Hey all, Dani here.
Yeah, so this post is a little late today, but that happens sometimes. At least I’m still getting it up for all of you. Welcome back to my weekly post where I wrap up all the books I’ve read and all the shows/movies I’ve watched. I am so ready for the weekend already. Damian and I have our bi-weekly sessions of D&D to run on Friday evening, and then we are having our friends over for a board game day on Saturday, but other than those plans, my other plan is just to read and finish the month of June out strong.
Oh, and we’re going to be buying a riding lawn mower on Friday as well, which will make our yard maintenance/adulting duties so much easier. It’s an exciting time for us, everyone, lol.
#gallery-0-16 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-16 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-0-16 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-16 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Let’s start with all of the books I’ve finished in the past week. I read Blood Bound by Rachel Vincent, These Witches Don’t Burn by Isabel Sterling, Call it What You Want by Brigid Kemmerer, and Going Off Script by Jen Wilde. I’d say that’s a decently productive week of reading.
#gallery-0-17 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-17 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-17 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-17 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
As for my current reads, I finally got started on The Shadowglass by Rin Chupeco yesterday, and I am about 100 pages in so far. I’m so nervous about this trilogy’s end, but I’m also so excited to see how it ends. My current e-book read is Protect the Prince by Jennifer Estep, and then today I decided to just go ahead and pick up What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera. I’m hoping to have all three of these finished before the end of June, so we’ll see what happens.
#gallery-0-18 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-18 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-18 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-18 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
I think my next e-book read will be Specter by Katie Jane Gallagher, and I’m currently debating on my next physical read. I could pick up Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger, which will give me a great start to the July Round of #AGameofBooksathon, or I can try and finish off the Pride Reads I had on my TBR that I didn’t get to…like The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzie Lee. So, I guess I’ll just see what kind of mood I’m in in a couple days.
Okay, now for what we watched…that is quite a bit actually. We watched a few more episodes of “The Big Bang Theory” Season 4, and then we watched the animated “Aladdin,” “What Men Want,” “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part,” “The Amazing Spider-Man,” and “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.”
I can’t believe we’re at the end of June already. Seriously, we are halfway through the year now. Wow. My Top Ten Reads of Jan-June 2019 post will be coming next week, and with 15 contenders on my list right now, it’s going to be difficult to get down to 10, so that’s fun.
Well, that is all from me for today, but I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.
Weekly Wrap-Up (19) Hey all, Dani here. Yeah, so this post is a little late today, but that happens sometimes.

#AGameOfBooksAThon | TBR | 2019
Creator: ThePerksOfBeingNoura
I loved Game of Thrones. Even though I technically didn’t start watching until January of this year. I did manage to catch up in time for season 8. Which I did enjoy. I get why some are mad but I didn’t find it that bad.
With that being said soon as I saw this readathon I knew I wanted to participate.

Review: Skyward by Brandon Sanderson
Hey all, Dani here.
It has been another very nice day at Gen Con, but I’m glad we’re going to have an early night tonight. Some relaxation at the hotel, especially the hotel hot tub, will be great.
All right, well let’s just keep moving and grooving with all these posts and reviews and awesomeness.

Hey all, Dani here.
Fine, so I have two posts to go up today. Didn’t I mention in my earlier post that because of the #Reviewathon I was going to have to do some bonus posts? Bet you didn’t think that would start up this soon. Haha, anyway, with all of the books I’m hoping/planning to read over the next month, I’m definitely not going to be able to keep up with the reviews if I just stick to the…

Hey all, Dani here.
I’m back with another review, and this time it is an early review. I haven’t done too many of those lately, but expect a lot more to come in the next month or so because I plan on reading a lot of my review copies from NetGalley. Actually, yesterday NetGalley announced that it was hosting a reading challenge, specifically a review challenge, but you kind of have to read to be…

