am i the only one who noticed that after blake bleeds out and schofield gathers himself and collects blake's things, he looks over, and only moves to drag blake's body after he looks offscreen at the cherry trees? he then starts to drag him towards the orchard which is seen over his shoulder. he doesn't make it before he's interrupted by the others, and has to continue his journey without laying his friend to rest in a place he would have loved.

I can you tell I have watched 1917 three times just this months alone 👀
Also tried out a new brush pack for these drawings, not sure what to think of it tho… it’s very smooth and I usually like my drawing to be a bit and the rougher messier side… But it was fun to try out !

literally no words can describe how much i love historical war films.
dunkirk, all quiet on the western front, 1917, hacksaw ridge, band of brothers, saving private ryan, schindler's list, and oppenheimer are all done very well.
history is one of my special interests :)

Hey so that scene in 1917 where the protagonist reached the batallion and he hears someone sing wayfaring stranger and you see all the soldiers from their backs only for the camera to turn and let you see that most of them are in their late teens. Yeah
