Maybe he missed the spot but it counts! Or else embarrassment would burn him alive....

       Wings are tucked against his back as tightly as he can manage in the homely space of the cafe; soft feathers caressing slick armor and pressing into the curve of his spine - their slender tips licking at his calves where thick boots wrap. Hands are busy carefully pouring a generous amount of freshly brewed coffee into a collection of delicate cups laid out upon the counter before him, carefully and with a bit of distance - he has already broken far too many of them with clumsy wings that need more adjusting to than he would like to admit. Steam billowing up from the dark, tepid liquid that smells of beans and dry leaves; it’s pleasant aroma easily filling  the cluttered room - a space is made for everything and anything as far as the eye can see. Yet, he knows where every single thing is kept, hidden away in countless drawers or shoved aside on various countertops that breathe nothing but dedication to the craft, because he knows Sandalphon’s habits perhaps better than he even understands his own. Organized chaos, he had once heard Katalina mention in passing when she had come to pick up a cup for herself far too early one morning not too long ago, and he’s just now leaning, the more time he allows himself to spend here, what she had meant by that (because, to him, this space screamed nothing but Sandalphon - down to the selection of teacups themselves and to the way the tables had been set up so they faced the windows and the deck he had added).

     A hand gingerly takes one of those cups within its grasp to take it back up to the deck to serve to one of their waiting grew members, but fingers pause when he hears the click of heels against hard wood and he knows, even without the need to turn around or the sound of the other’s voice, that those footsteps belong to Sandalphon. He sets that cup back down, smile naturally falling onto pale lips as he turns to greet the other - something akin to stubborn determination brimming in those scarlet eyes that look up at him. “Oh, Sandalphon, good m-” Words retreat back down his throat before they even have the chance to finish; cut short by the hands that reach out to grasp the red ribbon wound loosely about his neck and it doesn’t take much, barely even a light tug - so little in fact that as the former Supreme Primarch he should be ashamed of himself - to pull him down just enough that he’s thoroughly within Sandalphon’s reach - eyes wide and swimming with surprise, though he doesn’t put him even the ghost of a fight to their newfound closeness. 

     The other’s lips brush against his cheek before he has a chance to ask what had prompted this, and that surprise that had taken hold a moment ago deepens all the more; just the faintest, so faint it’s difficult to even notice, but of color climbing to ivory features as wings twitch and threaten to spread out behind him (but he has enough awareness to stop them when they tap against the counter and threaten to spill the now lukewarm cups of coffee that are balanced behind him). It takes a moment of prolonged silence for him to recover enough that features soften and that shock slowly fades from his expression. His first thought - asking him what had brought him here, is tossed aside - long forgotten amongst the countless others that are now rattling against the bars of his mind and leaking into the very recesses of his now heated core where it drums mercilessly against his chest - something akin to weakness and tender affection twisting it up until it’s on the verge of bursting.      

       He has little idea what had prompted Sandalphon to kiss him, though he doesn’t mind either - he doesn’t need to know. This act of boldness is more than welcomed, but it won’t go unreturned now that he’s managed to, somehow, regain his composure. He leans down a bit more to return the kiss - lips pressing softly against the smaller’s cheek, almost mirroring the same spot where the sensation of Sandalphon’s touch still lingers against his skin. When he pulls away, the distance he allows is precariously brief. “Good morning,” he breathes gently in the air between them - the scent of coffee still clinging to his hair and armor. “You are as spirited as ever, I see, Sandalphon.” Humor drips into his voice; the corners of his mouth tugging upwards, but he doesn’t bother, just yet, to straighten himself out - there’s something about this closeness that settles the ever present hum of his core when he’s around the other, and he doesn’t want to lose it just yet.

so i have a Lot of gbf faves but... im going to talk about ferry for this. her entire lore was honestly the reason i got so hooked on gbf’s lore (in terms of the main story) last year. i completely misinterpreted her little sister thing at first (i thought her little ‘sister’ was drang, who then transitioned. hes still trans though<3) but shes just such a cool character! i love her ghost pets so much she cares about them a lot and momo is my Child as well. i was honestly. ecstatic to see she was brought along in act iii, even though the focus has shifted a bit its nice to see her in the main quests....

💢 what do you NOT like about your hyperfixation? is there something you would want to change about it?

obvious but........ the fact its still a gacha. no matter how much it feels like a visual novel or mmorpg...... its still a gacha at heart. the storytelling for gbf is way too good for a mobile game. luckily theres other media so its not strictly a gacha but. eugh. nasty.

i kin loki because i have some underlying issues. 💖💙 my ccs though are fenrir, noa, gran, and lucifer. there’s a few others but in terms of characters that make me feel safe & happy those are the main ones.

hmm. when gbf was still in the Early chapters and stuff, captain (gran + djeeta) had they/them pronouns used instead of he/him for gran and she/her for djeeta in the translation. it’s different now in the later content but go enjoy your gnc captains.