Hey all, Dani here.
It has been a difficult week of trying to adjust back to a day shift schedule. But I am getting so excited for my birthday next week and for our trip to Gen Con, so I just have to get through one more day of work and then a weekend of errands and packing and all of that.
Oh, and because of the issue of adjusting my sleep schedule, we haven’t really watched much over the last week, just some episodes of “The Big Bang Theory”… Oh, and we did watch Catching Fire, Mockingjay Part One, and Mockingjay Part Two.
Okay, now let’s talk about reading progress.
#gallery-0-16 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-16 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 20%; } #gallery-0-16 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-16 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Okay, let’s start with what I’ve read over the last week. Obviously I finished reading Skyward by Brandon Sanderson, re-read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling (I ended up reading the Illustrated Edition this time around-though I’m still showing the Ravenclaw edition here), Shatter the Sky by Rebecca Kim Wells, and Black Clover Vol 11 by Yuki Tabata.
#gallery-0-17 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-17 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-17 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-17 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
For my current reads, well, I’m still working on City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett. I sort of set it aside a little bit so I could focus on my reading challenge books. I still really want to finish it, so I may end up making it a priority for this weekend.
I’m also still working on Wonderbook by Jeff Vandermeer, and it is definitely a high priority for this weekend. It has an interesting way of presenting the information and I think it may be helping to wake up my creativity. Maybe? I hope so.
And I also recently started The Merciful Crow by Margaret Owen. I’m about halfway through and really enjoying it, so I should finish it soon.
I only have one more book to read for #AGameofBooksathon, and I’ve finished my reads for DND Readathon. Of course, I’m barely into my TBR for The Reading Rush, but I should be able to finish that in the next couple of days. So…my plans for books to read or start to read over the next week include The Dragon Republic by R.F. Kuang and House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig.
Honestly I think that’s it for today. Have you read any books lately that you’d like to recommend? Let me know in the comments, and I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.

Hey all, Dani here.
Before I get to talking about books, I first need to give a huge birthday shout out to my other half, Damian. It has meant a lot to have him join me on this blogging adventure, and by the time this post goes live, I’m hoping that we’ve had a wonderful day together.
Anyway, I had a lot of fun with the first round of this readathon. It was created and hosted by Noura at The Perks of Being Noura, and I enjoyed my personal challenge of choosing my house not by which was my favorite, but which had the fewest members. That turned out to be House Baratheon, which had nobody until I joined. I’m happy to say that three other people joined me, so while we are still one of the smaller houses, I think we have pretty decent odds at being a great house in the overall rankings.
All right, let’s get started with this wrap up and TBR.
Round One Wrap Up
The Game of Thrones: First book in a series/trilogy : Urban Shaman by C.E. Murphy
House Targaryen: Book with a Mythical Creature or Dragons : Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto
Daenerys: Book featuring a Strong Female Character : Gameboard of the Gods by Richelle Mead
Westeros: Book set in a fictional place : Roar by Cora Carmack
House Tyrell: Book with a plant on the cover or a green cover : Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson
House Stark: Book with family dynamics or siblings : The Shadowglass by Rin Chupeco
House Lannister: Book with a red cover : Kingsbane by Claire Legrand
House Greyjoy: Book with pirates or set at sea : Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller
House Baratheon: Book with a king or queen/royalty : The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot
A Clash of Kings: Sequel : Soul of the Sword by Julie Kagawa
Wildlings: Paranormal : Blood Bound by Rachel Vincent
And I also re-read A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin just because.
With all 11 categories completed, that means I qualified as a King/Queen, and hopefully earned a lot of points for House Baratheon.
Let’s talk about Round Two, which isn’t quite as long. There are only seven prompts instead of eleven, but the prompts are all based on genres, which means that I’m going to have to read some genres that I don’t generally pick up. Hopefully it will be a good month of reading.
Round Two: The Seven Kingdoms
Fantasy : Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim
Horror : Specter by Katie Jane Gallagher
Sci-Fi/Historical Fiction : Skyward by Brandon Sanderson
Young Adult : Shatter the Sky by Rebecca Kim Wells
Middle Grade : Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger
Mystery : The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton
Contemporary/Romance : Screen Queens by Lori Goldstein
So obviously this is what I’m hoping will be my TBR. Could I end up reading The Rise of Kyoshi by F.C. Yee for the Fantasy category? Maybe. Is it possible that I different Contemporary/Romance woos me away from what I have planned? Possibly. But as of right now, this is what my mood is saying I want to read.
Because when it comes to this TBR, three of the books are ones that I have e-galleys of, and three are books that I already own. That means that one of the seven I don’t have in my hands yet, so…I could always end up going to B&N or something and finding another book for the prompt. We’ll see.
Anyway, that’s all I have for today. Good luck to everyone participating in #AGameofBooksathon, especially those in my wonderful House Baratheon.
I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.

