i’ll be your (not so) temporary fix ; 이제노

pairing fwb!jeno x female!reader

synopsis you and jeno had agreed for this to be temporary, with no strings attached. as your heart began to grow addicted to him, you knew you had to call it quits but he finds a way to make you stay.

genre fwb to lovers, angst, mutual pining, slightly suggestive, jeno is kind of a douche bag at the beginning, very fluffy at the end.

last night:

"god jen! it’s fucking crazy in here." you strained your voice towards the blonde giant next to you, but the words only sounded like a whisper to him over the blaring music. even with the noise and bumping bodies, his attention averted itself to you, as it always did.

without a word, he wrapped one hand around your wrist and the other around your waist before pulling you out of the dance floor and to an empty corner of the club.

the friends you had previously been with were now all scattered around the massive room doing god knows what, but jeno never left your side, not even for a second.

now there you stood, pressed against one another, and suddenly it felt as if you two were the only ones there. jeno smiled at you before leaning down, making his mouth level with your ear and his warm cheek press against yours.

"let’s get out of here, yeah?" his voice was hoarse from all his yelling, and his words were a bit slurred due to the many shots he took earlier that night. he pulled back to look at you for an answer, and with a small nod, he kissed you swiftly as you both stumbled out of the back of the club.

he quickly whipped out his phone to call a taxi since neither of you were in the right space to walk back to his place or get a ride from your, also drunk, friends.

the two of you stood in front of a vacant convenience store that was only a couple minutes from the club you were previously at, hands all over each other.

typically, you two were like teenagers, frantically trying to jump each other and feel everything swiftly. maybe it was the alcohol in both of your systems, but your movements were slow-paced and sensual.

to strangers, they might have thought you two were a couple. but that’s not what you two were at all.

no matter how much you loved him.

no matter how much you loved when he would call you "pretty baby."

no matter how many times people called you "his girl."

you and jeno were purely temporary, and that’s how he wanted it to be.

present morning:

you rolled over on the familiar sheets of jeno’s bed, groaning into the pillows that reeked of his musky cologne and your sweet perfume.

these were how mornings typically went when you stayed the night with jeno, which was more than you wished at this point.

he would be gone before the sun rose to go to the gym and would head straight to work after that, leaving you alone in his bed with nothing but your clothes crinkled on the floor and nasty protein bars in his cabinets for breakfast. it was almost second nature for you to navigate his place as if it were your own.

sliding out from the covers, you reached for a pair of his athletic shorts that were folded on the ground and picked up a stranded t-shirt that would suffice since you didn’t have work today.

you checked yourself out in his mirror to be greeted by a familiar sight of the aftermath of lee jeno. small marks littered your neck, and you stretched the shirt downward to see that they trailed down your chest as well.

you knew there were more elsewhere, but knowing that they were there hurt more than you wanted him to know, so you pushed back the tears and collected your things as best you could into your small purse.

you opened his bedroom door only to be greeted by a shirtless, freshly showered jeno sitting at his kitchen island.

"oh… sorry i was just going." your face flushed as if it were your first time seeing him without his shirt on, and your legs scattered towards the door.

he laughed lightly at your state, your hair disheveled and body swallowed by his clothes. he wishes his heart hadn’t begun racing at your cute antics.

"no you’re fine. it’s no rush. i don’t have work today anyway, so you can eat if you want. i made extra for you anyway, so…" his fork played with the contents of his plate sheepishly.

it’s odd how you both have seen each other in such venerable situations. he’s held your hair while you puked your guts out, held your body flush against his for hours, and done other things that never come up in conversation. but somehow, simple everyday conversations with him made it feel like he was a stranger.

at late hours of the night and early hours of the morning, jeno was the most loving human you could ever ask for. he made you feel beautiful and wanted, aside from the fact that you knew he didn’t want you.

for sex? sure, but actually have? not as much.

sometimes your brain tells your heart otherwise. like when he would play with your hair after sex and talk to you about anything and everything. or when you would lay with him between your legs and watch stupid disney movies, just to end up just lazily making out and falling asleep together.

everyone saw the both of you as one, no matter how many times you told them "it wasn’t like that".

this was the first time he stayed the morning after, and you didn’t think this was a new addition to your "relationship" you could handle. hell, you couldn’t handle it at all anymore.

your eyes began to sting with the knowledge of what you were about to do. you had avoided it for so long; there was no going back now.

