J-Fashion Terms for Beginners 3: Electric Boogaloo
Tumblr media
Angura Kei: A Visual Kei substyle inspired by traditional Japanese underground theater performances (Angura = Underground), but it is occasionally associated with Ero-Guro Visual Kei bands. People who wear Angura typically wear traditional Japanese clothing such as kimonos, military uniforms, and school uniforms (seifukus and gakurans usually) but with a gothic twist or references to the supernatural (such as those triangle handkerchiefs worn by ghosts in Japanese folklore). It isn't uncommon to see them wear shironuri makeup as that was worn by Angura actors during the 1960s and 1970s. From what I've seen, Angura isn't typically a style one wears day to day due to its over the top and elaborate nature. Some known Angura Kei bands are: MUCC, cali≠gari (though they are more known for Ero-Guro), Zombie Lolita and Inugami Circus-dan.

A truly theatrical blast from the past...
Tumblr media
Erokawa: Translates as "erotic cute", this aesthetic and style is also known as Erokakkoi (translates as "erotic cool"). Erokawa contrasts most kawaii trends by incorporating the concepts of sexiness seen in the West. While it is mostly a "visual art" type of kawaii style, I have seen outfits that do match this style; they tend to be mainly pastel clothes styled after lingerie, actual lingerie, clothes that share elements with Agejo Gyaru, shirts with sexy kawaii girls on them, or just your typical "tight sexy outfit with references to kawaii culture or ecchi on it. For accessories you'll see chokers, leg garters, handcuffs, harnesses and occasionally cat ears. The idea of cuteness is associated with neoteny, fragility, innocence and youthfulness; the idea of sexiness is associated with adulthood, experience, excitement and maturity. Sexiness can technically be seen as what cuteness is meant to evolve into once we all turn from children to adults. But Japan is famous for loving everything that can be considered "cute" and not approving of "non-cute" things unless they are made "cuter" for mainstream media, and yes...this partially includes sexuality that is natural for adult women to have. Enter famous Japanese Idol, Kumi Koda. Unlike most idols who's contractual purity is stricter than a Disney Channel star's, Kumi broke the mold by taking erotic elements in her artistic style and showing how they too can be seen as valid and acceptable. In contrast to other "sexy" kawaii trends, Erokawa was created with feminism and for women to take ownership of their sexuality.

Let's get sexy~...and adorable!
Tumblr media
Ero-Guro Kei: If one thinks of Visual Kei they are most likely thinking of one of these subgenres and styles; Kote Kei (means "old school kei", this is basically how Visual Kei bands dressed in the 90s), Tanbi Kei (means "aeshetic school", this style is inspired by classic European fashion), or Ero-Guro Kei, the style we're discussing here. In case the name didn't give it away already, Ero-Guro Kei basically means "erotic" and "grotesque". As described by the website TV Tropes, this style is meant to be an Interplay of Sex and Violence. Most Ero-Guro Kei bandmembers tend to wear clothes similar to Kote Kei, but with more exposed skin (i.e. not wearing a shirt or wearing a low-cut one) and tons of S&M/bondage or fetish elements like chokers, corsets, harnesses, leather and lace or mesh worn together and masquerade masks. Despite this, for most people the "Ero-Guro" part in Ero-Guro Kei usually comes from the vulgar and raunchy lyrics in their songs coupled with horrifying music videos. Some famous Ero-Guro Kei bands include but are not limited to: cali≠gari, Dir En Grey (during their earlier albums), Kagerou and ANTI-KRANKE.

Kitchen Interiors, Bad Roommates, 1930s Costume, and Levitation: Highlights from the Minneapolis Central Library Picture File
A range of cabinets on the 3rd floor of the Minneapolis Central Library hold the library’s Picture File, a collection of 600,000 images—in both color and black and white—sourced from books and magazines between 1895 and 2001. The collection provides a visual history of American culture in the twentieth century, tracking changing trends in fashion, interior design, and advertisement, as well as subjects in the news, reproductions of paintings and photography, and portraits of notable people. Many of these images were never digitized: you won’t find them in a Google image search.
Throughout the years, the Picture File has been a resource for local artists, History Day project students, theater set designers, zine authors, Halloween costume brainstormers, advertising creatives, and others looking for visual inspiration. The library’s annual report of 1943 even noted with pride that librarians from St. Paul Public Library had borrowed material for a children’s exhibit: “the reason for this—the St. Paul Art Department has no such collection of pictures.”
