Ok ok ok ok I COMPLETELY agree with you!!!! I think sky is a man of extremes - he either loves you or he despises you. For the most part, he adores everyone (other than a few key people cough cough ghirahim and demise cough cough). His whole convo with Zelda right before she sealed herself away fucked with him SO MUCH, because suddenly he is trying to cope about the fact that the goddess his entire culture idolizes manipulated him, and what makes it worse is that Zelda is the reincarnation of her.

ANYway, i think he absolutely hates Hylia, yeah! I think he despises her and is so bitter towards her and would be completely fine if she straight-up died! In my mind, he doesn't like any deity, really. He's had enough interactions with gods that he is absolutely comfortable telling them they all suck and he hates them lmao, but that's a tangent. It makes a lot more sense to me if he hated Hylia, but what might make others to disagree is the fact that Zelda was Hylia. Fortunately, I have a solution for that as well!!

When Zelda talks to him right before she seals herself, she mentions that she didn't know, she was happy to be his zelda, etc. So in my brain, after Demise dies, she has a full-on identity crisis (and probably also a "oh my gosh Link probably hates me" Moment cuz she knows him so well) where she's not sure who she is, if she's a goddess or just Zelda, cuz now she has all these memories that she remembers but she didn't experience them (Sun and Wild would be besties and you can't change my mind lol). So i think that Sky couldn't hate Zelda, and so they both work it out and they can both separate Hylia from Zelda and see that they're two different people. So would there be dissonance in their relationship? Sure, briefly, but they love each other and they work it out and both of them dislike Hylia, they're such a power couple and will fight god :D

As for fanon having other Links be bitter towards Hylia, I guess it works?? idk it works at first glance, but then i always remember that they have no fucking clue who Hylia is. Wild knows, obviously, but he's on good terms with her. I just think it's occasionally a little funny to see the Links ragging on Hylia when they canonically don't know she exists.

(my personal hcs are that the Links, especially Ledge and Time who are typically the most outspoken about it in fanon, pretty much just want nothing to do with the gods. They're more focused on the immediate "i can save this person and the world" part. Also, Time has his whole Master Sword thing. but in general, i think that any bitterness towards the gods (most likely the golden goddesses) is pretty surface-level and they don't think much about it. Not a single Link would regret saving the world. I think that's something I don't often see - they chose to be heroes, and they would do it again without hesitation. They just wish it didn't cause so much trauma. However, Warrior having religious trauma due to fighting a war and feeling like he and his soldiers have been abandoned, similar to WW1 soldiers, is just something so important to me :P)

Punarvasu & Swati: Cosmogony, Reality & Consciousness

Punarvasu and Swati are deeply intertwined nakshatras with very similar patterns and themes. Punarvasu's deity Goddess Aditi embodies infinity and vast primordial space. She is boundless and limitless. Swati's deity Vayu is the ruler of air & wind and connected to the life force or prana (or qi).

Both these nakshatras connect to space, infinity, abundance and are known for being wealth giving nakshatras.

I had briefly mentioned this in my Tomie post but Swati & Punarvasu's themes are manifest in Barbie because Barbie is not a person, she is a type of doll, and she can be anyone or anything. Barbie is a whole universe into herself, this is the cosmic abundance and infinitude of Swati & Punarvasu.

Interestingly enough, several decades before the Big Bang theory gained mainstream acceptance and was studied by scientists, Edgar Allan Poe published a lecture/essay on the matter titled Eureka: A Prose Poem in 1848 (!!!!). He had Swati Rising

George Orwell, who was a fierce critic of totalitarianism had Swati Rising, if you read his works, you can see how he's able to analyse the effects and consequences of the same, especially 1984 which was sooo ahead of its time in the sense that much of what was written in the book is eerily similar to what's going on in the world right now.  The novel examines the role of truth and facts within societies and how they can be manipulated.

Swatis & Punarvasus are super Futuristic, as individuals or visionaries as well as in their art & work. They dominate in the surreal/scifi genre.

Robin Williams- Swati Rising stars as an android in Bicentennial Man which is a movie about a robot who learns how to be human. Transcending humanity is a big theme in the works of Swati natives.