Hey all, Dani here.
It has been another very productive week of reading, even if it’s not a huge number of books read.
#gallery-0-16 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-16 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-16 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-16 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
On my list of books I’ve finished in the last week, let’s start with Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto, and The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot. Then I dove into Sorcery Of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson–this is the book that will be in the June OwlCrate, but I couldn’t wait that long to get my hands on a copy, so I went to the store and bought it. Then I wanted to spread my reading journey over several days because the book was just soooo good.
#gallery-0-17 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-17 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-17 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-17 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
I guess next up is current reads. Well, I’m still technically working on The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon, but I have made no progress since last week. I’m also still re-reading A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. But I’m also working on reading Soul of the Sword by Julie Kagawa AND Kingsbane by Claire Legrand. Whoo, that’s a lot of big books.
#gallery-0-18 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-18 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-18 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-18 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
As for my upcoming reads, those include Gameboard of the Gods by Richelle Mead, Blood Bound by Rachel Vincent, and The Shadowglass by Rin Chupeco.
When it comes to watches, we went to a drive in movie theater over the weekend with a buddy, so Damian and I saw the new live action “Aladdin” for the third time, and then we saw “Godzilla: King of the Monsters.” Our local drive in is great because it has two screens and each screen does a double feature each week. It’s a fun experience. Oh, and we also finished watching the third season of “The Big Bang Theory,” and started watching season four.
Weekly Wrap-Up (17) Hey all, Dani here. It has been another very productive week of reading, even if it's not a huge number of books read.

Hey all, Dani here.
I’m joining another readathon. It kept popping up on my Twitter feed so I investigated it more and decided that this sounds like a fun time. For all of you Game of Thrones fans, or really, even if you’re not, this readathon was created by Noura from The Perks of Being Noura, and the first round is starting soon.
#AGameofBooksathon will have three rounds (but the third round is totally optional). Round One will take place from June 1st until July 1st, Round Two will be July 2nd until August 1st, and then Round Three actually takes place from June until the end of the year.
You can find out all the specifics on Noura’s blog, but when you sign up, you choose which of the main houses from GoT/ASoIaF you want to be a part of. Completing categories for each round of the readathon will earn points for your house, and there is also a Group Book that will earn some major points.
When I decided to sign up for this (Thursday evening, so just a couple days ago), I saw that my favorite houses (Stark, Targaryen, and Tyrell had the most people signed up in them. On the other side of the spectrum House Baratheon had nobody signed up. So I may have made the super fun decision to be a member of House Baratheon just to see how well I can do. I don’t know if other people are going to join me, but either way, I’m going to try and earn as many points as I can.
Round One’s categories are mostly based around various factions from the series. Round Two is The Seven Kingdoms and its categories focus on genre. Round Three is about reading the rest of the books in A Song of Ice and Fire. The group book for the readathon is A Game of Thrones–which I’ve already read and plan to re-read. But then Round Three adds in A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows, and A Dance with Dragons, and each of these books will also earn a lot of points for your house. I’ve been meaning to continue with this series for a while, so I guess this is perfect motivation.
I have not picked out anything for the Round Two categories, because that is something for me to worry about when I get closer to July, but I have started to formulate a TBR for June based on the Round One prompts, so let’s go over all of the categories and then I’ll talk about the books I’m thinking about reading.
Round One
The Game of Thrones: First book in a series/trilogy
House Targaryen: Book with a Mythical Creature or Dragons
Daenerys: Book featuring a Strong Female Character
Westeros: Book set in a fictional place
House Tyrell: Book with a plant on the cover or a green cover
House Stark: Book with family dynamics or siblings
House Lannister: Book with a red cover
House Greyjoy: Book with pirates or set at sea
House Baratheon: Book with a king or queen/royalty
A Clash of Kings: Sequel
Wildlings: Paranormal
Round Two: The Seven Kingdoms
Fantasy
Horror
Sci-Fi/Historical Fiction
Young Adult
Middle Grade
Mystery
Contemporary/Romance
Here’s what I have for my TBR as of right now. I have so many books that actually work for multiple categories, but I’m trying to read a different book for each prompt. Honestly considering that I read something like 15-20 books each month, I think I should be able to fulfill all eleven prompts with their own unique books.
Two of these books are technically re-reads, but one was released in 2011 and the other came out in 2013 and I read both right before or right after their release date, so it’s almost going to be like reading a new book. The other four are newer releases that I just really need to read, so it seems like the time to put them on a TBR.
Are you thinking of joining #AGameofBooksathon? It seems like a good time and a fun way to read even more books, so I’m looking forward to it. That is all from me today but I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.
#AGameofBooksathon Announcement & Tentative TBR Hey all, Dani here. I'm joining another readathon. It kept popping up on my Twitter feed so I investigated it more and decided that this sounds like a fun time.