The files, indexed by subject, often reveal surprises. Librarians used the headings to play with meaning and stimulate the visual imagination, asking the question: what is a picture about? The way you read an image can change its focus and draw out new and unseen elements and contexts. The juxtaposition of images in a folder creates new connections: for example, “Everyday Life” groups mid-century advertisements for household appliances next to images of dogs and nuclear families next to the uncanny photography of Diane Arbus and conceptual works by Marina Abramović.
The Picture File contains images rich in local history as well. Clippings from historical Twin Cities publications and non-local photographic prints from the Minneapolis Times photo morgue, complete with original airbrushing, can be found throughout the collection. While most images in the collection can be checked out, folders with Minneapolis-related subject headings have been transferred to Special Collections for safekeeping. And local photos from the newspaper morgue can be found in the Hennepin County Library Digital Collections.
Above images from the Picture File at Minneapolis Central Library:
1. Interiors: Kitchens before 1960 2. Roommates, Bad 3. Costume: 20th Century, 1935-1939 4. Levitation
This post was written by Mark V. from the Art, Music, and Literature department. An exhibit on the Picture File will be on display in the atrium of Minneapolis Central Library for the month of April.

Hi babes idk if you want to make headcanons but could you do headcanons for how Beatrix dresses?
Absolutely! please do ask me anything
Fashion headcanon - a Beatrix lookbook
While writing this headcanon, my brain couldn't stop thinking about @nutaella-kookie 's take on a lookbook for Beatrix. So I will list down all the points I agree on, then go into detail.
-Huge Grace Kelly inspo
-Shades of cool blue, light sand/beige, cream, touches of brown and white
-Shuu and his mother do have a similar colour palette because they both know what looks good on their fair warm-toned skin, with their golden locks and their piercing blue eyes.
Richard Jenkins photography
Jenkins is specialised in historical period so if you are looking for any accurate historical fashion depiction: here
And obviously, I had to take a look at his work after I'd found the Beatrix dress on Pinterest. (yes, the red one).
Through the centuries, she would dress like this in the human world: following diligently the fashion trends and requirements of the upper-class.
Mostly wears her hair in an elegant bun, thin strands of curly hair escaped from the hairdo and framing her face as she roams the castle, looking for her eldest.
She doesn't like it when she can't keep her hair under control - because her curls soften her features.
In the human world, she would not care that much about her appearance or about the variety of her wardrobe. She focuses on having lasting pieces that solely evoke her status.
She is rather modest: no eccentric lacy pieces at the end of her sleeves, no too-tight corset, no hats jabbed with peacock feathers, or shawls of the finest Chinese silk, embellished with threads of vermillon and gold and her shoes are simple heeled-boots, often black.
But she does like adding some feminine accents to her outfits with pearls essentially. But also lockets. Victorian golden pendants set with small rubies, sapphires or turquoise, glazed with faceted glass, smooth enamel. She owns a whole collection. All with different sprigs and flowers carved on the precious metal - each unique. Karlheinz gifted her one, a stylised chrysanthemum carved on the concave side of the locket. It was a few days after Shuu's birth.
Tumblr media
On her day-to-day life
A boss. (because I find the term 'girlboss' rather infantilising, in my humble opinion)
Beatrix is an efficient woman. The strict, rigid façade left aside, I do imagine she would favour practicality and versatility over anything.
Here, we are talking about how she would dress in modern days, both in the demon and human worlds:
Suits.
Silken shirts, white embroidered blouses, polo-necks made of the finest wool, long sleeves always, coordinated vests and high-waisted trousers made of viscose topped with a fine leather belt to accentuate her waist, golden, fine bracelets, no rings except her wedding ring.
The mature combo of old money and dark academia.
She would make an amazing Ralph Lauren model.
Tumblr media
Haute Couture gal
Ok Bea, time to shine.
3 words: Dior.New.Look
And now, 3 names: Christian Dior, Jacques Heim and Pierre Balmain
@samsvenn : being a Dior model is in Beatrix's DNA, that's why Reiji looks so damn good. (your headcanon was amazing)
She was born to wear these 1950s-1960s dresses. Full petticoats, boned bodice, slightly padded busts.
