Andy breathes a sigh of relief with the round of questions. Talking about giving Amaris a mom was not an easy topic for him. He hadn’t really dated since Jessie. Not anything serious. A few one night stands, but never someone he would consider a long life with. “Amaris, just wait by the door. It’s cold out, and you don’t need to stand there with the door open,” she drops her hand from the handle, and stands there twitching.

You look between the two, and while you didn’t want to impose on them, she did say please. They didn’t look like they were going to be doing anything else. And it warmed your heart that they, or at least she, wanted you to stay for Christmas. “I’d love to, Amaris Mae.”

“Okay, you two go downstairs. I’m going to get my pajamas on since you saw my outfit. You want to pick out a Squishmallow to lay on? I want the axolotl though. Might I suggest the dragon. She’s pretty comfortable. Daddy likes the shark,” she goes ahead and picks up the shark and hands it to her dad, while you grab the dragon, and head downstairs with Andy.

“Have you eaten? Tara sent us home with a ton of food if you’re not into snacks,” you don’t know how you missed the living room with all the snacks on the table, but the two of them had created a pretty magnificent spread. “The hot chocolate is in the kitchen, but I can heat you up a plate of real food if you’d like.”

“It’s fine, I had some frozen lasagna.”

“Oh, well…uh, next time don’t hesitate to ask. Tara and Howard wouldn’t mind. Doll’s ex boyfriend was even there.”

“That’s strange.”

“He’s her brother’s friend. Here,” he gives you a fluffy blanket, and goes to the kitchen to start the hot beverage. Moving around quickly. “I don’t want to impose. I’m just so thankful for all you did. I have my daughter, and…there've been a few bad days. Not many. We’ve visited her foster parents, and that seems to help. But she’s home and with me and her family where she belongs. And I just…you should have a family.”

“I…Andy I didn’t have the best experiences in the foster system. I was carted around to so many different houses, and I…I don’t want to talk about that time. But it made me who I am. “Mmm,” you say, taking a sip. “You know what I think it needs?” Amaris skips into the kitchen, already discarded her own Squishmallow on the couch, and she stares excitedly at you. “I think it needs some vanilla, a dash of cinnamon, and some whipped cream,” Andy looks over to Amaris, licking his lips playfully, and goes through the kitchen grabbing what you need.

“You’re lucky,” the little girl giggles. “Nini stocked our kitchen.”

“Ooh! A dusting of cocoa powder.”

“That’s what I told you, daddy!” You fix up everyone’s mugs, but Amaris jumps up, and runs into the pantry, bringing out a container of chocolate chips that she puts on the pile of whipped cream. “This looks professional!” She squeals. She takes a long sip, and smiles at the two of you. “You know, all three of us helped make this the perfect mug of hot chocolate. Try it. You’ll see.”

You had to agree, it really was the perfect mug of hot chocolate.

Andy looks out the window when the movie is over. Smiling over at his sleeping daughter before looking at you, “I don’t feel comfortable with you leaving.”

“What?” He points outside, and you see why. Apparently it had started snowing while you were watching, and it was still coming down, covering the road, and your car.

“I don’t think your little Civic should drive through this. There’s an extra room upstairs. You could wear some of my clothes to sleep in. I just don’t feel comfortable with you driving in this.”

“No, yeah. Yeah, you’re right. I just…I don’t want to push myself into yours and Amaris’ space.”

“Are you kidding me?” He gives a soft chuckle, softly tapping on her leg. “She adores you. She loves the women in her life. I think she hates that…I’m sorry. I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable. Curtis has a big truck…”

Unbeknownst to you, Andy was struggling not to get too excited. “I’ll make us some French toast in the morning. I’ll figure anything else out after that. Maybe some fresh fruit, and eggs.”

Andy felt too comfortable having you here. He wasn’t fighting your company like he did with most women. And he would be blind to not notice how good you looked in his home with his daughter in between the two of you. “Right. Let me get you something to wear, and I’m going to carry the sleeping beauty upstairs. Thank you for tonight.”

“You did everything.”

“I mean, thank you for always being kind to my daughter. You have a good heart, Angel. Come on, let’s find something for you to wear. Gotta clean this mess up. There’s always messes with a kid.”

“I can help.”

kins and jinhae fluff 💞 almost every morning when jinhae (2) wakes up looking for his nini. he has to start his day off with a hug and kiss from his mommy or grandparents (but mostly kins- and his gigi of course when he stays with the mins) kinsley and mason are sitting up in bed one lazy morning checking their emails when they hear a little knock on the door.

jinhae peeks his head through the door. his cheeks are red and puffy, his hair is disheveled and he has the most adorable pout.

