Foolish didnât think he would ever see her again. And he still hasnât, in a way.
When the totem of death had met Eret, she was a powerful being. She could defeat anyone in battle, yet still had the most relaxed, carefree, whimsical personality out of anyone that he had ever met. It was a perfect balance of light and darkness.
When the totem of life had met Eret, she was frantic. Uptight. Cautious. And he didnât really blame her. She was a king, after all.
He just wondered what had made her this way.
So, here he was, in her castle, wandering and looking for the royal. Foolish wasnât sure why, but he wanted to speak to Eret. He didnât even know what he was going to talk about. He just⌠yearned for her, supposedly.
Some familiar humming could be heard around the corner, and Foolish saw the door to the castle library wide open. Taking a peek inside, he could see Eret walking amongst the bookshelves, a stack of books in her arms. It didnât take long for her to spot him.
âFoolish?â She questioned.
ââŚEret!â He said, stepping inside the room. âUh, are you busy?â
âNot really. Whatâs up?â
Foolish paused, wondering what to say next. He didnât know why, but she seemed to not really know who he was. From her perspective, they had known each other only for a few days. But from his perspective, they had known each other for a whole lifetime.
And he wasnât sure if âWe were best friends years ago and fought against monsters along with a wither cult together, except you donât seem to remember it or me at allâ was the best conversation starter.
âI just⌠wanted to check in.â He shrugged, walking to her. âHow have ya been?â
âIâve been alright.â She nodded, giving him a soft grin. âHow about you? How have you been adjusting to your arrival here?â
Instead of answering right away, a thought crossed his mind. Why was she acting so formal? It was just the two of themâŚ
âItâs been pretty good, yeah.â He said in response.
âCan I help you with anything?â Eret wondered aloud.
âNot particularly, but⌠is it okay if I stay here for a little bit?â The totem asked, hoping to not intrude.
âOh, of course!â She nodded. âMy castle is a home to all who pass by. You donât ever have to ask, Foolish.â
âIâll keep that in mind.â He smiled as Eret turned back around.
As she went back to stacking books on the bookshelves, Foolish looked around the surrounding area. The walls were sky-high, decorated with paintings and glass mosaic windows. Yet, the library felt small, but not in a bad way. It was homey, in a sense. Multiple chairs were set around a table, an ottoman couch aligned itself against the wall, and the lit fireplace emitted warmth into the library.
Foolish sat down at the table, which had various books and papers scattered about it. âSo, what exactly are you doing right now?â He asked.
âOh, just some organizing.â Eret called back to him.
âYou seem like the organizer type.â Foolish thought.
âHm, I suppose I could be described as such.â Eret said with a light chuckle.
Wait, did he say that out loud?
âIt just helps me keep my mind off of things, I guess.â She continued. âI enjoy it, it keeps myself busy.â
Foolish nodded in acknowledgment, his eyes drawn to what was on the table. He could see books open to pages about historical events, and he saw a couple of photos of people he had and hadnât met yet. Eret walked over, giving Foolish a soft, comforting smile as she placed some books onto the table, and grabbed the ones that were already there. She turned around and started walking away, and Foolish quickly stood up to follow her.
âThis castle is really big⌠did you build it all yourself?â He asked.
âMostly, with a bit of assistance here and there.â Eret nodded.
She had always had a passion for building. Foolish remembered times of back in the day, when Eret would always talk about large building projects she wanted to do, but didnât have the time for.
Even with how much sheâs changed, it made him happy to see that this passion of hers had stayed the same over time.
Eret hummed to herself, quickly walking amongst the bookshelves and finding the right places to put the books in. Foolish was low-key amazed with how easily she did it, even if it was relatively simple.
âYouâre quite intriguing, you know.â
Foolish looked to his friend, who was looking back at him. ââŚI am?â He raised an eyebrow, confused.
âYou are.â Eret nodded, turning back to the shelves. âI know we only met a couple of days ago, but I felt drawn to you, if Iâm being honest. Iâm not really sure why⌠it could be your personality, or that we share similar interest in building things⌠I donât know. Itâs just⌠youâre a very interesting person, Foolish.â
Foolish kept staring, unsure what to say in response. The royal turned back to see his surprised face, her lips curling into a small, awkward grin.
âSorry, that was very sudden. I just felt like I should say it.â She apologized.
âNo! No, itâs fine! I appreciate it!â Foolish reassured. âReally, I do.â
Eret nodded. âWell, itâs true. Youâre very interesting, Iâll admit.â
ââŚIâm not really surprised that thatâs what you think. I mean, they donât call me âFoolish âMost Interesting God Aliveâ Gamersâ for nothing.â He joked around, knowing no one had ever called him that. The joke made Eret smile, and then it made her laugh. She shook her head, laughing softly at the otherâs silly behavior.
As they stood, Foolishâs emerald eyes looked out the window, seeing the dark night sky. âOh- wow. I didnât realize how late it was.â He pointed out.
Eret turned, noticing the darkness as well. âOh my. It doesnât even feel like youâve been here for long.â She sighed, turning back to her friend. âWell, you know what they say. Time flies when youâre having fun.â
The totem grinned, happy to know that Eret enjoyed his company.
âI should probably get going.â He said, unsure if he wanted to leave, in all honesty.
âWell, you get a good nightâs rest.â She nods. âAnd like I said earlier, my castle is home to anyone that steps inside. Youâre welcome to come and visit any time.â
âIâll be sure to, Eret.â Foolish nodded in return, leaning forward and placing his hand on her shoulder, giving it a reassuring squeeze, as if to say, âIâll definitely be back.â
However, Eret let out a startled noise, stepping away and placing a hand over her mouth.