"jeno…" you began, trying to keep your voice as level as possible. his head shot towards yours, and his brows instantly furrowed at the tears that started streaming down your face. "i can’t do whatever this is with you anymore. it’s too much for me to be with you but not with you." you instantly turned away and rushed for the door, only to be stopped by a hand on your wrist.

"what- what are you doing?" he tried to look into your eyes, but you refused, thrashing around in his hold. "let me go, jeno! i’m done with this shit!" he had never heard you yell like this before, which left him utterly confused. you two had done this so much; what was now suddenly changing your mind?

he couldn’t let you go. not without a reason.

you ripped your hand from his grip and pushed your palm against his chest, causing him to stumble back slightly.

"don’t you get it? you call me all these sweet things, hold me all night, and expect me to not catch feelings for you? i have been hopelessly and endlessly in love with you for months, and just when i think you might even like me, you shut me out until you need me or want me. but you don’t want me at all. i’m so sick and tired of not being able to have you the way i need to. whatever this was is over." you leaned your head against the door, catching your breath from the outburst you caused.

"baby…" he didn’t touch you; he just leaned against the wall to be level with you. "don’t call me that." you hissed, reaching for the door knob.

"(y/n) listen to me, please." his voice caused you to stop and turn back around. as much as you hated to admit it, he was your biggest weakness, like it or not.

you sighed, finally looking up into his eyes, which, to your surprise, were glossed over.

"i’m sorry. i’m so fucking sorry for making you feel like i didn’t want you. it's just- i was so scared that you didn’t want me like i want you, and i tried not to get too caught up in you, which is very hard. all i think about is you, and i’m sorry if i made it seem that i was just using you for sex, but i want so much more than that, you have no idea. i want you to be more to me than a temporary fix in my life." there were now tears rushing down both of your cheeks. the only sound was the tv playing faintly in the living room.

you didn’t know what to do, overcome with so much love and anger for this man standing right in front of you. you dropped your belongings to the floor to quickly wrap your arms around his neck and pull him flush against you. his hands winding around your waist and bunching your (his) shirt between his fingers.

"i’m so sorry (y/n)." he sobbed into your neck. you shushed him before he began swaying your bodies from side to side. you two stayed like that for a few more minutes, completely absorbing each other.

"god…" you laughed and sniffled as you pulled back slightly so you could look at jeno’s face. he giggled slightly, his face pulling into your favorite sight. your fingers ran through his soft blond locks as his hands ran over your back.

you both looked into each other's eyes with so much desire and need but refused to move, too scared to make a mess of what was now just beginning to become clean.

"i meant everything i said. i would have talked for hours if you had let me." his voice came out scratchy from crying but somehow lifted the last bit of regret from your shoulders.

without another word, you moved one of your hands to his neck and smashed his lips against yours. it was intense but slow, and both of you were relieved with the knowledge of wanting one another.

his hands combed through your hair before he pulled away and rested his head against yours. "i want to have you as much as you’ll let me. i don’t care if it’s now or if you need time, but i’ll wait for you." his eyes were closed as he spoke to you, hoping you would believe him.

"even if i needed time, i don’t think that’s possible when it comes to you." you laughed, kissing him one last time before pulling away entirely to lean against the door once more.

this time, he followed you and placed his hands on your waist, making no move to take things further. "just…" he began, leaning his head on the wall as close to yours as possible while your hands came to stroke his forearms.

"let me be your goodnight."

notes | temporary fix is one of my all time fav one direction songs so i just had to write a fic on it. also i’ve been in such a jeno brain rot recently UGHHHHH HE IS SOOOOOOO!!! also i’ve has a bit more time to write so hopefully i can be more consistent. lots of love to you and i hope you enjoyed this!