The Reading Rush Announcement and TBR
The Reading Rush Announcement and TBR

Hey all, Dani here.
Yep, I decided to join yet another readathon/reading challenge. I’ve almost completed my challenges for both #AGameofBooksathon and DND Readathon, and the NEWTs are in August.
The Reading Rush was formerly called BookTubeaThon, and this year it will take place from July 22-28. You can go to this video for the announcement and this videofor the reading challenges. Also, this…

Hey all, Dani here.
Wow, I only have two more work days to go on third shift and then I can get back to my normal hours. Having to do a temporary switch from being a day person to a night person has been interesting and frankly pretty tiring. But it’s also been pretty great for reading and blogging, and also a little bit for getting things done around the house.
Damian and I have finally started to get our geeky art prints up on the walls, and I picked up a closet organizer kit and started getting our Master Bedroom closet straightened up. I’ll need to get another one of the kits, but after that I think we’ll finally be able to put up the cosplay crafting area that Damian’s been wanting. I’m getting ready to turn my attention to getting the reading area together in the Master Bedroom and then also getting a desk and other accessories so I can have an office corner for novel writing and blogging. We’ve been living in our house for four months now and there’s still a lot we need to do in order to be fully settled. Like, we still don’t have proper seating in our living room–we’re using bean bag chairs at the moment.
Anyway, you guys aren’t here to listen to me ramble on about our house or anything–though if you would like a tour of all of our geekery, then let me know. I’d be happy to put together a geeky house tour for you. You’re here to talk about reading and books. So let’s get into talking about everything that I’ve read in the past week, what I’m currently reading, and what I’m hoping to start reading next.
Books read: My Hero Academia Vigilantes Volume 5 by Hideyuki Furuhashi and Betten Court, VIZ Manga Sampler 2019 (featuring 7 different newer manga releases), Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits Volume 1 by Midori Yuma and Wako Iota, Roomies by Christina Lauren, Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits Volume 2 by Midori Yuma and Wako Iota, Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits Volume 3 by Midori Yuma and Wako Iota, Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits Volume 4 by Midori Yuma and Wako Iota, and Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim.
Wow, so yeah, I read a lot of manga in the past week. What can I say? I really enjoy them and I read them quickly. If I wanted to be smart about it, I would write up rough reviews now so I can fine tune them later for my Manga Monday posts. At the rate I read these, I could actually probably have posts scheduled through the end of the year if I sat down and wrote them up.
For my current reads, as per usual, I’m in the middle of a few different books. Three of them are reads for the two readathons I’m participating in, and then City of Stairs is because I just felt like picking it up. I’m trying to take my time with it, but so far, I’m really enjoying the political intrigue and complexities of the world, even if at times it is a bit confusing.
Finally, for the books I’m hoping to start in the next week, again, there are so many options for this one. I’d like to finish my TBRs for both #AGameofBooksathon and DND Readathon, especially since I am planning on doing The Reading Rush (formerly BookTubeAThon), and that readathon is July 22-28. It would be nice to finish my current reading plans before trying to dive into something else. I will have my Reading Rush TBR up in just a few more days, but none of those books are featured in today’s post. Nope, those are other books that I might be picking up in the time before going to Gen Con.
Oh, and for my writing update, because I am doing Camp NaNoWriMo this month, I’ve only managed to write a couple very rough scenes or snippets of scenes for my novel. However, I have done a lot of thinking, planning, world-building, outlining, and more. So for the purposes of Camp NaNo, I am counting all of those behind-the-scenes words. Writing has just felt difficult for me the past couple of years, but I really do miss it, and also, I’ve had so many people asking about the release of my second book, so I’d like to be able to give them a solid answer in the near future.
As for watches, we haven’t actually watched a whole lot. We started the sixth season of “The Big Bang Theory,” and on my own I’m sort of starting a re-watch of “The Tudors” from the very beginning. I don’t know; I’m in a bit of an angsty sexy drama mood. It happens.
Weekly Wrap-Up (22) Hey all, Dani here. Wow, I only have two more work days to go on third shift and then I can get back to my normal hours.

