Long Awaited Feelings/My Feelings Can Wait - Jing Xui and Ji Youyan - Jaded by Miley Cyrus

So recently I've been obsessed with a comic called Long Awaited Feelings by AirRabbitYan, 森海章鱼 and 闵然.

It's actually the novel that I've been reading more of, and it is completed. Here is a bit of what the drawing looks like

So the art is tots amazing.

My favourite scene:

The story is about Ji Youyan who has been reincarnated or brought back 2 years after her break with Jing Xiu, and 3 years before her death. She's decided in this life that she will pursue Jing Xiu.

It's honestly quite a story, and I highly recommend the novel and the comic. I do say to read the novel first before reading the comic. The comic tends to miss details from the novel, which can be confusing. The comic however tends to capture the visual of the character's facial expression and such so a combo of the two is the best way to immerse yourself into it.

So now for the actual post that the title is based on. WARNING SPOILERS BELOW! I was listening to Jaded by Miley Cyrus and was like, "Hey, this describes Ji Youyan and Jing Xiu's relationship (at least in the beginning) quite well. Wanted to dive into what the lyrics remind me of in the series.

I don't wanna call and talk too long I know it was wrong, but never said I was sorry Now I've had time to think it over We're much older and the bone's too big to bury

So this part reminds me of Ji Youyan in the first chapter of the novel and comic where she realizes she wants Jing Xiu, that she'll fight for it, and goes to pursue her. She realizes that she's wronged Jing Xiu ("Never said I was sorry") and she's had time to reflect especially after her original death ("Now I've had time to think it over")

Oh, isn't it a shame that it ended like that? Said goodbye forever, but you never unpacked We went to Hell, but we never came back

So this part "Oh, isn't it a shame that it ended like that?" reminds me of the way Ji Youyan and Jing Xiu broke up. The comic hasn't caught up yet to the novel, but in the novel it was shown that Jing Xiu felt that Ji Youyan didn't love her anymore and Ji Youyan felt that Jing Xiu didn't believe her any more with broken promises in the past. So Jing Xiu asked for the break up, and really their first attempt at having a relationship with each other and subseqent breakup really was painful and such a shame.

"Said goodbye forever, but you never unpacked" So in their first timeline, Ji Youyan and Jing Xiu didn't contact each other after the breakup, but in the first chapter, you could see how heartbroken Jing Xiu was over Ji Youyan's death, so I don't think she ever "unpacked" or let Ji Youyan go.

"We went to Hell, but we never came back" Well Jing Xiu went to hell for Ji Youyan. But actually, after their break up, both of them didn't fare too well.

I'm sorry that you're jaded I could've taken you places You're lonely now and I hate it I'm sorry that you're jaded

So the chorus really feels like it's describing Jing Xiu for me. Despite saving Ji Youyan, she's actually pretty jaded and rebuffs all of Ji Youyan's attempt at being close until a certain point. I always get confused by this because Jing Xiu did everything she could to save Ji Youyan, so wouldn't you want to get back with the person you saved ASAP? Also I know it's "jaded" but jade has a significant meaning in this story.

You're not even willing to look at your part You just jump in your car and head down to the bar 'til you're blurry Don't know when to stop, so you take it too far I don't know where you are and I'm left in the dark 'til I'm worried Oh, and it hurts me

I find in this part describes Jing Xiu. I felt like she never really looked at herself and blamed herself the way Ji Youyan did for the collapse of their relationship. Whereas Ji Youyan blamed herself in a way that she wronged Jing Xiu, Jing Xiu never looked at herself in a way that she wronged Ji Youyan. When Jing Xiu reflected on their relationship demise, it always felt that she'd done so in a lense of "I love her too much, spoiled her, and therefore our relationship didn't survive" It just never sat well with me the way she wasn't really willing to look at her part. It wasn't until chapter 100 in the novel that Jing Xiu realizes Ji Youyan was hurt by her actions or by the actions of those around Jing Xiu. I'm also a bit pissed that Jing Xiu hides a pretty big thing from Ji Youyan once they get together about their past life and it's like dude, have you not learned from the past? Communicate!

I think this is my favourite part of the lyrics to connect to the story.

And it's a fucking shame that it ended like that You broke your own heart, but you'd never say that We went to Hell, but we never came back

I think "You broke your own heart, but you'd never say that" is also my favourite line to connect to the story. I think it describes Jing Xiu perfectly. By asking Ji Youyan to break up, she really did break her own heart.

