i must say, writing a book like whispers for once (aka one where i know 90% of the main storyline going in and enough of the other to improvise it well) has meant editing is... way easier than it has been before.

Katanya di alfagift buy 1 get 1 outside yg 1 liter, cuma 40k dpt 2 lsg ceki2 ke aplikasinya, taunya habessssss belom rejeki lah haha. Jadinya beli yg itu oat milk coffee.. Rasanya kaya cafe latte, susu oat dominannya.. Yg ini kopinya lebih berasa wlpn ngga terlalu pait. Buatku yg ngga terbiasa dgn rasa2 oat milk, soy milk yaa gitu aja lah yaa cem hazelnut coffee~

and maybe this statement came late but better late than never I suppose, so it’s not like GW is really giving bigots a platform but this is only for official events and what not.

and to be fair, the IoM was supposed to be a parody of like, a ridiculous super fascist galactic empire but that was when 40k was Rogue Trader and a much sillier game. Now as the lore evolved IoM stopped being a parody but was still depicted as a really bad thing in greater fluff, committing war crimes on whims and for fun almost casually. I don’t think it’s surprising for a series that’s still focused on humanity, the hyper militarized and xenophobic would find sympathies with 4th reich larpers, even if the irony is the IoM is responsible for a lot of its modern day problems because the Emperor was definitely a dumbass who made a lot of egregious boneheaded decisions (how’d that state enforced atheism work out for ya?)

also like with all things, 40k is a work of fiction. I think it’s more unrealistic than anything else that the Imperium hasn’t collapsed under its own bloated corpse with the sheer amount of logistics involved keeping a population in the trillions fed and the amount of troop movements that would have to coordinated to fight the endless amount of wars, among the other myriad of problems it faces like cultists of both daemonic and xenos origins.

The Imperium simply put, isn’t something to admired and they’re only the “protagonist” of the setting because they’re humans and space marines sell like oxygen.
