Okay my dream last night was insanely cool

Apparently I joined the crystal gems and this was quite a bit into the future, because Jasper was helping us too. It was Jasper, Amethyst, Lapis, Myself, and Steven. We located a small shed-like base in a remote area after several abnormal storms had been reported there by Garnet When we got there we found a yellow gem that looked like a literal mix of Lapis and Pearl. She attacked us, thinking we were going to hurt her, and whenever Amethyst tried to shapeshift, the yellow gem would wave her hand and suddenly Amethyst would shapeshift into something unstable and wouldn't even be able to stand. As Lapis flew myself and Steven around to try and get some form of intel on her, Jasper was trying to fight her as well, until the yellow gem did the same to her. Suddenly something clicked for me and I asked Lapis to land in front of her. With both Amethyst AND JASPER incapacitated by unstable forms, I informed her we were just here to safely retrieve information and meant no harm. She stopped attacking and said "oh! Why didn't you say so in the first place? I'm Citrine." Very oddly friendly for someone who was just attacked. That was when I noted she had a blue diamond symbol on her. Steven wondered if she was a gem from the war that got trapped here, since where no ships in the area, but I knew she wasn't. I asked, very calmly, "which era are you" and she responded "era 2." "Then you're not from the war" "nope, I was sent here by Blue Diamond." I then asked how she changed Amethyst's and Jasper's forms and she explained her special power was to manipulate the forms of other gems, and it was only really effective as a self-defense ability. Since Steven had her distracted by talking and his general hospitality, Lapis and I snuck into the shed to see what could be so important that she would send a gem whose only power is manipulating the forms of others and trust she could make it back unshattered. The shed was filled with bubbled gems and various tools. And I ran over to a gem in a familiar pink bubble. "Lapis, look. A Rose Quartz gem. THATS why she's here." And since Lapis understood why the diamonds would want this hidden Rose Quartz gem in proper custody, she snatched it and sent it off to the temple. When the two of us walked back out, Amethyst and Jasper were standing guard while Steven talked about humans and all the nice things about Earth. That's when Citrine just came out and said "Really? It sounds so much nicer than back home. You guys seem cool. I think I'd rather stay here." Suddenly, we all got attacked by what looked like drones. Lapis, assuming it was a trap all along, held Citrine in a water hand to keep her from using her power until Citrine genuinely freaked out like "I don't know where they came from! I have never seen them! I was just sent here to retrieve a gem who could potentially do wrong!" And so Lapis reluctantly let her go. Jasper, knowing the Diamonds VERY well, got everyone under cover while she fought off the drones, explaining that they were likely sent to track Citrine and make sure she got the job done, since her cut seems easily swayed. The level of distrust from that information left Citrine PISSED and she joined in the fight, using her power to actually help Jasper. Once all the drones were taken care of and destroyed, we all headed back to the temple to report to Garnet a successful mission, and a new friend.

Hi Guys!

Welcome to my first ever blog post! My name is Jessica and I am currently studying to be a Life & Spirit Coach in Brisbane, Australia.

I am extremely passionate about wanting to help people (#lightworker) and helping others on their own life and spiritual journey. Whilst I am undertaking studies I will be positing positive posts regularly on my Instagram (@jessicaellenlc) and also doing blog posts on life & spiritual things as well.

I decided to pick my favourites out of my current collection as I wanted to also show you the crystals I started out with as a beginner incase any of you were interested in starting your own little crystal collection! (They also make excellent gifts for christmas!) 

Rose Quartz 

What does it do?: Rose Quartz brings gentle, soft feelings of self love. Excellent for healing emotional wounds and treating the emotional body. It's calming and gentle energy brings unconditional love, peace and harmony.

How can I use it?: You can place it in a spot where you will see it everyday in your home (your bedroom is always a good place to keep this), you can meditate with it, put it under your pillow when you sleep and you can also carry it around with you everyday in your purse, pocket or bag to bring love wherever you go.

How do you personally use it?: All of the above.

Citrine

What does it do?: Citrine is one of TWO minerals on the planet which does NOT hold negative energy. This particular crystal assists in acquiring wealth and balancing chakras.