I won't lie, it won't be easy When somebody new's on your body I'll change my number but keep your T-shirt I don't mind it's torn up and faded

Well Jing Xiu has been keeping tabs on Ji Youyan, and it was definitely not easy for her when she finds out about Ji Youyan's death. Also, her feelings when she finds out that when Ji Youyan was dying, she was holding the jade must have been something, I guess overwhelming with grief?

I kind of feel like the chorus is also where Ji Youyan is apologizing to Jing Xiu for all that's happened in the past between them.

And that's it. That's all I have for now. I hope there are others on this site that are into this novel and story. It's so good.

Little Talks with a Big Robot Turtle

Raph has some questions, and Casey Junior has some answers.

There were many things Raph was happy about. Like being 'alive' again, getting reunited with his brothers, seeing familiar faces in the Resistance…

There was something that bothered him though. A lot.

He wasn't sure how many years passed. While he was 'offline' (as Donnie would describe) it was impossible to tell that. He didn't remember anything from that time. It was as if he had fallen into a deep sleep.

And that brought memories. Bad ones. Things he'd rather forget, like the dark cold feeling as he was pulled into another deep sleep—

You're safe, Raph.

He took a deep breath. Let it out. (Thankfully Dee had made his robot body work as similar to his organic body, as much as he could.) He was safe and with his family. Raph was okay.

Yeah, it wasn't what bothered him right now anyways. The thing was, how much he missed while being offline.

Clearly, way too many years had passed. Considering how much Casey Junior grew up and how his brothers had aged (especially Mikey, apparently years weren't kind to him, thank pizza supreme in the sky for Donnie’s new invention) in his absence. He guessed that at least twelve years must have passed.

Twelve years away from his family.

He didn't want to think too much about that. Not yet.

Instead, Raph decided he wanted to simply gain information about what he missed.

And luckily he had plenty of time and someone he could learn a part of what he missed, specifically possible embarrassing stories of his brothers' shenanigans. (There was no way these three didn't do something stupid in all of those past years.)

Leo and Donnie were on a field mission, Mikey was training, and April was on a super secret mission for a while now according to Leo. Which left him alone with no one other than Casey Jones Junior.

The teen was sitting next to him, leaning towards the large robot turtle as he cleaned his weapon.

Raph watched him for a bit before he spoke, "Casey, can I ask you a question?"

"Sure, uhh, Ma- Uncle Raphael." Casey replied.

"What did Raph miss?"

"Huh?" Casey turned to look at him a bit confused.

"I feel like I still need to catch up on a lot of things. I hoped you'd be helpful?" Raph explained.

Casey frowned, "I think Sensei would be better for that job, I didn't take an important role in missions until the recent years—"

"No, no, no, not missions and information about the Resistance," Raph already learned a summary of that from his brothers. "Raph means family."

"Ah." Casey put his weapon down, "Yes, I can help with that!" He turned to Raph to look at him better. "What would you like to know?"

Raph thought for a second before answering. "What did Donnie mean when he said he turned Leo into a tangerine-sized baby ?" Leo was stubbornly avoiding answering the question and he hadn't got the chance to ask Donnie or Mikey about that.

Casey grinned, "Uncle Tello was experimenting and Sensei was helping him. They tested it on Sensei, and he literally turned into a small baby." He explained. "He was so… small." Casey used his hands to show the scale of baby Leo. "I'd thought he'd be a giant toddler, and yet…"

Raph laughed, "I can't believe I missed that. I'd have loved to see him that small again." The memories of when they were tots, much smaller and tiny flashed before his eyes. He barely remembered those days anymore, yet the warmth of the good old days was something he always welcomed. "I sometimes forget how small we were."

Casey looked at him with concern, as if trying to wrap his mind around something. Maybe he was wondering if he'd be as tall as them like he would ask when he was four, or maybe he was thinking of how Raph could be that small back in the past. Finally, he shook his head, "I never thought I'd see Sensei like that. It was…"

"Odd?" Raph guessed.

"Yeah, and a bit scary." Casey nodded.

"Responsibility?"

Another nod.