Foolish stared at her, intrigued. âWhat was that?â He asked.
âI- Nothing. It was nothing.â Eret said, looking away and placing one final book on itâs shelf.
âNothing?â Foolish repeated. âIt didnât seem like nothing, it-â
Oh.
Oh.
In that moment, Foolish had remembered one small, tiny detail about his friend.
And by the looks of it, it was a detail that had stayed the same about Eret, even after all these years.
âEret?â Foolish questioned, this time, with mischievous intent that was obvious to the other.
âFoolish, I thought you said you had to get going.â Eret said with a nervous grin.
The god huffed out a breath. âYou know what? Youâre right. Itâs getting dark. I had fun spending time with you, though.â He exclaimed, holding his hand out to Eret. She looked a bit confused at first, but slowly reached towards his hand to give him a handshake. And thenâŚ
BZZZT!
As a small spark united between them, Eret burst into giggles, pulling her hand away. âWhahat the hell?!â She asked Foolish, who held a shit-eating grin on his face.
âGotcha!â He giggled along with her.
âThat⌠that felt weird.â She said, looking at her own hand.
âWeird how?â Foolish smirked, knowing the answer. Eret looked up, giggling with a nervous smile on her face.
âOh, come on, pal! You were all chatty with me earlier, and now youâre not answering my question! Kind of rude, donât you think?â He poked at her side a couple of times, watching her flinch and squirm away.
âFohoolihish-â She snickered, returning to covering her mouth with her hand. She felt the otherâs hands wrap around her torso and squeeze at her sides, and she didnât have time to properly think before her body went limp like jello.
âOh goHOD!â Eret melted in his hold, uncovering her mouth and letting her laughter flow free.
âAwww, thereâs that smile!â Foolish cooed, squeezing up and down and up and down again. He noticed that Eret was losing balance, so he slowly lowered her to the ground, following her down and continuing his playful attack.
âYouâre not even fighting back!â Foolish noted out loud, to which his friend let out an embarrassed, giggly whine into his chest. While keeping one hand squeezing away at her side, he surprised her by using her other hand to scribble at her stomach. Eret let out a sudden squeal, her squirming increasing almost instantly. She continued to laugh until she grabbed onto Foolishâs wrists.
âO-Ohokahay! Thahatâs eHEnohough!â She giggled as Foolishâs hands came to a stop. They were looking right at each other, and he could see her smile.
Now, for the past few days of knowing each other, Eret had smiled at Foolish. She had given him small, welcoming, smiles and warm grins. This, however, right now? It was a smile. A large, goofy, genuine smile.
It was the smile that Foolish had recognized from seeing it years ago. It was the smile that would be on Eretâs face whenever exploring a hidden temple. It was the smile that would be on Eretâs face when she was laughing too hard to be able to get out a full sentence. It was the smile that was Eretâs face when she and Foolish had realized that they had defeated the wither cult for good.
And right now, it was the genuine smile that Foolish had longed to see. He didnât realize how much he wanted to see it. How much he needed to see it. All of those years of memories were flooding back to him, and it made him feel warm inside.
However, his thoughts were interrupted by a shriek of his own laughter.
âEHERET-! Wahait! WaHAhait!â He squealed out, feeling fingers start to dance along his sides. âThihis ihisnât faHAIHIR!â
âOh come on, Iâm just doing what you did to me! And I, for one, think thatâs completely fair!â Eret grinned, swiping her nails across his belly and making him giggle like mad. âWow, it looks like youâre a lot more ticklish than myself.â She teased.
âReally?â Eret smirked evilly, more than willing to test that theory. She increased the speed of her fingers, wiggling themselves all around his side and stomach.
âAnd youâre not even fighting back, either! How adorableâŚâ She smiled, giggling as she watched Foolishâs face become pink with embarrassment. In this moment, her hands trailed down to his hips, lightly scratching along them. Foolishâs laughter went up a whole octave, and he covered his face with his hands.
âIs this a bad spot?â Eret teased, her movements light and taunting. Foolish shook his head no, and the two of them knew that was a lie. She squeezed at his hips and used the tips of her nails to add light scratching to the sensation. The shark hybrid let out a loud snort, laughing and grabbing onto her wrists as she had done with him earlier.
âOKAHAY! Okayokayohokahay! Tihime ohout!!â He insisted, watching as Eret laughed and pulled her hand away. The two of them sat together on the floor, looking into each otherâs eyes and letting leftover giggles fill the air.
âI should prohobably go, itâs pretty dark out.â Foolish stated, standing up and helping Eret stand up as well.
âAlright.â Eret sighed, grinning as she held onto Foolishâs hand. ââŚFoolish, I know weâve known each other only for a couple of days, but⌠I have a feeling this friendship will last for a long time.â
Weâve known each other only for a couple of days.
Those words rung painfully in Foolishâs ears. They had a lifetime of memories together as best friends, and she didnât remember a single one of them.
And before he realized he had done so, Foolish had pulled Eret into a tight hug.
The library that was filled with the joyous sounds of laughter just a few minutes ago was now filled with a cold silence.
Eret paused, surprised, but she hugged him back after a moment. Her warmth made Foolish feel a familiar feeling that he had not felt in a while.
He felt at home.
Eret pulled away, smiling. âI suppose Iâll see you soon?â She asked.
âYeah⌠yeah.â Foolish nodded, giving her one last look before walking towards the door. âNight, Eret!â
âGoodnight, Foolish.â She said, following him until he had left the room, and then gently closing the door behind him.