MARK ( 이마크. ) forehead

mark is someone who gets easily embarrassed when showing affection to his significant other, even something as small as holding hands might drive him crazy. however, he came to find out he loves walking up to you and reaching for both sides of your face, giving it a slight squeeze while he internally coos at your cuteness. slight squeezes turned into cheek squashes and those turned more intimate as he’d attach his forehead against yours. it didn’t take long for him to secretly plant his lips on top of your head, praying you wouldn’t notice, or at least be uncomfortable by it. “you know you can just give me a forehead kiss without hiding it?” you’d call him out with a slight chuckle. ever since that day he wouldn’t go one day without giving you one.

RENJUN ( 황런쥔. ) hands

renjun would do it any opportunity he had. may it be when the two of you are walking besides each other and your hands graze past each other, he would swiftly lift it up to his face to place a soft quick peck on it, leaving you speechless. it could be when the two of you are sitting together, hands clasped into each other, that he’d intertwine them tightly and give it a long loving kiss that would leave you blushing, hiding in the crook of his neck as he’d laugh at your flustered state. or it could be when the two of you are just together and you’d tell him how cold it is. without a second thought he’d unconsciously grab ahold of your hand before blowing his hot breath on it and planting a few pecks. it was second nature for him. if only renjun knew the affect this had on you.

JENO ( 이제노. ) collarbones

it started off with just a silly impulsive thought. the two of you were hugging when his lips somehow founds it’s way to your shoulder, softly placing them against your collarbone. jeno never intended on if becoming a habit, but the moment he saw the way you shuddered at the sudden contact, he couldn’t contain his smile before he attacked your collarbone with kiss marks (some becoming actual marks). some would say it was a bit sexual but for jeno there truly was no sexual intent behind those kisses. he’d do it with no reason behind it other than the fact you were close enough for him to kiss your collarbones. it wasn’t like you minded it, you could feel his smile every time he did, and that alone warmed your heart for you to not even care about the mark that could potentially be left if jeno didn’t stop on time.

HAECHAN ( 이해찬. ) cheeks

i seriously believe haechan would be the type to give more cheek kisses than lip to lip kisses. he just loves how he can surprise you with it everywhere and whenever and how accessible it is. he enjoys the fact that it can be considered both an intimate gesture or a platonic one, giving him plenty of reasons as to why he would do it. those could be because “he just thought you deserved one” or “because i missed you.” haechan isn’t against lip kisses, but with cheek kisses he’s able to do it as many times as he can without it having to be romantic or intimate. he also loves the reaction he gets whenever you’re in the middle of a sentence and get cut of by the sudden movement of his before his lips quickly peck your cheek, giving you a small grin before telling you to continue your sentence.

JAEMIN ( 나재민. ) lips

it’s very simple, but jaemin likes it that way. he enjoys having your lips on his more than any other place. he loves the way he can gaze into your eyes as he closes the gap between you two. he likes the way he can pull you closer just to bring both your lips together. he enjoys the way you’ll get you on your tippy toes just to give him a quick peck on the lips that leaves him with wanting more. unlike jeno, jaemin only does it when he has a motive behind it. 9/10 those motives are because he wants to show how he truly loves you and how much you mean to him, resulting in long deep kisses that could last for minutes. he treats lip kisses as a special treat that he only can do if he thinks he hasn’t shown you how much he truly appreciates you. to keep it short, jaemin really really really loves you and shows that through his kisses.

CHENLE ( 종천러. ) neck

chenle rarely kisses you but when he does it must mean something very good has happened to him. and if that’s the case he’ll aim for your neck the moment he sees it. it could be that he won a match in his favorite video game, or maybe he got a day off. in any of those situations chenle will first greet you with the good news before he pulls you in a hug as the two of you celebrate whatever the good news is. next thing you know you can feel his lips trail over your neck as he plants multiple small kisses leading to your lips. if you’re ticklish, chenle loves to do it on purpose. solely because of the way your head cringes to the side to block him from any access. it leaves him laughing himself to death while you send him a small glare, hiding the small laugh that’s in the back of your throat.

