편지라는 건 신기하다. 소중한 사람에게 받는 편지는 별 대단한 내용도 아니어도 눈물이 주르륵 흐른다.... 스스로도 왜 눈물이 나는지 이해 안 되게

난 편지를 그다지 좋아하진 않는다...라고 생각한다.

결국 종이 쪼가리 쓰레기가 될 뿐이라고 생각하는데 이건 아마 내가 소중한 상대에게 편지를 많이 받아보지 못해서 심술 난 걸지도 모른다

4년 전 연애할 때 글을 잘 쓰던 남자친구를 선망했다. 나보다 나이도 훨씬 많고 예쁜 문장을 잘 적던 사람이라 그에게 편지 한 통을 꼭 받아보고 싶었다. 연애하기 전 한창 가까워지던 시기에 나를 생각하며 쓴 글들은 마음에 일렁일렁 기분 좋은 파동을 만들어줬다. 그래서 그 사람을 만났던 것 같다. 그 사람은 외모도 잘난 편이 아니고 능력이 좋지도 내게 특별히 엄청 잘해주는 사람도 아니었지만 나는 그 감수성을 사랑했던 거다

하지만 막상 만나고 나니 그 사람에게 받은 편지 한 통 없더라. 기념일 생일 크리스마스 같은 날에 소소한 선물은커녕 편지 한 통 못 받아봤다

그때 정말 그게 많이 서러웠는데 시간이 지나면서 내가 편지를 받고 싶었던 사람이란 걸 잊고 지내왔다

그러다 이번 크리스마스는 평범한 편지 한 통을 받게 됐다. 특별히 멋지고 감수성 짙은 문장이 있지도 않은... 있어 보이는 말 어려운 말 미사여구는 찾아볼 수도 없는 투박하고 담백하고 평범한 편지 ㅎㅎ

그래서 더 기분이 묘했다.

안정적이고 편안한 사랑이라는 건 이렇게나 긴장감 없고 행복한 걸까..... 되게 특별하지 않은 행복함이다.

행복이 특별하지 않음은 행복이 당연해져있다는 뜻이다

나는 지금 이 행복이 당연하구나... 당연하게 행복한 사람이구나. 되게 소소하고 가끔은 심심하지만 언제나 불안하지 않고 나른한 평범한 사랑이구나

이런 감정을 지금은 어땠다고 글로 풀어 적을 수 있지만 당시엔 정리가 되지 않은 채로 벌컥 마주한 느낌이었다... 그래서 내가 느끼는 감정이 뭔지 어떤 기분인지도 잘 모르겠는 느낌? 슬프면서도 (지금이 슬프단 건 아니고 과거의 나에 대한 일종의 자기 연민적 슬픔이다) 행복한 묘한 기분이었다

아무튼.... 편지를 읽다 눈물이 똑! 떨어지는데 민망해서 얼른 닦아버린 크리스마스 날.....

의식의 흐름대로 쓴 내가 행복하단 걸 새삼스럽게 실감한 날의 일기... 😅

아무리 오랜 시간이 지나도 어떤 때, 어떤 사람에게 받았던 상처라는 게 완전히 아물지는 않는 것 같다. 그냥 덮어두는거지. 잠깐의 행복에, 혹은 또다른 상처에 잠깐 잊혀졌다가.

오랜만에 데이트 포스팅을 하는 거 같다.

그녀의 생일 선물을 가장해서 나도 안경을 했다. 그녀도 안경을 했고, 그녀는 안경을 회사에 놓고 회사에서 갈아 쓴다고 한다.

버거킹에 해쉬브라운이 돌아왔다, 그리고 망고 아이스크림도 나왔고(아마 망고는 지금쯤 단종 되었겠지)

사실 바닐라에 망고 시럽 좀 섞어서는 너무 느끼했거든

버거킹의 '맛의 헌장' 을 보고

남대문의 안경집을 찾아 안경을 하고

우리가 제일 좋아하는 평안도 집에갔는데, 하도 사람이 많으니까 2층 테이블을 주셨다. 오랜만에 내어주는 자리라 테이블에 기름떼가 끈적끈적였지만 우리를 포함해서 손님들은 알아서 물티슈로 쓱쓱 닦고 테이블 세팅을 하였다.

사실 이집은 새우젓도 동치미도 된장도 맛있다.