Class IV HCs Pt 1

Berserker Gran: 

He acts like a puppy, it’s kind of funny and adorable

He gets aggressive meeting new people, but he’s quick to warm up to others 

Really loves people ruffling his hair (he may even purr)

This is probably one of the most insane versions of Gran cuz usually he’s a bit more quiet than all of a sudden he’s screaming his power moves from the other side of the sky. 

I think this version of gran loved the power that came with being a berserker and became an adrenaline junkie (just my opinion but hey)

Fiercely protects Lyria. She is one of the few he trusts with his life and acts like a guard dog the moment suspicious behavior is near her. 

Hates the heat because hell no he’s walking around with that armor?? Not a chance.

Berserker Djeeta:

This girl wild, the utter definition of a party animal

Every time she goes into battle she howls loudly to the sky and shouts “COME ON LETS PARTY!!!!” Every. Freaking. Time.

She’d be a bit more rowdy and flirtatious, like nothing holding her back

OKay I feel like if she was older and at the age where she could, she’d get into heavy drinking contests with Eugen. It’s a damn mess when Djeeta gets drunk she cries over EVERYTHING she’s like “when I was younger a boy took my last cookie without asking me. EFF YOU RALPH FROM TWO HOUSES DOWN!!!” 

Loves her friends dearly and will cut someone if they dare make fun of them. 

Loves swimming

Spartan Gran and Djeeta (I put them together since I think they kinda act the same):

Both very serious and commanding, they have no problem telling others what must be done and how it should be done

Tend to be stand-offish and cold to many, but to the few (*Lyria*) they are more parental and affectionate

They are in the front lines defending everyone because they love them so much but just don’t know how to show it. 

Will be the first to yank someone back and be like “what the HELL kind plan is that you dumb idiot!! Do I really need to-”

They actually enjoy helping the kids, but sometimes the kids are very intimidated by them. To counter this, Djeeta and Gran would give them gifts anonymously to cheer them up.  

Sage Gran: 

“Work hard-play hard” type of guy. He can come off as serious and quiet, but he really is a nice guy when he’s not on duty

This dude loves soft animals he has stashed like thirty animals in his room and sometimes people see random bunnies, birds, and cats all around the ship. 

He lets the anxious crew members pet one of the animals to relieve their stress

All about positivity, this guy is like your health guru, he’ll be like, “no honey, don’t eat that, why don’t you try this??” You thought being healthy would taste disgusting YOU ARE WRONG!! THIS MAN WILL COOK YOU A FEAST AND ITLL BE LIKE ZERO POINTS ON WEIGHT WATCHERS

Sage Djeeta: 

She is the mother friend now

All the kids, adults, and animals love her for no reason other than, “it’s Djeeta”

Her award-winning smile has saved her from disaster countless times

Very much into helping everyone. She is the best peacemaker in the crew, and can change villain’s stances on their goals 

Is the best therapist ever. This girl will take you in, make you sweets and tea, and just have you rant for hours on end. 

Claims she can talk to animals and honestly no one would be surprised.

She is about positivity as well, but it’s about your emotional and mental health. She makes sure no one feels guilty for trying to help their mind. 

Warlock Gran: 

Kinda weird tbh. He’s quiet, but then has his sudden moments of insanity where he’ll just get soo excited over new forms of magic

He is a bit of a loner, and many think he’s planning new forms of destruction

Loves cats and books, he could spend hours reading and petting his cat. 

He doesn’t know why, but the kids love him. He remembers being their age, but he thinks he isn’t that good with them, so he does what he’s best at-magic. The kids go WILD at it and they’re like ‘DO THE SPARKLES DO THE SPARKLES DO THE SPARRRRKKLLESSSS’

Keeps a secret garden that no one else knows about. He grows funky looking plants and some accidentally mutate into horrendous monsters. 

Warlock Djeeta: 

This girl is perhaps the most energetic version of Djeeta

She’s a bit of a prankster and loves showing off her magic

A bit nerdy, but thinks experience is the best way to learn. She sometimes just mixes random shit together and is like ‘welp, hope it works!!!’ Keeps tabs on all her experiments.

“It’s not warlock, it’s magical girl you degenerate dumpster child!!” 

“It’s leviOsa, not levioSA.”

Loves performing for the others, but she always says, “remember chirren, that’s hardly the extent of my magical ability. If anyone is giving you a hard time I’ll make sure the blow them to bits!!!” 

Pyromaniac to the max she blows stuff up for no reason other than she felt like at the moment. 