On this note, I have noticed several Swati & Punarvasu natives star in movies featuring/about cloning 👀 This does not surprise me as I had already mentioned this in my Tomie post but it is fascinating how Swati & Punarvasu's ability to be many many versions of themselves is made manifest in this trope of clones.

I have to mention how both Rahu & Jupiter have a very boundless, obese energy that is hard to contain. This can be manifest negatively because its very easy for energy of this proportion to be misused and misdirected but when they're harnessed positively, these individuals are capable of envisioning change that have few/no other parallels.

Moon (2009) is a movie that features the main character and his clones. Sam Rockwell, Swati Sun plays the main character.

Tom Cruise, Punarvasu moon (acc to Claire Nakti) stars in Oblivion and plays a clone of himself. One version of him is good, his "clone" is evil. The battle between good & evil within oneself is a VERY Jupiterian trope (and I shall make a post solely about that in the near future).

Multiplicity is a 90s scifi-comedy about a guy who clones himself so that he can do all the things he wants to do. Michael Keaton who plays the protagonist has Swati Moon

The Sixth Day is a movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger (Punarvasu stellium) and it is about cloning. The title is a reference to the Abrahamic Genesis concept of how God created mankind on the sixth day.

This in itself is very interesting because Punarvasu is the 7th nakshatra and in the Bible, it is said "And on the seventh day God finished the work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation."

7 is a number that has profound spiritual meaning and is present in many religions as a figure of significance. From this verse taken from the Book of Genesis, it is interesting to note that ""7" is the culmination of creation. It is the day on which God rested because he had already created. It is not nothingness, it is the day on which everything already existed. This is a significant Punarvasu theme.

Replicas stars Keanu Reeves (Punarvasu Moon) as a neuroscientist who tries to revive his deceased family members by cloning them.

Its interesting how in these films, natives appear either as a clone or as the ones who do the cloning, furthermore connecting it back to Punarvasu's creation trope.

Robert de Niro Punarvasu Rising, stars in the movie Awakenings (based on a true story) as a catatonic patient who has an "awakening" before tragically going back into catatonia, Robin Williams, Swati Rising stars as the doctor who administers a drug that induces this awakening.

In Vedic philosophy, there are 3 gunas, Rajas, Tamas & Sattva.

Tamas is a state of darkness, inertia, inactivity, 

Rajas is a state of energy, action, change, and movement.

Sattva is a state of harmony, balance, joy, and intelligence. 

Punarvasu belongs to the Rajas guna whereas Swati belongs to Tamas guna.

Tamas can be described as a state of statis or stagnation as there is no transformation and thus no change. Punarvasu natives are prone to passivity and it is only when they face their own destructive shadow, do they emerge out of passivity to their natural state of Rajas. In this movie, Deniro's experience where he emerges from his catatonia with a desire for freedom and to live life to the fullest before eventually accepting the fact that his condition cannot be remedied inspires the Doctor played by Robin Williams to emerge out of his own shell and live life more fully.

Punarvasus are often restricted by situations beyond their control yet they are possessed by a yearning to live life to the fullest. Swatis often have unmeasured freedom and do not know how to utilize it, they are restricted by their own character.

The Gaia Hypothesis proposed by James Lovelock (1972) suggests that living organisms on the planet interact with their surrounding inorganic environment to form a synergetic and self-regulating system that created, and now maintains, the climate and biochemical conditions that make life on Earth possible.

It is a holistic view, which is generally not appreciated in science that likes to favour randomness, chance or whatever instead of the innate harmony and union behind creation.

Lynn Margulis who co-developed this theory with him most likely has Revati Moon and I will be exploring her symbiotic view of evolution on a different post as it goes beyond the scope of this one.

Edit: as @brundlefly333 pointed out, the French philosopher Henri Bergson (Punarvasu Moon) has a book called Creative Evolution which extrapolates that whilst "evolution of species can come from external factors "like natural selection", it most importantly (comes) from an internal impulse (a creative force). This creative force is inherently unpredictable and non-linear, leading to the emergence of novelty and complexity in living organisms over time.