Foolish walked down the halls of her castle, heading towards the entrance to leave. As he walked along the wooden floor, he couldnât help but feel a tiny bit upset. He didnât know what had caused Eret to lose her memories, and he wanted to know. However, the sadness was quickly replaced with a feeling of hope. Hope for a bright future with his friend.
It was just as she said. Even though Eret had only known him for a couple of days, they were already very close.
Maybe one day, they would become as close as they used to be.
summary:Â tubbo gets badly hurt, and a friend comes by his side to restore him back to health. in the process, they rediscover something interesting.
GUESS WHOâS MOTIVATION TO WRITE CAME BACK??? ITâS MINE!!! anyways i believe in tubbo and eret having a sibling-like bond supremacy
warning: this is a sfw tickle fic! donât read if that makes you uncomfortable :]
content warnings: injuries, blood
Tubbo was⌠not exactly having the best day.
Actually, scratch that. Tubbo was having a horrible fucking day.
He knew it from the instant he woke up. It was just a feeling rooted in his stomach that today wasnât going to be a good day. And he was definitely right.
So first, Ranboo was gone. He had plans to take Michael up on a small trip, which left Tubbo in the mansion all by himself. He also woke up feeling a little sickly and under the weather, maybe he had come down with some sort of cold? Regardless, it kept him in his bed for the majority of the morning.
After he felt well enough to get out of bed, he felt like hanging out with someone, anyone. But anytime he messaged someone, heâd just get a response of denial. Eret and Foolish were busy working on a build, Tommy had a therapy session, and Sam was watching the prison, to name a few inconveniences.
He ended up going outside and just wandering around. He didnât really have any sort of purpose or destination, he just needed to do something to keep himself busy. Tubbo walked around for what felt like days, eventually getting to a forestry area on the outskirts, and later, a cave. Well, maybe he could go and get some materials? If he couldnât do anything fun today, heâd at least do something productive. He didnât really have any good tools on him, though. Ah, whatever. Itâs not like he needed a ton anyway.
Little did Tubbo know, it wouldâve definitely been a better idea to just mind his own business. Or go back and get better tools. Anything except for going into the cave with what he already had.
For starters, Tubbo only had a handful of torches on him. And he ran out. Very quickly. Not very convenient. And it didnât take long for him to run into mobs either. He was able to fight them off for a bit, but not for long. Soon, he ended up taking hit after hit. Creeper explosion after creeper explosion. Zombie punch after zombie punch. And for the grand finale, a skeleton shooting an arrow right into his stomach.
Everything hurts.
In all honesty, Tubbo was a little shocked that he made it out alive.
He got out of the cave, and it was still nightfall. The young boy stumbled along the ground, leaning up against a nearby tree. He could see that he was leaving a trail of blood in his path. Fuck. He wasnât even sure where he was, in all honesty. Would he even be able to get home in this state? Taking the arrow out of his stomach would just make him endure more pain than what he was currently feeling, and he wasnât sure if he wanted to put up with that right now. Tubbo could feel himself slowly becoming unconscious.
Was this the end?
The next time Tubbo opened his eyes, it was very slowly. He was definitely in less pain, but he still felt very weak. He was laying down on a soft surface, and could hear the repeated sound of footsteps. He tried to sit up, only to groan at the feeling of a pain in his stomach.
âOh, thank goodness, youâre awake.â
Tubbo turned around slowly, instantly recognizing the voice of a friend.
ââŚEret?â He asked, only to wince in pain afterward. The king, who had been standing on the other side of the room, quickly rushed to his aid.
âShhh, here. Lie down.â Eret said, gently laying Tubbo back down on the bed that he was in.
âWhat⌠What happened?â He asked weakly, watching his friend sit in a chair next to him.
âWell⌠I donât know what you went through, but I was running out into the forest, because I was running low on building materials. I found you lying against a tree⌠and you looked really badly wounded. I honestly thought you were dead at first, I was terrified.â An expression of worry and fear overtook Eretâs face as they explained themselves. âI managed to pick you up and take you back to my castle, and get you patched up a little bit. Iâve been staying here ever since, youâve been asleep for nearly a day.â
When Eret finished, Tubbo looked down to see that the arrow there before was now gone. Lifting up his shirt, he saw that his abdomen had been wrapped in bloody bandages.
ââŚThank you, Eret.â He nodded, thankful to have such a caring friend.
âHey, what kind of king would I be to just leave you there?â Eret asked softly, chuckling afterwards. âAlso, you were asleep, but Tommy came by to visit earlier. Iâm not quite sure if heâll admit it, but he shed quite a few tears.â
Tubbo couldnât help but smile at the thought of Tommy claiming he hadnât cried. He started to chuckle, but pain shot through his body, and he held onto his stomach. Eret quickly leaned over him, holding him lightly.
âAre you okay? Whatâs wrong?â They asked.
Tubbo stayed silent for a few moments, looking up at his friend. ââŚIt hurts to laugh.â He said, sadness in his own voice.
Eret sighed, examining the condition of their friend. âYou should probably get some rest.â They suggested.
âBut I just woke upâŚâ Tubbo whined. The king chuckled, shaking their head and adjusting the blankets on the bed.
âI know, I know. But youâre still badly hurt.â
ââŚFine.â He mumbled, sinking underneath the covers.
For the next three days, Tubbo spent a lot of time resting. Eret was a gracious caretaker, making food for Tubbo to eat and staying by his side consistently. Theyâd also keep Tubbo entertained with stories and long conversations. Being told to stay in bed for days wasnât what Tubbo preferred, but Eret being by his side made it all the better.
Tubbo had forgotten how much he had enjoyed talking to Eret. The two of them were both normally quite busy people, and didnât talk to each other as much as they used to. However, Eret always seemed to be up to something interesting. Both of them had been keeping each other entertained, laughing at each otherâs jokes and stories.