Makes love potions and sells them to desperate villagers on the side (you didn’t hear the from me tho)

Loves birds and names each one by her favorite male victims crushes. (yall know she named one Sandalphon and that one is her fave)

GBF Husbando Spotlight: Rackam

IT’S HERE IT’S HERE!!!

It’s been ages since the last one, but with me sparking him and the balance patch arriving I’ve finally felt confident enough to write this. 

If you know me at all you knew this was coming, for my lust and love for thisman burns with the intensity of a thousand suns. Yes tis time for my #1 Husbando’s Spotlight, The Sexiest Meme Alive himself, Rackam!

Note: This was actually really hard to make into actual words instead of just inarticulate screaming.

The 2nd story character and first official member of the crew. He’s been with you since pretty much Day 1.

First story character to get his 5* uncap, giving him the rare wind atk- debuff and sweet new art with Tiamat.

His SSR is a great damage dealer, and with the patch one of the most reliable as long as he has a solid source of MA. Along with his passive to hit all enemies 70% of the time, now he can also build 2 stacks of Spitfire in 1 turn, giving him 40% atk boost each on a unique modifier. With Elysian he can ougi turn 4 with 3 stacks and 120% atk up. Plus Spitfire increases his ougi cap to around 3.2 mil and the chain burst to over 2 mil. Duration II is also incredibly handy against HL bosses with their OD phases being more dangerous. He shines alot in Rose Queen as he leads to a much faster break in 2nd phase and in Tiamat HL where he gives easy honors as he auto attacks all heads most of the time.

10/10 would spark again

It’s also heavily implied that Grand Series are getting their 5* uncap soon too, so his kit is going to get better. His SR gained a crit buff, mirror image, and wind atk- so there’s a good chance his SSR will too.

His personality is that of the Crew’s team dad (funny enough with the actual dads in the crew) and boy is it my weakness. He has a soft spot for children and younger members of the crew, and takes it upon himself to take care of them.

He’s an expert Helmsman and is actually quite famous for it. It’s even gotten to the point where other Helmsman ask him for his autograph. The sheer size of the Grancypher and how he managed to restore it single handedly is a testament to his skill and love for airships. And the chapter where he navigates the harsh winds of the Grim Basin is the ultimate testament to his skill.

In fact his SSR Fate episodes revolve around him helping a little girl who dreams of being a helmsman like him. When he discovers she’s in danger he goes off on his own to rescue her without endangering the rest of the crew. Of course in the end it’s too much than he can handle on his own and he gets shot. The crew comes by in time to rescue him and the girl and he realizes that everyone has grown enough for him to rely on them.

Fun fact he’s actually named after the famous pirate captain John Rackam (aka Calico Jack). The man most well known for his relationship with Anne Bonny and Mary Reed and his first mate designing the iconic Jolly Roger. 

He’s hot. Like....really hot. I fell in love with this man at first crash. That styled brunette hair.....the facial hair....the cigarette..his face. All of that gives me the ossan feel that I’m a plain sucker for. Plus his gun and even the sword he never uses just gets to me. A prime reliable Ossan design. 

HE HAS A BLUSHING IMAGE AND IT’S ADORABLE

Plus Hiroaki Hirata’s voice as him is just perfect! Older and experienced but not super old man status. I don’t know how to describe it exactly but it’s so damn attractive.

He’s 29 years old, putting him slightly above average in the crew’s rather young age range, but not as old as the clear elder members of the crew. While he has all the points of Ossan appeal (at least in my book) calling him one might be a bit of a stretch. It doesn’t stop him from feeling old though, as he talks about getting older a few times. 

He might not be the most muscular of the crew since he is one with bara gods like the Soiya Squad and Male Draphs. But he does have a nice muscular frame of his own. It’s most prominent in the meme comics and brief bits in the anime. In comics he strips time to time for certain gags revealing a nice body. In the anime he sports a black tank top for a while allowing you to see the musculature on his arms, and even takes off his armor for a bit, revealing that that the shirt he wears under it is skintight as you can make out the outlines of his pecs through the fabric. (I’m still angry he never stripped in the beach episode)

His charms have not gone unnoticed too. The man is straight up primal bait as Lyria’s Tiamat and Noa are really close to him. The little girl from his SSR fates even falls for him as she asks if he has a girlfriend in the end of the 2nd one. According to Lowain and Bros he has a decent sized following of fans as well. They described him as “the type of guy who would spoil you”. 

He’s also is pretty good with the Bass (after some practice). He plays in a band with Vryn and Aoidos. So he fills the hot dude on bass niche too.

In fact before Lowain and Bros decided on making Jin the Sexy Sensei of Albion High. He was considered for the role before they gave it to Jin, feeling that Rackam already had too many fans to be their Sensei figure.