JISUNG ( 박지성. ) nose

jisung is the last person to give you a kiss. he’s usually shy about those type of affectionate gestures and keeps it low to small gestures such as holding hands. so lip kisses are a no, or at least something you’d have to initiate. however you were totally caught of guard one day when the two of you said your goodbyes and before you could walk off, he pulled you back and placed his hands on both sides of your head. obviously you’d expect him to kiss your lips but instead he raised his lips higher and placed a soft kiss on the bridge of your nose, biding a small goodbye. ever since that day the two of you would do it at least once a week, jisung starting to get more used to the whole kissing concept.

listens intently to the explanation of your shows, the names of your plushies, and the storylines currently on going as you play pretend

loves playing pretend. at first, he was a bit shy, breaking character and laughing into his hands when embarrassment got the best of him, but now bro is confident! u could place him in a broadway show and no one would think he's out of place

could be said he was actually the one who made the first move to play pretend.

"...whatcha doing?" "playing" "...what are you playing?" after being burned under your x-ray vision gaze for no less than 5 seconds, you hand him a plushie and 'insist' on him playing with you

not one for titles or nicknames. mark is mark, you are you!

punishments are the last of his worries. hopefully, you don't make it rise the ranks

manners freak

"ah!" he always has to hold whatever you asked for out of your reach. "what do we say? it starts with a t and ends with a 'you'."

does all sorts of crafts with you

one time, he drew your favorite character and you loved it so much you made him put it on your wall then and there. he was undermining it and complaining that he didn't want to get up and do all the work that involves framing it but the smile and blush on his face told a different story

lets you put stickers on him! only the pretty ones that he's approved beforehand. and NOT on his hair. he's chinese, not korean. he doesn't need the military service buzzcut

like mark, not big on titles. they make him uncomfortable tbh. nicknames for you, however, he does quite like (tiny, munchkin, etc.).

happy to let you be independent while regressed under STRICT supervision

goes so far as to make little songs and jingles to you can sing along to as you perform certain tasks so you both know you're doing things safely and correctly even when out of his eyesight

ur complete coloring pages go right next to his pieces of art on the fridge. u are both artists !

lullabies are a must. the man is a singer for a living ! good night! z Z z ....

punishments usually consist of renjun nagging on for over an hour. you don't really tend to listen. it's mostly for him to let out his frustration before the big stepper comes for you.

first one to actually not mind titles ! he can live without them but they scratch an itch in his brain like nothing else can

two words: cute aggression. leans in to kiss your cheek only to bite it. he bites your nose. he bites your EARS ?! someone lock this man up !

hugs you in a way that presses the cheeks of the two of you until you look like twins conjoined at the head

the cuddliest man ever like i've never seen a more teddy bear-coded individual?!?!?!

"gotta pee." "hold it." "i can't!" grumbling jeno noises

started going back to the gym after seeing how much he you like being carried

he doesn't really talk a lot when in cg mode, but you've known him long enough that you can read his body language just fine

might actually be in cg space more than you are regressed !

just anything that you do, big or little. it's so precious to him. he feels the urge to just protect you from everything!!!

poor boy is used to being the youngest and acting cute, what is he supposed to do now that the tables are turned?

at the beginning, it's lots of awkward head pats and hugs of comfort.

sits you on his lap while he's gaming, playing with you and your toys in between matches

kind of insecure to be ur cg :( give the boy praise and appreciation!

punishments don't exist actually! he's right there next to you. silly string all over the room? it was his idea to play spiders. veggies thrown away? impossible. he never bought them to begin with. didn't do your assignment? was it that important to begin with? hyuck doesn't think so

might be a regressor too ! on the older side, perhaps (pre-teen - teenage)

terrible for big space. just the absolute worst

baby talk and aegyo is not an action for him, it's a lifestyle. makes you do one or the other (or both if he's feeling particularly sadistic i mean playful) if you want something or as a punishment on the lighter side

probably made you slip multiple times before you even told him you regress

all the cheesy, cringy, cliche stuff? he does that. shamelessly too

loves titles and uses them on himself even if you don't. doesn't make you call him anything, but he loves how it 'rolls off the tongue so well!'