Raph looked at the boy and considered saying anything about it., but decided against it. Casey seemed like he had already talked it out, even if he was drifting into his thoughts. Raph smiled, and asked another question, something silly to distract the boy: “Was he as naughty as in our time?”

“No, not really.” Casey hummed.

“Huh, when we were much younger he would cause a lot of trouble.” Raph said. “Maybe he was aware of himself this time?”

“Uncle Tello says he didn’t, but I am not sure.” Casey explained. "He claims he doesn't remember anything from his time like that, but I have my suspicions."

"Is that so?"

"Why would he have gotten embarrassed at the mention of chirping if not? And he always avoids the topic." The boy pointed out. The way he used his fingers to count his proofs and the way he talked reminded Raph of Donnie. "Also I caught him threatening a guy who had yelled at me earlier, when Sensei was tiny." He quickly added.

"Chirping, you say?" Raph asked with a joyful glint in his eyes.

"Yes!" Casey laughed. "I didn't even know he could chirp."

"That's a turtle thing. A thing that I didn't hear him make for years." Raph grinned.

"A turtle thing…" Casey briefly seemed to think about something, before continuing his tales.

Casey told him about other adventures, such as Mikey sleepwalk-floating around in the middle of the night and almost getting attacked by sleep-deprived Donnie, the twins getting banned from card games, and the karaoke night fiasco…

Even if his heart ached as he learned how much he missed out, he still enjoyed every single memory and story Casey shared with him. Even if he was not there, he still found comfort in them. (And of course possible material for comebacks against his brothers' silly annoying jokes.)

After who knows how long of talking, they were back to silence. Raph was glad it wasn't an awkward silence. He also felt lucky with how quickly Casey adapted to his presence and felt comfortable around him too. He knew very well how hard it was for everyone in the current times.

Then Casey looked at him and said, "Uncle Raphael, can I ask a question?"

"Of course, Casey."

"Is it true that you can multiply your form?” Casey asked.

“Yeah, it is!” Raph grinned. “But I haven’t done that for a long while. Thankfully it’s not necessary that often.”

Casey looked at him in a way that made Raph sure he was trying to figure out how multiplying worked. “I can show you if you want to see?” Raph offered.

The boy’s eyes shined with excitement as he nodded.

So Raph did his old trick and watched the boy look amazedly at him. He could tell Casey had many more questions, and Raph was ready to answer every single of them.

Because if there was one thing he was sure of, it was that he missed having small talks with his family. And besides, how could he say no to a chance to bond with the kid more? He had many years to make up for after all.

That was how their time passed. Talking about memories and simple things, having laughs over embarrassing things (that mostly his brothers did), and answering questions.

Though he had to admit, he never expected to hear this question:

“What’s a Godzilla?”

Raph blinked in confusion, “Where did that come from?”

“I once heard someone say that you were like Godzilla. As big as it is or something like that.” Casey explained.

“Ah, it is a fictional character. A big dinosaur-like thing. A giant reptilian monster.”

“Something like the aliens from Jupiter Jim?” Casey asked excitedly.

“Yes! Kind of.” Good thing his siblings hadn’t forgotten to teach Casey the essential knowledge. “I’m glad you’re familiar with the series.”

“Of course! I know it all, including Jupiter Jim Pluto Vacation 4 — the best movie.” Casey said proudly.

Raph stared at him in shock. “Did you mean Jupiter Jim Sails The Seven Galaxies ?”

“No, that’s the second best movie.”

No way Casey had said that. Raph knew who was behind this though, and he mentally took a note to have a nice talk with Donnie and remind him why Jupiter Jim Sails The Seven Galaxies is the best one truthfully. Meanwhile, he had a kid to save from false information. “So Casey, would you like to learn more about the movies?”

Leo was so dang tired of the repeating nightmares.

The same fucking memories blended together in different ways. Seeing the same faces and colors, and hearing the same screams again and again and again —

His brain wasn't kind to him, he already knew that. It still annoyed him, though. But it was like that for the last ten-something years. Old habits die hard, huh?

Except Raph was no longer dead. And he was such a great big brother that welcomed him every time Leo felt way too bad to go back to sleep.

The truth was that Leo didn't only seek comfort, but he wanted to make sure Raph was there. He needed to be sure he was alright.

Some nights he'd check the rest of his family's rooms too. He knew Donnie had a similar habit too, except he'd check their vitals and locations from the trackers he put on them instead.

