S2. E15: China!

Arriving in China all together to take their minds off of their sorrows.

Lily the salesman went straight to the market place to hunt for some bargains.

Got some awesome relics and she obtained the recipe for stir fry for an oppurtunity back home but wanted to learn egg rolls too. Getting some novels for the family library and fish bait books for Laika.

Laika was keen to see the beauty of the countryside and catch some fish. Mario just wanted to party but no one to party with so he danced a, called friends and streamed video's until he got to the martial arts centre with his dad Dewey and Grandma Lily. They had a TV and a chess table to occupy him.

Laika spent most of her time fishing and reading fish bait books her Grandma Lily bought her.

After some chess matchs with Mario, Lola decided to go on an adventure. She wanted to gain some visa points.

So Lola spent a lot of time away from the family, exploring tombs and finding objects to get the family some visa points.

Dewey discovered martial arts and fell in love with the practise. He needs to gain the skill for work back home but he is enjoying it and found something to relate to Lily about.

Lily appreciates the art too. Being a master at athletics and starting yoga, this takes her skills to a new level. Something she has not yet perfected.

She offers to spar with Dewey one night after cooking dinner.

Dewey won this round due to him obsessing over the practise all day.

Dinner seems to be the only time the whole family spend together on this trip. Its nice that they get together to share their experiences for the day.

More sparring for Lily and Dewey with Lily winning 2-1 this round when they are on the same belt level. She is one tough bird.

Dewey leveled up by chopping boards. He really loves this.

On the last night Laika tells Mario to get everyone to meet her in the lounge area for story time.

Lily and Mario turn up for story time where Laika shares a ghost tale before everyone gets a nap in before the long trip home.

When? Are? YOU? GOING? To? GRaduATE?!

when you’re in the UC system. A student who is way over their head once the adversities head their way. It can be hard. When you don’t know what to major in. Came in as a Sociology major, no Political Science? One year, no Business? Request of change over and over. Business one year, two year. Stops. when you don’t know if you can pass a class. When you see students around you strive, why can’t you?

When you don’t know what to do in a prestigious school. When you come across classes that you are unable to pass and it’s affecting your graduation route. professors look at you, and does nothing. You’re just a number. When you fail the class and now getting in negative mentality that you can’t get out off.  When you get sucked in your own failure for 1 year and can’t make progress. You can’t keep the scholarships, can’t keep the financial aid. YOU lose yourself inside and out. & you see your “star self fade in the back ground,  vanishing. Who are you? What are you doing? Are you graduating? Wow you go to a good school. Yes I want to graduate, yes I want to leave yes I want to accomplish. Wow your a smart person, you can do this. You got into “the prestigious school” you are smart enough. Gets in a bad state of mind, gets lost after the year. You are left lost. People who are close to you. Family and friends ask when are you going to graduate.

Then a person comes randomly with a text an advisor. You connect and share your experience and see what your next step is. 

The advisor offers you a chance to change your self and see your educational goals gives you chance to learn what you need to do. 

Decides to leave that prestigious school. 

This is scary. Very scary. YOu submit the request. You know no one understands you. Are you StUPiD? Fuck your feelings! Suck it up. Keep attending?! Fuck your mental health.!!! IF YOU LEAVE YOU WILL NEVER BE SUCCESSFUL. IF YOU LEAVE YOU ARE A NOBOdY! YOUR STUPID! YOUr LEtting this go! YOU Are failing your self, your family! Your community! Your hype people—- Hype no more. It’s over. It’s scary! I’m scared. You’re getting older, ignorant people against you, your people against you, doubt and more doubt.

George Cavanaugh Memorial (1st Gen)

We look at George's life here in Starlight Shores as the 1st Gen Mate of Lily.

Lily and George had a fun dating life before tying the knot.

A simple but beautiful wedding. Lily was so happy she gushed for days. George was so happy to be a Cavanaugh.

Lily inspired George to leave his rabbit hole job and become a writer full-time. She made him a space in their modest home to get started. He was inspired to get a tattoo in Lily's honour.

Memorable moments with the arrival of his daughter Lola. Even rescuing her from a house fire.

Can we admire just how hot George is, even when taking a nap?

How did he pull off the piggy tales? So cute. He was a handy and logical genius, which he passed down to his daughter. He was successful in completing his lifetime wish of being an Acclaimed Author. He wrote many novels on Gnombes.

Seeing out adulthood with his daughter's graduation and still flirty and committed to his wife.

Aging gracefully and travelling to Egypt a couple of times. He made friends everywhere he went.

HOT!

Time with his family playing chess, dancing and singing at parties are what you would catch George doing a lot.

He loved his wife and made her happy from the first woo-hoo to the last. He will be so missed.