âYouâre feeling better.â Eret smiled with realization, watching as Tubbo laughed at one of their stories.
âI guess so!â Tubbo grinned, noticing how he didnât feel any pain.
âActually, now that I think about it, that wound you got from the arrow is probably healed by now. I can probably remove your bandages.â The monarch stated. âTubbo, would you mind lifting your shirt up?â
âOh, sure.â Tubbo sat up, unbuttoning the bottom buttons of his shirt and lifting it up to the bottom of his ribs. Leaning over, Eret carefully pressed their fingers along Tubboâs side, trying to find where the bandage started. Once they started to trail their fingers along his side, however, Tubbo yelped and shoved Eretâs hands away.
They looked at him with surprise, before a lightbulb went off in their head, and they smiled. âSorry. Forgot about how ticklish you are.â They chuckled as Tubbo rolled his eyes.
âIâm not that bad, it just surprised me.â He groaned. Eret shook their head, continuing to try and find the beginning of the bandage. Tracing along Tubboâs back, they could feel his body start to shake, and see his smile growing larger.
âTubbo, you need to hold still.â Eret chuckled.
âIâm tryihing!â Insisted the younger.
âWhat was that about saying you werenât that ticklish?â
âIâm not!â
âIâm just teasing you.â They laughed softly, finding the end of the bandage. They carefully manuvered around Tubboâs middle, unwrapping the bandage bit by bit. Despite Tubboâs struggle to say in place, Eret removed all of the dirty bandages, placing them on the ground. There was still a scar from where the arrow had pierced him, but it looked like it was pretty much fully healed.
âItâs a battle scar.â Tubbo grinned. Eret smiled as well, hoping that the scar was healed fully, and Tubbo wouldnât have to stay in bed anymore. They placed a finger on his scar, poking it gently. The ram-hybrid squeaked, giggling childishly.
âIt doesnât hurt at all, does it?â They asked, worried. With a smile, Tubbo shook his head, and Eret let out a sigh of relief. They traced around the scar with curiousity, and could tell that Tubbo was genuinely trying not to make things harder for them.
An idea spawned in Eretâs mind, and they smirked to themselves. They poked at Tubboâs scar again, making him giggle softly. The monarch continued to poke at the scar, and Tubboâs giggles grew into soft laughter.
âEheherehehet!â He laughed, pushing their hand away.
âWhat? Iâm just trying to make sure you feel better!â Eret grinned, poking all over his stomach now.
âWell, itâs your fault for being so ticklish, then.â They teased, their pokes becoming more rapid. Tubbo let out an assortment of giggles and squeaks, much to Eretâs delight. As an act of defense, Tubbo grabbed one of the pillows on the bed and started to hit Eret with it.
âACK- wahahait!â Eret laughed, trying to grab the pillow from him.
âAha! Take that, bitch!â Tubbo grinned, the two of them laughing at the playful situation. After a few more hits, they grabbed the pillow from Tubboâs hands, throwing it to the ground and out of his reach.
âOh, Tubbo. You are really in for it, now.â They chuckled evilly.
It didnât take any time at all for the fear to set in for Tubbo, who instantly backed away from Eret, moving to the other side of the bed. âW-Wait! Eheret! Iâm sorry!â He insisted, but was only greeted with Eret moving and sitting next to him on the bed.
âYou brought this on yourself.â Eret grinned, wiggling their fingers.
âEheherehet! I prohomihise, Iâm sohoHOHORRY! EHEREHET! NOHOHO!!â Tubbo shrieked as he felt fingers dig into his sides.
âWow, I had no idea you were this ticklish, Tubbo!â They grinned, fluttering fingers over the otherâs stomach.
âSHUHUHUT THE FUHUCK UHUP!!â He barked back through ticklish laughter, kicking his legs and attempting to get away, but Eret held him in place firmly. Damn, they were a lot stronger than he remembered.
âHey! Thatâs not nice! I think youâll have to learn your lesson!â Eret slowed down the pace of their fingers, but curled them into Tubboâs sides to keep him in place.
âYohouâre a biHIhitch.â He said while squirming back and forth.
They gasped. âAm I now?!â
âYeheah, you ahare!â
âHmm, youâre so rude.â Eret shook their head. âYou definitely deserve whatâs coming your way.â
Giggling evilly, Eret turned Tubbo so that he was laying face up, pulled closer towards them. With a deep inhale, they quickly leaned down and blew a raspberry on their stomach, shaking their head so that their hair lightly trailed along his belly as well. They were delighted by the scream that came out of Tubboâs mouth, that dissolved into giggly laughter.
âNAHAHAHAHA- EHEHERET!â
âTubbo!â They mimicked, moving their hands up and down his ribs and sides. After a few more playful moments, they stopped, sitting next to Tubbo and watching him catch his breath.
âYohou suhuhuck.â Tubbo giggled as he laid across the bed.
âOh, come on. We both know you were having fun.â Eret smirked. Tubboâs face heated up, and Eret laughed when he grabbed a pillow to cover his face.
âLuckily, the fact that you went through all of that without hurting yourself means that youâre definitely healed.â They stated, which made Tubbo remove the pillow and sit up with intriguement.
âWait, really?â He asked, his eyes glimmering.
âWell, yeah. I mean, you took those tickles like a champion.â Eret poked Tubboâs side a couple more times, laughing as the other squeaked and pushed their hand away.
âWell, thatâs definitely good news.â Tubbo nodded, buttoning his shirt back up so that Eret couldnât try to be sneaky again. Both of them got off of the bed, and Tubbo took a few steps forward.
