失落的棒球文學(下)

歐美文學中有眾多運動題材闡述體育競技的美感，體裁有小說、詩歌、戲劇甚至電影。臺灣運動文學起步相對較晚，70年代少棒的興盛，逐漸走入文學作品當中，文類則以散文和小說為主。

 臺灣棒球發展和時空背景息息相關，文學軌跡亦然，從少棒熱潮做切入如廖咸浩的〈入侵者〉，以國族情感為軸，書寫臺東紅葉少棒歷史；李潼兒少文學〈龍門峽的紅葉〉，刻劃為國爭光背後殘酷的人性；類似題材還有張啟疆的〈胡武漢與我〉，記述紅葉王牌江萬行超齡冒名頂替胡武漢出賽的故事，令人反思勝利至上的觀念下，犧牲掉健全發展的運動家精神。

  2005年九歌出版《臺灣棒球小說大展》，收錄小野、侯文詠、楊照、吳明益、林宜澐、劉克襄及上述提及的李潼、廖咸浩和張啟疆等九位作家的十篇棒球小說，皆為棒球文學一時之選。2013年九歌再推出《臺灣棒球小說風雲》，除上述前輩經典舊作，也開始收錄年輕新銳作家的作品。

  運動出版品在上世紀八零年代以技術學習工具書為大宗，直至「曲爺」曲自立的NBA著作，將籃球場上球星對決以武俠小說風格撰述；「曾公」曾文誠以《三國演義》歷史筆法，把軍陣肅殺氛圍帶入棒球投打對決，不僅膾炙人口一時，也在文風做出突破，隨當時媒體進程用更普及的傳媒如報章雜誌等進入讀者視野，啟發次世代的心靈，也拓展了運動書寫發展的無限可能。

  野球人出版年代曾公著作之豐無須贅述，同時期籃球亦有麥田出版社的運動家系列，曲自立、唐諾、劉大任及徐望雲等作家讓九零年代百家爭鳴。進入千禧年後，詹偉雄的《球手之美學》、蔡鵑如的《名人堂，棒球的聖殿》以人物為經、歷史為緯，將運動創作之美帶向嶄新的境界。

  近代以職棒為背景的小說紛陳，如1998年馳星周的《夜光蟲》、2015年朱宥勳的《暗影》皆是；此外張啟疆的《不完全比賽》、朱宥任的《好球帶》及秀霖《國球的眼淚》，也都是我曾閱讀或向讀者推薦的佳作。

  運動旅遊書是近年另一盛行的題材，從智庫出版的《進攻NBA主場》到李承曄的《旅行！日本職棒》、《旅行！美國職棒》，雖然風格不屬文學範疇，但卻是劍及履及，了解美日運動文化的絕佳工具書。

  隨球星個人品牌行銷的蓬勃發展，運動員傳記出版事業方興未艾，2015年起天下文化陸續出品林智勝、高國輝、陳金鋒、王建民的傳記，堡壘文化則有官大元、詹智堯、羅力，其出版範疇涵蓋國內外棒、籃、足、網壇等眾多球星的個人傳記。

  進入社群時代，普羅大眾和文字工作者長年受淺碟文化和快速資訊侵蝕，運動文學寫作空間被壓縮乃至於偏離主流媒介，媒體屈從於��時新聞的流量績效，不再讓記者和編輯求真求美，而新銳作家投入創作時則常有擔心自己不會打球，寫作時很難掌握箇中精髓的疑慮。

  其實體育作家不見得是運動好手，正如球評能說得一嘴好球，踏入球場不見得做的比說的好。就算無法技壓全場，觀賽時仍能體悟運動員追求極致表現的感動，將內心所得透過文字恰如其分地闡述，這不需要體育技能，而是需要觀察敏銳度與文字駕馭力，時常留意勝負和數據外的各種細節並筆耕不輟，運動文學的新種子或許會在你手中萌芽。
