Hey, do you ever think about Cindy during the WoD years, with the pressures of brainstorming new ideas to keep the lights longer and probably keeping most of the remaining usable vehicles running yet at almost every turn, hearing about civilians or even hunters lost to the darkness coupled with the worry and constantly checking in with her last family member now and again but also still being at the garage where her deepest traumatizing fears are right in her backyard and between that and her occasional ( lbr, they're probably more frequent ) night terrors, sometimes everything becomes so much that at just random intervals she just breaks down crying?

Johnny x Tae: Parents pt.3

Johnny has his arm securely around Tae's waist as the walked to the Curtis house. Tae had calmed down and stopped crying. They walked up the porch steps, and walked into the house.

"Thank god!" Darry exclaimed...

"...what's wrong" Darry slowly stood up

"Some soc started stuff with her...i-i beat them up though" Johnny replied

"I'm so sorry Tae...i-i should have never yelled at you" Darry said pulling Tae into a hug

"It's ok Darry...I swear it is. I've...I've yelled at you too you know" Tae responded shyly.

"It's a little different " Darry chuckled

"I know" Tae said.

"Why did he yell at you" Johnny asked curiously.

"Oh we're were talking about yo-" Darry said slyly

"We were...um talking about me going to the Nightly Double but he got mad because...um...he didn't want me to go alone because he didn't want me to get hurt!" Tae blurted out.

"Oh ok." Johnny said.

"Why don't you to get cleaned up. I have to make dinner so I cant really help right now" Darry said with a smile.

"Alrighty then" Tae said.

Johnny and Tae walked to the bathroom to take care of themselves...well mainly Tae. She had unfortunately taken the most punches.

"Sit down on the vanity" Johnny commanded.

"K" Tae responded as she hopped up onto the vanity. Johnny pulled some hydrogen peroxide, bandaids and Neosporin. All the stuff they were gonna need, minus the towel what was already out. Johnny started by dabbing the cuts and scratches with the hydrogen peroxide on the towel.

"So...um...when Darrel was trying to explain why he yelled...it sounded like he was gonna say the word 'you'...but 'you' as in me...since he was talking to me. Why were you talking about me?" Johnny asked in a whisper. He put the rag down and grabbed the Neosporin before putting a few band-aids on.

"B-because I like you Johnnycakes" Tae responded.

"L-like like me?"

"Yes"

"Why would he yell about that? Shouldn't be be happy?"

"He is...but I'm like a kid sister to him, and he thinks that if I fall in love I'll get hurt. But I know you wouldn't hurt me...you dig?" Tae explained

"Yea...I dig. I-i like you too."

"Who wouldn't" Tae said to lighten the mood

"If people don't look at you and don't immediately fall in love what are they doin'?" Johnny joked

"W-what?" Tae replied

Johnny took a deep breath...

"I've liked since I laid eyes on you Tae. Your just so pretty, and then I got to know you and you're amazingly kind too!"

"Wow... thanks...i-ive really liked you since I laid eyes on you too. You're really cute! And once I got you talking, I fell in love with your voice...and you're really sweet too!"

"Hmm...come on. You're all cleaned up, so we can go out now."

"What about your scratches Johnny?" Tae asked.

"Oh those...it's fine don't worry"

"You sure Johnnycakes?"

"Yea...yea I'm sure Tae Tae" Johnny chuckled

"Ok!" Tae said as the pair walked out of the bathroom to see none other than Dallas in the living room. He wasn't there before, but then again the pair expected him to come over since everyone else was there too.

"What were you lovebirds doing?" Dallas questioned moving his eyebrows up and down

"Well some stupid socs were bothering Tae, so we had to get her cleaned up...I mean if you didn't notice the band aids on her face" Johnny said in a sassy tone.

"Johnny" Tae said warningly, looking at him.

"Eh, whatever. Dallas lets me sas him. I'm the only one who can, why not show off my little privilege " Johnny said shrugging with a little smirk on his face

All Tae did was laugh.

"What!?" Johnny smiles as he asks

"Nothin darlin" Tae said as she watched Johnny blush at the new nickname. The pair sat down at the dinner table since Darry was almost done cooking.
