've sent my bestie (none of them were bad!! i'm just very crazy when it comes to texting) and i was so embarrassed but he was very kind about it 😔🙏
and i goofed around while we were waiting by singing thinking out loud by ed sheeran (bc that's what the live band was playing) and i didn't think was that loud bc the hall was pretty noisy but my friend's churchmates all complimented my voice and asked if i wanted to replace my friend in their church's choir! 😂 it was fun bc we all kept collectively teasing my best friend, and she didn't mind bc she said she was like i was making friends since i was always home and never went out and stuff
this was all in one day, but i feel like i made a month full of memories, honestly!! 💗💗💗

To keep up appearances, you only shared a room with him once in a blue moon. That isn’t to say it never happened, but the team was too amused by your antics when you were forced apart to allow you to sleep together. Technically, they didn’t know, but they had their suspicions. You and Aaron wanted to tell the team, eventually, but first, you wanted to enjoy having one thing that was just yours, while it didn’t affect the team.
It was one of those nights when you were sharing with JJ and he was with Spencer, and you absolutely were going to sneak out to meet him. It felt a little bit like a high school drama, but at that point, you didn’t care; you enjoyed your secret little rendezvous.
It wasn’t the sneaking out of your room part that was hard; although JJ was a light sleeper, she was also very, very, tired after the long case that you had wrapped up a few hours prior. It was the sneaking into his room that was hard. You and him had decided in the car that you were too tired to do anything too crazy (sometimes you and him liked to get in trouble at midnight) (once you and him climbed to roof of the hotel, and lay there, staring at the stars until it began to rain on you).You were just going to sneak into his room and hold him, because you hadn’t held each other since the beginning of the two-week long case you had been working on. The problem? Spencer was an even lighter sleeper than JJ. As soon as he was asleep, Aaron texted you. You walked quietly down the hall and as soon as you found yourself at his door, it opened.
“Hey, stranger,” he said, and you smiled.
“Hey, mister,” you said, stepping in and examining the room, trying to let your eyes adjust. Aaron shut the door as softly as possible and then came up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist. He pressed a kiss to your neck, then your jaw, and then you turned in his arms so he could properly kiss you.
“Love you,” he muttered, and you pulled on his arm, dragging him to bed, making him lie down before you crawled over him and settled beside him.
“I love you too,” you said, pulling the covers over him. “Did you sleep at all during the case?” you asked, and he shook his head.
“A little.” He reached over and pulled you to his chest, his arms tightly around your waist.
“You know, most people need sleep,” you whispered, letting out a quiet sigh. He shook his head again and then buried his face in the crook of your neck. You turned your head and kissed his temple.
“You know, you could do better than me,” he said softly, so softly that you don’t even think you were supposed to hear it.
“Aaron, I—”
“When I first saw you in the BAU, you were absolutely intriguing. Everything interested you, and you listened to Spencer go on about, well, who knows what, really, and when you began introducing yourself to everyone, you reached to shake my hand and I absolutely froze. You assumed I just didn’t shake hands, like Spencer, and you totally respected that.”
“I remember that,” you said. “And then you shook someone else’s hand, and I asked you what was up, and you totally freaked.” You laughed at the memory.
“Look,” he said, and you turned around to face him, “I might never be your knight in shining armor, I might never be the one you take home to mother, I might never be the one to bring you flowers, but I can be the one tonight.”
Your cheeks went red and you grinned, “Did you just quote One Direction at me?”
“I didn’t think I would be caught,” he said, and you had to hold back laughter to not wake Reid. “But, if you like causing trouble up in hotel rooms—” it was beginning to hurt, not being able to laugh at the monotone way he spoke the lyrics “—and if you like having secret little rendezvous, if you like to do the things you know that we shouldn’t do, then baby, I’m perfect for you.”
You kissed him to stop yourself from yelling. “How do you have that memorized?”
“I listen to One Direction on the jet,” he said. You watched him, for a moment, squinting your eyes as he rubbed his hand up and down your arm.
“You’re serious.”
“If you like midnight driving with the windows down,” he whispered in your ear.
“Shut up.”
“If you like going places we can’t even pronounce,” he said, kissing your jaw, “much like the city we’re currently in.”
“Wichita isn’t that hard,” you said, trying to ignore his kisses.
“Whatever,” he mumbled lazily, moving up to press another kiss to your lips. “Let’s go to sleep.”
“I can’t fall asleep here, Reid will wake up and see me.”
He kissed you again, this time for longer. “Don’t worry about it, he sleeps later than I do.”
“I suppose,” you said, and you didn’t really think that he had a plan, but you knew that he slept better with you by his side or in his arms, and he was really warm, and you were really cold. So, you settled down on the pillow, your head tucked under his chin, his arms around you, and you and him fell asleep.