족발이랑 빈대떡때문에 오는 게 아니고

점점 저 새우젓과 동치미와 된장에 끌리는 거 같다.

어느 담벼락의 예쁜 꽃과 김수근님의 경동교회를 지났다.

"소망을 품고 즐거워 하며, 환란을 당할때 참으며, 기도를 꾸준히 하십시오" (로마서 12장 12절)

요즘 신앙생활을 띄엄띄엄하는데, 뭐 목사님 말씀도 딱히 틀린 건 아닌거라. 그냥 저냥 열심히 듣고 있다.

다만, 신이 인간을 만들었는지 인간이 신을 만들었는지는 아직까지는 내 신념은 후자다. 인간이 있고 신이 있지 않을까?

결국 우리는 어떻게든 태어난 이 세사상에서 내가 어디서 왔는지, 나는 어떤 사람인지, 어떻게 나아가야하는지 라는 내 자신에 대한 끊임 없는 질문을 하게 된다.

거기서 내가 얻은 정답은 '사랑' 이다.

내 가족을 사랑하고 내 형제를 사랑하고 내가 사랑하는 여자를 사랑하고 내가 다니는 회사의 동료와 내 일을 사랑하고.

그만하면 나는 어디서 왔는지, 나는 어떤 사람인지에 대한 절반의 대답은 찾았을 거라고 생각한다.

그래서 어서 결혼을 하고 싶다. 그리고 아버지가 되고 싶다.

내가 사랑하는 사이에 나와 그녀를 아니 그녀를 많이 닮은 아이가 생겼으면 좋겠다.

누구나 아버지가 되면 안 된다고 생각한다. 하지만 내가 아버지가 된다면 그 사람에게 내가 죽을때까지 다정하게 보살피고 내 부족한 지식과 삶을 사는 철학을 알려주고 싶다.

때로는 미련한 게 정답이고 손해 보는 게 정답이라고.

하는 거 없이 바쁘고 하는 거 없이 시간만 잘간다. 명절 주간이라 시간도 엄청 잘 갈 거 같다.

요즘 생각하는 게 있다.

ESG관련된 INDEX를 만들고 그와 반대되는 재무적관점의 INDEX를 추석 기간동안 만들어 보려고 한다. 그래서 친구들에게 나눠줘서 같이 내년 실적보고서에 실어 보려고 한다. 혼자 하면 공신력은 떨어지지만 같이 하면 공신력은 올라가겠지. 어디 한번 부딪혀보자.

일은 저질러야 되고 미련하게 굴어야지 뭐든지 이어지는 거니까.

1년 전에 쓴 글을 조금 고쳐보았다. 메리 크리스마스 텀친님들.

이건 나의 이른 크리스마스 인사. 

겨울은 사람을 불러내는 힘이 있다.

앙상한 겨울나무가 햇빛을 쐬고 있는 것처럼 체온을 가깝게 두고 가까운 사람에게 쉬이 그 체온을 내어주고 싶어진다. 겨울이 지나면 각종 녹색의 향연이 펼쳐질 거고 자연은 머무르는 법 없이 일단 왔다 하면 우린 찬탄 외엔 할 말이 없을 것이다. 그리고 아무런 기별 없이 흘러가고 다시 돌아온다. 우리는 아무것도 되지 않아도 괜찮은 자연의 일부라는 말을 해주고 싶다. 이건 크리스마스 인사. 모든 씨들은 아주 어두운 흙 안에 잠들어 있기 마련이고, 땅속 깊숙이 박혀있다 해도 싹이 트지 않는 일은 없다. 우리가 그 씨앗이라고 생각해주길. 본인보다 자신을더 믿어주는 사람이 곁에 함께하기를, 빛을 끌어안는걸 주저하지 않기를. 메리 크리스마스.

Q. I think you were trying to express some contrasting energy in the two different versions of the jacket. Could you please explain the two different versions?

Leo: In addition to the performance style, we tried to express styling that the members had not tried before, in line with the concept.

Hyuk: One thing is that it is a version that contains a lot of the individual colors and tendencies that each person has walked and grown in. The other is that when the individual pieces (i.e. the members) come together, they become one called VIXX. This is a version prepared with an apocalyptic sense of unity in line with the concept and worldview of the album and title.

Leo: I wanted to show the mystery and weight, but also the power inherent within it.