he's an addict to nicknames for you. finds them randomly

"oh man, look at that rabbit! it's so cute!" "just like y/n" "what" just randomly takes out his phone in the middle of walking to text you nana: hi bunny you: ? you: hi?

acts of service are his natural calling. you might as well be quadriplegic.

makes your favorite drink for you! ur too little to do it urself !!! let him do it for u (pls pls pls pls pls he's on his knees)

also makes lunches for you that are all pretty and shaped like some sort of animal when ur feeling small ! he stopped doing cats though since one time you felt like you were eating luna and cried.

you two literally fight to death about who loves who the most. jaemin has to be tied to a chair in the basement of an abandoned building to let you do literally anything for him

punishments are extremely rare. virtually non-existent. he prefers to talk things through and give rewards rather than take away

health is important! it's so so important to him he set up a meal plan where you eat the rainbow three times a day.

makes you exercise with him.........

"i'll be home in about half an hour, jellybean. do you think you could finish a bottle of water by then? i know you can. i'll see you soon, okay?"

종천러 | zhong chenle

you know those people that talk to babies like they're grown people that pay taxes and drink alcohol? that's chenle

he knows you've regressed and you're not in the mindset of an adult anymore, but he isn't a big baby talk person like jaemin is

the nicknames he uses for you are very classic so he can use them both in public and in private (doll, dollface, princess, etc.)

surprisingly into his role as cg? like, he has a chart set up for you and everything. if he's abroad/not around, he'll call you so you can place the gold stars yourself in his behalf

another manners enthusiast

uses titles for himself and expects you to use them too

"'can i have dessert please, what?', princess? what word is missing from that sentence?"

doesn't say much but always keeps an eye or hand on you in public.

bro is nonchalant (for the most part. just don't read his locked notes)

"a gift? i didn't buy you anything" LIAR. "what pink box? have you opened it? bring it over here. let me see"

he's very patient, just stern since he has strict boundaries and rules. constantly encouraging you to have firm boundaries as well.

"is this ok?" "do you not like this?" "how do you feel about that?"

go-to punishment is writing lines. always gives you a yogurt or some other snack when you finish. mostly does it for himself, he doesn't like staying on the subject of punishment/bad behavior. there's better things to do in his opinion

his favorite activity to do with you when small is your text message conversations. no words, no talking, just a photo message from you (!!!! look what i'm doing !!!!) and a photo from him in response (!!!! good job i'm so proud of you !!!! here's what i'm doing !!!!)

박지성 | park jisung

a lot like mark, not a fans of titles or nicknames

more of a listener. has lots of questions but doesn't want to interrupt the groove with which you're explaining the lore of equestria so he just nods his head in hopes that he'll understand with time and context

the one who would adjust the fastest to learning about your age regression out of all the dreamies. give him five minutes and he'll be like "...ok. wanna watch tv now?"

jisung is so !!! silly !!!

a goofy boy. he loves making exaggerated reactions and expressions to make you laugh

"gah-!" you've hit him with an invisible arrow! jisung holds his chest, stumbling back to slowly fall down onto the floor. very very slowly. "you've shot me... i can feel my life force leaving me... why... would you do this...? bleh."

kind of has a sixth sense for you. if something triggers you and makes you slip in public, he's like a cat that heard something no one else can.

pulsing your hand in his to get your attention only for you to avoid eye contact is a dead giveaway. he might not always be able to leave the event, but he makes sure to give you a break of just you two. breathing exercises, grounding techniques, he also lets you play with the plush toy keychain he bought for occasions just like these.