âMan, it feels like I havenât walked in years!â The young boy said with excitement.
âYouâve only been here for a few days, and you didnât even spend all of that time in bed.â Eret grinned, amused.
âYeah, but it was most of it!â He whined, making the two of them laugh. ââŚI really do approcate you taking care of me until I get better, Eret. It really means a lot.â
âHey, itâs no problem.â They nodded. Tubbo wrapped their arms around them in a hug, and Eret did the same, the two of them embracing each other.
âWait, so you think Iâm fully back to health? Like, I can do anything?â Tubbo asked after he let go.
âWell, maybe not anything. Iâd rest on any major physical activities for a few days, but you can probably do most things without feeling pain.â Eret nodded.
âPerfect!â Tubbo took a couple steps backward. âDo you know what that means I can do?â
âHm? What?â
âTHIS!â
âWh- AH! Hey! TubbOHO- WahaHAIT!â
âRevenge, bitch!â
Tubbo quickly tackled Eret back onto the bed, curling his fingers into their sides. The king threw their head back and laughed wholeheartedly, trying to pry his hands off. They had it coming, to be fair. In fact, Tubbo was probably planning this the second they had stopped their own attack.
They both had forgotten how much they missed each otherâs company. Eretâs hospitality meant a lot to Tubbo, and Eret was more than happy to have someone stay with them in the castle for a bit.
They would really have to start hanging out with each other again.
summary: niki has a problem, and eret is partially to blame. what better way to repay her by tackling the problem itself? however, the problem happens to be a playful tubbo who wants revenge.
hi guys this is three days late <3 however i absolutely loved writing this and i finally posted an eret-centric fic for this event! eret my beloved :}
warning: this is a sfw tickle fic! donât read if that makes you uncomfortable :]
âBuddy, come on! Itâs safe, youâre completely safe. Iâm not going to hurt you at all.â
ââŚâ
ââŚItâs the boots, isnât it?â
ââŚâ
âLook, Iâll take off the boots, and I wonât be as tall anymore. Will that make you less scared of me?â
âMeow!â
Eret sighed, putting her head in her hands. This task was a lot more difficult than she had anticipated.
Her day had been going completely normal until she heard a noise of meowing outside. Curious, she went to explore, and found a small, brown, stray tabby cat. She wanted to take it inside to give it some food, but it was very skittish, and now, she was trying to get it to come out from its hiding spot, which was under a rose bush outside of her castle.
âIâm trying to help you, bud. Câmon. Câmonnn!â Eret spoke quietly to the cat, but it still stayed put. She sighed, thinking for a moment. Maybe she had some leftover fish left in the kitchen? Hopefully. Sheâd grab anything to get this cat to come to her. It was expected to rain later in the day, and she didnât want it to stay out in the cold.
â...Alright, Iâll be right back, buddy. Iâm just going to grab something for ya.â She nodded, standing up and dusting dirt off of her clothes. Eret had to get something for this cat, even if it was small. However, right when she went to do just that, she turned around and felt the weight of someone crashing into her. Surprised, she looked down to see a head of light blonde hair.
âNiki?â She asked, instantly recognizing her friend.
Her friend looked up at her, saying nothing. Niki suddenly grabbed Eretâs wrist, dragging her to the gates of her own castle.
âWoah- hey! Niki!â She stumbled as Niki grabbed her, but let the baker drag her along anyway. She was walked through the gates of her own castle, pushed inside as Niki hastily closed the doors.
âNiki, whatâs going on?â Eret turned to Niki, her face holding an expression of concern.
Niki looked up, panting heavily as she leaned against the closed castle doors. âEret, I-â She took a deep breath. âI need to hide here. N-Not for long, just for a little bit. How long until he stops looking for me? An hour, maybe?â
âWoah, wait. Whoâs he? And why do you need to hide? Is something wrong?â
Niki looked as if she was searching her mind for the correct words to say. âWe⌠Tubbo and I- we⌠we got into a⌠a fight.â
âA fight?!â
âNonono, no! Itâs not what youâre thinking. So, we got into a fight, and I⌠did something. And now he wants to get back at me. So, Iâm running. And I need to hide.â She spoke quickly and fast paced.
Eret was very confused, and a little bit concerned. For her friend to just barge in and say she needed to hide⌠it seemed very serious. And her face seemed a little red, too⌠and her hair was a mess and⌠wait. Wait. Oh my goodness, wait.
âUm, NikiâŚâ Eret started, raising an eyebrow. âThis might be a stupid question to ask, but⌠by âa fight,â are you saying that you and Tubbo got into a tickle fight?â
Nikiâs eyes widened, and her face turned more red. She put her hands over her face, clearly embarrassed. It was honestly adorable, and Eret couldnât help but crack a smile.
âDid I guess right?â She asked. Niki shook her head up and down, and Eret busted out laughing.
âDonât laugh, Eret! Itâs not funny!â She whined, pouting.
âIt kind of is, though.â The queen chuckled, an entertained smile upon her face. âOf course you can stay here and hide, Niki. In factâŚâ She held Nikiâs hand gently, her expression showing that there was no mischievous intent within.
âI think I know just the spot.â
It was now Nikiâs turn to get whisked away, as Eret led her up flights of stairs. They ended up inside of a small room somewhere on the third floor, where some weapons and armor were held. It was in a deeper part of the castle, so not many people came there, she had told Niki.
âSo⌠what exactly made things escalate to the point where you have to hide from Tubbo?â Eret asked as she closed the door behind her.
âWell⌠we were baking together, and while the sweets were in the oven, he got bored. We started messing around with each other, and, itâŚâ She paused, blushing again. âIt led toâŚâ
âThe tickle fight.â Eret chuckled as Niki nodded.