Quietly Leo walked towards Raph's room. The big guy was there, as always. Awake too. Leo knew he would never ‘sleep’ before his brothers did since the time he didn’t need sleep. (And that some nights he'd stay awake just to make sure they would be safe.) His bright eyes noticed him in no time. "Nightmares?"

Leo simply nodded, feeling too tired to say anything.

Raph opened his arms, welcoming him to a hug. Leo gladly approached him and hugged him back. Embracing the hug, the safety of his big brother- even if he was made of titanium- gave him the biggest comfort.

Leo finally relaxed, enough to fall asleep.

He'd fall asleep if it wasn't for the noise coming from Donnie's lab, followed by a loud " Fuck !"

Ah, yes. As Leo mentioned earlier, old habits die hard. Donnie was overworking and probably chugging coffee as usual. He should've guessed, considering how when Leo manages to sleep it's usually Donnie's turn to be the insomniac of the night.

Raph sighed. Then he got up without letting go of Leo. "All those years, and you guys still don't sleep." He murmured.

Leo smirked, "I'm not guilty tonight." he yawned.

" Tonight ." Raph repeated, emphasizing the word.

Soon they arrived at Donnie's lab. Opening the doors, they were met with a loud hiss coming from Donnie. As Raph stood with Leo held in his arms at the doorway, Donnie froze with realization.

"Donnie."

"Raph."

"Its 4 am."

Donnie looked away and started to fiddle with his hands. "Gasp, is it? Well, better I go to sleep—"

Before he was able to squirm away, Raph caught him with his free hand. As he held him, Donnie once again froze. Leo snickered as he watched them. With Donnie in one hand and Leo in the other arm, Raph began walking back to his room. "That's enough work for tonight, Donnie."

"But–-"

"No buts, you sleep. Now."

"Ha ha! Got busted." Leo smirked.

"Shut it, as if it wasn't you who gets scolded five times in a week for not sleeping." Donnie retorted.

"It's four, actually." Leo corrected him.

"Wrong. It's five."

"Four."

"Five."

" Four ."

" Five ."

"If you don't shut up and rest, it will become seven days a week." Raph threatened lightheartedly.

As Raph lay on the bed, Donnie scoffed and gave in. He knew there was nothing he could do to escape Raph's grip- curse him for making Raph's arms so powerful!- so he accepted his fate. Leo yawned once again, while Donnie started snoring in no time.

"He's been working on something nonstop lately." Leo commented, looking at his twin.

"Do you have any idea what it is?" Raph whispered.

"Maybe. Not sure though." Leo closed his eyes.

"Does it have anything to do with the tot-you experiment?"

Leo's eyes flew open. "What?"

"You possibly couldn't have forgotten that."

"Who told you- Casey !" That little snitcher.

"It doesn't sound bad." Raph said.

"It was bad." Leo protested.

"So you remember."

"No." Leo replied a bit too quickly.

"Sure." It was Raph's turn to smirk.

Leo bit his tongue, there was no way Raph didn't understand that Leo knew everything that happened while he was in that whole situation. Well, shit. "Please never bring this up ever again." He groaned.

"Okay," Raph said. Leo sighed, but Raph hadn't finished. "I didn't know you still chirped."

" Nooooooooo ," Leo whined. "Not this again." This embarrassment was too much.

Raph didn't care, he enjoyed messing with his brothers. He missed them, and the old days, so he was making up for that. Leo was aware of that. It didn't make this any better though.

With how this was going on, the whole Resistance was going to learn about this and know him as the 'chirping leader'.

Raph looked at him knowingly. Then he chirped.

Come on, like the old days?

He knew what he wanted to hear. Of course, he knew that Leo wouldn't be able to say no too. Not if he wanted to keep it as a secret. He didn't have a choice.

Damn turtle genetics.

" Fiiiiine ," He huffed. Then, after a second, he chirped.

I'm never ever doing that again.

Meanwhile, Raph was looking at him as if he was a tiny wet puppy. "Can't believe you still sound the same as when you were tiny."

"Shuuuuut up!" Leo buried his face in Raph's plastron.

Raph snorted, "Alright, alright." Then he gave him and Donnie a light squeeze. "Good night, Leo."

Leo didn't raise his head as he replied, "Good night, Raph."