Only top quality fabrics: velvet, damask, taffeta, silk and lace obviously.
Straight or sweetheart necklines mostly, she doesn't like to draw too much attention to her cleavage while her shoulders and neck are already exposed by her hairstyle and dress.
Even if Cordelia is known for her alluring, flamboyant looks, Beatrix manages to shake the audience with her composed yet regal posture.
But there is this one time when she left everyone astounded.
Even Karlheinz.
We are talking about a long silk lavender dress, paired with small diamond earrings, a matching necklace and a oh-so delicate tiara. The light purple accentuated elegantly her eyes yet highlighted her golden locks. While the rich fabric was lightly reflective - making her shine like a distant star.
She'd wore this dress at a reception, soon after her honeymoon with the king. The court was marvelled, Cordelia gave her a dirty look but stayed calmly next to Richter while Karlheinz offered to open the ball.
She accepted, took his gloved hand and held it firmly as they started waltzing magnificently.
It was soon after her honeymoon.
And soon before she'd announced him that she was pregnant.

canvas and roots for everyone (or as many as you would like as usual) :3
Hello! Thank you for asking!! :D
Hope your day is going/has gone swimmingly :3 I'm so glad you asked for roots MEHEHEHEHEHEHEH you tapped one of my interests uwu (I'm putting it first and the other -longer- under the cut)
Tis the prompt list
roots: Is your OC's look inspired by any specific style of clothing or fashion trend? What are the roots and/or inspiration for their look?
Alyra: Tudor fashion for the formals, and partly it's because of so many fanarts depicting Ferelden as XVI century England, partly because she'd love the aesthetic and the pearls tho show off.
Raina: Regency England male fashion. It's simple and sleek, it makes her look even taller than she is, it's not uncomfortable, you can easily fight in it. Also some Pirate fashion.
Garrett: Cottagecore through and through, with some grunge on top.
Aisling: 1920s, some 1960s. Simple, sleek cuts you can move around with, gowns are shorter, a little boxy but with many details. She loves tailored jackets with pointy shoulders, so there's a touch of the XVI/XVII century. (her formals are all -save for the Halamshiral dress- chosen by Josephine, and she digs for her a 1640s or 1830s styles)
Radha: She was the most difficult to pinpoint, style-wise. I picture her very well in modern clothes and half Y2K, half Dark Academia is the one she'd like best, I think? Add some Spencer Jackets from the 1790s.
canvas: Does your OC have any scars, piercings, tattoos, or other markings? Do they display or cover them up at all?
Alyra: Post final battle: three long scratches that start from her left cheekbone, take her neck and collarbone. Courtesy of the Archdemon. Another long scar on the right shoulder, one on her palm, down, her thumb, from when she first tried to skin a rabbit as a child. Various others over her body. All on the front, she will proudly say. She displays them equally proudly, they're a testament that she's a survivor, remind people that she's a fighter, she fought for them and intimidate them. Her Vallaslin is for Sylaise, she has her ears pierced and both helixes.
Raina: A lot. Scratches all over the place, parrying is not something she learnt easily ("The best defense is attack!" no, dumbass raccoon, it isn't). Some on her bicep, the long nasty one from the Arishok all over her midsection... A lot of scratches and punctures on a particular point on her left waist she struggled to not leave open. Can't be bothered in covering them, honestly, would say it charms the ladies. (the ladies being Merrill). The Kirkwall flag, stylized, tattooed her left arm. No piercings.
Garrett: Scratches on his arms which has absolutely, definitely, certainly nothing to do with magic. Not at all what are you implying. One on the palm of his hand, it's jagged and not pretty. He will say that he got it fighting and winning single-handedly with the hugest Pride demon with his bare hands. He cut himself while carving a pumpkin. Wears mainly long sleeves to avoid questions. No tattoos, considers getting earrings but hasn't got the inspiration yet.
Aisling: A cut on her right temple from escaping Haven, she fell badly and injured herself quite a lot. A cut on her left waist, interrupting her Vallaslin, from Crestwood, she got close to an enemy to avoid electrocuting Blackwall with a spell. Blackwall didn't expect her too, she slipped avoiding his elbow to break her nose and she got stabbed instead. A ragged puncture on the back of her right thigh, a giant in the Emerald Graves stomped on her leg and there was a rock behind. Various other scratches here and there. The only way she cares is that her tattoos are broken, plan on asking Deshanna to fix them. Her Vallaslin is for Ghilan'nain, she has her ears pierced. In the DadWolf AU she has a shitton of tattoos, namely: Her left arm is covered in elfroot and bees. A stylized horse with thick lines going around her right thigh. Newton's Gravity law on her left ribcage with the solar system. A couple of halla horns on her wrist, the feminine symbol on her right arm, a stylized wolf on the back of her neck.