âIt was a pretty fair fight, but I managed to get him bad near the end. And heâs very insistent on getting revenge, so he started to chase me, and I-â
Buzz Buzz!
Niki paused, feeling the vibration of her communicator in her pocket. Eret walked over as she took it out, and her eyes widened as she read the messages awaiting her.
Tubbo_: Nikiiiiii
Tubbo_: where are youuuuuuuu
Tubbo_: Iâm coming for yaaaaaa
Tubbo_: :)
Eret took the device from Nikiâs hands, reading the messages, when a small idea came to mind. She smirked to herself, typing at the keys.
ââŚWhat are you typing?â Niki asked curiously. When Eret didnât respond, she repeated herself. âWhat are you typing, Eret?â
Eret finished, chuckling softly as she showed Niki the message that was typed out, but not yet sent.
Nihachu: Third floor of Eretâs castle lol
âEret!â She yelled out, trying to grab the communicator from her as she laughed.
âIâm not actually going to send it!â Eret laughed, holding it out of reach.
âGive it back!â Niki couldnât help but smile a little as well at Eretâs playfulness. She chuckled, bringing her arm down as the baker snatched the device from her. The two of them grinned at each other, but Nikiâs smile faltered when she looked down.
In the struggle of attempting to grab the communicator from Eret, she had grabbed it at an angle where her thumb had pressed right onto the send button.
Their hiding spot was revealed.
âOh no.â
âWhat?â
âEret, I-â
Buzz Buzz!
Tubbo_: Oh? OHHHH
Tubbo_: So you WANT to get wrecked so badly that you tell me where youâre hiding out?
Tubbo_: and how convenient, Iâm in front of the castle right now!
Tubbo_: Iâll find you quickly, Iâm sure it wonât take long by how much you giggle when youâre nervous
Tubbo_: PAYBACKS A BITCH >:)
âEret, I accidentally clicked the send button.â
âOh no.â
âYeah.â
ââŚOh nooooo.â Niki slid down the wall, covering her face. âHeâs going to get me so bad!â
âHeâs that hellbent on revenge, huh?â Eret chuckled, then the realization hit her. She did type out the message that was sent, so she was partially to blame. She would be lying if she said that she didnât feel at least a little bit guilty.
âYou know what? You stay here.â She decided. âIâm going to go outside and keep watching for Tubbo. If he comes, Iâll distract him somehow, and then you can make a run for it.â
âYouâd really do that for me?â Niki asked. Eret nodded, and she smiled. âAwww, thank you, Eret.â
âItâs no problem. You stay right here, okay?â She instructed, opening the door and closing it behind her without another word. Tubbo was going to be here any moment now, so she had to think of a quick plan on how to distract him.
âHey Eret!â
Scratch that, he was right there.
Eret jumped in place, pressing her back up to the door she had just walked out of, attempting to look calm. âUm, hey Tubbo! What brings you here?â
âHi Eret!â Tubbo bounced forward, crossing his arms. âI donât know if youâve been checking your communicator today, but Iâm actually looking for Niki. Have you seen her at all today?â
âMmm⌠nope.â Eret leaned closer to the handle of the door, in case Tubbo tried something. âHavenât seen her today.â
âReally? She said she would be here.â
âWell, Iâve heard nothing from her, so youâre free to go-â
âNot so fast, Eret. Donât kick me out so soon.â Tubbo stopped her, taking a few steps forward. âShe messaged me, saying she would be here, and Iâd assume you saw her walk right through the front gates. After all, I saw you left your coat outside, right near the garden, so surely, you know that sheâs been here.â
Eretâs heart stopped for a quick moment. Her coat. She had left it outside when chasing after that cat, and with Niki rushing her inside, had forgotten to pick it up. Tubbo kept going on, but she had other things on her mind. She did technically help Niki get in this situation⌠so the best thing to do right now would be to also help her get out of it.
ââŚAnd with those pieces of evidence, if Iâm guessing correctly, Niki should be right behind that door youâre leaning against.â Tubbo finished. âSo, am I right?â
Eret smirked softly, crossing her arms. âAlright, you caught me. I let Niki hide here. Sheâs not in this room, but sheâs on this floor. I know what happened between you guys earlier today.â
âOh, do you now?â Tubbo asked, raising an eyebrow.
âI do. Thereâs one small issue in your search for Niki, though.â She chuckled, stepping away from the door. âIf you want to get to Niki, youâll have to get through me, first.â
âAre you implying what I think youâre implying?â He asked curiously, and grinned as she nodded. âOhoho, you have no idea what you just walked into.â
And so, Tubboâs second âfightâ of the day began. He raced towards Eret, ready to attack. Eret made no moves of her own, standing still. When Tubbo was about to tackle her to the floor, she moved out of the way and behind him, wrapping her arms around him and lifting him up like he weighed nothing.
âWhat the hell?! Eret, put me doHOWN-!â Tubbo kicked his legs, squeaking when he felt a squeeze on both sides, right underneath his ribs.
âHmm, let me think! No.â She grinned, squeezing once more and hearing Tubbo start to laugh softly. âI donât think you have any idea what you just ran into, Tubbo.â
âDohonât underehestihimahate mehe!â He giggled, flailing his arms around. He tried to find somewhere to attack that would make Eret drop him, but with him being held where he was facing away, it was impossible to see where his hands were.
Tubbo felt himself grab onto her left side and grinned evilly, squeezing up and down as much as he could. Eret giggled, attempting to dodge Tubboâs squeezes, but it eventually became enough for her to drop him.