the first time you shutdown verbally when small, jisung panics! he's running around looking up on the internet how to 'talk without talking'. now he's a baby sign language expert. good job, you! /gen

him purposely buying oversized hoodies so you can share. writing songs with you and for you. you hanging out with his members in the dorm if the two of you are too lazy or too busy to go out. being his inspiration, and him being your motivation. cracking jokes and laughing out loud despite the looks others give you. you listening and responding to his rants even if his words don’t make any sense. he believes you’re the only person he can trust, and you swear to never break that said trust. wears your initials around his neck to keep you close to him, especially during tours & schedules when he’s away.

huang renjun . . 황런쥔

drawing portraits of each other, and him hanging your artwork on the fridge even if you think it looks bad. the two of you taking pottery classes for fun. watching romantic comedies during late nights, and end up sleeping on the couch with your bodies pressed together. good morning texts whenever he leaves for work earlier than you. sharing annotated books with each other (bonus: he writes little love notes for you on the front page of the novel he just bought). you being the only person he can never get angry at. heart to heart talks over warm cups of tea during the afternoon.

lee jeno . . 이제노

forcing you to workout with him – but you end up watching him instead. plants cheek kisses on you everytime he gets the chance. video calls during his free time at work. hands on you at all times. you giving him back hugs whenever he does the dishes. sticking beside each other during events such as birthday parties. you being his favorite video game playmate even if you’re bad at gaming. introducing each other as ‘my husband’ & ‘my wife’ to grocery store cashiers. him riding his bike near han river with you sitting behind him. dates in amusement parks & sharing snacks as you walk around. napping together with your arms wrapped around his body.

lee haechan . . 이해찬

spontaneous duets as the two of you do chores around the apartment. wearing his shirts and him constantly gushing over you for it. him singing to you before you sleep. pecking his lips to shut him up whenever he talks too much. you being the only person he can never tease a lot because he loves you too much. going on fancy dates with mark tagging along (“he’s like our pet”, he once said). hanging out with his mom & siblings and them calling you as their future in-law. visiting him at work and giving him homecooked box lunches. kissing your knuckles to calm him down whenever he’s nervous.

With such a busy schedule, Mark loves spending time with his significant other whenever he can get it. He especially loves to spend that time with a purpose - reading a book together. The pair of you made a promise to always read a chapter or two whenever you were together, you were never allowed to read ahead.

Huang Renjun - 黄仁俊

Cuddling by a warm fireplace with some wine and good conversation

Renjun can be very sophisticated and would especially be with a mature significant other, therefore he loves cuddling with his signifcant other in front of the fireplace and tasting different wines and just maintaining small talk.

Lee Jeno - 이제노

Taking a walk together while holding hands and cuddling

Jeno loves being active and spending time together exploring different nature trails. He always drags his s/o to join him on these trails, and even if you don’t agree and start to strop about this. ꒰ meeting nct dream at the amusement park 🎠 ꒱

synopsis: a day out with friends in the most magical place on earth gives you the chance at a happily ever after genre(s): strangers to lovers, fluff, slice of life, romance warning(s): cringe, romance, happy people, bad writing, bad grammar, probably the wrong tense somewhere, delusions, long sentences, mention of death (not really)? not reread for mistakes author's note: inspired from when i went to the amusement park last month and i suffer from parasocial relationships. some of these stem from real life experiences, but there was no dashing man just me nearly slipping out of a teacup and a basketball rolling past. some of them link, but each member has their own y/n in a sense! i also love how each passage gets longer...

이민형 MARK ↴

❝ maybe i can get your number? to repay you of course! ❞

― the amusement park had overpriced (and rigged) game stalls dotted around the area, with most being difficult basketball games that offer the best prizes. mark of course tries his luck at getting a big teddy bear but misses all his shots and his last throw so happens to roll over to you, the beautiful stranger of his dreams. you didn't really react to the ball at first, but as soon as you see mark jog over to you, you swiftly pick it up. it almost felt like that time had stopped and mark was running over in slow motion as a romantic soundtrack played in the background.

mark was a mess while retrieving the ball from you, continuously apologising for his clumsiness and bad aim, yet he can't help but check you out quite obviously (he's not so slick with it).

you couldn't deny how cute he was too, worrying over you even though you were completely unharmed. his awkward smile, shy eye contact and that one classic neck scratch move sent you into a pitiful state of embarrassment. but thanks to his wingman (a dream member of your choice), mark finally gives in to his friend's teasing and asks for your number in hopes he can repay you with a date some time and who are you to decline such an offer?