I find his "Cone of Memory" (depicted above) hypothesis very fascinating.

The Cone of Memory model can be imagined as an inverted cone, with the apex representing the present moment, the base symbolizing the entirety of one’s past experiences, and the cone’s vertical axis signifying the flow of time. As the present moment progresses, the apex of the cone moves upward along the axis, continuously stretching the cone outward as it incorporates new experiences and memories into a person’s consciousness. The memories from our past experiences are layered into the cone, with the most recent memories residing closer to the apex and older memories located further down, towards the base.

Bergson’s model emphasizes the active role of individual perception, memory, and experience in shaping one’s consciousness. The human mind, as depicted by Bergson, interacts with the objective world while drawing from its accumulated memories to create individual experiences in real time. The Cone of Memory focuses on the dynamic interplay between perception, memory, and experience, hoping to account for the generation of novel understandings and interpretations of reality.

Bergson’s emphasis on experience at the personal level also has significant implications for how we understand the self. In his view, the self is not a static entity but rather a constantly developing process, shaped by the dynamic interplay of perception, memory, and experience. This more fluid conception of the self contrasts sharply with many traditional notions of a fixed, unchanging identity. It also invites us to recognize the transformative power of our own experiences and encounters in the continuous interweaving of the past and present in our temporal consciousness.

i'm bi and transmasc and i have to say that the trans john hc is iconic. worst representation of all time. (love that for him. and for us.) i would also make some remark about how he started out with such a wlw-dominated group of friends but idk if that counts because they were in fact his Work Friends lmao and yeah i agree that there's a lot more to the barbie thing than just john thinking it's hot. there's definitely a sense that he's exerting power over her identity by "designing" her human body, which can definitely have sexual and patriarchal undertones, but i think it's partly about john wanting to Become her as well (in that he wants to control the earth, decide earth's fate, and have power over life and death). it's kind of like projecting onto a doll when playing with dolls. alecto is probably the closest thing to a "real" deity here, and by declaring himself a god, john's taking over her role. given that harrow's and alecto's perspectives overlapped in john's dream sequences in ntn, i got the impression that john also saw alecto as a daughter-figure and tried to manipulate her by teaching her his version of the truth, by being Teacher to her. he's trying to convince her to be an extension of himself and his empire, and tbh i suspect that being treated as a child and a tool is what alecto resists the most, not whatever horrible toxic romantic connection they may have had (though again i'm sure that was part of it -- the fact that john compares her to galatea is A Lot). so unfortunately alecto probably had to deal with all of these power dynamics at once. idk i'm just really curious what her pov will be like! everyone but her has been telling her story so far

first of all, thank you so much! this literally made my day, and i’m really flattered you would ask.

secondly, it’s really up to you what you put on it. as long as you have a designated area for giving offerings, you’ve got a sufficient altar; size and elaborateness don’t really matter much. that said, i like to go a little further with mine and add whatever i can that reminds me of the God/dess i’m dedicating it to. mostly, i just enjoy the benefits of focusing so much on them—makes me feel closer to them, y’know? and, honestly, you’ll probably end up seeing the God/esses in stuff you already own, so don’t feel like you need to break the bank when putting together your altars. (by the way, @honorthegods​ has a really good post about altars, i believe)

now that i’ve said that, i’ll list some common items for altars.

candles - people like to get fancy with them (myself included), but it’s all about personal preference. you can literally use birthday candles if you want. (on etsy, there’s even a load of birthday candle holders shaped like animals that might be associated with your deity, so y’know)

altar cloths - i don’t see these as often for purely worship based altars, but i like using them. for Hermes, i have some purple silk for the sake of representing a color associated with him and because it symbols luxury. since candles like to get wax on literally everything, i also have some craft felt on top of it that i can easily replace when i clean up. 

offering bowls/plates and/or libation cups - i mean, any cup or bowl will do. tbh, i use an abalone shell for Aphrodite and she doesn’t seem to mind, so feel free to get creative. shot glasses are good for small altars. 

