HOW STRICTLY DO YOU FOLLOW CANON?   —   A mix of canon and HC stuff, but I try to be as canon as I can. There are a few things I didn’t vibe with though, so I uh... yeeted those out. Not too much tho.

SELL YOUR MUSE! Aka try to list everything, which makes your muse interesting in your opinion to make them spicy for your mutuals.   —   If I have to sell my version of her, uhh... you want a Naoto that isn’t as well-adjusted as the games/anime/manga seem to think she is? Then come talk to this Naoto... Force her to open up about her trauma. She cries when talking to other Naotos. If I had put an ounce of thought into my AU verses, you could’ve had different flavors of Naoto. You can uh, see soft and caring Naoto once you break her walls down. The real prize is... getting her to show a real, genuine smile and be happy for once in her miserable life. Healing is caring guysss. help me this is so hard.

Now the OPPOSITE, list everything why your muse could not be so interesting (even if you may not agree, what does the fandom perhaps think?).   —  She’s the last member to join the IT, so she was banned from a lot of things like the beach date in Golden. Probably a little boring compared to the rest of the IT. They have notable quirks but Naoto is just... :/ she exists. As for my Naoto, without rambling on for too long, she can talk to the others fine and make snide comments every now and then. Getting to know more about her is hard because she’s like “there’s no point cuz I’m leaving after the case is solved. so go awayyyy”. I’d explain more but this post is already way too long.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO RP YOUR MUSE?   —   I wanted to get better at writing her so I figured that bouncing her off of different people’s interpretations of characters would shape her into a defined thing instead of a blob. Look, I never said my origin story would be a riveting tale.

WHAT KEEPS YOUR INSPIRATION GOING?   —   Me being salty that Atlus doesn’t love and respect Naoto as much as I do. I have to scour around for Naoto lore crumbs, I have to give her the depth she deserves. I am forever mad about the existence of Persona x Detective Naoto. My hatred for that spinoff is 10% of why I made her arena route canon. Also the arena manga adaptation sucks ass. Not Ultimax. That one is good.

not me thinking about how gabriel is- a) really skilled and resourceful b) possible prodigy regarding his power *given how young he was/that his answer strongly impacted his future* yet- he undoubtedly never went to school, didn’t have much socialization until he gets out on his own *even then it’s pretty limited i’d say*.... he doesn’t own a car however he knows how to drive one, he doesn’t obviously own a boat but he knows how to steer one etc yet he lacks in knowing movies, pop culture etc most likely (doesn’t seem to own even a basic cellphone or tv etc) probably grew up without all of it and then found himself enamoured with music/books more anyways

perry's verses ive thought of thus far:

-right at the start/around before the start of show happenings canonically

-that gap of time before his death/space for things to veer off course depending+him to die another way,etc

-anywhere within the timeline of before ranging from months/year or so etc to earlier

-au where he didn't go seeking out the usher last name, or join the family at 16 (maybe thus only doing so around the trial/still pretty fresh to the family when everything goes down) or alternatively has mostly been doing his own thing+kept closer to his mother

-likewise obligatory hinted at other reality where things were different au so not really any draw or claim to riches as such (though drawn to some slight wanting to get to know his father+more so an bit intrigued by having siblings)

unlike his eldest siblings, niece wasn't born directly into the family. sure he's one of the "bastards" group, but the youngest in general and found out who his father was at only 16. is only in his 20's; which certainly shows.