How can I use it?: You can keep it in a spot in your home where you will see it everyday (bedroom or living room is perfect for this little guy - just make sure it can be around your energy so it can work its powerful magic), you can meditate with it, you can hold it in your dominant hand and speak positive affirmations of wealth (just make sure to cleanse the crystal before hand, you can do this by using filtered water and giving it a bit of a gentle wash), you can carry it around with you to bring wealth with you wherever you go and also sleep with it under your pillow.

How do you personally use it?: All of the above. 

Smokey Quartz 

What is it used for?: Transforms negative emotions and energy patterns. Gets rid of any anger, resentment and emotional blockages. An excellent grounding stone, aids meditation and stimulates higher awareness. Provides protective barrier around wearer.

How do I use it?: You can keep it in a spot in your home (bedroom, living room or near the front door), meditate with it, sleep with it under your pillow (you can also put this one at the bottom of your bed to ground you for a good nights sleep) and also carry it around with you to provide a protective barrier in negative situations.

How do you personally use it?: I personally like to carry this one around with me and also put it in my bedroom at night time. It is a miracle worker with diffusing negative emotions and energy you may be experiencing. It also protects you from negative energy from others as well. 

Amethyst 

What does it do?: Amethyst is the 'Stone of spirituality'. It provides peace, clears the aura, protects against negativity, assists with insomnia, anxiety, stability, migraines, releasing addictions and strength. 

How do I use it?: You can keep it in a spot in your home (bedroom, living room, near the front door to keep negative energy away - just make sure you don't pop this one near Televisions or Computers as the energy can interfere with electronics), meditate with it, carry it around with you or sleep with it under your pillow.

How do you personally use it?: I personally use it during meditation and keep it in my bedroom to protect against negative energy. I personally found sleeping with it under my pillow gave me very vivid dreams as it's spiritual vibration is incredibly high.

Clear Quartz

What does it do?: Clear Quartz encourages clarity of thought and purpose in one's heart and mind. It will amplify any energy which it moves into resonance, including other stones, constantly broadcasting that energy into the Earths electromagnetic field. This makes Clear Quartz an excellent stone to use for healing, manifestation or prayer work. Clear Quartz helps to establish a strong, clear connection to higher guidance.

How can I use it?: You can keep it in a spot in your home, it is best utilised when placed with all your other crystals you own. Clear Quartz amplifies all the energy of the other stones increasing their power. If you carry crystals with you day by day you can carry this one with you as well to amplify the power of the others. You can also meditate with it whilst you ask for guidance on specific situations in your life.

How do you personally use it?: I keep mine (I have about 3 clear quartz pieces) with all my other crystals in my bedroom to amplify the energy of them. If I carry crystals around with me I will take a clear quartz with me as well.

Where can I buy crystals? 

I always recommend to anyone wanting to buy crystals that they go to their local crystal shop or markets (a quick google search based on your location will help you out there). When picking crystals it is important to pick out ones you do feel drawn to the most, as thats how you know that crystal is meant for you and your energy. 

If you do decide to buy them online, I have bought a fair few online from New Zealand - make sure to give it a good wash as soon as you receive it, so it can bond with your energy and not the person/people who were handling your package to deliver it to you. You can bond with your crystals by putting them under your pillow or meditating with them. 

If you happen to receive crystals as a gift, make sure to clean your crystals as soon as you can so they can become accustom to your energy.

Crystal Cleaning and Care

Since crystals are made up of energy and they do absorb energy, they do need cleaning and charging to keep the energy of them positive. If you don't clean them or charge them they may stop being effective for you until you do so.

I clean mine once a month on the Full Moon but since I handle mine quite a fair bit, I often will do it twice a month. You can often tell when they need cleaning by holding them in your hand and seeing how they feel. If the energy feels a bit off give them a nice bath.

There are multiple ways to clean crystals but I personally use filtered water on mine (just make sure you do a quick search in google to make sure the crystals you have can be washed with water).

You can use Salt Water, Dry Salt, Non-Contact Salt (this method is the most non damaging of the salt options), Smudging, Visualisation and Incense.  I hold my crystals in my dominant hand and pour filtered water over them and imagine any negative energy being washed away. 

On a Full Moon I will them place my crystals on my window pane inside to soak up the moons energy. In the morning, I take them off my window sill and put them back where they usually live.
