I was talking to @kirishimas-teeth about soft tododeku headcanons and I wanted to share them alkjfa. 

Shouto didn't have a good example of what a romantic relationship should look like, so when he started to like Izuku, he asked Momo to help him out

Momo would suggest things and send him links to articles with lists of romantic gestures. Shouto studied them religiously and got a lot of ideas thanks to her

At first, Shouto would do romantic gestures like checking off a list from what he'd read. He'd help Izuku with his chair during lunch, offered him his jacket when he was cold or a hug from his left side to warm him up, he'd attempt to make him some food or some tea when they were in the dorms, even offer him his hand when they were walking down some uneven steps. Shouto had read about being a gentleman. Izuku would get really flustered about it and would sputter and blush a lot, but he found it so endearing and sweet and always took Shouto's hand.

When it came to giving him things, at first it was small things like buying him food and even paying for him when they went out with their friends. But then he started to buy him bigger things, like when they'd go to the mall and Izuku would see something he liked, and Shouto would buy it for him. "But Todoroki, it's expensive! There's no need to-" "You like it, don't you?" "Well yeah, but it's not necessary-" "If you like it, then it is necessary."

Shouto is rich, Izuku, money isn't an issue alfjalkfaj

He is very protective of Izuku it's endearing.

Izuku catches on that Shouto likes him, but doesn't address it because he wants for Shouto to confess on his own rather than for him to push him to do it. It doesn't mean Izuku can't reciprocate, oh no. Izuku returns his feelings and they're so ridiculously sweet that class 1A starts a bet to see who asks the other out first.

Shouto eventually confesses first, but not before they flirt for like three months and everyone is in pain from watching them and how they just dance around each other and their feelings.

Izuku is so flattered by Shouto actually liking him that he bursts into tears when he accepts to be his boyfriend. Shouto immediately holds him and soothes him, kissing his forehead lovingly

they are absolutely adorable, and saccharine sweet that they give everyone cavities. I'm talking about them being like that cute couple that everyone swoons over and are like "they're couple goals for real."

Also when Izuku loses his shirt in a fight due to his quirk, Shouto immediately takes off his coat or jacket and gives it to him so he can cover up

Izuku also does this when Shouto burns through his own clothes alfkjaf but Izuku is very flustered about it and looks away so Shouto doesn't think he's staring at him

They're both just really shy alkfjafl very chivalrous okay they respect each other and their boundaries

Shouto doesn't particularly mind if Izuku sees him, but he really appreciates how he treats him and when he gives him his jacket, Shouto holds onto it like its the most precious thing in the world

When the class has movie nights, these two always always always sit together and if anyone takes their place, it feels weird. Like the whole class feels the difference so it's like an unspoken rule that Shouto sits on Izuku's left side and Izuku sits on Shouto's right side.

They share drinks with straws, but they will not share boba tea. that is strictly an individual drink for them because Shouto loves his boba alkfjalfka and Izuku respects that (honestly, he loves boba too alkfja)

Izuku loves to kiss Shouto's cheeks and Shouto loves to kiss Izuku's forehead. They have permission to kiss those spots and it's very intimate for them.

Also Shouto loves to kiss Izuku's hands, especially his right one. He kisses it with such reverence like it's holy and special and it always makes Izuku emotional

Izuku, in turn, loves to give Shouto kisses on his left eye, where his scar is. He's so loving about it, he's so gentle and sweet, and it makes Shouto feel like it's the best feature on his face. Izuku really makes him feel like his face is attractive--pretty, even--and he believes him when Izuku tells him he's beautiful

Just like Izuku helps Shouto with his confidence, he helps Izuku, too. Izuku has commented about how plain he looks and Shouto looks at him and takes his face in his hands and looks him dead in the eye and says "You know you're really handsome right?" And he could kiss his face all day if Izuku let him. Shouto doesn't miss a chance to help him feel like he's pretty, too

they just really love each other, okay

Izuku loves buying Shouto flowers. He has researched which are the best flowers to give to a significant other and every time, he makes sure to get the prettiest ones for him. even if he doesn't have a lot of money, he still does his best.

Shouto has pointed out that flowers wilt, but it's not about what flowers can do on their own, it's the intention and he appreciates it. so he has a vase in his room and puts the flowers in it and he adds the flower food and water until they are completely gone. he keeps Izuku's cards in a folder for safekeeping

Izuku loves looking into Shout's eyes and memorizing them

It also helps with them both practicing their eye contact alkfjalf

but yeah Izuku loves his eyes, they're so pretty and they have a sparkle to them and Izuku swears he can see stars in them. Or maybe it's because he's so in love that he sees so many good things

Shouto also loves Izuku's eyes. he thinks they're very green and glittery, like jewels that are found in really expensive jewelry stores. they have so much depth and he can get lost in them, and he can see himself in them.

they love to watch things together!!!! Izuku finally has someone to watch things with and Shouto can finally feel free to watch what he wants with someone who won't judge him. luckily, they're both into similar things
