there isn't a reaction image on earth that can convey my feelings abt voltron tbh. it's the worst show I've ever seen. it has more potential than anything else I've ever come across. it actively makes me want to tear out my hair with how horrible it was but it also wants to make me tear out my hair with all the potential Themes and Motifs they could have played

#like!!!!!!!! #there was sooo much potential for exploring really dark themes #genocide. emperialism. imprisonment. slavery. torture. racism. the effects of war on individuals and communities. etc. #and some other themes too like being of mixed heritage + trying to find a place to fit in. found family. e t c . #just!!!! GAAAHHHHH. #also the characters genuinely make me INSANE. balls to the walls FERAL. BUCKNUTTY EVEN. #a princess who is quite literally one of the last of her race. upholding her entire culture on her shoulders. #a former prisoner who had been tortured and experimented on for a YEAR before turning around and leading a group of teenagers in a war. #a kid from the foster system whose deepest trauma stems from fire (the very element he later comes to command as a paladin) #ET CETERA. #like. i hate voltron soooo much but i also love it. i love what it could have been. #and by GOD if im the one who will turn it into what it could have been than so be it. #winter speaks #voltron #<- if u value ur sanity. blacklist #(i will not be stopping the brainrot anytime soon. unfortunately.)