Hey all, Dani here.
It is once again time for the weekly wrap-up, where I talk about all of the books I’ve finished, the ones I’m currently reading, and my plans for the upcoming week, as well as  talk about what Damian and I have done and watched over the last week. For the record, I think this might be a pretty big wrap up for just one week.
Let’s just jump into it.
Books read: Comics Will Break Your Heart by Faith Erin Hicks, Wicked Fox by Kat Cho, The Language of Fire by Stephanie Hemphill, Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger, Screen Queens by Lori Goldstein, Specter by Katie Jane Galloway, The Dead Queens Club by Hannah Capin, and Vox Machina Origins II Issue #1 by Matthew Mercer, Jody Houser, Olivia Samson, Msassyk, and Ariana Maher.
After seeing a lot of other people doing a similar thing, I decided to use July to sit in on the two OWLs I did not complete for the OWLs Readathon, so that I can sit in on my NEWTs in August, so I need to complete Defense Against the Dark Arts: Title that starts with “R,” and History of Magic: A book published 10+ years ago. To complete those I will be reading Roomies by Christina Lauren and I will be re-reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban because I finally got my 20th Anniversary Ravenclaw House Edition.
I’m participating in the July round of #AGameofBooksathon, and the prompts are genre based, so I’ve completed Horror by reading Specter by Katie Jane Gallagher, Middle Grade by reading Keeper of the Lost Cities, and Contemporary/Romance by reading Screen Queens by Lori Goldstein.
I also last minute decided to join the DND Readathon, which is a readathon based on Dungeons & Dragons. The first round, which is taking place this month, is the round focused on the Races of D&D. Basically by completing all the prompts for a certain race, you can choose that race for the character you will be building throughout all the different rounds. So, based on the books I had already planned on reading, and on the prompts that I found, I will be aiming for the race of Dwarf. The prompts for Dwarf are to read a book with foil on the cover, read a classic, and read a book you acquired for the cover. So I will be reading The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling, and The Language of Fire by Stephanie Hemphill. So I’m doing pretty well on this readathon already too.
My current reading plans are all over the place, because honestly I’m in a bit of a mood reading phase at the moment. Though I do have a TBR in place for a couple different readathons, it’s like I’d rather be reading other books at the moment. Plus I know I have quite a few NetGalley ARCs piling up on my Kindle app. So I have a lot of reading I’m hoping to be doing over the next week and a half while at work. Because, yes, I am on one of my favorite jobs, one where I can actually write blog posts, watch some BookTube videos, and read books while technically on the clock. As long as things are running smoothly with my system, my time is fairly free. It’s great.
So these are the books I’m reading at the moment, or will be starting very soon. I’m looking forward to all of them, so I will say a quick thank you to the publishers for being so kind as to grant me copies of each of these books through NetGalley. Speaking of NetGalley, I have been approved for quite a few books these past few weeks, and I’m honestly thinking that I should probably put a limit on my book buying until I catch up on some of these NetGalley reads. I think my review rating is at like 69% or something like that, and I would love to be at the 80% or higher that they recommend you have. It’s just that I’ve really been in a physical book mood these past several months, so having all of these e-arcs isn’t as productive as I wish they could be. But that’s my personal problem, and is not the fault of the great stories I keep getting my hands on.
Looking at the rest of the books I’m hoping to read, oh man, I don’t know what I’m going to pick up next.
Maybe one of the above books. I don’t know. I’m actually doing really well with my readathon TBRs, so a couple of these books will finish off those TBRs, and then I’m sort of still in a contemporary romance mood, so there’s that too.
I can’t say that I’m in a reading slump, because I’m still reading quite a bit. I mean, I’ve already finished 11 books this month, which is really good. But it’s more that I’m in this weird phase where I’m not quite sure what I want to read, and it’s almost to the point of indecision leading to reading nothing or like 5 things at once, so I guess we’ll see what happens.
I’m also trying to get things all organized and prepped for our trip to Gen Con here in a few more weeks. I want to have my blog posts written and scheduled, but I also need to think about what my convention reads will be, because I always like to take a book or two with me, so I can read them before bed, first thing in the morning, and sometimes while waiting in lines.
Oh yeah, and then there’s what we’ve watched to talk about as well. We’ve made more progress on getting through “The Big Bang Theory” Season Five, and we watched “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse,” “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” “Men In Black International,” “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One,” “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two,” “Ghostbusters,” “LEGO Ninjago,” and “The Pacifier.”
Wow. we watched a lot of stuff. To be fair it was a holiday weekend and we decided to be cheap and lazy and not really do a lot of running around and stuff. So aside from going to the drive-in movie theater to see the new Spider-Man and MIB, we didn’t really go anywhere. We ended up lounging around and watching a whole lotta movies. Which was nice and relaxing, so I’m okay with it.
Okay, well this has been a rather lengthy weekly wrap-up post, but hey that happens sometimes. I had a lot of books to talk about. That’s all for today, but I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.
Weekly Wrap-Up (21) Hey all, Dani here. It is once again time for the weekly wrap-up, where I talk about all of the books I've finished, the ones I'm currently reading, and my plans for the upcoming week, as well as  talk about what Damian and I have done and watched over the last week.