Radha: Broken nose. Scars on her right fingers and palms, from grabbing a dagger too tightly. A couple on her knees, she was walking on rocks and Pavyn and Aisling called her back abruptly, she fell knees-first. Three scratches on her left arm, some other cuts here and there, a burnt sign on her shin. Doesn't like to go uncovered all that much, is irked by questions, so most of her scars got erased with healing magic. Her Vallaslin is for Dirthamen, three piercings on one ear, two on the other, her left nostril is pierced too.

As a fashion student how would you describe your style? And what are some of your favorite fashion looks that you always come back to admire?
Mmm okay you gave me a lot to discuss. So now you’re getting a detailed little mini fashion report I hope you enjoy <3
Tumblr media
My Style: Lately I feel like my personal style has been largely influenced by a lot of vintage 1960s/70s trends. I feel as if that look will come to be a sort of lasting trend throughout the 2020s as a whole, which has to do with a lot of things. Push from sustainability movement has made people shop vintage a lot more, and 60s/70s were kind of the last era in American clothing before fast fashion and more polyester and tshirt styles really took over, so they’re going to be the most affordable/good condition thrift clothes to look for. It was also sort of the last era of masses still making their own clothes. Post-70s were when department stores really surged throughout the country. But a classic sort of 1960s shift dress (like the black one pictured) is a really fun, comfortable, and easy to make yourself design, since, it’s basically just a box lol. Even if you’re not very skilled at sewing, you could pretty easily take materials from an older dress and make it into a fun shift dress with a pattern.
Classics: Quality Jackets. I can never say it enough. You get so much more use out of them than any other item (besides shoes). There is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing the same jacket 5 days in a row! I think a good leather moto jacket, printed blazer, and either a solid peacoat or just a nice clean tan trench coat can instantly solidify a great wardrobe and go with pretty much anything you wear. (Honestly on days that I’m lazy and don’t want to really get dressed at all, I’ll wear tshirt/jeans or jean shorts, and just one of those three/fourish styles of jackets and instantly look put together and great). - the other big classic that I constantly recommend to people is to simply buy pants that aren’t jeans. Belted trousers are the comfiest long car ride pants I love them so much AND they look so much more professional than like, leggings or something. Corduroy pants or cigarette style pants are also really great and easily elevate any standard tshirt outfit. Love them, they never get old.
On the Outs: Pleather jackets and pants. Pleather really just, isn’t great in general. Yes, brands will tote it around as “Vegan” and promote it under a sustainability lens. But the reality is that for quality faux leathers (like what designers like Stella McCartney use) those are still going to be very expensive. And pleather is not quality. It’s extremely hard to maintain in the long term, and most pleather items land in dumpsters or resale after one season of wear. Save your money, skip it. Save up for real leather, find it second hand, or just skip it altogether.
Upcoming: Again with push from sustainability movements, brands seem much more interested in using deadstock fabrics, which we can do as consumers as well. The patchy/multi print blazer is something we saw on high fashion runways this year, as well as in a lot of street fashions. If the collar on a blazer you love is in disrepair, you can always mend it. Adding blocks or accents of other prints or colors will make it a more unique piece that’s really made just for you.