âYou just made a huge mistake, Eret!â Tubbo smiled, immediately turning around and continuing his plan from earlier. He ran towards Eret and tackled her to the ground, laying on top of her and rapidly squeezing her sides.
âWahAHAit!â Eret laughed softly, doing what she could to shove Tubboâs hands off.
âWhy should I wait? Youâre the one who challenged me!â He smirked, moving his hands up and down. âLook, Eret. If you just tell me where Niki is now, Iâll be nice. But if you donât, Iâll just have to be a little bit mean to get what I want.â
âDohonât eheven try ihit!â
âOh, but I wiHIHILL- Hehehey!â
Eret managed to get a hold onto Tubboâs own sides, squeezing along and smirking when Tubbo stopped his own attack. She flipped the tables, lightly pushing him to the ground and vibrating into his ribs.
âShiHIHIT! Fuhuhuck ohohoff!â He giggled, squirming around and attempting to get away from Eretâs hands.
Eret faked a gasp. âTubbo! Itâs not nice to tell your queen to fuck off! Looks like you have a bit of a lesson to learn!â She sped up the movements of her fingers, making Tubbo squeal.
âIhiâm nohot tahaking shihit frohom yohou, quehEHEEn!â He giggled, kicking his legs. This wasnât good. He needed to get the upper hand, and he needed to get it fast. Tubbo dug his hands underneath Eretâs arms, and just as he wanted, she slammed her arms down to her sides. He took the opportunity to get the upper hand again, getting her to the ground and scribbling at her stomach.
âWhoâs laughing now? Let me think! Starts with an E, ends with a Ret!â He teased.
âYohouâre an ahasshohole!â Eret fought to get a grip on his friend's hands, and when she couldnât, she resorted to squeezing at his side again. But this time, Tubbo wouldnât give up so easily. The two of them giggled, and Tubbo kept one hand on Eretâs stomach as he tried grabbing at her attacking hand with his own. The only problem was that the more Tubbo would focus on preventing Eretâs attack, the more heâd slow down his own. Heâd still be scribbling and clawing, but the movements of his hand were slower and softer than before.
And Eret really hoped that he wouldnât notice that slowing down was actually making it even worse.
Tubbo suddenly stopped, holding both of Eretâs hands with a smirk.
âYou know, Eret. I think I just realized something.â
Oh no.
âMost people would be taken down by bigger, rougher attacks in a fight like this, but⌠I think in certain areasâŚâ Before continuing, he let go of one of Eretâs hands and placed his own on her stomach.
âSofter movements might make you weaker.â
Shit.
He started to scratch ever so slowly and lightly, and Eretâs whole body tensed up. He added in his second hand, and once she started to giggle, Tubbo knew his suspicions were correct.
âTuhuhubbo! Noooohoho!â The queen giggled hysterically.
âAww, look at you! Iâm barely doing anything, and youâre not even fighting back!â Tubbo cooed. âWho knew the queen of the Dream SMP could be taken down like this?â
Eret didnât even say anything, and only giggled like mad. It was a price to pay, but hey. As long as Tubbo didnât know where Niki was, everything would be fine. Tubbo started to trace around her stomach now, and his hands slowed to a stop, resting on her sides. The two looked at each other, Tubbo smirking as Eret had a silly smile on her face. He said nothing, taking a deep breath and quickly leaning down. Eret felt a raspberry ripple through her stomach, and the ripple of her shirt seemed to amplify the feeling, the fabric working against her.
âSHIHIT! TuhuHUBBoho!â She laughed, kicking her legs. Tubbo smiled at her, standing up and lending a hand, and pulling his friend off of the ground.
âWho knew I only had to use super soft tickling to take you down?â Tubbo chuckled.
âShut upppp.â Eret whined, turning away to hide her red face.
âWell, Iâll be looking for Niki now. I canât wait to tell her about this, but Iâll have to take my revenge on her for earlier first.â He crossed his arms.
âOk, thatâs fair. I said you had to get through me, and you did just that.â Eret shrugged with a smile. âI admit defeat.â
Tubbo gasped excitedly. âDoes this mean I get to wear the crown now?â
âWh- no!â Eret laughed.
Câmonnn!â
âNo.â
âPlease?â
âThe crown is mine, Tubbo.â
âIf you donât give me the crown, Iâll just tickle you until you give it to me.â He smirked, half-joking.
âNot if I do it first.â Eret smirked as well, quickly grabbing Tubbo and wrapping her arms around him.
âHey! Let me go!â Tubbo commanded, kicking his legs.
Eret only chuckled at him, holding him firm and not doing anything else. âNiki! You can come out now!â
At her command, the door nearby clicked open, and Niki stepped out. She paused, trying to interpret the scene in front of her.
ââŚAre you kidding me?â Tubbo asked. âShe was right there?! The whole time?!â
âYep!â Eret beamed, looking up to Niki. âIâd use this as your opportunity to escape, if I were you.â
âOh, donât even think about it! I am so getting you baHAHACK-! AHAHAHAHA! WAHAIT! WAITWAITWAIT!â
âWhatâs that? Did you say something?â Eret asked, scribbling at Tubboâs stomach.
âYOHOHOUâRE AHAHAN AHAHASSHOHOLE!!â
Eret laughed softly, and Niki did as well. Tubbo kicked and squirmed in place, laughing his head off as his worst spot was targeted. Tubbo frantically searched for the same spot he squeezed at the first time Eret held him captive, but it was a lot more difficult. He could only grab the air as he reached behind him, until he felt himself grab onto a random spot on Eretâs body. Feeling that it was her ribcage, he started to squeeze at it and hoped it would be enough. Eret let out a surprised yell, instantly letting go of Tubbo.
