I'm kind of new to the world of final fantasy 7 I even didn't know that sephiroth knew that hojo was his father, I thought he didn't know xD Reading your previous answer to Anon, it may change with lucrecia, she did long to hug her son maybe sephiroth is different with his mother. But he sees Jenova as his mother, how do you think he would take it with lucrecia?

Well, ahckshually, you're right that Sephiroth doesn't know Hojo is his father. It's explicitly stated by Hojo himself towards the end of the game just before his boss fight.

In this post I was asked to list five angsty headcanons, and I mentioned: ‘Sephiroth considers himself parentless. Even if Hojo and Lucrecia are his biological parents, and he holds JENOVA’s cells, none of them raised him or truly loved him.’

I don’t think Sephiroth really sees Jenova as his mother. During the Nibelheim incident he most certainly did, but after he falls into the lifestream, he seems much less inclined to refer to Jenova as ‘mother’ (most likely because he learns of her true origins as an extraterrestrial being). So I don’t think he’d have confusion like oh, is Lucrecia my true mother or Jenova? because he’d understand he would’ve been birthed by a human.

I... actually answered an ask very similar to this one right here. About how Sephiroth would react to Lucrecia (though it requested the reactions of pre-Nibel, post-Nibel and Redeemed!). It pretty much answers this question under the Post-Nibel part.

Frankly, I’ve said this so many times before, but I’ll say it again: I REALLY WANT THEM TO MEET IN REMAKE AT SOME POINT. Sephiroth interacting with either Hojo or Lucrecia could be so fascinating and allow for really good character exploration, showing a side of him we’d have never seen before, a very vulnerable side. I’m unsure if it’ll happen but... boy would it be wonderful.

When you realize Seph was so sleep deprived, aching, and mentally destroyed that he completely forgot he once had a photograph of his own mother and believed that a grey-skinned Ursula with an eye on its breast brought him into this world instead

I know I know- he prolly thought everything was a lie at this point and most definitely discarded everything Hojo once told/gave him. But it really does make you think how the logical part of Sephiroth’s brain was just completely shut down like a fast food restaurant caught with a rat problem