For this I decided to try and pick mainly Net Galley review books. Since I’m behind on reviews. For two of the challenges I have two options. Mainly to make it a little easier on myself, since I have eight or nine reviews to read this month.

Hey all, Dani here.
Whew, it has been a long week already, and we’re only halfway through it. This weekend is my Man of Honor’s birthday(Friday) and this weekend is also Damian’s birthday(Sunday). So I get to celebrate my two favorite guys, which is awesome. Of course I’m also hoping to accomplish some more reading, because this month is almost over. That means that we are almost halfway through this year. I can’t believe that June is almost over. It feels like it just started.
Anyway, let’s get started with all the bookish updates from the past week.

Let’s start with the books I’ve finished in the past week: Soul of the Sword by Julie Kagawa, Kingsbane by Claire Legrand, and I think by the time this post goes live I should have Gameboard of the Gods by Richelle Mead finished as well. That means that I’ve finished another three books for #AGameofBooksathon. I have almost finished all of the prompts, which is awesome.
#gallery-0-12 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-12 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-12 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-12 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
So, for my current reads, I’m working on Blood Bound by Rachel Vincent, and Call it What You Want by Brigid Kemmerer. But both are ones I should finish pretty quickly, so I might as well say that The Shadowglass by Rin Chupeco is a current read as well. Finishing Blood Bound and The Shadowglass will complete all 11 prompts for #AGameofBooksathon. Blood Bound also qualifies for Jazzy June because it is a re-read, which is great. I’m doing really good with my reading challenges this month.
Well, except for one of the challenges, and that is GLBT Book Month, so I’m hoping to dedicate the rest of my June to reading some of the Pride books I’ve been meaning to read for quite some time. I don’t know if I’m going to pick up some contemporary, some fantasy, or a little blend of both, but we can definitely expect next week’s update to include a lot more books celebrating the greatness that is the LGBTQIAP+ community.
Oh, and as for watches, we’ve finished about half of season four of “The Big Bang Theory,” but I think we’re going to put our show watching on hold so we can try and get all caught up on Critical Role; we’re four episodes behind, and we want to be all caught up before we go to Gen Con and see the live show.
Weekly Wrap-Up (18) Hey all, Dani here. Whew, it has been a long week already, and we're only halfway through it.