(fun fact: he didn't win a single prize for the whole day.)

黄仁俊 RENJUN ↴

❝ don't worry, i've got you. ❞

― teacups are a must when it comes to amusement park outings, thus the queue had to be extra long on the saturday you were there. for a good half an hour, you waited with your friends' constant complaining only for your suffering to end with you and another friend to not get on while the rest of your friends squeezed themselves into one teacup (traitors). but the universe decided o be nice for once as it fatefully made a pair of (drop dead gorgeous) boys in a teacup offer you and you friend to join them and kick out the giant plush that sat with them.

it was awkward to to sit next to strangers of the same age in such close proximity, but as long as you got on a teacup, you couldn't complain about sitting next to who you later learned was called renjun. the ride was great fun though, aside from the fact that you nearly slipped out (teacups never have belts) while your friend spun the cup at the speed of light. but don't worry, renjun was sure to grab your hand to save you. his friend couldn't miss the chance to whistle at the smooth move from him and this normally would set renjun off, but instead he seemed to gain confidence into sliding his arm around your shoulder to securely hold you in place right against him.

he was your knight in shining armour, and for the rest of the day he always seemed to be on the look out for you, just in case you needed saving again (of course he got your number at some point).

이제노 JENO ↴

❝ you could return it to me, but i think you should keep it. ❞

― you didn't think you were one to be persuaded into riding the biggest and wettest ride of the park, but there you were waiting in line for the biggest and wettest ride. now you didn't believe the ride itself to be scary, but walking around in soaking clothes for the rest of the autumn day (your only clothes may i add) sounded like a complete nightmare. yet the feeling soon washed away once you saw the beautiful boy named jeno. he definitely suited being in the most magical place on earth with his prince charming look.

not only did help you step onto the wobbly boat, offering his hand while you stepped down and give you a reassuring smile a second before your vision was solely covered by a huge splash of water, he was the gentleman who didn't hesitate in giving you his spare hoodie after noticing that you had no spare clothes as you both dried yourselves off at neighbouring heat booths. he didn't mind walking around in damp clothing, in fact he looked even better now that his white shirt was soaked.

jeno of course doesn't forget to slightly pull the bottom hem of his damp shirt to "dry" his face just to show off one of his great assets; he couldn't pass up the opportunity to look good infront of the stranger who's caught his eye.

이동혁 HAECHAN ↴

❝ are you sure you're not following me? ❞

― haechan had "met" you before, at the teacups with renjun. at your first encounter you didn't converse much - it was more of weird eye contact as you both watched your friends "flirt" with one another. the next time you saw each other was at the arcade, then the burger place and many other rides & stalls. it wasn't uncommon to see the same person every now and then at the same amusement park, but it was the way he always caught your eye and gave you that darn smirk with the occasional wink that annoyed you and fluttered your heart. you could only reciprocate with forced smiles or more favourably, ignore him and divert your gaze.

every glance, every smile, every acknowledgement only added to the building tension until it came to the last ride of the day, the bumper cars, and it was just your luck to find yourself being repeatedly bumped into haechan's car. that's when the oftenly interrupted conversation began, with haechan bumping into your car on purpose now (he thought it was hot).

he insinuated that you were following him after you had "fallen for him at first sight" at the teacups, you very much disagreed to the statement which only made his interest in you grow. at this point you were attracted appalled by him and now joined in at passing back and forth forceful impacts to only blame it on the small children around you.

finally your round had ended but you somehow ended getting persuaded into giving you his number so he can continue to "argue" with you for the rest of the day and days to come. you most definitely wanted to give him you number though, you just didn't want to admit it.