The Epidemic of Unoriginality
By Kitty Quinn, Co-written by Milan Lazovski, Photographed by Milan Lazovski, Makeup by Kitty Quinn, Styled by Milan Lazovski & Kitty Quinn, Model: Mimi Chabi
Tumblr media
As a child there is little freedom in choosing what to wear— dress codes, financial dependency, and parental guidance, however, when we get more freedom stylistically, we are met with pressure to adhere to trends in order to be accepted socially. In today’s rapidly changing world, social media seems to be at the center of existence for people of all ages. Before, fashion trends came and went in steady 20-year cycles. Now with the rise in usage of TikTok skyrocketing 180% among people from 15-25 years old over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, and companies rapidly mass producing cheaply made clothing, there has been an increase in micro-trends resulting in what seems to be the death of originality as we know it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Before taking a look into originality, there needs to be an understanding of the main driving dilemma behind modern originality: fast fashion. The term “fast fashion” is commonly used to describe the poor working conditions and quality of companies such as Shein, Fashion Nova, Pretty Little Thing, etc. However, rarely do people look into the history of this issue. During the industrial revolution, machinery capable of producing clothing at a rapid pace, such as the sewing machine, was created prior to the creation of sweatshops. One of the first known instances of mass garment production took place in 1911 following the industrial revolution at the New York Triangle Shirtwaist Factory, where the first major fast fashion-related tragedy occurred— a fire killing 146 young, immigrant workers. This set a precedent for what would later evolve into the modern fast fashion industry, where poor conditions have almost become the norm.
Tumblr media
During the late 1960s and 1970s there was a boom in personal expression through clothing which had never been seen in prior decades as a result of the end of the Great Depression and World War II. For the first time, leisure was prioritized and developments were seen in the fashion, art, and media industries. In order to satiate this increased demand, companies like Zara and Forever 21 were created in the 70’s and 1980s. These brands made their profits by imitating runway styles in an attempt to give the middle class an opportunity to sport the latest cycles of ready-to-wear couture at an affordable cost. While this made haute couture more accessible to the everyday person, there was a moral dilemma because it stripped designers of their work and depreciated the value of their designs. This new angle of clothing production resulted in a “throw away” culture, in which consumers would purchase clothing for the sake of following trends as opposed to practicality and personal style. Consequently, this has led to consumers buying whatever items were latest on the racks, rather than items that they know they will love and wear for an extended period of time. Over time, the financial success of these clothing companies has led to an oversaturation of the fashion market. Today, it is more common to find a fast fashion brand rather than an ethically sourced clothing brand. Less than 3% of the clothing worn by Americans is made in the United States, which is a stark contrast to the 95% that was seen in 1960 alone. Little to no clothing today is made by hand or small designers, thus making truly original pieces of clothing nearly impossible to find. Due to the mass production of clothing, a market has been created where designs need to appeal to the majority of consumers— making originality less increasingly profitable. Companies would rather create cheaply made garments that follow current micro-trends, rather than take a risk on well-structured, unique items.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, this issue cannot be entirely credited to these companies— there is a demand. During the COVID-19 pandemic, TikTok slowly became the favored social media app by a majority of consumers. While social media usage as a whole has been on an exponential rise since the 2010s, TikTok’s growth was unlike any other social media platform. People have become more connected than ever seen before, which as a result has made trends and ideas more interconnected. It can be argued that the synchronicity of advancements in fast fashion and social media has resulted in the modern struggle for originality. There is now a formula on TikTok that is commonly used among “influencers”—- capitalizing off of the latest micro-trends, using popular audios and continually rehashing other creators’ content which in turn creates a pack mentality among consumers. While there is originality in some capacity through those who have the resources to set the latest trends, it is few and far between due to those of the general public who follow the golden formula in order to gain online success and attention. While the public is busy trying to gain their fifteen seconds of fame, chasing and replicating popular influencers, they can no longer tell if they like the trend or just want to follow it. This is not to say it is wrong to follow trends– every era has its own distinct look– but there has become uniformity rather than originality. For example, models who are known for their distinct style, like Bella Hadid, are flocked to by consumers who can easily turn and take these looks and run them into the ground due to fast fashion reproductions, therefore making these “unique” styles repetitive and uninteresting at a certain point. There is a large difference between taking inspiration and being completely derivative, which is a line that has been blurred by platforms like TikTok creating an epidemic of unoriginality.
Tumblr media
While this is seen most evidently within fashion, the same argument can applied to any form of artistic expression ranging from literature, film and even the current vernacular— it seems like social media has created an environment where we are all reading the same books, watching the same films, talking the same and also dressing the same. Haruki Murakami put it most eloquently, “If you read the books everyone else is reading, you can only think what everyone else is thinking”. Gatekeeping has earned a bad rap— it’s fun to just have things for yourself. Enjoying media that is considered “niche” creates small communities surrounding these works, finding others that enjoys these things creates a much stronger connection as opposed to sharing it with the world. Humans are complex creatures, to put them in boxes of conformity is absurd. As cliche as it sounds, embracing the characteristics that make you you is the only antidote to the epidemic of unoriginality.