For Aaron Hotchner, the repercussions of not sleeping for four days included grogginess, grumpiness, and sleeping in way later than he usually would when he didn’t have an alarm (which he took as a big ‘f you’ from his internal alarm clock).
He didn’t really think about the time, however, when he woke up, because his first thought was not to disturb you, curled up in his arms. That was his favorite sight—you, sleeping next to him, because you were so peaceful. He wished he could savour that moment forever, but knowing he couldn’t, he basked in the few moments he would have of it. He knew there would always be more mornings just like this. Save for when the team split you up, he would wake up to you every single morning for the rest of his life, if all went according to plan. He feathered a kiss to your cheek, and you groaned quietly, moving your head so that he’d kiss you properly.
“Hi, love,” he whispered against your lips. You smiled, then turned to look over your shoulder, and your heart dropped.
“Spencer isn’t here,” you said. Aaron sat up quickly, looking over at Reid’s made bed. Aaron’s brows knit together.
“But it’s only—” his eyes shifted to the clock beside the bed, and he lay back down. “11:30.”
You laughed, laying your head on his shoulder. “That’s what happens when you don’t sleep, Aaron.”
He wrapped his arm under your waist and pulled you closer to him. “Maybe he didn’t see you.”
“The blankets are on the floor,” you muttered. Aaron was a restless sleeper and you had gotten hot in the poorly conditioned hotel room (when you fell asleep you were freezing, but somehow you began overheating in your sleep, so that was a thing), so naturally, they ended up there.
“Maybe he didn’t notice.”
You laughed. “Yeah, maybe he didn’t notice the person curled up in bed next to his boss, who went to bed alone last night.”
“Technically he didn’t see me go to bed,” he said, and you kissed his shoulder. “What’s the likelihood that we walk downstairs and the entire team knows?”
“Well, considering I never went back to my room, JJ probably freaked out, then Reid probably caught up to her and told her, and then they probably debated telling Morgan and Emily, and then decided no, but it accidentally came out, and then Morgan would have told Garcia, because he tells her everything, and Emily would have told Rossi, just to keep him in the loop.”
“But Rossi already knows,” Aaron said, looking down at you.
“But they don’t know he knows.”
Aaron sighed, looking back up at the ceiling. “It’s fine, right? We were going to have to tell them eventually, right?”
“Yes,” you said. You pushed yourself onto your elbows and ran a hand through his dark hair, kissing his temple. “Don’t stress it. You know they love us, they’ll support us.” He nodded, but he kept staring at the ceiling. “I love you so much, you know that?”
“I love you more,” he said, turning onto his side and pulling you to his chest. “You’re right, you’re right.”
“I know I am,” you said, kissing the exposed skin of his collarbone. “Now, should we get ready to leave, now?”
He nodded, and you reached over him to grab your cell, and there was a text from JJ, that read, ‘Spence told me where you are, I have all of your things, don’t worry about going back to the room.’ Which, normally, you would think is very nice, except for you didn’t have any clothes, save the pair of sweatpants and the t-shirt you had been wearing the night before.
“Shit,” you muttered under your breath, and Aaron, who had been walking around, froze.
“What’s wrong?”
“I don’t have clothes, JJ took my bag.”
He took a deep breath, and he bit his lip (since when did he do that?). He reached into his bag and pulled out a pair of jeans— your jeans.
“Why do you…?”
“In case something like this happened,” he said quietly. You grinned at him, sitting up on your knees at the end of the bed, throwing your arms around his neck. “You can borrow one of my shirts,” he said against your lips. He wrapped his arms around your waist and lifted you off of the bed, and you instinctively wrapped your legs around his waist.
“I love you,” you said, kissing him. “So,” another kiss, “damn,” and another, “much.” And then you kissed him and didn’t stop, playing with the hair at the back of his head. He kept his arms tightly around you, but he walked over to the table and sat you down on top of it, his hands immediately finding your hair.
He pulled back gently, staying close to you. “I love you, too,” he said, “but the team will kill us if we take any longer.”
You huffed, crossed your arms, and then said, “Fine, but we’re continuing this at home.”

Approaching the team sitting in the lobby, you could feel your heart beating erratically. They all had shit-eating grins on their faces.
“When were you going to tell us?” Rossi said, and you could feel Aaron’s death stare from behind you.
“I like your shirt,” JJ remarked, and you crossed your arms over your chest— a dress shirt that didn’t fit was still a dress shirt that didn’t fit when rolled up to your elbows and tucked into your pants.
Emily was a fit of giggles, and Morgan wasn’t much better.
“Can we please go now?” you said, and the team nodded.
“Everything makes sense now,” is what Emily said, and you turned to Aaron, slipping your hand into his.
“I might never be the hands you put your heart in, or the arms that hold you any time you want them, but that don't mean that we can't live here in the moment, 'cause I can be the one you love from time to time,” he whispered in your ear, and you laughed, loudly, as you began walking to the SUV.
“If you like to do whatever you’ve been dreaming about, baby you’re perfect,” you said, and you smiled at his smile.
“You’re perfect,” he said, kissing your cheek when the team wasn’t (“wasn’t”) looking. “Now let's go home.”
