gonna try and pull an allnighter to finish my living dex in pokémon y, trainers... i'm only 114(!!!) away, which is kind of a lot, but almost all of them are from kalos. we're so close... -lisia
(this is your reminder that the 3ds online ends on tomorrow, april 8, at 4 pm PDT, 7 pm EDT, and other times depending on your timezone. get your last online trades and stuff in then, trainers!!)
Goodbye to both the 3ds and WiiU online servers. I never had a WiiU but man all the times I played on my 3ds...
All the times I'd hop on New Leaf and enter dream towns... Just to explore or goof off. All the times I went to club tortimer and play with others (or were mostly there to catch night time palm tree bugs to make money.) New Leaf was definitely one of my most played 3 DS game. It brought me a lot of comfort and joy.
All the times in the Pokémon games where I'd wonder trade or go on GTS. X and Y were the first games I shiny hunted. Can't remember if my first hatched shiny was mudkip or poochyena but it was one of those. Leaning to Mudkip since someone gave me a Japanese mudkip and I believe that's what started me doing the Masuda method.
I remember all the totally not hacked pokemon I'd get from wonder trade. I kept them because I liked them and now they hold memories.
I played smash bros for a while but on my old 3ds the circle stick ended up breaking because of how much I played it.
Miitopia was really fun because I'd like to see what miis the characters would end up being.
So I decided because it would be funny I'll see how many ribbons I could get on a nosepass.
And I was making slow progress. I only wanted those that were basically instant or through the championship fights. Make a nosespas the almighty. I started with Ruby and was working my way up. Slowly.
Sad times struck when I found out the 3ds online is going and with it pokemon bank. And worse, my copy of omega ruby now crashes every time I beat Steven (that bastard can't take a loss).
So I thought about it and decided I would still transfer pokemon across, including my little nosepas all the way. But which ones. I decided that it would be my strongest teammate from each generation. That way, the ribbon is still there just on a different pokemon.
I know I still have like 2 weeks, but I also have a shed load of uni work, so I wouldn't get enough free time to work on it.
:(
At least my little nosepas and other friends from my youth now look happy on switch.
it's sad that the 3ds and wiiu online is shutting down, but something I hope that the modders will do after they eventually make online playable again is making tri force heroes region free. it's honestly a nightmare to find 3 people wanting to play it all in the PAL version of the game...
Another L from the Big N, ending online play for 3ds and wii u. Its lame considering the 360 and ps3 still have online servers up, but probably they just trying to shift to their new online systems for switch and whatever their next console is.