About the canoe a reviewer used that emoji for PW and *sighs* I can see the future with rina I can also with them, he probably will do a big gesture and *sighs* parallel Camp Rock, and the fireworks it divides masses. I say it before I know this season's budget is 5 dollars and a dream but maybe they are real fireworks at the end of the competition and they kiss or something. I smell a pw kiss from afar

Yeah I think we can expect a kiss before the end of the season. I mean, their romantic scenes so far were all lacking, pretty much all their scenes together are about him (and what he wants, and his struggles, etc etc), the first kiss scene lead up was weird and the kiss wasn't shown...

One thing I've noticed is how EJ already assumes Gina is in love with him (his "fake scenario" that wasn't fake at all in his mind), and Gina is overanalyzing every time he says "love" to assume it's about the two of them (the "love is an open door" line). Her duet with him was like a fairy tale, mainly in her head, so she's definitely romanticizing it way more than he is.

Maybe he's gonna say he loves her the same way he did with Nini in season 1, anticlimacticly, barely thinking about it, and something that should be a big deal for Gina won't be as she imagined. I would expect the "i go big, Gina" thing from Ricky 🥺

But!! Portwell also deserves good scenes, even if they're not meant to last, so I'm not against fireworks and kisses. I just don't want anyone later accusing Gina of cheating and Ricky of stealing girlfriends when the problem with all EJs relationships come from him.

I honestly don't know what to say. Oml. There's so much to say and so little words out there for me to express how in awe i am of your way with words. The flashback was just so adorable, him making her stuff even though he's mocked by everyone because of the disaster he's created but not caring because his little girl loves it 🥺 excuse me whilst i vomit because ✌🏽💀 daddy issues ✌🏽💀 it really makes you think where did they go wrong. Like he was her everything and then they became so distant because of Jake's militaristic ways it's honestly really sad. It also really reflects on real life and how past experiences can shape someone for the worst because he was so carefree and then he just...wasn't 😭 and honestly as much as i want to fault him, at the same time i see where he's coming from, even if he hasn't been going about it the right way. It's the only way he seems to know.

Her saying she'll protect her siblings had me smiling so hard, since she was so young it was all she thought about and even now you know she'd die for them. Her mixing letters and whatnot is just so cute and funny, Lovak's villain origin began from there 😶

Neteyam being in control despite losing control internally is so sad because it makes you realise how much he had to grow. Lo'aks reaction was perfect. Just...cold. Completely different than how he is normally, honestly it was delicious angst like whew family suffering because of near death experiences? yes please 🤐 Neteyam being the one to comfort his family and even Lo'ak with Tuk was so adorable. Kiri just being in Pandora Jesus mode and taking up a spot with her grandmother in the tent is so Kiri 🤣

Nowwww the Neytiri throwing fists as Jake was a solid for me, he needed that. Sure it wasn't his intention but it still happened. The bit where you mentioned the adoption ceremony had my stomach churning, I'd like to believe even if that did happen the reader wouldn't stand for it she'd be like fuck no, cause sure her dad is thick but he's her dad, that's her person, he's still the same man that sat by the river and made trinkets for her just to see that big, shiny smile on her face.

I'm curious, did Lo'ak run because he overheard the conversation of the possibility of her being adopted out or because he was panicking about the whole situation??? I just assumed it was the first but it could be a mix or the latter. It was great to see how close they all are despite there being strains within the family due to tense relationships amongst some 👀 members 👀 im looking at you Mr. Sully.

Her Ikran having the colours of Toruk dkkskskskaka ugly keyboard smash because that's so fitting. Lo'ak saying he wanted to fly with her 🥺 they all lost out on her big moment. AND THEN HER IKRAN HAVING LOST HALF OF ITS FIN TAIL AHHHHH LIKE??? I THOUGHT OF TOOTHLESS STRAIGHT AWAY AND WAS LIKE AHHHHHHHH CAUSE OML THE HTTYD MOMENT IS SO CUTE. Like, that flashback was really meant to show how different Jake was. How relaxed he was with sister!reader, how good everything used to be... growing apart from that closeness is just SO SAD.

Also I'd been keeping this inside but like. it's meant to parallel jake's paralysis too -- that ikran's lost his legs kinda, just like him. so it's meant to symbolize a lot (for jake) if I can do this right!

as to why lo'ak ran off, it was a mix of everything. he was panicking, his parents are fighting, all of them are listening in and he couldnt take it anymore, so to speak! AND THE SONG YOU PUT STOPPPPP ITS TOTALLY JAKE AND LOAK SHHESDSHD IM IN MY FEELS!!!! I think you'll like their little scene in chapter 5 then....