gemstones/crystals - the bane of my existence. so tiny, yet so expensive. but, hey, you could literally find a rock on the ground and offer it to a God/dess using their altar and it’d be a-okay. it’s all about intention.

statues - okay, i lied, these are the actual bane of my existence. it’s fun to want a symbol of your God/dess until it costs as much as rent. i can personally vouch for statuescrafts on etsy, but the whole site is filled to the gills with statues. and, again, don’t be afraid to think outside the box. i think it’s pretty common for people to use barbie dolls for Aphrodite, so get creative.

incense - the third bane of my existence, lookin’ at you frankincense. from personal experience, i can tell you to go with what you prefer over what’s associated with the God/ddeses. i doubt they want us to get nauseous at their altars. burners come in loads of shapes and sizes that are fun to match with deities, too. (catch me buying this one for Hades)

to wrap this up, just have fun and be yourself. put love and respect into your altar and you’re golden. nothing on it has to be permanent (i rotate Hermes’s stuff around all the time), so don’t fret too much. play around with symbolism (my favorite), reflect on what you feel the God/desses would appreciate, go wild! i’m sure it’ll be gorgeous.

Can you please explain the different charges and what they do?

Sure. We’ll start with this handy chart

Most known is Grimdark. It is often mistaken for Corruption from Horrorterrors. Grimdark isn’t brainwashed and still has mind of their own. Active Charge means that Grimdark player directly changes things often for their own benefit, similar to Active Classes. Creative means that the charged Player uses their newly gained powers to improve (in their point of view) things or create them new. Grimdarks are keen on summoning, revealing mysteries, scheming and creating shenanigans. It is an obvious Charge to spot in early stages of influence and therefore it makes it one of the easiest to prevent. If player doesn’t gain this charge while angry, it is actually the safest of them all.Grimdark Player has nearly black skin color, glowing white eyes, white hair and black throny aura.The element of Grimdark is water.

Often you also encounter Trickster Charge. The easiest description of it is sugar high. As a Passive Charge it makes the player to change the circumstances in which things happen and therefore affecting the result, similar to Passive Classes. Tricksters thinks the life is awesome and are aiming to have fun at all cost… Often at the cost of someone getting harmed. If a Trickster stands against a villain, they kick him around like a ball because “they are so grumpy and no fun, they should play soccer more”. While not actually safe, this Charge is still more annoying than dangerous. It isn’t always easy to spot it before it breaks out in the full power tho.Trickster Player has skin like a Barbie doll both color and quality,  huge colorful irises, colorful hair and clothes, their symbol has changed and they look like someone dropped a decora shop on them. (Might remind you of anime)The element of Trickster is air.

Angelight is fairly uncommon. While still Active, it’s Destructive characteristic makes to end things instead of starting new one. It might remind you of the mania when you clean your room, do the dishes, makes all the phone calls and altogether get your shit done. Except Angelight Players have this drive for Judgement and problem resolving. And by resolving they mean killing it with fire. The Holy Crusade or Inquisition, in its though, is in fact very Angelight. Angelight is not easy to spot and it does massive amount of damage… However if you are using your brain a little, you can avoid getting in the way, because Angelight is very direct and sees only in black and white.Angelight players have glowing purely white skin and glowing silver or golden eyes, their hair are flowing and you can see cold blue/white flame aura around them.The element of Angelight is fire.

The least found Charge is Macabre, thank any deity you believe in for that. It changes the events indirectly (Passive) and always brings them to their downfall (Destructive). As long as someone dies, Macabre Player is happy. Macabre is cruel and careless, manipulative, chaotic, selfish, consequences-be-damned but unlike Tricksters they don’t believe they do fun for others too and they are quite nihilistic. Often they decorate themselves and surroundings with bones, skulls and voodoo-like. Macabre players often find and use various jujus. The greatest problem with Macabre is that is is actually hard to notice, sometimes hard to notice even when the player is already Charged, it causes mass destruction and once a Macabre has its mind set, there is no twisting their arm.Macabre Players have dimly glowing colorful ornamental paint on their skin (mostly face), black-and-color clothes, colorful streak in hair and purely black eyes.The element of Macabre is earth.