Chicwish Fashion Haul: A Comprehensive Review of Latest Trends
Fashion trends may appear completely arbitrary and chaotic to you if you're not familiar with how they originate or with their general cyclical nature. However, fashionable trends frequently have deeper meanings and are affected by previous trends.
For instance, compared to the 1950s, short skirts and more androgynous forms were popular in western society during the 1960s. The modest, conservative, and traditionally feminine clothing that women were required to wear in the 1950s gave rise to this fashion. Furthermore, the fashion of the 1950s reflected the expectations placed on women's behavior and roles in society.
Fashion trends are cyclical because they are all responses to previous trends, which create a pull and push amongst them all. Everything is a reaction to a response to a response. Not to mention the fashion trends that exist within subcultures.
If you are looking for the clothing items based on latest trends, Chicwish is a leading online fashion portal that strikes the right chord by offering the best in fashion clothing. From tops, dresses to outers, bottoms, lingerie, swimwear, jewelry, sweaters, and plus sizes, Chicwish has it all. The online fashion portal offers the best of both the world- style and durability. Another unique thing about Chicwish is its steadfast commitment to environment protection.
For those looking to buy the most fashionable clothing products from Chicwish, below are some popular chicwish reviews on the internet. Let’s have a look at them.
I was shopping around for a guest wedding dress when Chick Wish pops out on my IG stories, they had exactly what I was looking for, I ordered the dress and a couple days later it was at my house's front door. The website is very easy to navigate and the check out process very smooth and simple. I love my new dress. The price was in my budget and the quality is very nice, especially the cut and length of the dress. – Lorena L.
I ordered my skirt on 14 Dec and it arrived today (21 Dec). I live in the UK. I love it! Good material, beautiful fit. I am a UK size 12 on the hips but I don't have a skinny waist, more brick shape than pear. I'm a 14 upper body. I ordered size L. It fits snugly around my waist, no more mine pies or it won't fit for Xmas. I'm super happy with it. It's classy! Would use Chicwish again. – Rachael P.
I ordered a black jumper with love hearts on this jumper, which is beautiful and soft and well made. The red jumper is lovely to. Custom service is brilliant. I made a mistake and emailed them thinking it was another company. I'm truly sorry about this happening. I will definitely be ordering again. I ordered 3 jumpers all just as nice as the other. I ordered 5 psirs of socks, those great quality also. Thank you for your support. I have learning difficulties and autism, and get confused. So sorry. B – Berny L.
Had a pretty good experience with Chicwish, the materials are much better than other companies from China (skirts) and the color represented on site is pretty accurate too. Customer service is fast to respond, which is always a pleasure, and helped exchange/refund easily. Would love them to have a depot in Australia so to help with returns as shipping back to US is costly. – Jamie L.
I order size XS for both blouses and skirt and it's perfect fitted on me. Im 165cm height and 52kg weight. Good quality of materials, feel so comfortable and light, the colour looks real pretty. I definitely become a big fan of this shop! Both skirt and blouses can be matched with any other clothes. I wear a skirt with black sleeveless shirt to work and received a lot of compliments as well as the blouses i wear it with white short skirt and it lift up my look perfectly. – Chira M.
The Conclusion
For several years, Chicwish has been helping fashionistas choose the most stunning and affordable clothing. If you have recently bought something from Chicwish, you can share your view in the form of a Chicwish honest review.

The fashion in Ireland during the 20th century was pretty calm, all things considered.
Often it was small things that made the biggest impact.
Each decade there was a new trend, very specific to Ireland at the time.
The 1910s had the broach. A beautiful piece of jewellery.
The 1920s, the Shawl, which gracefully would fall over a woman's body.
From the 1930s, the Aran woolly sweaters - 3 islands I visited where they still speak the native Irish tongue today.
1940s, the headscarf, which made a woman look modest and still is seen on some of the older generation to this day.
1950s, the tweed suit which was fashionable and chique.
1960s introduced the mini skirt into Irish fashion and is also still very popular to this day, even with the younger crowd.
1970s, had the capes which gave a mysterious yet sophisticated look.
1980s were all about the frock look.
The 1990s had one of my favourite looks, the polo neck shirts.
All these outfits and trends helped shape Ireland to what it is today in the fashion world.
