Yesterday, I described an imaginary spherical shape in the head. The centre of the smallish sphere shares the centre of the top end of the medulla oblongata. At various points of this imaginary sphere is where I have been perceiving the source of vibrationless sounds during my meditations.

What seems to be happening over recent meditations is a shrinking of the imaginary sphere. The percussion like sounds that I have been perceiving continue shifting their position around that imaginary smallish sphere but they are now closely packed. One percussion like strike was peculiar during last night’s meditation. Of all the clicks and clacks that I heard, this one was different.

There was only one perceived strike last night that felt more purposive than other strikes. 2 decades back when I read books authored by Paramahansa Yogananda and Swami Vivekananda, I came to know that advanced meditation involves life energy, perceiving a variety of heavenly sounds and interiorising one’s hearing.

What isn’t mapped through a lot of these books is the order in which meditational phenomena occurs. If the order was specified, the reason for one phenomenon following the other would make perfect sense. Maybe, I was not able to discern the order of unfolding phenomenon in the books I read. It may also be that the order changes according to the meditation technique of choice.

All relaxing and calming techniques seem to exist just to free life energy’s involvement in body-mind dot-knots. Freed life energy reveals to the meditator that the blessed forces have a mind of their own. Once freed, they reside in the spine and reveal their presence as involuntary shakes during meditation. Once they carve a way into the head, the sense of hearing interiorises.

Hearing interiorises because life energies don’t want their presence to be known as vibrations in the head. They are an ever-healing, always life-giving kind of force. They don’t want to cause any damage to the human in which they run benignly. They choose to be heard, once in the head.

It is incredible. The phenomenon of hearing vibrationless sounds from one’s own head is an incredibly powerful spiritual blessing. This is how rising life energies will now take a detour from their straight path up my spine via the forehead. With the single purposive strike from last night, I know that the sound is most on track when it is throwing sound to the front of my head. From a central place in the head, it is dealing with blocks on a specific route straight ahead.

I had a really nice day doing fall things like making pumpkin pie. H wasn't able to spend time with me the way I would have liked but we've scheduled something for tomorrow morning before work. I felt sort of dirty today even though I haven't been doing any major exercise or anything and I am due to have a full shower tomorrow but rather than fight the feeling and try to power through, before bed I let myself have a relaxing bird bath with a little bit of bubble bar. It's so nice having moments like that to myself and it does genuinely make me feel better. I am going to try to keep finding joy in small moments. The clocks have turned back which I always find disconcerting, it heralds the start of a very dark (literal and metaphorical) time. I have a genetic predisposition to SAD so I try to keep an eye out. I think finding joy in small moments will be really helpful.

You know how in canon SY and LBH have practically no age gap by the end? Say hello to a story where one is! And it’s, like, not centuries.

The story is well paced, and the time skips feel natural. Like, Shen Yuan complains in the beginning that he can’t skip the training to become a powerful adult cultivator because it’s real life, but then doesn’t think in any scene afterwards that “Man, if this was a story, this would be included in the time skip.”

I got a little distracted by the end, but that might just be the time, lol.