나재민 JAEMIN ↴

❝ do you mind holding my hand just this once? ❞

― jaemin always believed he was a smooth talker; he was most of the time, until he was sitting next to the most beautiful being he had ever seen at the park's highest ride, the one that could drop you straight down at any given time with no warning whatsoever so thanks to the nerves, jaemin started a conversation with you in a panic, talking about anything his mind could conjure.

from telling his mum how much he loved her, to slipping out how single he was and how pretty you were. he even shamelessly asked for you to hold his hand, you easily complied to his request ever so willingly. you sat beside him listening to every word with a laugh which somehow calmed him before the ride suddenly dropped you both to land safely on the ground. you were fine aside from your hand being gripped too tight by jaemin which he only realised when he removed his hand to see the marking on yours.jaemin didn't waste a second to fall to his knees begging for your forgiveness infront of all your friends (the group chats that day were having a field trip).

smooth talker jaemin was long gone, but if it was because of the ride or you, jaemin couldn't tell. he did try to save his face by asking for your socials for the sad excuse of sending you pictures the ride's camera took. it wasn't your best picture, nor jaemin's, but seeing a notification from @.najaemin on instagram really made up for it.

钟辰乐 CHENLE ↴

❝ i guess a kiss can't hurt... ❞

― the sight of couples were sickening to all your life being single you, and in an amusement park, they were everywhere. of course the park had to use the couples for profit by introducing a couple queue fast pass for the famous ferris wheel, the most romantic ride of all.

the ferris wheel was your most anticipated ride, but the queue was way too long for someone as impatient as you. so amongst the crowd, you found chenle, and oh boy did he certainly take your breath away. he made the perfect fake boyfriend for your fast pass to the ferris wheel and thankfully he was more than happy to join you in your scheme. now the problem was to convince the workers you were a couple.

chenle was a pure natural at the whole boyfriend act, sliding his arm around your waist to pull you closer and passing you the toy he won at basketball to seem like he won it just for you. you weren't so bad either as you smiled warmly at him, even calling him "babe" lovingly infront of the staff.

yet even after your oscar worthy performance, the park rules required that the two of you had to take a picture of a romantic kiss and post it online with a cringey hashtag for marketing. nothing could stop you from getting onto that ferris wheel at sunset, so with consent and an apologetic smile, you gave chenle a small peck on the lips with your own for a quick picture. the plan worked to say the least and the ride between the two of you wasn't so awkward. but your comfort was soon to be interrupted by your friends rushing to you at the end of the ride to show you your instagram post with the caption "my happily ever after #trueloveat***park".

박지성 JISUNG ↴

❝ you're really cool... no wait, that sounds terrible. i mean you really are cool, i'm just not? ❞

jisung was definitely never an adrenaline junkie si he mostly stuck to rides designed for younger audiences or came up with the excuse that he didn't want to be sick as he ate a hot dog. unlike jisung, you didn't mind the big rides and didn't want to waste a great opportunity. so the first time he saw you that day was when you had gotten off the fastest roller coaster at the park, and pyou certainly looked like you ahd been on fastest ride with your hair out of place, and a wide grin stretched by adrenaline shooting through your veins.

to jisung you looked unreal, like everything he wanted to be: confident and unafraid. he almost felt jealous as he watched you converse with your friends about the ride; he wanted to be just as cool but instead he was watching his friends suffer from whiplash from where he stood on the ground.

he didn’t think he'd see you again, afterall you definitely wouldn't find him at any of the rides you wanted to go on. fortunately, he did get too see again, this time at a ride more to his liking, a simple double tiered carousel. while he sat on a pony at the bottom level, he watched you smile and laugh on a pony on the level above. by the end of the ride, everyday jisung would walk away casually, no effort in trying to make a move, but this time he found himself shuffling towards you. maybe it was the slightly off tasting hot dog from earlier, yet for a moment he felt confident enough to take the risk to shyly tell you how cool you are (he's got no moves), which somehow ended up with his phone getting a new number added with your name plus a heart. maybe he was a risk seeker afterall.