Tubbo scrambled away, standing right in the middle of Eret and Niki. Eret crossed her arms in a protective manner, while Niki was turned and ready to run. He realized that he had control of all power in this situation and he smirked.
âNiki, I want you to answer a question for me.â Tubbo turned to her. âIf you sent me that message, why were you hiding? I expected you to be right here, out in the open.â He pondered. He asked just so that he could be able to fluster Niki a little, but he was genuinely curious.
There was a silence in the air, until Eret stepped forward. âIt⌠that was partially my fault.â She confessed. âI stole her communicator and typed out the message, but I wasnât actually going to send it! Niki grabbed it from me, but she accidentally pressed the send button herself.â
Tubboâs eyes widened curiously. Now this added a whole new element. He took a few steps towards Niki, but didnât make any moves. âSo, it was you who sent the message?â He asked Eret. She nodded, and he sighed, looking between the two of them once more.
âSo, you ratted her out and said where she was hiding. Thatâs not very nice of you, Eret. I think you should be taught a lesson about that.â Tubbo said, smirking as he turned back to Niki. âAnd Iâm sure youâd love to help me.â
âWhat?â Eret and Niki asked at the same time.
âOf course! Iâd love to explore your reactions more, that yell from you when I squeezed your ribs piqued my interest.â
He looked at Niki, saying a simple sentence. âLook, I wonât wreck you if you help me wreck her. Deal?â
âWhat?!â Eret repeated. âWait, this isnât fair!â
âWhat? Seems pretty fair to me!â Tubbo shrugged.
Niki thought about the choice in her head, then looked at Eret, smiling sweetly, and a bit evilly too. âSorry Eret, itâs a deal I canât pass up.â
âNiki! I protected you, and this is how you repay me? Wow.â She said jokingly, but could feel the butterflies flying around in her stomach already.
âAlright, then itâs settled!â Tubbo clapped his hands together. âCome on, Eret. I know you were having fun just a bit ago.â
âT-Thatâs nonsense.â
âAlready getting flustered?â
âNo, Iâm noHOT-! Get off of me!â
âNiki! Mind lending me a hand?â
âSorry, Eret!â
âDonât come any clohoser!â
âSheâs coming closer, Eret! Donât even try and fight it!â
And so, the queenâs punishment began. Well, it wasnât actually a punishment. It was just her two close friends being playful with her. And while she wouldnât admit it right away, she honestly enjoyed it. Laughter echoed off of the castle walls as she squirmed on the floor, and Tubbo filled her ears with playful teases, and Niki chimed in every once in a while.
Eret couldnât remember the last time she had laughed so much with friends. However, this would be remembered as a fond memory. The day she (accidentally) betrayed Niki, and attempted to help her out, only to end up paying the price. The three of them laughed together, their happiness spreading through the old stone castle.
âWhat are you reading?â Tommy leaned over the kingâs shoulder.
âWell, itâs an ancient legend about a man who-â
âSounds boring.â
Eret sighed with a chuckle. They probably should have expected that kind of answer from Tommy. They had let the teen into the castle to rest after seeing him outrun a mob of angry endermen, and their conversations throughout the night had been filled with playful banter.
âIt actually is fascinating, really. He went into the nether and found an-â
âBlah, blah, blah. Why would you read about some ancient guy when you can read about how to impress women?â Tommy joked. Eret laughed softly, shaking their head and flipping to the next page.
âOh, come on now Eret, donât ignore me.â He whined, using his finger to lightly trace small shapes into Eretâs back. Tommy grinned as he noticed their body start to twitch ever so slightly, continuing to trace random patterns.
âSomething up, Eret?â He asked mischievously. Eret didnât respond, only shaking their head side to side with a small grin. Tommy huffed, removing his hand momentarily, before suddenly digging in and scribbling at the top of their back with all five fingers.
âAH! Tohohommy!â Eret giggled, attempting to reach behind themselves and swat his hand away.
âWhat? Whatâs so funny?â Tommy kept up the innocent act as the king laughed and buried their face into their book. âYou know, everyone calls you the monarch of the SMP, but I think they should be calling you the monarch of giggles, if anything!â
Flustered by the remark, Eret turned around and lightly whacked Tommy with the book, eliciting a surprised yell from the teenager and causing him to step away. They stood up from their seat, turning to Tommy and tossing their book to the side.
âWahait- Eret! Letâs talk about this!â Tommy tried to negotiate, knowing what was coming for him.
âTalk? Oh, I donât think so.â Eret crossed their arms with an evil grin, walking closer. âI want you to laugh.â
send a character to be the lee, a character to be the ler, and a tickle spot, and iâll write a short fic! :}
i forgot to post this last night because i was tired but i want everyone to know that this clip of eret scaring elaina with an airhorn is my new favorite video
Wilburâs laugh was high-pitched and wild. It was filled with gasps of air and small, squeaking hiccups. He hugged himself across his chest, a few snorts escaping him as he laughed wildly. Eret, on the other hand, usually had a lower-pitched laugh, but right now, it was quite higher than normal. Their giggles would stop and then return after a few seconds, repeating like a ripple effect. The two of them were sprawled out on the floor, laughing their heads off. Tommy was unsure if he had heard either of them laugh so hard before.
âWell, thereâs only one way to find out, right? Look, thereâs an enderman over there.â They pointed in the distance, noticing a lonely enderman holding a block of grass. âIt doesnât seem to be aggravated at allâŚâ
All they could feel was the handle of their sword.
The sword they were about to use to slay as many men as they needed to.
They had been preparing for this moment their whole life. They were a warrior. Born to swing a sword and cause bloodbaths. The son of Herobrine. The son of an eyeless god. They were the son of a monster, some would say.