A few hours later Mikey found the turtle pile, and gasped, saying how dare they have a sleepover without him.

More hours later, Casey found them, smiling at the scenery of four turtles. All sleeping and snoring peacefully. He had a feeling that Commander April would be sad to miss that, and wish there was a picture of them.

Casey considered joining them, but before he did anything he noticed the half-open eyes looking at him. His Sensei smiled and gestured to him to join them. Without a second thought, Casey did. And in a short while, he fell into a peaceful sleep.

Two

You are two and yet you look 4! You've grown exponentially in this past year and it has been amazing to be your mummy and watch you grow.

Last year at around this time, we were at Chirk Castle. You had soft silver unicorn shoes on and a rainbow dress and you were just starting to walk. We watched as you bravely and confidently toddled off, this way and that way, ending with a bump on your bum. You were overjoyed with this new independence and it didn't take long for you to be full speed, all the time! It seems like no time at all passed from when you were just walking to running full tilt in your wellies down the cut, pigtails flying with each bound. Your beautiful, sweet voice shouting "ready, steady, go!" as you raced mummy back from the nursery.

Climbing has always been a forte for you but this past year you have truly mastered clambering up to dangerous heights! You have immense confidence that propels you forward without fear as you tackle obstacles taller than you. Mummy and Daddy are both incredibly proud and ALWAYS on the tip of our toes to catch you. You are rapid so we have to act quickly! When you conquer a new "climbing obstacle" your face alights and you start a circuit until you can do it without even thinking. Our whole house is full of circuits now and depending on which room you are in, we will know where to find you climbing!

You've spent so much time with your cousins on Mondays and "Asagi" (Aunty Sarah). C is besotted with you and always runs to give you the biggest hug ever when he sees you. At this point I think you believe you are both 4 and 7 years old depending on which cousin you are with. You and Thea are two peas in a pod when you are together as you giggle and run off to explore new things. You two are so drastically different and yet there is such love between you, it's beautiful to see. I've never seen such warm hugs from a 2 and 3 year old!

Daddy takes you to Tumble Tots and Diddikicks on the weekend which has given both of you so much confidence. He comes home beaming to tell me about what new feat you've accomplished and how courageous you are. You tackle anything physical with such assertion, nothing can get in your way! Daddy is so proud of you, always. When we go to bed after we get you to sleep (generally after much protesting) we look at pictures of you and marvel at how wonderful you are. We couldn't be more proud and yet we will be.

I have my Fridays with you and we have done some serious exploring. We have been to the zoo, soft plays, aquarium, garden centres, mummy/daughter lunch dates. The way you say "mummy" makes my heart sing and especially, "mummy hug!" even though I know that means that you just want down from somewhere. More recently I have found it a bit harder to keep up with you as your little sister is due to arrive any day but you still find ways to make even the most boring days a bit more adventurous.

This past year you have learned to express yourself more and have had a few "throw yourself on the floor" tantrums when mummy or daddy turns off Minnie's Bow-Toons. More recently you are really picking up on words and their meanings. I love hearing you copy something mummy or daddy has said and putting your own lilt to it. You can count to 10 which is a big deal when you are jumping on your trampoline! You like sleeping with "Hop hop," "goldbear" and "brown bear," and do a pretend snore that is hilarious. There's a game you have started where you shout "STOP" and mummy and daddy have to freeze. You cackle away as you have this magical power to stop adults from putting you in the car seat, changing your nappy, or doing anything you don't quite like! There's also the "Oh No!" game where one of us falls down and we shout "Oh no! Daddy needs a BIGGGGG hug!" and you go and give the best, most reviving hugs EVER to wake daddy back up. It's seeing this playful side and getting to know your personality that has made this last year utterly incredible.

Your third year will see a lot of change as we welcome your baby sister to the family. I hope that, no matter what, you know how deeply you are loved. I will always try and give you those hugs, even when I know they mean escape. I will always try and make you feel how special you truly are. I will always try to cheerlead your singing and dancing to Bluey, Minnie, "let it gooooo." I will never stop trying to be the best mum I can be for you. I love you my 2 year old.