He’s a Sexy Santa

His Christmas Fates were some of the cutest things I’ve ever seen. It literally revolves around stealing Christmas cake in the middle of the night.The second fate literally called “Friendly Feels” is a search for a Christmas tree for the crew. It ends with him holding a ladder for Vyrn, Lyria, and Gran/Djeeta to put the star on. After the star is put on and the tree is decorated he gives his thanks as he never thought he’d ever spend a Christmas like this before. The fate ends with Lyria telling him that all Christmases are going to be like this one from now on, as he smiles and while having his doubts about the certainty of her statement, enjoys the warmth of the holiday on the cold winter night.

He’s a perfect mixture of both my love for memes and hot older men. For he has not one, or two memes, BUT 3.

Legend of Rackam: Not touched upon recently but a damn good one. Rackam and his exploits are so legendary that kids years later learn of his heroic tales thanks to a wise old scholar. His frog suit meme had actual white day chocolates sent to it by fans.

DURRAY DURRAY DURATION!: Rackam’s amazing moves leave afterimages that confuse and somehow relax the enemy’s rage. A meme so powerful he taught it to others for protection and almost durrayed himself out of existence against a great foe. In fact this meme is so powerful that it’s leaked out of the Grand Blues verse into reality long ago and nobody even questions it. His Casino skin and Santa version both end battles with the Durray~ dance with sound effects and everything.

RACKAMUUUUUUUUUU!!! (also localized as plain RACKAAAAAAAM!!!): Rackam fucking explodes and dies. Well to be more specific the first Rackamuuu! didn’t even have an explosion as he died falling off the ship riding on a icicle and Katalina screamed it. However with later variation most of his deaths have been explosion related, resulting in the meme being tied to explosions now. Despite the fact that he explodes he actually ends up fine due to a scientific phenomenon known as Rackam’s Law, but details have yet to be divulged to the public from the former nobility of Iristill. 

Him and the MC/You share a very close bond due to all that they’ve gone through together. He basically entrusts the fate of the Grancypher to your judgement when he’s forced to fight you as an enemy by that little douche Gilbert.

He gets flustered around Djeeta and it’s noticeable in the voiced skins. Where he stumbles around for a bit after battle replying to her compared to his fater response to Gran.

Like most of the GBF cast come Valentines and White Day he catches feelings for the captain of the opposite gender, however unlike many he’s kind of unsettled and in denial of it due to the age gap.

It’s most detectable in the Valentines and White Day lines in year two. Year one it’s rather quick with him being flattered to get a chocolate and blushing with embarrassment when he gives the return gift on White Day.

However year two has him joke about waiting for Djeeta to give him chocolate and telling her not to think about all the serious stuff since it makes him nervous. Then he promises her to get something great for White Day.

Come White Day he calls her over to give her his present (no CG yet sadly sadly) and thanks her for always working so hard. Then he literally says “ Well, not just thanks. But I can't say any more than that, all right? You shouldn't pry into the mind of an adult, you know. “ Then says he’s gonna keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn’t drive other people crazy.

I probably forgot or missed something but this post is long enough.

Okay if I’m being honest Gran looks like the type of guy who gets scared of the dark. 

Like ‘hahaha guys that’s pretty funny you would lock me in a dark room hahaha could you open the door hahaha why does god hate me’

Idk I feel like he has the Peter Parker type personality. Just saying I don’t really know

Could probably make a bomb-ass cake though, he is such a sweetie!

Screams every time anyone compliments him on his work

Just a sensitive little baby who I will protect with my life.

I’d say he hates reading. Like ‘my eyes hurt already why must I continue to suffer’. Would probably like someone to read to him though

Probably gets pretty flustered around more mature women and men. He just thinks they’re so cool and wishes to be like them. 

The more quiet one, he tends to think more with his emotions and just sit for hours pondering things. 

Takes care of Lyria like a brother. He cares for her deeply and doesn’t want her to hurt herself. 

Djeeta: 

Send help this girl falls in love with every person she meets 

Prolly couldn’t navigate a kitchen to save her life.

I think she’s the more outgoing one, just kind of like a sweet girl wanting to get to know everyone and helping anyone she comes across

Very much into fashion and glitter. This girl will be popping and sparkling so much you’d go blind (Korwa makes sure to get that crap off and fix it to not look like a kindergartner's art project)

 Djeeta probably cries once in a blue moon (for issues that are actually concerning). She likes to put on a brave face and show that she can be a strong leader, not a young child. She usually cries in private though. 

Don’t tell me that her and Arthur don’t talk to each other nearly every day because he thinks she’s so cool (and perhaps even cute) for being a captain. He looks up to her and she considers him like her best friend/little brother. 

Oblivious to when people like her. A lot of people find her attractive and it completely goes over head. 

She only allows Sandalphon to make her coffee. She hates the taste but because it’s Sandy she has him make her some. Just her way of showing she appreciates him.