Pregnancy prank

Warnings: mentions of pregnancy, mentions of periods

A/n: decided to switch it up a bit with this one and add some twists to some also im awakes that this could be triggering to some and I would never recommend doing this prank I decided to do it because I wanted to make it sweet but please don't take me doing this request as a bad thing

George:

- you had been feeling kid of ill so decided to take a pregnancy test which came out positive but this had happened to you before so you decided to book a doctors appointment before telling George because you didn't want to tell him that you were pregnant if you weren't

- the doctor confirmed that you were pregnant but with twins which was a surprise but you were really happy especially now it had been confirmed you could actually let yourself be excited and you knew George would also be excited because you had talked about having kids and he was super excited for it

- you couldn't just reveal it normally so you decided to do a sort of double prank where you tell him you're pregnant and then say that you're joking before telling him the truth which you felt kind of mean doing but you knew he would forget about it in the end

- he was streaming when you got home so you waited patiently for him to be done so when he was he came in to cuddle you and check how you were doing knowing you've been feeling pretty bad lately

"George I need to tell you that I'm pregnant" you say

"Wait really no way" he said

"No its a prank I'm sorry" you lie

- he looked so upset that you had to just tell him and show him the pregnancy test as well as the ultrasounds you had from the doctor even though there isn't much to see and he was literally over the moon and he gave you the tightest hug he was that happy

Dream:

- Clay has been pranking you a lot recently and you haven't gotten him back once so you decided to just go for it but you didn't exactly know what to do until you talked to Sapnap when you were sat in the living room recovering after Clay just scared the life out of you

- he suggested the pranks because he thought that would be the only thing that would actually get Clay because he's expecting you to prank him back after everything he's done to you so as much as you felt awful doing it you went for it after Sapnap said that Clay would forgive you within a few minutes

- you waited for Clay to finish working for the day so you could go into his recording room and sit with him like always so he wasn't suspicious even though you were a little nervous but as always he showed you wanted he had done all and you talked about what you had done

- he started asking if you were ok because he could tell you were nervous from the way you were fiddling with your hands and not looking him in the eyes because you just couldn't knowing what you were going to do but you did it anyway

"Clay I'm pregnant" you say

"You're pregnant no way I'm going to be a dad" he says

"I can't do this it's a prank I'm so sorry Clay" you say

- Clay was sad but luckily he wasn't mad at you he just started talking with you about actually having a baby because he was just so excited when you said that you were pregnant that he wanted it to be real

Sapnap:

- Sapnap tried a break up prank on you the other day and you were so mad afterwards because you really believed him so its safe tot say you went through a rollercoaster of emotions that day so you wanted to get him back and make him feel like you did

- maybe it was a little harsh and normally you wouldn't do that sort of thing because its just not the way you are but that prank really scared you and you wanted to show Sapnap that you can get him back if you wanted to plus it was a little thrilling to prank him seeing as you haven't done it before

- you had been at work all day so when you got home it was finally time to prank Sapnap and you started to get a little more nervous about doing it because you had no idea how he was going to react because what if he just instantly wants to break up or is sad

"Sap I've got something to tell you" you say

"What is it?" He asks

"I'm pregnant" you say

"You're lying" he responds

- you thought that that was just his reaction to start with until you realised that he knew you were trying to prank him and you had absolutely no idea how he knew right away you'd barely said anything how could he possibly know that quickly

- he explained to you after you asked how he knew that you had been moody the past few days so he knew your period was coming and therefore you couldn't be pregnant which as much as it ruined the prank was kind of bittersweet because it showed that he pays attention to you and can tell when you're acting different

Quackity:

- recently you had been talking with some of Alex's friends who are also your friends and they had dared you to prank him after he had been annoying them so much with little pranks and not shutting up about how hard he is to prank

- with them you came up with a good prank and a good way to execute it to make it more believable seeing as he is so confident he can't be pranked to the point that you got a fake pregnancy test just in case right away he knew it was a prank

- Alex had been out for the day doing school related things but he got home at a reasonable time which meant you were able to do the prank which is a good thing because it had been on your mind all day and you just wanted to do it before you could talk yourself out of it

"Alex don't be mad but I'm pregnant" you say

"Wait you're really pregnant?" He questioned

"No I'm not it was a prank now seriously don't be mad at me" you say

- to start with Alex was relieved that you weren't actually pregnant because having kids with you isn't something he thought about so he didn't know if he was ready and if you two were to have kids he knew he wanted to be completely ready so that he could give them the best life possible

- the more Alex thought about it afterwards the more he realised how much he actually wants to be a dad so the two of you have a talk about having kids and decide that the two of you are in a good position to start trying of you really wanted one but you let him think about it for a bit longer so the both of you could be certain you wanted it

Karl:

- me and Karl have been trying for a baby for a few months well more than a few months and every time you take a pregnancy test it comes back not pregnant to the point that each month when you take a test you look at it because it feels like a waste of time both waiting anxiously to just see one line

- so like every month you took a test and waited for the result in the bathroom as Karl was getting home and you looked at it to see two lines which was a huge surprise and immediately you had to tell Karl but wanted to make it interesting so you decide to tell him you weren't pregnant to start with

- when you left the bathroom you went to greet him with a hug and you talk about your days before he asked about the test knowing it was test day which has become a regular occurrence and it is on your calendar so you don't forget

"Negative as always" you say

"Aww that sucks I had a good feeling this month but there's always next month" he says

"Well actually there's no need for next month I'm pregnant" you say

- to start with he doesn't know what on earth is happening and what to believe so you show him the test in the bathroom and he just stands there in silence for a few moments before he tries to say something although no words come out

- when he actually reacts he gives you the tightest hug picking you up off the floor and spinning you around he's just that excited he also lets a few tears slip out while you do the same because it has been such a hard thing seeing negative tests each month after being so not having to see 1 line

Idk why I got a very horrible feeling that they might end Spongebob at S13. But I also think that's not possible bc Spongebob is Nick's only source for money. But I just realized how much they're airing TLH (Blechhh) more than Spongebob and sometimes it even gets more views. I mean it's not like I'm saying they should stop airing that show and only air Spongebob, by that I mean is that they didn't air all episodes from S12 (Only a few) in the US. (Idk abt other countries).

I got quite a few asks after I went to sleep! But I'm happy to answer!

I hope the show doesn't end on the 13th. I know everything must come to an end but if the show could hold out and last a little longer so it could end on my lucky number as it's final season would be great.

Jokes aside tho I'm not quite sure about the future of spongebob. It certainly isn't as popular as it once was before. Merchandise basically disappeared where I live and my friend was even telling me the other day that it's pretty surreal how it used to be everywhere then suddenly disappeared in recent years.

I don't keep up with nick as a channel tho since I've never watched spongebob on Nick and I don't have cable but I heard views for newer episodes are declining. Still the show holds prime time and gets aired frequently. Only once did it not air for a day on nickelodeon and that's very recent which could be spongebob losing its grasp on the network but I don't really think it's so alarming? Like one day doesn't really do anything, I didn't even know Nick literally played it every single day for 10+ years so it's okay. The show is still popular. There was an article from quite recently that SB is still the most popular cartoon in north america so it's still doing pretty good. I know season 12 wasn't complete before put on dvd though most episodes from season 12 already aired (idk in the US) only the last few didn't. I assumed maybe it has something to do with Covid? It's a stretch but it's just a guess.

Now some might be concerned by things like the recent episodes since they aren't that popular (they get a lot of hate from the funky expressions) and that's a possibility. Generally the new movie can hint what the newer seasons might be like and all I can guess is that spongebob is going to be more cooperate and business focused with things like spinoffs and stuff instead of the show itself. There's also that super bowl short they made where Sandy explains football to Spongebob and it got well liked. I'm assuming it was made after the movie and people, even classic fans liked it since it was calmer than the usual expressiveness of season 12 (though I usually take their opinion with a grain of salt) so there might be some hope?

There's also the fact of the new spongebob movie and how well it preformed. It got pretty hated by the usual cartoon reviewers. Probably for the connections with camp coral. Though the movie had good reviews when it was exclusively released in Canada in theatres. It was also number one kids movie in France for a while and was trending in Japan (I've heard spongebob is pretry popular in Japan anyways) so I think internationally it did pretty good. Even people who didn't really keep up with the show liked the movie.

I can see spongebob probably still staying popular. Not as much as before and Nick starting to relax it's hold on SB and give other shows a chance. We can't be sure for the future until we actually see season 13 and I hope it's good enough to keep the show going.

Whatever might happen, I'm okay with it. I look forward tot he future of spongebob and even if it ends, it had a good run. I enjoy it and like rewatching it. It's not really over until you stop enjoying it. With that being said, spongebob will continue to live on within our hearts and in our minds.
